Abstract

The article focuses on study according to which alcohol-containing mouth rinses (ACM) which may have adverse effects including symptoms of xerostomia and mentions study conducted clinical trial to determine the extent to which the short-term use of ACM affected xerostomia. Topics discussed include statistical differences in xerostomia between participants who used ACM, outcomes such as oral medication use, alcohol consumption and withdrawal owing to adverse effects of the mouth rinses.
