Allelopathy Journal is the official publication of 'Allelopathy Books' that promotes allelopathy research and publish researches related to plant sciences and health sciences. This study aimed to present an insight about the researches published in this journal, to help the Authors, Readers and Editorial team to understand the journal in depth. We analyzed the scholarly publications published in the Allelopathy Journal, their Citations, focussing on other aspects such as Publication output, Citation analysis, Co-authorship patterns, Collaboration networks, Research productivity, Research topics and International collaboration. This study is useful to identify emerging trends and evaluate research impact. The data for the study was extracted from the Scopus Database for the period from 1996 to 2022. The results showed that the journal has published 1209 papers during this period, which received 9826 citations with an average of 8.13 citations per paper. F.Z. Wu was the most prolific author with 22 papers receiving 127 citations and Prof. S.S. Narwal, with second highest papers in the journal, received the highest number of citations (242). China was the most productive country with 425 papers in the journal, followed by India (243 papers). The Chinese Academy of Sciences was the most productive institute in the journal and published 67 papers with 678 citations. A total of 4870 authors have appeared in 1209 papers with 0.91 degree of collaboration and a collaboration index of 4.03. Thematic maps indicated that the topics represented by keywords such as "Distribution", "Habitat", "Essential Oil", "Lettuce", "Morphology," have potential importance for future research. SARS-CoV-2 initiated as an outbreak from Wuhan in China in December 2019, and spreads globally. SARS-CoV-2 is a positively stranded RNA virus which belongs to the category of beta coronavirus of the family Coronaviridae. This novel Corona virus structurally resembles with the previous SARS-CoV which spread in 2002. Many treatment strategies can be effective against this novel corona virus. This novel corona virus SARS-CoV-2 resembles in features with another virus, SARS-CoV, which spread in 2002. Taking this in account the therapeutic agents which was used for the prevention of SARS-CoV can be used as potential agent for prevention of this novel corona virus. The main focus of the present study was to review the application of various chemotherapeutic agents, anti-viral or non-anti-viral agents for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2. The study also covers potential immunotherapy strategies, vaccine development, herbal formulations and nutrient combination as immunity boosters to combat with this pandemic disease. Climate change and human migration are the key focus of scientific attention in developing countries to achieve sustainable development. Exploring the interaction between the two is informative about understanding the law of human migration, and grasping the trend of climate change, to achieve environmentally sustainable development. In recent years, a large number of studies and discussions about "climate migration", and "environmental refugees" were launched. However, most researchers focus on the relationship between climate change and human migration, and few researchers have noticed and discussed the impact of human migration on climate change. There is still a lack of interpretation of the relationship between the two. In order to make up for the shortcomings of existing studies, this paper takes Ningxia immigrants of China as an example, uses PEST model analysis, considers the four dimensions of Political, Economic, Social, and Technological as judgment criteria, and explains the impact of the bidirectional force between climate change and human migration on the external environment. Further explore how climate change impacts human migration through spatial analysis, and mapping using ENVI and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tool. The findings of this are; (i) climate change and human migration interact with each other but do not have a direct effect, and the external environment is an important intermediate factor, (ii) climate change does not directly affect human migration, but forms a push for it through its impact on the external environment of the origin place, and at the same time, combined with the pull effect of the place of destination, and helps in smoothing this process, (iii) human migration does not directly affect climate change, but only creates operational space for capital and technology investment, and (iv) climate change and human migration interact through intermediate factors in the external environment, hence the need to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation in different regions is of prime concern to promote environmentally sustainable social development. • Climate change and human migration become the key focus of scientific attention. • The concept of 'migration as adaptation' needs revisiting. • PEST model used to explain the impact of bidirectional force on external environment. • Migration, Climate change, and urban landscape are interrelated. The availability of electron acceptors (EAs) in peatlands determines the potential of methane (CH4) formation under waterlogged conditions. Previous studies suggested that EAs can suppress CH4 production based on Gibbs free energy under the Redox Ladder Theory. However, growing evidence challenges this theory, raising the question of how the coupling of soil substrates with EAs influences CH4 emissions. To answer this key question, peat soils were collected across different climatic zones with different degrees of soil degradation. Anoxic incubation experiments were set up, and continuous addition of SO42−, Fe3+ and humic acid (HA) at different concentrations was followed by characterization of dissolved organic matter using fluorescence spectroscopy. Results suggest that low concentrations of SO42− (1000 μmol L−1), Fe3+ (100 μmol L−1) and HA (30 mgC L−1) promoted CH4 production in most of the peat soils. With the addition of SO42− and HA, increased CH4 emissions were attributed to the facilitation of dissolved organic carbon and increased quinone‐like component C1, which increased the substrate availability for methanogenesis. Furthermore, strengthened microbial activity as indicated by fluorescence component C2 led to higher CH4 production under Fe3+ treatments. On the other hand, at high concentrations of SO42− (5000 μmol L−1), Fe3+ (500 μmol L−1) and HA (50 mgC L−1), CH4 emissions rapidly decreased by 70.65 ± 1.57% to 96.25 ± 0.45% compared to control group without EAs addition, accompanied by increased δ13C‐CH4 signatures indicating the outweighed CH4 production under anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM) when coupling with reduced EAs. The effect of EAs on CH4 emissions in peat soils could also be related to lability and characteristics of natural organic matter. Our results suggest that the CH4 production in waterlogged peatlands could be facilitated by regulating organic substrates at low EAs concentrations, but excessive EAs will reduce net CH4 emissions through AOM. China relies heavily on coal for power generation, and the demand for coal in a country of this size makes China the world's largest carbon dioxide emitter; hence China is pursuing greener pathways for power generation. Importing shale gas in the form of LNG from Canada is one such pathway. It starts with the recovery of shale gas in Canada and its export to China. This paper quantifies well-to-wire (WTW) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per kilowatt hour (kWh) of Canadian shale gas-fuelled electricity in China through models. WTW emissions include emissions from recovery, processing, transmission, liquefaction, marine shipping, re-gasification, power plant operations, and electricity transmission and distribution. Four Canadian shale gas reserves – Montney, Horn River, Liard, and Cordova – are considered. The results show that the WTW GHG emissions of Canadian shale gas-fired combined cycle technology range from 567 to 610 gCO 2 /kWh (57–62% of the GHG emissions from China's present coal-fired electricity), and total well-to-port (WTP) GHG emissions (emissions from recovery, processing, and transmission to a liquefaction facility) range from 7.68 to 13.4 gCO 2e /MJ. Sensitivity analysis results show that venting emissions during raw gas processing, flaring rates during well completion, and lifetime productivity of the gas significantly influence WTP emissions. The ocean is the ultimate sink for all pollutants, rivers are important channels for land-based pollutants to enter the oceans. Riverine transport of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) to coastal seas in China poses environmental threats. This study examined the spatial and temporal distribution of PAHs in coastal rivers in Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province of China, with the aim of identifying their likely sources, concentrations, and influencing factors. Surface sediments were taken from the Xinyanggang River (XYR) and the Sheyang River (SYR). The concentrations of Ʃ 16 PAHs in river sediments were measured on average 477.05 ng/g dry weight (dw), with values varying from 2.18 to 6351.42 ng/g, indicating a moderate pollution level, with a dominance of high molecular weight (HMW) PAHs. The XYR exhibited significantly higher PAHs concentrations compared to the SYR. The key sources of PAHs were vehicle emissions (47.87%), coal and natural gas combustion (35.07%). Geographically weighted regression and redundancy analysis linked PAHs pollution to distinct land use patterns and socioeconomic indicators, highlighting urban land as the major contributor, driven by high urbanization and industrialization (70.91%). In XYR, industrial activities and transport emissions were major contributors, while in SYR, agricultural activities predominantly influenced PAHs pollution. Urgent mitigation strategies are needed to reduce PAHs pollution in river sediments, mitigating ecological and human risks associated with these contaminants. The targets of limiting global warming levels below 2°C or even 1.5°C set by Paris Agreement heavily rely on bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), which can remove carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emission. Biomass and coal co‐firing with CCS is one of BECCS technologies, as well as a pathway to achieve low carbon transformation and upgrading through retrofitting coal power plants. However, few studies have considered co‐firing ratio of biomass to coal based on each specific coal power plant's characteristic information such as location, installed capacity, resources allocation, and logistic transportation. Therefore, there is a need to understand whether it is worth retrofitting any individual coal power plant for the benefit of GHG emission reduction. It is also important to understand which power plant is suitable for retrofit and the associated co‐firing ratio. In order to fulfill this gap, this paper develops a framework to solve these questions, which mainly include three steps. First, biomass resources are assessed at 1 km spatial resolution with the help of the Geography Information Science method. Second, by setting biomass collection points and linear program model, resource allocation and supply chain for each power plants are complete. Third, is by assessing the life‐cycle emission for each power plant. In this study, Hubei Province in China is taken as the research area and study case. The main conclusions are as follows: (a) biomass co‐firing ratio for each CCS coal power plant to achieve carbon neutral is between 40% and 50%; (b) lower co‐firing ratio sometimes may obtain better carbon emission reduction benefits; (c) even the same installed capacity power plants should consider differentiated retrofit strategy according to their own characteristic. Bioenergy will play an intimate and critical role in energy supply and carbon mitigation in the future. In recent years, "customizing the development of bioenergy to local conditions" and "prioritizing distributed utilization" have been the two key principles that have been released by the Chinese government to promote the national‐ and provincial‐level development of bioenergy. While many recognize the importance of bioenergy in achieving low‐carbon transition, little is known about the high‐resolution distribution of usable biomass feedstock and technical bioenergy potential in China, which brings about uncertainties and additional challenges for creating localized utilization plans. We propose a new assessment framework that integrates crop growth models, a land suitability assessment, and the geographic information systems to address these knowledge gaps. Distributions of 11 types of usable biomass feedstock and three kinds of technical bioenergy potential are mapped out through specific transformation technologies at 1 km resolution. At the national level, the final technical biogas potential is 1.91 EJ. The technical bioethanol potential (0.04–0.96 EJ) from the energy crop can supply 0.13–3.12 times the bioethanol demand for the consumption of E10 gasoline in 2015. The technical heat potential (1.06 EJ) can meet 20% of the demand for heating in all provinces (5.38 EJ). Most of the 2020 bioenergy goals can be achieved, excluding that for bioethanol, which will need to require more cellulosic ethanol from residues. At the provincial level, Henan and Inner Mongolia have the potential to develop clean heating alternatives via the substitution of agroforestry residues for coal. The results can provide a systematic analysis of the distribution of biomass feedstocks and technical bioenergy potential in China. With economic factors taken into consideration in further research, it can also support national and provincial governments in making bioenergy development plans in an effective and timely manner. The main purpose of this study is to develop a bottom-up life cycle assessment model to evaluate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the Canadian oil sands supply to China. Two pathways were considered. In pathway I, extracted bitumen is sent to Edmonton for upgrading and pipelined to the Westridge terminal near Vancouver, then shipped to a port in China. In pathway II, extracted bitumen is mixed with diluent, directly pipelined to the Westridge terminal, and shipped to China. The results from both the pipeline and the shipping models suggest that pathway I has better GHG emissions than pathway II on a per-barrel basis. GHG emissions are 2.4–3.5 times lower in pipelining synthetic crude oil (SCO) to Westridge than in pipelining dilbit, without and with a diluent return. The emissions range from 826 − 401 + 701 g CO 2 eq/bbl for SCO, 1819 − 719 + 1172 for dilbit without diluent return, and 2684 − 1065 + 1374 g CO 2 eq/bbl for dilbit with a diluent return. Shipping SCO has 15% fewer emissions than shipping dilbit. The shipping emissions are due to fuel use in the main engine. The emissions for shipping are 5536 − 914 + 966 g CO 2 /bbl for dilbit and 4034 − 822 + 899 g CO 2 /bbl for SCO. • GHG emission performances of Canadian oil sands supply to China were identified. • Pipeline GHG emissions range from 826 − 401 + 701 to 1819 − 719 + 1172 g CO 2 eq/bbl. • Shipping synthetic crude oil has 15% fewer GHG emissions than shipping dilbit. • Shipping GHG emissions ranges from 4034 − 822 + 899 to 5536 − 914 + 966 g CO 2 /bbl. • The synthetic crude oil supply pathway has a higher GHG performance than the dilbit. • DIC and δ13C DIC showed strong spatiotemporal heterogeneities in karst river-reservoir system. • After damming, water chemical characteristics varied markedly in reservoir profiles. • The reservoir effect index (R i) can be used to reveal relevant biogeochemical processes. • Reservoir regulation can be optimized to reduce the damming effect based on R i. Cascade damming has seriously affected the hydrologic regimes and solutes transport of the river systems. However, the effect of damming on carbon cycle and the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. In this study, to reveal the effects of damming on riverine dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) transport, the water chemistry and stable isotopic signature of dissolved inorganic carbon (δ13C DIC) were analyzed in the tributaries and four subtropical karst reservoirs on the Pearl River in southern China. From reservoir epilimnion to hypolimnion, DIC concentrations increased from 183.2 to 229.4 mg L−1, 167.6 to 192.0 mg L−1, 179.1 to 181.5 mg L−1, and 182.4 to 183.8 mg L−1 while δ13C DIC decreased from −6.6‰ to −9.7‰, −7.8‰ to −10.4‰, −9.7‰ to −10.0‰ and −9.9‰ to −10.0‰ in the Chaishitan (CST), Longtan (LT), Yantan (YT), and Dahua (DH) reservoirs, respectively. Our analyses suggest that primary production and organic matter degradation were two dominant processes in carbon evolution in the epilimnion and hypolimnion, respectively. However, there was no obvious spatial heterogeneity of solutes' concentration in the DH reservoir. Our results also suggested that cascade reservoirs had a regional damming effect and could be significantly weakened without damming or in daily regulated reservoirs. Furthermore, δ13C DIC had a significant positive relationship with the reservoir effect index (R i), which was affected by hydraulic retention time and water temperature in the water column of reservoirs and is useful to evaluate the thermal stratification strength. This study highlights that dam constructions affected carbon transport and transformation significantly, and the degree of the damming effect on the carbon cycle can be expressed by R i.
