Abstract

The article presents a study which explores the relationship between incineration and dioxins and furans in lakedbed sediments in Canada. It states that significant amount of dioxins and furans originate from the air emissions of waste incinerators. It presents a chart which summarizes the findings of the study depicting the toxic equivalencies (TEQs) of the samples collected.
