This study measures the association between resources and the atmosphere; social and environmental aspects of energy production have become critical. In this context, the aim of this research is to explore the mediating effect of renewable energy patents in developing potential frameworks for energy policy viewpoints on the climate. The study took panel data from 2010 to 2017 and used a non-radial data envelopment analysis (DEA) process and panel data model for 30 Chinese provinces. The findings indicate that between 2010 and 2017, the average environmental efficiency index (EPI) of Chinese areas increased by 9.88%. When firms' internal variables are proxied by their commodity (revenue), the relationship term's point approximate coefficient is about 0.05. This magnitude means that a 1% rise in a company's assets will result in a 5% increase is estimated to be about 0.157, implying that a 1% rise in firm leverage is correlated with a 15.7%. Purpose: Soil net nitrogen (N) mineralization is a vital process that impacts the global N cycling and regulates the N availability for plant development. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the response of N mineralization to long-term organic versus inorganic fertilization and to quantify the relationships between N mineralization and soil microbial characteristics in the ferrosol (red soil) of South China after 30 years of mineral and manure application in a wheat-maize cropping system. Materials and methods: Soil was sampled from a wheat-maize rotation system, consisting of five treatments. The treatments included (1) CK (no fertilizer), (2) PK (synthetic phosphorus and potassium fertilizer), (3) NK (synthetic nitrogen and K fertilizer), (4) N (synthetic N fertilizer), and (5) NPKM (synthetic NPK fertilizer and manure). The sampled soil was analyzed for physicochemical parameters and incubated for the determination of N mineralization, soil microbial biomass carbon (SMBC), soil microbial biomass nitrogen (SMBN), and associated soil enzymes related to C and N cycling. Results and discussion: Results showed that NPKM increased soil organic carbon (SOC), available P (AP), total P (TP), and total nitrogen (TN) by 132%, 880%, 293%, and 76% respectively, over the control (CK). Among different treatments, soil microbial biomass nitrogen (SMBN) and carbon (SMBC) were highest under the NPKM treatment. N-cycling and P-cycling enzyme activities also showed significant differences among treatments. N-Acetyl-β-d-glucosaminidase (NAG), leucine-aminopeptidase (LAP), and acid phosphatase (AcP) activities were also highest under the NPKM treatment, at 650.36, 32.36, and 23.41 (mol g−1 h−1), respectively. A linear increase was observed in the NO3−-N and NH4+-N concentrations throughout the 90-day incubation period. NPKM showed a maximum N mineralization potential (No) and mineralization rate constant, k (NMR), at the end of the incubation period. A principal component analysis (PCA) interpreted the differences among fertilization and their effects on net N mineralization. A significant (p ≤ 0.05) positive correlation was observed between SMBC (R2 = 0.87), SMBN (R2 = 0.92), enzyme activities, and the No. Structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed that SOC, TN, and TP directly affected mineralization, while SMBC and SMBN indirectly affected the net mineralization. Conclusion: Manure input increased the extracellular enzymes in soil, which accelerated the net N mineralization due to enhanced soil microbial activities. Background: Melanosis coli (MC) is a colonoscopic finding in which the colonic mucosa appears darkly pigmented than usual and generally caused by extended anthranoid laxative use. Methods: We performed a retrospective study at Zhuhai Hospital to investigate the risk of MC for CR neoplasm development. A total of 12,776 patients who underwent colonoscopy from 2013 to 2016 including 250 diagnosed with MC and 500 controls were included in this study. Odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (95%CI) for associations of MC with CR neoplasm detection were estimated using univariate and multivariable multinomial logistic analyses for known risk factors. Results: The presence of MC was associated with a significant increase in the CR neoplasm detection rate compared with controls (OR = 1.701, 95% CI = 1.252–2.31; P = 0.001). The effect was also observed in different tumor sites, age group, gender, and lifestyle. Using univariate multinomial analysis, patients with MC were significantly associated with both hyperplastic polyp (OR = 2.069, 95% CI = 1.253–3.415; P = 0.005) and low-grade (LG) adenoma (OR = 1.585, 95% CI = 1.115–2.254; P = 0.010). However, there was no significant difference with adenocarcinoma (OR = 1.701, 95% CI = 0.990–2.924; P = 0.055). Using multivariate multinomial analysis, MC patients remained associated with increased hyperplastic polyp (OR = 1.870, 95% CI = 1.119–3.125; P = 0.017) and LG adenoma (OR = 1.474, 95% CI = 1.027–2.114; P = 0.035), but not adenocarcinoma (OR = 1.620, 95% CI = 0.914–2.871; P = 0.098). A significant increase in CR neoplasm rate was observed with drinker, smoker, and elderly patients but not with gender. Conclusion: Patients with MC were more likely to have both hyperplastic polyp and LG adenoma. Harmonious ecological environment is a major concern with rising feeding and consumption of ducks, as these waterfowl birds can promote the spread of antibiotic resistant genes (ARGs). Therefore, this study was conducted to know diversity of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), integrons, and mobile genetic elements (MGEs) in Escherichia coli (E. coli) isolated from intestinal contents or pericardial effusion of diseased ducks from 2018 to 2020 in Sichuan, China. The AMR phenotype was determined via disk diffusion test in 165 E. coli isolates. Further, the integrase genes of integron (intI1 , intI2 and intI3 genes), gene cassettes (GCs) and MGEs were screened by PCR and sequencing. The results indicated 100% isolates were resistant to at least one antibiotic and 98.8% were multidrug-resistant strains. Highest AMR phenotype was recorded to rifampin (97.0%) followed by ampicillin (95.8%), chloramphenicol (89.7%), trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (84.2%), ciprofloxacin (83.0%), cefotaxime (80.0%), streptomycin (75.8%), doxycycline (49.7%), amikacin (10.3%), amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (3.6%), polymyxin B (1.2%) and ertapenem (0.6%). Further, class 1 and 2 integrons were found in 87.3% and 17.6% isolates, respectively. All isolates were negative for intI3 gene. The variable region of class 1 and 2 integrons contained total 13 different GCs, including arr-3 + dfrA27 , dfrA1 + aadA1 , dfrA17 + aadA5 , dfrA12 , dfrA1 + sat2 + aadA1 , dfrA12 + aadA2 , dfrA5 , aadA2 + ere(A) + dfrA32 , aac(6') - Ib - cr , aadA22 , aadA5 , dfrA17 , and dfrA27. Moreover, 13 MGEs in 69 different combinations were observed with predominance of IS 26 followed by tnpA /Tn 21 , trbC , IS Ecp1 , merA , IS Aba1 , tnsA , tnsB , tnsC , IS 1133 , tnsD , IS CR3 / 14 , and tnsE. Thus, the monitoring of integrons, MGEs and ARGs is important to understand the complex mechanism of AMR, which might help to introduce interventions for prevention and control of AMR in duck farms in China. Pyrus ussuriensis Maxim (Korean pear) has been used for hundreds of years as a traditional herbal medicine for asthma, cough, and atopic dermatitis in Korea and China. Although it was originally shown to possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiatopic properties, its gastroprotective effects have not been investigated. In the present study, we evaluated the protective effects of Pyrus ussuriensis Maxim extract (PUE) against ethanol-induced gastritis in rats. The bioactive compound profile of PUE was determined by gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The gastroprotection of PUE at different doses (250 and 500 mg/kg body weight) prior to ethanol ingestion was evaluated using an in vivo gastritis rat model. Several endpoints were evaluated, including gastric mucosal lesions, cellular degeneration, intracellular damage, and immunohistochemical localization of leucocyte common antigen. The gastric mucosal injury and ulcer score were determined by evaluating the inflamed gastric mucosa and by histological examination. To identify the mechanisms of gastroprotection by PUE, antisecretory action and plasma prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), gastric mucosal cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), and histamine levels were measured. PUE exhibited significant antioxidant effects with IC50 values of 56.18 and 22.49 µg/mL for 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′- azino-di-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline)-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) inhibition (%), respectively. In addition, GC/MS and HPLC analyses revealed several bioactive compounds of PUE. Pretreatment with PUE significantly (p < 0.05) decreased the ulcer index by preventing gastric mucosal lesions, erosion, and cellular degeneration. An immunohistochemical analysis revealed that PUE markedly attenuated leucocyte infiltration in a dose-dependent manner. The enhancement of PGE2 levels and attenuation of cAMP levels along with the inhibition of histamine release following PUE pretreatment was associated with the cytoprotective and healing effects of PUE. In contrast, the downregulation of the H+/K+ ATPase pathway as well as muscarinic receptor (M3R) and histamine receptor (H2R) inhibition was also involved in the gastroprotective effects of PUE; however, the expression of cholecystokinin-2 receptors (CCK2R) was unchanged. Finally, no signs of toxicity were observed following PUE treatment. Cisplatin is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic drugs for patients with advanced non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Single high-dose cisplatin is a commonly used chemotherapy regimen in the world. At present, fractionated doses cisplatin is used in most hospitals in China. Although many doctors have begun to try a single dose of cisplatin, there are still few studies on the comparison of the 2 regimens. This study describes the efficacy and side effects of cisplatin single-dose administration and fractionated doses regimen in the treatment of advanced NSCLC. A retrospective study was conducted on 219 patients with advanced NSCLC who received chemotherapy with DDP were divided into 2 groups according to the single dose of cisplatin from January 2014 to December 2017. For experimental group, 108 patients were enrolled and received DDP at a dose of 75 mg/m2 on day 1. A total of 111 patients were enrolled in the control group, and DDP was administrated at 25 mg/m2 on days 1-3. The efficacy, toxicity, and progression-free survival of the 2 groups were observed and analyzed. In the experimental group, the numbers of patients who received PR, SD, and PD were 66, 34, and 8 respectively. In the control group, the numbers of patients who received PR, SD, and PD were 18, 77, and 16 respectively. The percentages of patients with a objective response rate response in the experimental group were significantly higher than that in the control group (61.11% vs 16.22%, P < 0.0001). The incidence of III-IV vomiting in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (11.11% vs 26.13%). The incidence of I-II hiccups in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (15.74% vs 10.81%). None of the patients had III-IV degree nephrotoxicity. Myelosuppression mainly manifested as leukopenia. In the experimental group, the incidence of I-II degree of leukopenia was 71.30%, and the III-IV degree was 7.41%, which was 74.77% and 11.71 respectively in the control group. A small number of patients have a decrease in mild platelets and hemoglobin. For patients with advanced NSCLC who require chemotherapy with DDP regimen, the short-term effect of single-dose administration of DDP is better than that of fractional small-dose administration. Intercropping has been considered as a kind of a sustainable agricultural cropping system. In southwest China, maize/soybean strip intercropping has commonly been practised under local limited agricultural land resources. However, heavy rainfall in combination with high humidity and low temperatures cause severe pod and seed deterioration in the maturity and pre-harvesting stages of intercropped soybean. Numerous Fusarium species have been reported as the dominant pathogens of soybean root rot, seedling blight, as well as pod field mold in this area. However, the diversity and pathogenicity of Fusarium species on soybean pods remain unclear. In the current study, diseased soybean pods were collected during the cropping season of 2018 from five different intercropped soybean producing areas. A total of 83 Fusarium isolates were isolated and identified as F. fujikuroi, F. graminearum, F. proliferatum, and F. incarnatum-equiseti species complex based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of the nucleotide sequence of EF1-α and RPB2 genes. Pathogenicity tests demonstrated that all Fusarium species were pathogenic to seeds of the intercropped soybean cultivar Nandou12. Fusarium fujikuroi had the maximum disease severity, with a significant reduction of seed germination rate, root length, and seed weight, followed by F. equiseti, F. graminearum, F. proliferatum, and F. incarnatum. Additionally, the diversity of Fusarium species on soybean pods was also considerably distinct according to the geographical origin and soybean varieties. Thus, the findings of the current study will be helpful for the management and resistance breeding of soybean pod decay in the maize/soybean intercropping system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a major cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. miR-34 induces changes of its downstream genes and plays a key role in altering the apoptotic cycle and pathways of downstream cells and therefore influences carcinogenesis. The present study investigated whether the single nucleotide polymorphism rs4938723T > C in the promoter of region of miR-34b/c may increase the risk of CRC and influence outcome in patients with CRC. We enrolled 1078 CRC patients and 1175 cancer-free controls subjects from the Chinese population. miR-34b/c rs4938723T > C polymorphisms were genotyped using a TaqMan PCR method. We found that subjects carrying rs4938723CT/CC genotypes have significantly decreased risk of CRC (adjusted odds ratios (AOR) = 0.75, 95% CI (0.63–0.90) for CT vs.TT; AOR = 0.61, 95% CI (0.46–0.83) for CC vs. TT and AOR = 0.73,95% CI (0.61-0.86) for CT/CC vs. TT) and a significant increased median survival time (MST) compared with those with TT genotypes (MST = 96.500; 75.883 and 71.370 months for CT, CC and CT/CC respectively vs. MST = 54.300 months for TT, p <0.0001). Stratified analysis by both life style and clinicopathological risks revealed that subjects carrying rs4938723CT/CC genotypes were remained significantly associated with increased survival and low risk of CRC compared with those with TT genotypes in all subgroup (all p <0.05). Similar observation was also reported for the prognostic value of rs4938723TC/CC genotypes across all subgroups. These findings indicate that the miR-34b/c rs4938723T > C polymorphism is an independent variable and associated with a decreased risk of CRC in Chinese population. This study investigated relationships between ecoenzymatic stoichiometry and microbial community structure under long-term (38-years) combined organic and inorganic fertilization. Experiment was initiated in 1982 and seven fertilization treatments were studied that included: CK (no fertilizer), NPK (inorganic N, P and potassium fertilizers), NPM (inorganic N, P fertilizers and manure), NKM (inorganic N, K fertilizers and manure), PKM (inorganic P, K fertilizers and manure), NPKM (inorganic N, P, K fertilizers and manure) and M (manure) treatments. We analyzed soil and microbial biomass of C, N and P, enzyme activities related to C, N and P, and their effects on the microbial community structure in the top layer (0–20 cm) of the paddy soil. The results showed that combined application of manure and inorganic fertilizers significantly increased soil C, N, P contents, extracellular enzyme activities and total phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) concentration, compared to the NPK and CK treatments. Fertilization treatments significantly changed microbial biomass stoichiometry. Among all fertilization treatments, highest microbial biomass C:N, C:P ratio and N:P ratios were 10.2, 36.0 and 3.59, respectively, under the PKM treatment. Soil C, N and P-cycling enzyme activities were highest under the NPKM treatments. Soil C:N showed positive and soil C:P ratio showed negative relationships with microbial biomass C:N and C:P ratios, respectively. Soil total PLFA concentration was highest under NPKM treatment. The order of individual PLFAs concentrations in all fertilization treatments was: Gram negative bacteria > Gram positive bacteria > Actinomycetes > AM fungi > Fungi> Eukaryotes > anaerobes. Soil organic C, total N, soil N:P and microbial N:P ratios were positively correlated with total PLFA concentration. While, soil C:N and microbial biomass C:N ratios were negatively correlation with total PLFA and individual microbial community structure. Our results suggested that ecoenzymatic stoichiometry and microbial community structure are very sensitive to combined long-term organic and inorganic fertilization that can affect the nutrient acquisition and cycling in agroecosystem. • Long-term combined manure and inorganic fertilization increased PLFA, compared with inorganic fertilization. • Soil C:N ratio showed positive relationship with microbial biomass C:N ratio. • Soil C:P ratio showed negative relationship with microbial biomass C:P ratio. Carbapenems are traditionally recognized to be the last resort drugs to treat infections due to MDR organisms such as E. coli. As such, the emergence of New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase-producing E. coli strains have become a challenging threat to the public health. In this regard, we examined the molecular characteristics of carbapenem-resistant E. coli (CRE) isolated from waterfowls in China's tropical island, Hainan. A total of 311 single E. coli strains were obtained from 20 various farms of healthy ducks and geese in 2 districts of Hainan island. The CRE strains were initially identified via phenotypic resistance and modified Hodge test. PCR assay and subsequent nucleotide sequencing were used to detect different types of carbapenemase encoding genes (bla NDM , bla VIM , bla IMP , bla OXA and bla KPC). In addition, MLST and PFGE analyses were also performed. Among the 311 E. coli strains, 8 strains were detected to produce a single type of carbapenemase i.e. NDM-1 (2.6%). A total of 5 sequence types (STs) were observed, of which ST10 was the most prevalent accounting for 37.5% (3/8). Moreover, these 8 isolates yielded 6 different PFGE clusters but showed approximately related PFGE types, suggesting the propagation of similar clone between the farms. This is the first report on the identification of NDM-1-producing E. coli from waterfowls in Hainan island, China. In the past few decades, contamination of urban children's parks (UCPs) with potentially toxic elements (PTEs) has been attracting more and more interest; however, assessment of eco-environmental and child exposure risks particularly in developing countries remains limited. The current study investigated PTE (Cr, Ni, Zn, As, Cd, and Pb) concentrations, potential sources, and their health risk assessment in UCP soils of 12 major cities in Pakistan. The results showed that the mean concentration of Ni exceeded the SEPA-permissible limit in all UCP sites, while other PTEs were found to be within acceptable limits. The soil properties such as pH, electrical conductivity, organic matter, and soil particles size were determined in UCPs soils. The contamination factor and pollution load index results indicated low to moderate pollution levels (CF < 3) and (PLI<1) for all PTEs except Ni in some of the selected cities. Quantile-quantile (Q-Q) plotting determined the normal distribution line for all PTEs in the UCPs. Principal component analysis showed the mixed sources of contamination from industrial emissions, fossil fuel combustion, vehicular emissions, wastewater irrigation, as well as solid waste disposal and natural sources of soil parent materials in all park sites. ANOVA results showed that all the PTEs except Cd had moderate to higher contamination values than the reference site. The risk assessment study revealed that children had high exposure to the selected PTEs via all exposure pathways. The hazard index (HI) mean value (1.82E+00) of Ni for all exposure pathways was greater than 1, while total risk value of Cr (1.00E-03) had exceeded USEPA limit, indicating cancer risk. Consequently, the study of UCPs soils revealed PTEs contamination that could pose a potential health risk to the local population in the studied UCPs regions of Pakistan. The main stem node number (MSN) is a trait related to geographic adaptation, plant architecture and yield potential of soybean. The QTL-allele constitution of the Chinese Cultivated Soybean Population (CCSP) was identified using the RTM-GWAS (restricted two-stage multi-locus genome-wide association study) procedure, from which a QTL-allele matrix was established and then separated into submatrices to explore the genetic structure, evolutionary differentiation, breeding potential and candidate genes of MSN in CCSP. The MSN of 821 accessions varied from 8.8 to 31.1, with an average of 16.3 in Nanjing, China (32.07° N, 118.62° E), where the MSNs of all the materials could be evaluated in a standardized manner. Among the six geo-seasonal subpopulations, the MSN varied from 21.7 in a southern summer-autumn-sowing subpopulation (SA-IV) down to 13.5 in a northeastern spring-sowing subpopulation (SP-I). The materials were genotyped with restriction site-associated DNA-sequencing. Totally 142 main-effect QTLs (73.24% new) with 560 alleles contributing 72.98% to the phenotypic variance were identified. The evolutionary QTL-allele changes in MSN from SA-IV through SP-I showed that inheritance (78.93% of alleles) was the primary factor influencing the evolution of this trait, followed by allele emergence (19.64% alleles), allele exclusion (1.43% alleles), and recombination among retained alleles. In the evolutionary changes, 70 QTLs, including 12 newly emerged QTLs, with 118 alleles were involved. An increase potential of 2-8 nodes was predicted and 112 candidate genes were annotated and preliminarily verified with χ 2 -tests in the CCSP. The RTM-GWAS showed powerful in detecting QTL-allele system, assessing evolution factors, predicting optimal crosses and identifying candidate genes in a germplasm population.

Aims of the Study: Blood coagulation parameters are colossally important for clinical evaluation of palliative chemotherapy; however, this niche was not explored earlier for advanced-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Study focuses to explore the clinical relevancy of Coagulation parameters; prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT), fibrinogen (FIB), D-dimer and international normalised ratio (INR) and their response to palliative chemotherapy in advanced-stage NSCLC., Methods: A retrospective study was conducted between 2013 and 2019 in Jiangsu Cancer hospital, Nanjing, PR. China. Medical records of 5445 patients were succinctly reviewed and classified accordingly to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of 216 advanced NSCLC patients who used a first-line chemotherapy and antiangiogenic therapy regimen were enrolled in this study under ethical approval (JSCH-2020C-009). Blood samples were collected from these patients to measure the response levels of these coagulation parameters at time of admission to hospital and at the beginning of 4 cycles of Palliative therapy. We find the clinical value of all these coagulation parameters by using SPSS 24. Univariate Cox regression and Multivariate Cox regression models were used to identify the factors that were associated with progression-free survival (PFS) and the response to palliative chemotherapy., Results: In the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis for overall median (95% CI) survival of high pre-treatment coagulation parameters showed shorter PFS compared with normal pre-treatment except TT and their overall median (95% CI) follow-up was 3.3 (3.12-3.47). Coagulation parameters have showed clinical relevance as a potential independent prognostic factor of PFS in the Univariate Cox regression. In multivariable model, Age (≥60 years vs < 60 years), cancer differentiation (Unknown vs Poor), PT (High vs Normal) range, FIB (High vs Normal) range and D-dimer (High vs Normal) range, (P = .025, P = .045, P = .029, P = .049 and P = .011, respectively) were associated as a prognostic factor of PFS in NSCLC. Patients on 3-drugs regimen found to have better PFS compared with the ones taking the 2-drugs treatment regimen (P = .043)., Conclusion: The high range of PT, FIB and D-dimers was associated with poor prognosis of advanced-stage NSCLC. Poor survival among colorectal cancer (CRC) patients has been widely associated with clinico-epidemiological features and treatment regimen. In Jiangsu (China), however, it is not known which one of the prognostic factors explains the survival disparities among patients with CRC. This prospective study using 1078 patients (stages I-IV) that underwent surgery at Jiangsu Hospital, explored the relevant factors affecting the prognoses of right-side colon cancer (RCC), left-side colon cancer (LCC) and rectal cancer (ReC) patients. Of these cases, 234 (21.7%), 241 (22.4%) and 603 (55.9%) were found to have RCC, LCC and ReC respectively. Compared to LCC, RCC exhibited a greater proportion of older patients, poorly differentiated carcinomas, higher T-stage and higher TNM-stage. The overall survival (OS) for RCC was 60 vs.78 or 77 months for LCC or ReC respectively (P = 0.030). There were no significant differences in OS between LCC and ReC across the subgroups (P = 0.633). In multivariate analysis, RCC patients had age (>60 vs. ≤60 years, HR = 1.529, P = 0.019), N-stage (N1 vs. N0, HR = 4.056, P = 0.012) and M-stage (M1 vs. M0, HR = 3.442, P < 0.0001) as independent prognostic factors, whereas smoking status was found to be a predictor of mortality (smoker vs. nonsmoker, HR = 2.343, P = 0.017) for LCC. In addition, age (>60 vs. ≤60 years, HR = 2.199, P < 0.0001), alcohol consumption (drinker vs. nondrinker, HR = 0.510, P = 0.034), tumor grade (Poor vs. well/moderate, HR = 2.759, P = 0.031) and T-stage (T3-4 vs. T1-2, HR = 1.742, P < 0.0001) were found to be predictors of mortality for ReC. There were significant pairwise interactions across subgroups. Furthermore, significant differences were observed for LCC vs. RCC (OS, HR = 0.783, P = 0.039), but no statistically significant differences for ReC vs. RCC (P = 0.149) and LCC vs. ReC (P = 0.355). Nevertheless, significant differences remained between ReC vs. RCC for male (HR = 0.591, P = 0.009), drinker (HR = 0.396, P = 0.005), rural resident (HR = 0.437,P = 0.022), tumor grade (well/moderate, HR = 0.475, P = 0.022), T-stage (T1-2, HR = 0.362, P = 0.001), N-stage (N0, HR = 0.604, P = 0.011), M-stage(M0, HR = 0.401, P = 0.006) and TNM-stage (I-II, HR = 0.567, P = 0.005). Statistically significant differences were observed for LCC vs. RCC for gender (female, HR = 0.495, P = 0.003) and T-stage (T1-2, HR = 0.417, P = 0.010) as well as for LCC vs. ReC in patients with smoking habits (HR = 1.951, P = 0.002) and M-stage (M0, HR = 2.291, P = 0.003). These findings suggest that the variations in CRC post-surgical survival in China may be primarily explained with the clinicopathologic features and epidemiological characteristic of the patients.
