Abstract

The article discusses the results of a cross-sectional study which described the prevalence of the hypospadias among boys in Bulgaria. A total of 6,200 white boys were evaluated in the study. The overall prevalence of the hypospadias was 0.29%. Children from the rural origins have the tendency to higher prevalence. Most of the cases were mild with nine glanular and seven coronal hypospadias. The highest prevalence was in the region of Varna.
