Search

This paper proposes a method for fastest searching of data for persons, grouped by professions from the National Classification of Professions and Positions (NCPP) of the Republic of Bulgaria. The searching is based on a hash table by key -- the code of the practiced profession from the NCPP. A method for collision resolution is the use of chained lists, adopted for searching in a file. The main properties of the hash functions are examined and their application for NCPP is explored. The publication gives a theoretical basis for the future research in relation with putting into practice the described method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
