This qualitative research involves the Documental Analysis of Didactic Collections intended for the literacy of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, produced between 2015-2018, a period subsequent to the establishment of a mandatory Law requiring the inclusion of autistic children in the Regular Education System, in all school levels (BRASIL, 2012; 2014). The problem-solving questions that generated the Document Analysis were: What was the epistemological contribution used in these Collections to guide the literacy processes? Would it be linked to the formal logic of the Traditional Pedagogy? Or was it centered on the dialectical logic of the Historical-Cultural Pedagogy and Historical-Critical Pedagogy? The results confirmed the initial hypothesis of the formal logic exclusive use of Traditional Pedagogy and enabled the accomplishment of the final goal of the proposition of epistemological reviews of these Collections, aiming a reflexive educational training of autistics, from their intra and inter personal relations, valued by the Psychology of Cultural Development and by the Materialist Philosophy of Language. Increasingly, economists study narratives and their causal impact on economic processes. This paper proposes a new theoretical framework of narrative analysis that is based on the philosophy of language, especially speech act theory, motivated by the observation that, so far, the economic approaches focus on the representational function of narratives and tend to emphasize negative consequences of biased, distorted, and simplified representation. In contrast, we define narratives as a medium of distributed cognition and mediators of collective agency in networks of agents operating in an uncertain and complex world that is materially constituted by their actions. After sketching the theory, we introduce a case study on the role of central bank communication in recent economic developments in Brazil for illustrative purposes, focusing on the role of financial audiences and a specific narrative genre, the “austerity genre” induced by the Brazilian Central Bank. In this paper I examine the notions "native speaker" and "non-native speaker". In the first part, I review the literature on the notions that was sparked off by Coulmas' (1981) collection of articles, followed by Paikeday's (1985) debate with different linguists, and continued in the 90s with Davies' text (1991). The year 1995 marks the publication of three articles published in one issue of the Journal of Pragmatics in which voices of scholars from the East exchange views with some Western researchers on the issue of nativity and nonnativeness. In the second part, I point to the outcomes of the debate that have brought about a reevaluation of the non-native speaker concept and have contributed to the modification or correction of views with regard to the notion "native speaker". Despite a critical revision, the notion has survived the debate, but is employed with more care and without an exclusionary stance by those who use the term in the fields of linguistics, applied linguistics and in the area of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In the third and final part of the article, I first present a personal narrative with respect to the terms "native speaker" and "nonnative speakers" and secondly, set out some implications for the role of English for Brazil in the ensuing years. My objective here is to present the state of the art with respect to the history of thinking about the complex term "native speaker" in language studies. This article proposes a reflection on a place for epistemological studies about the Bakhtin Circle, as well as it also reflects on the perspectives of Brazilian approaches to that. It also sheds light to the issues concerning the production, the circulation and the reception of works of the Russian Circle in order to understand why, in Brazil, we can speak of Dialogic Discourse Analysis (DDA), affiliating the so-called dialogical philosophy of language to an analytical theory, grounded in the relation between linguistics and cross-linguistics. In order to do that, this paper focuses on the notions of dialogue, ideological sign, subject and exotopia. The hypothesis put forward is that, unlike other Analyzes of Discourses, the theoretical-analytical method of the Circle is dialogical. This is the peculiarity of its proposal. Approaches between linguistics and education have been pursued in recent decades, particularly in the area of science education. In that sense, this article aims to locate the conception of language underlying the work of Paulo Freire. For this, the analysis focuses around a few central concepts of Mikhail Bakhtin's philosophy of language and the theory of Discourse Analysis of the French school, such as "dialogicity" and "dialogue", "unfinished," "silence" and "reading." It also discussed the vision of communication that Freire presents in some of his books from the drawing criticism of the theorists' discourse about the communicative process. Thus, the search is to trace the similarities and departures between the pedagogy of Freire and the main ideas of Bakhtin and French Discourse Analysis, seeing possible contributions to science education. This essay intends to explore the ontological consequences of Vilém Flusser's philosophy of language that he introduced in his first works, written in Portuguese and published in Brazil. This paper will critically examine its main topics: his definition of speech as an act and language as an expanding human presence in the cosmos; linguistic performance as the most dignifying human characteristic and the identification of reality with language; and finally, the thesis that language creates, shapes and disseminates reality. Starting out from an instrumental definition of language, Flusser is compelled to define the world as secondary in relation to language. This paper tries to examine the underlying tensions or paradoxes of such a position as part of Flusser's dramatic rhetoric strategy, exploring the dangers of an extremely idealistic position sustaining the project of a linguistic ontology. It states that the workshop was scientifically sponsored by the Interest Group in Pure and Applied Logics (IGPL), The European Association for Logic, Language and Information (FoLLI ) and the Association for Symbolic Logic (ASL).
