The Climate Change Summit 2021, known as COP26, took place in Glasgow at the end of 2021. Although the responsibility of fossil fuels in the climate crisis was explicitly mentioned, the perception of the summit's outcome is uneven. The commitments of COP26 were embodied in the "Glasgow Climate Pact," which covers eight sections with 71 points. The timeline to meet greenhouse gas emission reduction targets was accelerated, and countries will have to submit updated plans by 2023. COP27 will be held in Cairo to assess progress in climate change mitigation. [Extracted from the article]
