The graphics processing units (GPUs) are becoming a compelling acceleration strategy for geoscience numerical model due to their powerful computing performance. In this study, AMD's heterogeneous compute interface for portability (HIP) was implemented to port the GPU acceleration version of the Piecewise Parabolic Method (PPM) solver (GPU-HADVPPM) from the NVIDIA GPUs to China' s domestically GPU-like accelerators as GPU-HADVPPM4HIP, and further introduced the multi-level hybrid parallelism scheme to improve the total computational performance of the HIP version of CAMx (CAMx-HIP) model on the China' s domestically heterogeneous cluster. The experimental results show that the acceleration effect of GPU-HADVPPM on the different GPU accelerator is more obvious when the computing scale is larger and the maximum speedup of GPU-HADVPPM on the domestic GPU-like accelerator is 28.9 times. The hybrid parallelism with a message passing interface (MPI) and HIP enables achieve up to 17.2 times speedup when configure 32 CPU cores and GPU-like accelerators on the domestic heterogeneous cluster. And the OpenMP technology is introduced to further reduce the computation time of CAMx-HIP model by 1.9 times. More importantly, by comparing the simulation results of GPU-HADVPPM on NVIDIA GPUs and domestic GPU-like accelerators, it is found that the simulation results of GPU-HADVPPM on domestic GPU-like accelerators have less difference than the NVIDIA GPUs, and the reason for this difference may be related to the fact that the NVIDIA GPU sacrifices part of the accuracy for improved computing performance. All in all, the domestic GPU-like accelerators are more accuracy for scientific computing in the field of geoscience numerical models. Furthermore, we also exhibit that the data transfer efficiency between CPU and GPU has an important impact on heterogeneous computing, and point out that optimizing the data transfer efficiency between CPU and GPU is one of the important directions to improve the computing efficiency of geoscience numerical models in heterogeneous clusters in the future. The Sunway TaihuLight is the first supercomputer built entirely with domestic processors in China. On Sunway Taihulight, the local data memory (LDM) of the slave core is limited, so data transmission with the main memory is frequent during calculation, and the memory access efficiency is low. On the other hand, for many scientific computing programs, how to solve the storage problem of irregular access data is the key to program optimization. Software cache (SWC) is one of the effective means to solve these problems. Based on the characteristics of Sunway TaihuLight structure and irregular access, this paper designs and implements a new software cache structure by using part of the space in LDM to simulate the cache function, which uses new cache address mapping and conflicts solution to solve high data access overhead and storage overhead in a traditional cache. At the same time, the SWC uses the register communication between the slave cores to share on the different slave core LDMs, increasing the capacity of the software cache and improving the hit rate. In addition, we adopt a double buffer strategy to access regular data in batches, which hides the communication overhead between the slave core and the main memory. The test results on the Sunway TaihuLight platform show that the software cache structure in this paper can effectively reduce the program running time, improve the software cache hit rate, and achieve a better optimization effect. Flood is a kind of natural disaster that is extremely harmful and occurs frequently. To reduce losses caused by the hazards, it is urgent to monitor the disaster area timely and carry out rescue operations efficiently. However, conventional space observers cannot achieve sufficient spatiotemporal resolution. As spaceborne GNSS-R technique can observe the Earth's surface with high temporal and spatial resolutions; and it is expected to provide a new solution to the problem of flood hazards. During 19–21 July 2021, Henan province, China, suffered a catastrophic flood and urban waterlogging. In order to test the feasibility of flood disaster monitoring on a daily basis by using GNSS-R observations, the CYGNSS (Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System) Level 1 Science Data were processed for a few days before and after the flood to obtain surface reflectivity by correcting the analog power. Afterwards, the flood was monitored and mapped daily based on the analysis of changes in surface reflectivity from spaceborne GNSS-R mission. The results were evaluated based on the image from MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) data, and compared with the observations of SMAP (Soil Moisture Active Passive) in the same period. The results show that the area with high CYGNSS reflectivity corresponds to the flooded area monitored by MODIS, and it is also in high agreement with SMAP. Moreover, CYGNSS can achieve more detailed mapping and quantification of the inundated area and the duration of the flood, respectively, in line with the specific situation of the flood.
