The article provides information on the Mennonite church musicians in the 1990s in Canada. It mentions about the church music seminars that were organized by Mennonite Bible Colleges in Winnipeg since 1975. Meanwhile, the authors also compiled a basic demographic profile of the participants of the seminar and they seek information regarding their attitudes towards church music and desires as well as hopes for change. In connection, the study served to highlight the special training of the musician in a congregation.

The article presents a study on the life and works of Johan Peter Claszen, a Mennonite hymnologist in Canada. It relates the success of several Mennonite artists as musicians, choral groups and vocal soloists across the country. Claszen developed and published a collection of choral music entitled "Liederborn" in 1932. Claszen all his life had strived to place the Mennonite hymnody on a sound musical and theology, wherein he fought for what he believed of the best music. This article reports the findings of a research project that sought to learn how accurately secondary school choral students in Canada sing the national anthem. 275 students from twelve schools (two each in six cities representing six provinces) were tested for accuracy of melody and lyrics.
