Abstract

The article offers forecasts on the trends, issues and acquisitions that will be observed in the information technology (IT) sector in Canada in 2008. Research firm Radicati Group predicted that revenue for unified communications (UC) solution providers would grow to nearly $20 billion by 2010. Meanwhile, it is expected that the IT green movement will be trumped by an ailing economy and tightening technology budgets. In addition, the article predicts that enterprise software vendors will start to weave Web 2.0 capabilities into new versions of their products.
