Microeukaryotes play crucial roles in the microbial loop of freshwater ecosystems, functioning both as primary producers and bacterivorous consumers. However, understanding the assembly of microeukaryotic communities and their functional composition in freshwater lake ecosystems across diverse environmental gradients remains limited. Here, we utilized amplicon sequencing of 18S rRNA gene and multivariate statistical analyses to examine the spatiotemporal and biogeographical patterns of microeukaryotes in water columns (at depths of 0.5, 5, and 10 m) within a subtropical lake in eastern China, covering a 40 km distance during spring and autumn of 2022. Our results revealed that complex and diverse microeukaryotic communities were dominated by Chlorophyta (mainly Chlorophyceae), Fungi, Alveolata, Stramenopiles, and Cryptophyta lineages. Species richness was higher in autumn than in spring, forming significant hump-shaped relationships with chlorophyll a concentration (Chl-a, an indicator of phytoplankton biomass). Microeukaryotic communities exhibited significant seasonality and distance-decay patterns. By contrast, the effect of vertical depth was negligible. Stochastic processes mainly influenced the assembly of microeukaryotic communities, explaining 63, 67, and 55% of community variation for spring, autumn, and both seasons combined, respectively. Trait-based functional analysis revealed the prevalence of heterotrophic and phototrophic microeukaryotic plankton with a tradeoff along N:P ratio, Chl-a, and dissolved oxygen (DO) gradients. Similarly, the mixotrophic proportions were significantly and positively correlated with Chl-a and DO concentrations. Aim: The aim of this study was to modify and test the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the stressor scale for emergency nurses. Design: The methodological design was carried out in two phases: (a) form the Chinese version by Delphi method and (b) test the psychometric properties by cross‐sectional survey. Methods: The translated scale was administered to 420 nurses in Qingdao. Validity was assessed in terms of content validity, calibration correlation validity and construct validity using exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Internal consistency was estimated using Cronbach α coefficients. Results: The Chinese version of the SSEN retains 27 items, four common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, and the factor cumulative variance contribution rate was 78.463%. The fitting indexes of the four‐factor model of CFA were all in the acceptable range[χ2 = 711.30, df = 312, p < 0.001, χ2/df = 2.280, CFI = 0.933, TLI = 0.924, IFI = 0.933, RMSEA = 0.079 (90% confidence interval = 0.071–0.086)].The item‐level content validity index of the Chinese SSEN is 0.89 ~ 1.00; the scale‐level content validity index is 0.98; the Cronbach α coefficient of the total table is 0.971 and the split‐half reliability is 0.877. Background: Research is increasingly identifying an overlap between psychosis and immunological dysregulation. Certain autoantibodies are being identified in a small but probably relevant subgroup of patients with psychosis. The term "autoimmune psychosis" (AIP) and its corresponding red-flag signs present the opportunity for a new field in psychiatry to promote diagnostic workup and immunomodulating therapy in individual cases. Objectives: The present protocol aims to determine the seroprevalence of autoantibodies in first-episode psychosis (FEPs) using AIP red flag signs, and to explore the frequency of autoantibody subtypes and potential mediating confounders. Methods/design: This is a hospital-based case-control study. All participants will be consecutively selected from the main tertiary psychiatric hospital in Shenzhen City, China. Individuals admitted to the psychiatric ward and diagnosed with FEPs will be enrolled. Based on recent consensus, participants with red flags of AIPs will be defined as cases, while the remainder will be matched as controls. Seropositive antibodies will be detected and verified in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples based on the fixed cell-based assay (CBA) method. The propensity score-adjusted odds ratios will be determined to investigate the key mediating confounders regarding autoantibody subtypes and red flag subsets. Discussion: The results of this study will facilitate the early identification of AIPs in FEP patients using the red flag sign and help identify key mediators that improve the accuracy of diagnostic algorithms. With the rapid development of globalization, the advanced oral Chinese curriculum becomes more and more important in international education for the foreign students of the senior class in China. Aiming to address the problems in the teaching of oral Chinese curriculum, this paper uses the literature method, comparative analysis method, and survey method to study the advanced oral Chinese teaching mode under the constructivism theory. With the guidance of constructivism theory, this paper concludes and provides three teaching modes including scaffolding mode, interactive mode, and task-based mode by analyzing oral Chinese teaching cases. Although the digital content industry (DCI) has been booming in recent years, there is no generally accepted definition of the industry. On the basis of reviewing prior studies on the subject, this paper traces the origin of the concept, explains the meaning of the industry, summarizes why some commonly-seen definitions were concluded, looks at their similarities and differences, and defines the relationship between DCI with other similar concepts like content industry, creative industry, copyright industry, information industry and information service industry. Background: As multisection spiral computed tomography (MSCT) have been extensively used, it is important to consider the amounts of doses the patients are exposed during a computed tomography (CT) examination. The aim of the current study was to summarize MSCT doses in Chinese patients to establish the diagnostic reference levels (DRLs). Methods: Radiation dose metrics were retrospectively collected from 164,073 CT examinations via the Radimetrics Enterprise Platform. Radiation dose metrics (volume CT dose index [CTDIvol], dose-length product [DLP], effective dose [ED], and organ dose) and size-specific dose estimate (SSDE) were calculated for adults and children based on anatomic area and scanner type. Results: The median CTDIvol and DLP values were highest in the head at 51.7 mGy (interquartile range [IQR], 33.2-51.7 mGy) and 906.5 mGy·cm (IQR, 582.4--1068.2 mGy·cm) and lowest in the chest at 7.9 mGy (IQR, 7.9-10.3 mGy) and 284.8 mGy·cm (IQR, 249.0-412.6 mGy·cm), respectively. The median SSDE values of chest and pelvis were 12.1 mGy (IQR, 10.8-14.1 mGy) and 36.3 mGy (IQR, 34.0-38.9 mGy), respectively. EDs for children were similar to adults except for an increased 1.5-, 0.77-, and 1.7-fold in the chest, neck, and pelvis, respectively (p < 0.001). Furthermore, radiation doses tended to increase with increasing slice number and decrease when exposure reduction techniques were used. Pyrethroid insecticides have been extensively used in China and worldwide for public health pest control. Accurate resistance monitoring is essential to guide the rational use of insecticides and resistance management. Here we examined the nucleotide diversity of the para-sodium channel gene, which confers knockdown resistance (kdr) in Culex pipiens pallens mosquitoes in China. The sequence analysis of the para-sodium channel gene identified L1014F and L1014S mutations. We developed and validated allele-specific PCR and the real-time TaqMan methods for resistance diagnosis. The real-time TaqMan method is more superior to the allele-specific PCR method as evidenced by higher amplification rate and better sensitivity and specificity. Significant positive correlation between kdr allele frequency and bioassay-based resistance phenotype demonstrates that the frequency of L1014F and L1014S mutations in the kdr gene can be used as a molecular marker for deltamethrin resistance monitoring in natural Cx. pipiens pallens populations in the East China region. The laboratory selection experiment found that L1014F mutation frequency, but not L1014S mutation, responded to deltamethrin selection, suggesting that the L1014F mutation is the key mutation conferring resistance to deltamethrin. High L1014F mutation frequency detected in six populations of Cx. pipens pallens suggests high prevalence of pyrethroid resistance in Eastern China, calling for further surveys to map the resistance in China and for investigating alternative mosquito control strategies. AbstractAim:To establish a population pharmacokinetic (PPK) model of digoxin in older Chinese patients to provide a reference for individual medication in clinical practice.Methods:Serum concentrations of digoxin and clinically related data including gender, age, weight (WT), serum creatinine (Cr), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), albumin (ALB), and co-administration were retrospectively collected from 119 older patients taking digoxin orally for more than 7 d. NONMEM software was used to get PPK parameter values, to set up a final model, and to assess the models in clinical practice.Results:Spironolactone (SPI), WT, and Cr markedly affected the clearance rate of digoxin. The final model formula is Cl/F=5.9×[1–0.412×SPI;[times;[1–0.0101×(WT–62.9);[times;[1–0.0012×(Cr–126.8)] (L/h); Ka=1.63 (h−1); Vd/F=550 (L). The population estimates for Cl/F and Vd/F were 5.9 L/h and 550 L, respectively. The interindividual variabilities (CV) were 49.0% for Cl/F and 94.3% for Vd/F. The residual variability (SD) between observed and predicted concentrations was 0.365 μg/L. The difference between the objective function value and the primitive function value was less than 3.84 (P>0.05) by intra-validation. Clinical applications indicated that the percent of difference between the predicted concentrations estimated by the PPK final model and the observed concentrations were −4.3%–+25%. Correlation analysis displayed that there was a linear correlation between observated and predicted values (y=1.35x+0.39, r=0.9639, P<0.0001).Conclusion:The PPK final model of digoxin in older Chinese patients can be established using the NONMEM software, which can be applied in clinical practice. This work introduces a grid-connected island microgrid in China, Luxi Microgrid, with a flexible system structure and a hierarchical control framework. To solve the low reliability issue of original electricity supply on island caused by insufficient generation and transmission capacity, a novel renewable energy system with battery energy storage was proposed in this paper. Dual-microgrid structure is adopted for the new island microgrid to provide flexible and reliable electricity services, based on 24 switching processes among 8 system configurations. The test results demonstrate that the proposed system provides seamless switching and uninterrupted power supply through the use of high voltage fast transfer switch and matched mode switching strategy. Moreover, hierarchical control framework is developed for the implement of flexible and reliable control concept, which consists of three layers: the monitoring and dispatch layer, the coordination control layer and the local control layer. Focuses on a meeting between the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the Shanghai Law Society, the Shanghai Institute of Legislation and Temple University, which discussed options for laws dealing with HIV and AIDS at the provincial and municipal levels in Shanghai, China. Analysis on the meeting, which identified three areas of concern regarding legal HIV/AIDS control: anxiety among legislators about low-risk exposures, the need to enhance the involvement of non-governmental organizations in HIV/AIDS prevention and care, and the importance of policy implementation.

Objective: To study the effect of liquid dressing and ostomy powder on the treatment of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD)., Methods: The authors searched PubMed, Web of Science, CNKI (China National Knowledge Internet), and Google Scholar databases for literature through July 28, 2022. After literature screening, two investigators independently extracted data from the included studies and applied the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale to assess the quality of the included studies. The χ2-based Q statistic test and the I2 statistic were used to measure the heterogeneity of the included studies. Publication bias was measured with funnel plots and the Egger test. Sensitivity analysis was conducted by eliminating each study one by one., Results: Four high-quality studies were included in the meta-analysis, involving a total of 307 participants. The meta-analysis results showed that compared with traditional care, treatment with liquid dressing and ostomy powder significantly improved the effective rate (pooled odds ratio, 21.42; 95% CI, 8.58 to 53.44), shortened the healing time (pooled mean difference, -10.73; 95% CI, -12.92 to -8.54), and reduced the recurrence rate (pooled mean difference, -2.03; 95% CI, -2.30 to -1.77) of IAD. Among the included studies, no publication bias was detected. Aims: Thyroid hormones widely affect the cardiovascular system, but the effects of mild thyroid dysfunction on the clinical prognosis of patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains unclear. Our aims were to analyze the relations between mild thyroid dysfunction at admission and clinical outcomes in Chinese patients with STEMI., Methods: A total of 1,176 STEMI patients with the available data of thyroid function and follow-up were analyzed, including 348 patients with mild thyroid dysfunction [subclinical hypothyroidism (n=81), hyperthyroidism (SHyper) (n=51), and low triiodothyronine syndrome (LT3S) (n=216)] and 828 patients with euthyroid function. During a median 4.4-year follow-up, in-hospital mortality, cardiac and all-cause mortalities were subsequently compared among the four groups., Results: Compared with the euthyroid group, STEMI patients in the SHyper and LT3S groups faced obviously increased risks of in-hospital death [odds ratio (OR): 5.007, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.246-20.124, p = 0.023 and OR: 2.491, 95% CI: 1.054-5.887, p = 0.037, respectively) even after adjustment for various confounding factors. During a median 4.4-year follow-up, STEMI patients with LT3S at baseline had higher cardiovascular mortality [hazard ratio (HR): 1.880, 95% CI: 1.178-2.998, p = 0.008] and all-cause mortality HR: 1.647, 95% CI: 1.072-2.531, p = 0.023] than those with euthyroid at baseline, whereas no significantly increased mortality was found for STEMI patients with SCH and SHyper at baseline., Conclusions: STEMI patients with SHyper at admission had increased risk of in-hospital mortality, and STEMI patients with LT3S at baseline had worse prognosis and higher incidences of in-hospital mortality and cardiovascular and all-cause deaths compared with euthyroid patients., Competing Interests: The authors declare that the research was conducted in the absence of any commercial or financial relationships that could be construed as a potential conflict of interest., (Copyright © 2022 Li, Wei, Li, Feng and Li.)

In general, intellectually gifted children perform better than non-gifted children across many domains. The present validation study investigated the speed with which intellectually gifted children process information. 184 children, ages 9 to 13 years old (91 gifted, M age = 10.9 yr., SD = 1.8; 93 non-gifted children, M age = 11.0 yr., SD = 1.7) were tested individually on three information processing tasks: an inspection time task, a choice reaction time task, an abstract matching task. Intellectually gifted children outperformed their non-gifted peers on all three tasks obtaining shorter reaction time and doing so with greater accuracy. The findings supported the validity of the information processing speed in identifying intellectually gifted children.

Total dissolved gas (TDG) supersaturation caused by dam sluicing can result in gas bubble trauma (GBT) in fish and threaten their survival. In the present study, Chinese suckers (Myxocyprinus asiaticus Bleeker) were exposed to TDG supersaturated water at levels ranging from 120% to 145% for 48 h. The median lethal concentration (LC(50)) and the median lethal time (LT(50)) were determined to evaluate acute lethal effects on Chinese suckers. The results showed that the LC(50) values of 4, 6, 8, and 10 h were 142%, 137%, 135%, and 130%, respectively. The LT(50) values were 3.2, 4.7, 7.8, 9.2, and 43.4 h, respectively, when TDG supersaturated levels were 145%, 140%, 135%, 130%, and 125%. Furthermore, the biological responses in Chinese suckers were studied by assaying the catalase (CAT) activities in gills and muscles at the supersaturation level of 140% within LT(50). The CAT activities in the gills and muscle tissues exhibited a regularity of a decrease after an increase. CAT activities in the muscles were increased significantly at 3/5LT(50) (P<0.05) and then came back to the normal level. However, there were no significant differences between the treatment group (TDG level of 140%) and the control group (TDG level of 100%) on CAT activities in the gills before 3/5LT(50) (P>0.05), but the activities were significantly lower than the normal level at 4/5LT(50) and LT(50) (P<0.05).

Background: RFCA has been established as an effective and curative therapy for severely symptomatic PVC from the outflow tract in structurally normal hearts. However, it is unknown whether PVCs originating from the left ventricular septum, are effectively eliminated by RFCA. This study aimed to investigate electrophysiologic characteristics and effects of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) for patients with symptomatic premature ventricular contraction (PVC) originating from the left ventricular septum without including fascicular PVCs., Methods: Characteristics of body surface electrocardiogram (ECG) and electrophysiologic recordings endocardiogram in a successful RFCA target were analyzed in 20 patients with symptomatic PVCs originating from the left ventricular septum. RFCA was performed using pace mapping and activation mapping., Results: The QRS morphology of PVCs originating from the left ventricular septum is similar to that seen in fascicular tachycardia. Most of the PVCs originated from the left septum appears in the form of ventricular parasystole. The incidence of ventricular parasystole was 70%. Sustained ventricular tachycardia was not inducible by electrical stimulation and isoproterenol infusion in all 20 patients, ablation at the site recording the earliest Purkinje potential was not effective in all 20 patients, and Purkinje potentials were not identified at successful sites during point mapping. Sixteen patients were successful with RFCA using pace mapping and activation mapping, 3 failed, and 1 recurrent., Conclusion: Although the ECG characteristics of the PVCs arising from the left ventricular septum are similar to that seen in fascicular tachycardia, the electrophysiologic characteristics are different between the two types of PVCs. The distinguishing characteristic of the PVCs is that Purkinje potentials were not present at the site of successful ablation, suggesting a myocardial as opposed to fascicular substrate. RFCA is an effective curative therapy for symptomatic PVCs originating from the left ventricular septum (not from the left anterior and posterior fascicle).
