The article reports that researchers in China have unveiled a nanorobot, which they claim confirms the country's leadership in the nanosector. The team at the Shenyang Automation Research Institute in Northeast China can operate a robot hand many million times smaller than a pinhead. The hand can move atoms as if playing chess and can write on an area one-twentieth the width of a hair. The team says that this provides a foundation for the development of robots that could enter the human body to manipulate cells.
