As the ownership of vehicles and frequency of utilization increase, vehicle emissions have become an important source of air pollution in Chinese cities. An accurate emission inventory for on-road vehicles is necessary for numerical air quality simulation and the assessment of implementation strategies. This paper presents a bottom-up methodology based on the local emission factors, complemented with the widely used emission factors of Computer Programme to Calculate Emissions from Road Transport (COPERT) model and near real time (NRT) traffic data on road segments to develop a high temporal-spatial resolution vehicle emission inventory (HTSVE) for the urban Beijing area. To simulate real-world vehicle emissions accurately, the road has been divided into segments according to the driving cycle (traffic speed) on this road segment. The results show that the vehicle emissions of NOx, CO, HC and PM were 10.54×104, 42.51×104 and 2.13×104 and 0.41×104 Mg, respectively. The vehicle emissions and fuel consumption estimated by the model were compared with the China Vehicle Emission Control Annual Report and fuel sales thereafter. The grid-based emissions were also compared with the vehicular emission inventory developed by the macro-scale approach. This method indicates that the bottom-up approach better estimates the levels and spatial distribution of vehicle emissions than the macro-scale method, which relies on more information. Additionally, the on-road vehicle emission inventory model and control effect assessment system in Beijing, a vehicle emission inventory model, was established based on this study in a companion paper (He et al., 2015). Aim: To investigate the role of ADIPOQ gene in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)., Methods: We genotyped single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs266729 and rs1501299 within the ADIPOQ gene in a cohort of 1157 pregnant women of north Chinese Han ethnicity. This cohort comprised 560 pregnant women diagnosed with GDM and 597 pregnant women who exhibited normal oral glucose tolerance test at 24-28 weeks' gestation. All participants were recruited from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University. Additionally, we used conventional bioinformatics analysis methods to conduct multi-omics analysis (transcriptome, epigenome, and single-cell level) of ADIPOQ-regulated GDM., Results: The systolic blood flow velocity/diastolic blood flow velocity (S/D) ratio of the umbilical artery in GDM patients with CC genotype of rs266729 and GG genotype of rs1501299 was higher than control. Single-cell analysis suggested that ADIPOQ was expressed in extravillous trophoblast (EVT), T cell, monocytes, myelocyte, NK cell and syncytiotrophoblast (SCT). Purpose: Suicide and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) are preventable concerns in young people. Suicidal ideation (SI), suicidal plans (SP) and suicidal attempt (SA) are closely related to death. Sleep problems are known risk factors for suicide and NSSI. This study aimed to explore the relationship between sleep, suicidality and NSSI., Methods: Participants were 3,828 middle school and college students aged 11-23 years from urban and rural areas of Henan Province. Sleep, suicidal phenomena and NSSI were assessed by applying self-reported questionnaires. Chi-squared tests were utilized to demonstrate the demographic data and sleep variables. The correlation between sleep, suicidality and NSSI were explored by using binary logistic regression, while adjusting socio-demographic characteristics with multivariate models., Results: Sleep variables except mid-sleep time were related to suicidal phenomena (P < 0.05). Greater social jet lag (SJL) [≥ 2 h (h)] was associated with increased risk of SI [Odds ratios (OR) = 1.72, 95% confidence intervals (CI):1.40-2.11], SP (OR = 2.10, 95%CI:1.59-2.79) and SA (OR = 1.50, 95%CI:1.00-2.26). Non-only child participants with SJL (≥ 2 h) had significantly increased odds of SI (OR = 1.75, 95%CI: 1.41-2.18) and SP (OR = 2.25, 95%CI: 1.66-3.05). Eveningness chronotype had the strongest correlation with SI (OR = 3.87, 95%CI:2.78-5.38), SP (OR = 4.72, 95%CI:2.97-7.50), SA (OR = 6.69, 95%CI:3.08-14.52) and NSSI (OR = 1.39, 95%CI:1.02-1.90)., Conclusion: Overlong or short sleep duration, SJL, eveningness chronotype and other sleep abnormalities (e.g., daytime dysfunction, low sleep efficiency) were associated with a higher prevalence of SI, SP and SA. Additionally, eveningness was significantly correlated with NSSI among young people. Background: Urinary incontinence (UI) is commonly linked to pregnancy and obstetric factors, but the association between fetal birthweight and maternal UI remains contentious. This study investigates the association between fetal birthweight and maternal UI and its subtypes in Chinese primiparas., Methods: Cross-sectional data from 54,346 women aged 20 years and above were obtained from the 2019-2021 National Urinary Incontinence Survey. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) regression analysis and threshold effect analysis were used to explore the association between fetal birthweight and urinary incontinence and its subtypes., Results: Among 19,365 primiparas, the prevalence of UI was 14.5%. Adjusted analyses revealed that each 1.0 kg increase in birthweight correlated with a 32% (95% CI: 1.21-1.44) increased risk of UI. Categorical analysis indicated that women in the highest birthweight tertile (3.4-6.0 kg) faced a higher risk of UI compared to those in the lowest tertile (0.5-3.0 kg) (adjusted OR, 1.42; 95% CI: 1.28-1.57). RCS regression highlighted non-linear associations between birthweight and the risk of any type of UI, urgency UI (UUI), and mixed UI (MUI), with a significant turning point at 3.9 kg for overall UI risk. Subgroup analyses revealed interactions between birthweight tertiles and modifiable risk factors like physical activity, as well as clinical risk factors like hypertension., Conclusions: These findings underscore the independent association between fetal birthweight and UI in Chinese primiparas, emphasizing the importance of considering various factors when assessing this relationship. A non-linear association exists between birthweight and any type of UI, UUI, and MUI, respectively. Objective: To clarify the screening behavior and influencing factors of females with breast cancer and cervical cancer in suburban areas and to provide a scientific basis for the subsequent implementation of targeted health education, intervention measures and the formulation of relevant policies., Methods: This study used a multi-stage stratified random sampling method to select 4, 000 women in urban and rural areas of Beijing to analyze their behavior, basic situation, and influencing factors regarding cervical and breast cancer screening., Results: The sample size of the final included valid analysis was 3861 people, and the screening rate was 27.25% for cervical cancer, 20.64% for breast cancer, 30.46% for at least one screening and 17.43% for both cervical cancer and breast cancer screening. The rate of four screening conditions was greater in urban areas (PCervical cancer screening = 31.1%, PBreast cancer screening = 22.0%, PAt least one = 33.9%, PBoth cancers were screened = 19.1%) than in rural areas (PCervical cancer screening = 22.6%, PBreast cancer screening = 19.0%, PAt least one = 26.2%, PBoth cancers were screened = 15.4%) and was greater with medical insurance (PCervical cancer screening = 28.7%, PBreast cancer screening = 21.7%, PAt least one = 32.0%, PBoth cancers were screened = 18.5%) than without medical insurance (PCervical cancer screening = 12.8%, PBreast cancer screening = 10.3%, PAt least one = 15.6%, PBoth cancers were screened = 7.5%). The highest percentage of the four screening conditions was found in the 45-59-year-old group (PCervical cancer screening = 36.0%, PBreast cancer screening = 29.8%, PAt least one = 39.5%, PBoth cancers were screened = 26.4%). The rate of cervical cancer screening behavior increased with increasing education level and family per capita monthly income, and the highest percentage of respondents had a college education or above (PCervical cancer screening = 35.2%, PBreast cancer screening = 23.6%, PAt least one = 38.2%, PBoth cancers were screened = 20.6%), as did the percentage of families whose per capita monthly income was above 15, 000 yuan (PCervical cancer screening = 34.7%, PBreast cancer screening = 27.3%, PAt least one = 38.3%, PBoth cancers were screened = 23.6%). In Southeast Guizhou, a region of China rich in ethnic diversity, the cultural landscapes of ethnic villages are increasingly vulnerable under the pressures of urbanization and tourism development. This study assesses the vulnerability of 43 ethnic villages in Leishan County using the Vulnerability Scoring Diagram (VSD) model, which evaluates exposure, sensitivity, and coping ability. Analyses using spatial autocorrelation and geographic weighted regression reveal distinct spatial patterns of vulnerability, with the northern region exhibiting higher vulnerability indices than the southern region. The study identifies tourism development, protection policies, and financial investments as primary influencing factors of vulnerability, with varying degrees of impact across different geographical areas. The findings provide a robust framework for assessing and visualizing the vulnerability of cultural landscapes in ethnic villages, guiding the development of tailored protection strategies to mitigate risks and preserve cultural heritage., Competing Interests: Declarations. Aim: Comparing the anxiety and depression severity and their impact on subsequent birth outcomes in pregnant women before and during Omicron wave in Shanghai in 2022., Methods: The depression-anxiety symptoms networks were compared between the pregnant women during the outbreak period (outbreak group; n  = 783) and a matched control group of pregnant women before the outbreak (pre-outbreak group; n  = 783). The impact of baseline mental state on follow-up pregnancy and neonatal outcomes was also explored by logistic regression., Findings: Levels of depression and anxiety between the two groups were not significant different. Network analysis showed that central symptom "trouble relaxing" and bridge symptom "depressed mood" shared by both groups. Different symptom associations in different periods of the pandemic. Total scores and sub-symptom scores of prenatal depressive and anxious severities increased the odds ratios of maternal and neonatal syndromes. The influence of mental state on gestational and neonatal outcomes differed across different pandemic periods., Conclusion: The Omicron wave did not have a significant negative impact on the depressive and anxious mood in pregnant women. Targeting central and bridge symptoms intervention may be effective in reducing their adverse effects on co-occurring of anxious and depressive mood and birth outcomes.

Previous research has demonstrated the influence of environmental factor on the occurrence of infectious diseases. However, there is insufficient and conflicting evidence regarding the association between Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) and environmental variables, particularly the interaction of environmental variables. This study aims to investigate the individual and interactive effects of particulate matter (PM) and meteorological factors on HFMD incidence in Fuyang. The generalized additive models were combined with distributed lag non-linear models to assess the individual effects between PM and meteorological factor on HFMD incidence in Fuyang. Subsequently, a product term was incorporated into the model to investigate the interaction between PM and meteorological factors. Temperature and PM 2.5 were identified as the two primary risk factors for HFMD, with relative risks (RR) of 1.586(1.493,1.685) and 1.349(1.325,1.373), respectively. Furthermore, PM exhibited a synergistic effect with meteorological factors. For instance, the RR values for PM 2.5 in relation to HFMD were 1.029 (95% CI: 1.024-1.035) and 1 0.117 (95% CI: 1 0.108 - 11 0.127) under different temperature group categories. Notably, HFMD predominantly affects children under the age of five years old and infants aged between zero to one year old demonstrate heightened susceptibility to environmental variables. The results showed that both PM and meteorological factors were risk factors for HFMD, with evidence of an interaction between these variables. Background: Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a highly prevalent and contagious disease, particularly in children under five years old. Its transmission route resembles that of COVID-19. During the COVID-19 pandemic, non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) were implemented to curb viral spread, which may have concurrently reduced HFMD incidence., Methods: Utilizing HFMD surveillance data from the Anhui Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention (2015-2020) and varying levels of COVID-19 emergency measures, a Bayesian structural time series model predicted the counterfactual HFMD incidence and quantified the causal relationships with NPIs., Results: During the implementation of NPIs, the 915 cases observed between weeks 4 and 20 of 2020 reflected a 94.9% reduction from the expected cases number (915 vs. 17,790), avoiding approximately 16,875 cases. The relative reduction of male cases (95.2%) was similar to that of female cases (94.3%). Different age groups the number of cases decline roughly similar were 93.1%, 95.3%, 97.8%, 94.9%., Conclusion: During the COVID-19 pandemic, NPIs implemented in response to COVID-19 effectively reduced HFMD incidence. The rhizosphere bacterial community of plants has a crucial effect on healthy plant growth, and each rhizosphere has a specific microbial community. Camellia sinensis cv. Shifocui (C. sinensis cv. Shifocui) is a tea plant distributed in the Dabie Mountains of Anhui Province. It has the characteristics of high yield, good quality, strong cold resistance, and a high amino acid content. This study was the first to use 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing technology and bioinformatics methods to explore the characteristics and functions of the rhizosphere bacterial community of the cold-tolerant tea tree C. sinensis cv. Shifocui, providing an important basis for the development and utilization of rhizosphere microbial resources. The dominant phylum in the rhizosphere microbes of the C. sinensis cv. Shifocui rhizosphere microorganisms were Proteobacteria, Chloroflexi, Acidobacteriota, and Actinobacteria. Network analysis showed significant positive and negative correlations among the rhizosphere bacterial groups of C. sinensis cv. Shifocui, among which Candidatus &#95; Xiphinematobacter, Acidobacteriale, Bradyrhizobium, Subgroup &#95; 2, Candidatus&#95;Udaeobacter, Gemmataceae, and Gaiellales were notable nodes in the interaction networks. Functional prediction of FAPROTAX indicated that C. sinensis cv. Shifocui was rich in chemoheterotrophic, cellulose hydrolysis, and oxidative heterotrophic conditions, indicating that the dominant bacterial flora was enriched in its rhizosphere microbes and played an important role in plant growth and development. These results lay a foundation for exploring the mechanism of interaction between C. sinensis cv. Kindergarten activity rooms benefit children's growth and development under good natural indoor lighting conditions. Therefore, it is of great significance to conduct research on the indoor daylighting effects of kindergarten activity rooms under different orientations. However, most of the existing studies are based on the analysis and simulation of fixed orientations and single elements, and lack of comprehensive evaluation and analysis. Based on the above problems, this study utilizes China's light climate data and daylighting standards for kindergartens, and selects Linzhi, Kunming, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou, and Guiyang as the research locations, and comprehensively evaluates the indoor daylighting effects. The results of the study show that: (1) The daylighting effect of kindergarten activity rooms in China's different light climate zones varies greatly, mainly affected by the daylighting orientation, and the high-quality daylighting orientations of the five cities mainly focuses on the range of 210°-255°; (2) The value of sDA of the five cities is basically more than 75%, the uniformity of daylighting effects has all achieved good or higher standards; (3) Guiyang is the least affected by glare, with the smallest impact time range, while the other four cities are more serious. This study explores the impact of sDA, illuminance, and DGP in kindergarten activity rooms on children. Ecosystem services (ESs) are essential for human well-being and are relevant to the region's sustainable development. Most studies have emphasized the importance of high ecosystem services areas for entire regions. However, some locations with particular contributions to a region's ecosystem services are still overlooked. Using the InVEST model, this study analyzed three ESs: annual water yield (WY), carbon storage (CS), and soil conservation (SC) in the farmland of the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain of China (HHHP) from 2005 to 2019. Combining climate regulation (NDVI) and food production (FP), this research calculated the city level of the diversity of ecosystem services supply (alpha-multifunctionality) and the unique contribution to the region in each city (beta-multifunctionality) from 2005 to 2019. The alpha-multifunctionality combines the number of ecosystem services and their supplies of ecosystem services. At the same time, the beta-multifunctionality assesses the average dissimilarity between the city and all other cities within that region. Furthermore, this study used Spearman correlation and self-organizing map (SOM) to analyze the relationships between these five ecosystem services and identify ecosystem service bundles. Finally, this study used random forests to analyze drivers of ecosystem service multifunctionality. Our results showed that food production in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain increased significantly by 37.20% over time, annual water yield decreased significantly by 29.59%, and climate regulation decreased significantly by 6.09%. This may be because the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain mainly shifted from monoculture to crop rotation, and the increase in crops required more irrigation, which led to a significant decline in water yield. Furthermore, the area of grain crops in the HHHP was reduced in 2019 compared to 2005, which explains the significant decline in climate regulation. SOM found that cities with a higher beta-multifunctionality were mainly concentrated in the northern and southwest parts of HHHP. Bundles with a high alpha-multifunctionality were mainly in the southern and southeast parts of the HHHP. In addition, this research showed that farmers' per capita disposable income was the most important driver of ecosystem service multifunctionality, followed by annual average precipitation and temperature. In conclusion, this study suggests that policymakers should strengthen the protection of some high ecological value but low economic value farmlands, which are crucial for regional ecological security. Background: Morality is a point of great concern to us in our social interactions. We also assess people's morality based on a variety of external factors. Research has found that the beauty of faces can influence people's moral assessments, and that moral assessments can in turn influence our judgments about the beauty of faces. In real life, the voice is a very important communication mediu. People can gain knowledge of individuals through their voices. However, the relationship between voice beauty and moral goodness has never been investigated., Objectives: So, the present study investigated the two-way relationship between voice beauty and moral goodness traits during impression formation., Method: We collected empirical data from 32 college students in China followed the impression formation paradigm in Experiment 1 and collected empirical data from 32 college students in China followed moral priming paradigm., Results: The results of Experiment 1 showed that high attractive voices were more likely to be judged to have higher moral goodness levels. Conversely, the results of Experiment 2 showed that the moral priming condition revealed a higher score for the voice than the immoral condition. Urinary incontinence (UI) is a disease that quietly yet seriously impacts women's health and represents a global health burden that is often neglected. This study aims to systematically assess the prevalence and dynamics of female UI in China, and can inform further policies and have international implications. This study used three nationwide investigations: A national cross-sectional survey in 2021; another nationwide cross-sectional survey in 2006; and data regarding the institutions and physicians providing pelvic floor rehabilitation services from 2005 to 2019. The weighted prevalence of female UI and its subtypes, including stress UI (SUI), urgency UI (UUI), and mixed UI (MUI), were estimated as primary outcomes. Knowledge, attitude and care-seeking behaviors of UI were evaluated. It was found that the weighted prevalence of female UI was 16.0 % (95% CI, 13.3 %-19.1%) with SUI remaining the predominant subtype (7.0%) in 2021, followed by MUI (6.5%) and UUI (1.9%). The estimated absolute number of Chinese adult women with UI was 85.8 million in 2021. 52.7% (95% CI, 45.9%-59.4 %) of women were aware that UI was a medical condition, and only 10.1% of women with UI sought health care. After 15 years of development, there were 8400 pelvic floor rehabilitation institutions and nearly 10,000 relevant physicians in China-they were found to be associated with UI prevalence. The UI prevalence in China was significantly lower in 2021 compared to that in 2006. Despite the achievement, UI remains a public health problem, especially given China's fast aging and three-child policy. BACKGROUND Penetrating keratoplasty (PK) remains the most common corneal transplant method in China. In this paper we aim to analyze the outcomes and the potential factors associated with graft failures of PKs in one of the largest keratoplasty centers in Eastern China during the past 4 years. MATERIAL AND METHODS A retrospective review was performed on 502 eyes from 481 recipients undergoing PKs from January 2018 to December 2021 at the Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University. Graft failures presenting between the first postoperative day and 8 weeks were defined as early graft failure and failures presenting between 8 weeks and the end of the 1-year follow-up as late failure. Cox proportional hazards regression models and logistic regression models were used to assess the association between factors and failures. RESULTS Of the 93 failed cases, 36 were classified as early failure and 57 as late failure. Risk factors, expressed as hazard ratio (HR) and confidence interval (CI), for the failures include the following: burns (HR: 12.56, 95% CI [2.4, 65.71]), nonsuppurative inflammation (HR: 11.06, 95% CI [2.49, 49.03]), suppurative inflammation (HR: 12.49, 95% CI [2.76, 56.37]), immune disease (HR: 1.70, 95% CI [0.64, 4.48]), low donor endothelial cell density (ECD) (HR: 0.92/100 cells, 95% CI [0.87, 0.98]), and surgical complications (HR: 1.83, 95% CI [1.06, 3.17]). Two social factors were strongly negatively associated with late failures: completion of compulsory education (HR: 0.45, 95% CI [0.21-0.94]) and marriage (HR: 0.27, 95% CI [0.09-0.81]). CONCLUSIONS Indications, surgical complications, immune disease of the recipient, and lower donor ECD were risk factors for failure. Social factors also affect the ocular health after PK in the long term.

Nonpoint source (NPS) pollution has emerged as the predominant water environment issue confronting plateau lakes in central Yunnan. Quantitative analysis of the impact of NPS pollution on water quality constitutes the key to preventing and controlling water pollution. However, currently, there is a dearth of research on identifying NPS pollution risks and exploring their relationship with water quality based on the Minimum Cumulative Resistance (MCR) model in the plateau lake basins of central Yunnan. Particularly, studies on the spatial heterogeneity of the impact of NPS pollution on water quality from a multi-scale perspective are scarce. Therefore, this study focuses on three typical lake basins in the Central Yunnan Plateau-Fuxian Lake, Xingyun Lake, and Qilu Lake (the Three Lakes). Utilizing the MCR model to identify NPS pollution risks, the study analyzes seven different scales, including sub-basins, riparian buffer zones (100 m, 300 m, 500 m, 700 m, and 1,000 m) and lakeshore zones, to reveal the multi-scale effects of NPS pollution on water quality through correlation analysis. The results indicate that: (1) Over 60% of the areas in the Three Lakes Basin are at high or extremely high risk, mainly concentrated in flat terrain and around inflow rivers; (2) The area of NPS pollution from paddy field source landscape (PFSL) is greater than that from construction land source landscape (CLSL), and the high-risk areas of NPS pollution are also larger for PFSL compared to CLSL; (3) The mean resistance values of PFSL and CLSL show a significant negative correlation with monthly mean values of water quality indexes (NH 3 -N, TP, COD Cr ), with the 1,000 m riparian buffer zone scale showing the greatest correlation with most water quality indexes, especially NH 3 -N; (4) The correlation between the mean resistance value of CLSL and the monthly mean values of water quality indexes is significantly higher than that of PFSL, indicating a greater impact of CLSL on water quality compared to PFSL. In summary, PFSL and CLSL are the primary sources of NPS pollution in the Three Lakes Basins. The 1,000 m riparian buffer zone scale is the most sensitive to the impact of NPS pollution on water quality. Despite a rapid expansion of Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) sublineage 8.7 over recent years, very little is known about the patterns of virus evolution, dispersal, and the factors influencing this dispersal. Relying on a national PRRSV surveillance project established over 20 years ago, we expand the available genomic data of sublineage 8.7 from China. We perform independent interlineage and intralineage recombination analyses for the entire study period, which showed a heterogeneous recombination pattern. A series of Bayesian phylogeographic analyses uncover the role of Guangdong as an important infection hub within Asia. The spatial spread of PRRSV is highly linked with a composite of human activities and the heterogeneous provincial distribution of the swine industry, largely propelled by the smaller-scale Chinese rural farming systems in the past years. We sequence all four available modified live vaccines (MLVs) and perform genomic analyses with publicly available data, of which our results suggest a key "leaky" period spanning 2011-2017 with two concurrent amino acid mutations in ORF1a 957 and ORF2 250. Overall, our study provides an in-depth overview of the evolution, transmission dynamics, and potential leaky status of HP-PRRS MLVs, providing critical insights into new MLV development., (© 2024. Background: This study aims to develop an artificial neural network (ANN) prediction model incorporating random forest (RF) screening ability for predicting the risk of depression in adolescents and identifies key risk factors to provide a new approach for primary care screening of depression among adolescents., Methods: The data were from a large cross-sectional study conducted in China from July to September 2021, enrolling 8635 adolescents aged 10-17 with their parents. We used the Patient health questionnaire (PHQ-9) to rate adolescent depression symptoms, using scales and single-item questions to collect demographic information and other variables. Initial model variables screening used the RF importance assessment, followed by building prediction model using the screened variables through the ANN., Results: The rate of depression symptoms in adolescents was 24.6%, and the depression risk prediction model was built based on 70% of the training set and 30% of the test set. Ten variables were included in the final prediction model with a model accuracy of 85.03%, AUC of 0.892, specificity of 89.79%, and sensitivity of 70.81%. The top 10 significant factors of depression risk were adolescent rumination, adolescent self-esteem, adolescent mobile phone addiction, peer victimization, care in parenting styles, overprotection in parenting styles, academic pressure, conflict in parent-child relationship, parental rumination, and relationship between parents., Conclusions: The ANN model based on the RF effectively identifies depression risk in adolescents and provides a methodological reference for large-scale primary screening. Swine influenza viruses (SIVs), including H1N1, H1N2, and H3N2, have spread throughout the global pig population. Potential pandemics are a concern with the recent sporadic cross-species transmission of SIVs to humans. We collected 1421 samples from Guangdong, Fujian, Henan, Yunnan and Jiangxi provinces during 2017-2018 and isolated 29 viruses. These included 21H1N1, 5H1N2, and 3H3N2 strains. Genome analysis showed that the domestic epidemic genotypes of H1N1 were mainly G4 and G5 reassortant EA swine H1N1. These genotypes have a clear epidemic advantage. Two strains were Clade 6B.1 pdm/09H1N1, suggesting a possible pig-to-human transmission route. Notably, three new H1N2 genotypes were identified using the genomic backbones of G4 or G5 viruses for recombination. Background: Cell and gene therapy products (CGTPs) often receive accelerated approvals, lacking comprehensive long-term safety and efficacy data, which can raise significant safety concerns. This research aims to study the post-marketing surveillance (PMS) of CGTPs in the European Union (EU), the United States (US), Japan, South Korea, and China, to offer insights for the development of a secure and standardized post-marketing regulatory framework for CGTPs., Methods: Related regulations and the implementation effect of PMS for approved CGTPs were studied searching PubMed, CNKI, and the official websites of the European Medicines Agency, the US Food and Drug Administration, Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device Agency, South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the National Medical Products Administration of China., Results: Compared to those in China, the guidelines of PMS for CGTPs in the EU, the US, Japan, and South Korea was more comprehensive. Notably, the EU had dedicated regulations and supporting guidelines of PMS. Of the 26 CGTPs approved in the EU, 88% were under additional monitoring, 38% received conditional marketing authorization, and 12% were authorized under exceptional circumstances, with 77% designated as orphan drugs. The US had released 34 guidelines specifically for CGTPs which, forming the foundation of post-marketing risk management. Among the 27 CGTPs approved in the US, 22% were required to perform risk evaluation and mitigation strategies, 37% added black box warnings in the package inserts, 63% mandated to post-marketing requirements, and 15% subject to post-marketing commitments. In Japan, stringent supervision measures encompassing all-case surveillance (79%) and re-examination (53%) were applied to the 19 approved CGTPs, with 21% approved through conditional and time-limited approval. The PMS for CGTPs in South Korea, mainly included PSUR, re-examination, and re-evaluation. China had introduced several relevant regulations, which consisted of general statements and lacked detailed guidance., Conclusions: This study demonstrates that the regulatory policies of PMS for CGTPs in the EU, the US, Japan, and South Korea were comprehensive. Osteoporosis (OP) is a common metabolic bone disease characterized by low bone mass and microstructural deterioration of bone. Changes in the composition and structure of gut microbiota (GM) are related to changes of bone mass and bone microstructure. However, the relationship between GM and bone mineral density (BMD) is complex, and data are especially scarce for Chinese Han youth. Therefore, 62 Chinese Han youth participants were recruited. Furthermore, according to the T-score evaluation criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO), we divided the BMD levels of participants into three groups: osteoporosis\BDL, osteopenia\BDM, normal bone density\BDH, and the associations between GM community and BMD groups were conducted. According to alpha and beta diversity analysis, significant differences were found in the microbial richness and composition between groups. The dominant phyla of GM in a cohort of Chinese Han youth were Bacteroidota (50.6%) and Firmicutes (41.6%). Anaerobic microorganisms, such as g&#95;Faecalibacterium and g&#95;Megamonas, account for the largest proportion in the gut, which were mainly Firmicutes phylum. The dominant genera and species in the three BMD groups were g&#95;Prevotella, g&#95;Bacteroides, g&#95;Faecalibacterium, g&#95;Megamonas, s&#95;Prevotella copri, s&#95;unclassified&#95;g&#95;Faecalibacterium, s&#95;unclassified&#95;g&#95;Prevotella, s&#95;unclassified&#95;g&#95;Bacteroides and s&#95;Bacteroides plebeius. g&#95;Faecalibacterium, g&#95;Bacteroides and g&#95;Ruminococcus differed between the BDH and BDL groups as well as between the BDH and BDM groups. LEfSe showed three genus communities and eight species communities were enriched in the three BMD groups, respectively. The associations between microbial relative abundance and T-score was not statistically significant by Spearman and regression analysis. Objective: To analyze the spatial autocorrelation and spatiotemporal clustering characteristics of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome(SFTS) in Anhui Province from 2011 to 2023., Methods: Data of SFTS in Anhui Province from 2011 to 2023 were collected. Spatial autocorrelation analysis was conducted using GeoDa software, while spatiotemporal scanning was performed using SaTScan 10.0.1 software to identify significant spatiotemporal clusters of SFTS., Results: From 2011 to 2023, 5720 SFTS cases were reported in Anhui Province, with an average annual incidence rate of 0.7131/100,000. The incidence of SFTS in Anhui Province reached its peak mainly from April to May, with a small peak in October. The spatial autocorrelation results showed that from 2011 to 2023, there was a spatial positive correlation(P < 0.05) in the incidence of SFTS in all counties and districts of Anhui Province. Local autocorrelation high-high clustering areas are mainly located in the south of the Huaihe River. The spatiotemporal scanning results show three main clusters of SFTS in recent years: the first cluster located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the eastern region of Anhui Province; the second cluster primarily focused on the region of the Dabie Mountain range, while the third cluster primarily focused on the region of the Huang Mountain range., Conclusions: The incidence of SFTS in Anhui Province in 2011-2023 was spatially clustered., (© 2024. This study investigated the chemical and volatile characteristics of sea buckthorn fruits from three different regions in China. The chemical composition of the volatile oil was determined by using a non-targeted gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC/MS) method and the differences in chemical composition among the three producing areas were compared by heatmap providing a visual basis for researchers. A total of 93 compounds were identified, including 52 compounds from the Northeast China, 51 from the Xinjiang region, and 37 from Inner Mongolia region. Then, the in vitro antioxidant activity of sea buckthorn fruit oil was measured using DPPH, ABTS, and SOD inhibition tests, and the results showed that sea buckthorn fruit oil in northeast China was the strongest antioxidant, followed by Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang. The results of the CCK-8 experiment indicated that within the tested concentration, there is no cell cytotoxicity of the essential oil in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) cells. Background: Phytobacter diazotrophicus (P. diazotrophicus) is an opportunistic pathogen that causes nosocomial outbreaks and sepsis. However, there are no reports of P. diazotrophicus isolated from human blood in China., Case Presentation: A 27-day-old female infant was admitted to our hospital with fever and high bilirubin levels. The clinical features included jaundice, abnormal coagulation, cholestasis, fever, convulsions, weak muscle tension, sucking weakness, ascites, abnormal tyrosine metabolism, cerebral oedema, abnormal liver function, clavicle fracture, and haemolytic anaemia. The strain isolated from the patient's blood was identified as P. diazotrophicus by whole-genome sequencing (WGS). Galactosemia type 1 (GALAC1) was diagnosed using whole-exome sequencing (WES). Based on drug sensitivity results, 10 days of anti-infective treatment with meropenem combined with lactose-free milk powder improved symptoms., Conclusion: P. diazotrophicus was successfully identified in a patient with neonatal sepsis combined with galactosemia. Background: There is no individualized prediction model for intensive care unit (ICU) admission on patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and connective tissue disease (CTD) so far. In this study, we aimed to establish a machine learning-based model for predicting the need for ICU admission among those patients., Methods: This was a retrospective study on patients admitted into a University Hospital in China between November 2008 and November 2021. Patients were included if they were diagnosed with CAP and CTD during admission and hospitalization. Data related to demographics, CTD types, comorbidities, vital signs and laboratory results during the first 24 h of hospitalization were collected. The baseline variables were screened to identify potential predictors via three methods, including univariate analysis, least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (Lasso) regression and Boruta algorithm. Nine supervised machine learning algorithms were used to build prediction models. We evaluated the performances of differentiation, calibration, and clinical utility of all models to determine the optimal model. The Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) and Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations (LIME) techniques were performed to interpret the optimal model., Results: The included patients were randomly divided into the training set (1070 patients) and the testing set (459 patients) at a ratio of 70:30. The intersection results of three feature selection approaches yielded 16 predictors. The eXtreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) model achieved the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) (0.941) and accuracy (0.913) among various models. The calibration curve and decision curve analysis (DCA) both suggested that the XGBoost model outperformed other models. The SHAP summary plots illustrated the top 6 features with the greatest importance, including higher N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and C-reactive protein (CRP), lower level of CD4 + T cell, lymphocyte and serum sodium, and positive serum (1,3)-β-D-glucan test (G test)., Conclusion: We successfully developed, evaluated and explained a machine learning-based model for predicting ICU admission in patients with CAP and CTD. The study aims to summarize the clinical characteristics of patients with ectopic gastric mucosa in the small intestine, comparing clinical presentation differences between domestic and foreign patients through literature review. The clinical characteristics of cases diagnosed with ectopic gastric mucosa in the small intestine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2000 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. By searching databanks, such as PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Wanfang, VIP, CNKI, and etc (the inclusion period was from the establishment of the database to January 1, 2024). The literature review was conducted on ectopic gastric mucosa in the small intestine. A total of 10 cases were included, all male, age [ M ( Q 1 )] was 27 (13-69) years old. Gastrointestinal bleeding was the first manifestation in most cases, with severe cases leading to hemorrhagic shock. Abdominal CT indicated local intestinal wall thickening and luminal narrowing in 3 cases. Four cases lesions were located at the beginning of the jejunum and 6 lesions were located in the end segment of ileum. All cases underwent local lesion resection, with postoperative pathology confirming ectopic gastric mucosa. Symptoms disappeared postoperatively, with a follow-up period of 0.5-3.0 years. Literature review indicates that the main clinical manifestation of gastric mucosa ectopia in the small intestine in China is gastrointestinal bleeding, while foreign patients are often complicated with intestinal duplication and intussusception, with abdominal pain and vomiting as the primary and main symptoms. The occurrence rate of intestinal obstruction in female patients, both domestically and abroad, is higher than that in male patients. The occurrence rate of ileal lesions with intestinal obstruction and small intestinal duplication is higher than that of duodenal lesions in both domestic and foreign patients. Local small intestine resection is an effective treatment method with generally good prognosis. Objective: To assess pelvic floor muscle (PFM) strength and influencing factors among healthy women at different life stages., Design: Multicentre cross-sectional study., Setting: Fourteen hospitals in China., Population: A total of 5040 healthy women allocated to the following groups (with 1680 women per group): premenopausal nulliparous, premenopausal parous and postmenopausal., Methods: The PFM strength was evaluated by vaginal manometry. Multivariate logistic regression was used to determine the influencing factors for low PFM strength., Main Outcome Measures: Maximum voluntary contraction pressure (MVCP)., Results: The median MVCP values were 36, 35 and 35 cmH 2 O in premenopausal nulliparous (aged 19-51 years), premenopausal parous (aged 22-61 years), and postmenopausal (aged 40-86 years) women, respectively. In the premenopausal nulliparous group, physical work (odds ratio, OR 2.05) was the risk factor for low PFM strength, which may be related to the chronic increased abdominal pressure caused by physical work. In the premenopausal parous group, the number of vaginal deliveries (OR 1.28) and diabetes (OR 2.70) were risk factors for low PFM strength, whereas sexual intercourse (<2 times per week vs. none, OR 0.55; ≥2 times per week vs. none, OR 0.56) and PFM exercise (OR 0.50) may have protective effects. In the postmenopausal group, the number of vaginal deliveries (OR 1.32) and family history of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) (OR 1.83) were risk factors for low PFM strength., Conclusions: Physical work, vaginal delivery, diabetes and a family history of POP are all risk factors for low PFM strength, whereas PFM exercises and sexual life can have a protective effect. Background: The Recombinant Omicron BA.4/5-Delta COVID-19 Vaccine (ZF2202-A) is primarily designed for the Delta and Omicron BA.4/5 variants. Our objective was to assess the safety and immunogenicity of ZF2202-A in Chinese adults., Methods: A total of 450 participants aged ≥ 18 years, who had completed primary or booster vaccination with a COVID-19 vaccine more than 6 months prior, were enrolled in this randomized, double-blind, active-controlled trial. Participants in the study and control groups were administered one dose of ZF2202-A and ZF2001, respectively. Immunogenicity subgroups were established in each group., Results: At 14 days after vaccination, the seroconversion rates of Omicron BA.4/5, BF.7, and XBB.1 in the ZF2022-A group were 67.7 %, 58.6 %, and 62.6 %, with geometric mean titers (GMTs) of neutralizing antibodies at 350.2, 491.8, and 49.5, respectively. However, there is currently a lack of summarized evidence regarding the rehabilitation management of stroke patients in rehabilitation wards, communities, and at home. This study aims to compile relevant evidence on the rehabilitation management of patients with motor dysfunction after stroke, providing a reference for clinical and community health professionals to carry out rehabilitation interventions., Methods: A systematic search was conducted in BMJ Best Practice, UpToDate, National Guidebook Clearinghouse, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Canadian Medical Association, National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, United States Department of Veterans Affairs/ Department of Defense, Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, JBI Evidence-Based Healthcare Center Database, The Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CINAHL, CNKI, Wanfang Database, SinoMed, and other databases for all literature on the rehabilitation management of patients with motor dysfunction after stroke. This included clinical decision-making, guidelines, expert consensuses, recommended practices, systematic reviews, and evidence summaries, with the search period spanning from the establishment of each database to October 2023. Two researchers independently evaluated the quality of the literature., Results: A total of twenty-one documents were included, consisting of 11 guidelines, 2 expert consensus, and 8 systematic reviews. Evidence was extracted and integrated from the included literature, summarizing forty-five pieces of evidence across nine areas: rehabilitation management model, rehabilitation institutions, rehabilitation teams, timing of rehabilitation interventions, rehabilitation assessment, rehabilitation programs, rehabilitation duration and frequency, rehabilitation intensity, and rehabilitation support These covered comprehensive rehabilitation management content for stroke patients in the early, subacute, and chronic phases., Conclusions: The best evidence summarized in this study for the rehabilitation management of patients with motor dysfunction after stroke is comprehensive and of high quality. It provides important guidance for clinical and community healthcare professionals in carrying out rehabilitation interventions. When applying the evidence, it is recommended to consider the current condition of the stroke patient, the extent of motor dysfunction, environmental factors, and the patient's preferences. Then, select the most appropriate rehabilitation plan, and adjust the type and intensity of training according to each patient's specific needs and preferences.

Background: Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers injection is a common procedure in patients with cosmetic needs. Concomitant pain is a major complaint among patients undergoing HA filler injections. A total of 62 semi-structured questionnaires were administered to aesthetic physicians via face-to-face interview, whereas 123 online-based questionnaires were collected from patients who have ever undergone HA treatment. The collected questionnaire information was analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis., Results: 42 (67.74%) physicians observed that over 50% of their patients were concerned about pain during injection. 101 (82.11%) of patients were concerned about impending pain ≥5 points (a total score is 10) before injection. For preferred pain relief modalities, 48 (77.42%) physicians would choose a hyaluronic acid dermal filler with lidocaine, and 82 (66.67%) patients would choose anesthetic-containing products. 59 (95.16%) physicians who injected lidocaine-containing hyaluronic acid found patients had a comfortable treatment experience., Conclusions: Pain management during hyaluronic acid dermal fillers injection is important from both perspectives of physicians and patients. This survey showed that compared with other analgesic methods, lidocaine-containing hyaluronic acid has offered a more satisfying experience. This study aimed to investigate differences in clinical characteristics and laboratory findings between children infected with Macrolide-Sensitive Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MSMP) and Macrolide-Resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MRMP). Additionally, the research sought to identify laboratory markers for rapidly distinguishing refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (RMPP) from ordinary Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (OMPP). In total, 265 Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) patients were included, with MRMP identified by specific point mutations in domain V of the 23S rRNA gene. A retrospective analysis compared the clinical courses and laboratory data, revealing that MRMP patients experienced prolonged febrile days (P = 0.004), elevated CRP levels (P < 0.001), and higher MP DNA loads than MSMP patients (P = 0.037). Based on clinical symptoms, MRMP was divided into RMPP (n = 56) and OMPP (n = 70), with RMPP demonstrating significantly increased IL-18, community-acquired respiratory distress syndrome (CARDS) toxins in nasopharyngeal aspirate, and serum CRP levels (P < 0.001; P = 0.006; P < 0.001). In conclusion, timely recognition of RMPP is crucial for enhancing prognosis. African swine fever has caused substantial economic losses to China`s pig industry in recent years. Currently, the highly pathogenic African swine fever virus strain of genotype II is predominantly circulating in China, accompanied by a series of emerging isolates displaying unique genetic variations. The pathogenicity of these emerging strains is still unclear. Recently, a novel ASFV strain with a distinguishable three-large-fragment gene deletion was obtained from the field specimens, and its in vivo pathogenicity and transmission were evaluated in this study. The animal experiment involved inoculating a high dose of YNFN202103 and comparing its effects with those of the highly pathogenic strain GZ201801&#95;2. Results showed that pigs infected by YNFN202103 exhibited significantly prolonged onset and survival time, lower viremia levels, and less severe histopathological lesions compared to GZ201801&#95;2. The water shortage in agriculture area in China requires to reduce the consumption of excessive water in flood irrigation. Therefore, the dynamics of soil water regime is needed to investigate and water-saving irrigation is necessary to alleviate water shortage. This study investigated the impact of flood irrigation on soil water movement and recharge to groundwater in the Yellow River irrigation area of Yinchuan Plain, China. Combining comprehensive field observation, stable isotopic techniques and water balance simulation, we described the soil water mechanism in vadose zone covered with bare soil in 2019 and planted with maize in 2020. The soil layers affected by precipitation infiltration and evaporation were mainly 0-50 cm, while the soil influenced by irrigation was the entire profile in the mode of piston flow. The maize root took up the soil water up to the depth of 100 cm during the tasseling period. The infiltration and capillary rise in 2020 were similar with those in 2019. However, the total deep percolation was 156.5 mm in 2020 which was about 50% of that in 2019 because of the maize root water uptake. The leakage of ditch water was the major recharge resource of groundwater for the fast water table rise. Precise irrigation is required to minimize deep percolation and leakage of ditch water and reduce excessive unproductive evapotranspiration. It is well accepted that tidal wetland vegetation performs a significant amount of water filtration for wetlands. However, there is currently little information on how various wetland plants remove nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) and how they differ in their denitrification processes. This study compared and investigated the denitrification and phosphorus removal effects of three typical wetland plants in the Yangtze River estuary wetland (Phragmites australis, Spartina alterniflora, and Scirpus mariqueter), as well as their relevant mechanisms, using an experimental laboratory-scale horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland (CW). The results showed that all treatment groups with plants significantly reduced N pollutants as compared to the control group without plants. In comparison to S. mariqueter (77.2-83.2%), S. alterniflora and P. australis had a similar total nitrogen (TN)removal effectiveness of nearly 95%. With a removal effectiveness of over 99% for ammonium nitrogen (NH 4 + -N), P. australis outperformed S. alterniflora (95.6-96.8%) and S. mariqueter (94.6-96.5%). The removal of nitrite nitrogen (NO 2 - -N)and nitrate nitrogen (NO 3 - -N)from wastewater was significantly enhanced by S. alterniflora compared to the other treatment groups. Across all treatment groups, the removal rate of PO 4 3- -P was greater than 95%. P. australis and S. alterniflora considerably enriched more 15 N than S. mariqueter, according to the results of the 15 N isotope labeling experiment. While the rhizosphere and bulk sediments of S. alterniflora were enriched with more simultaneous desulfurization-denitrification bacterial genera (such as Paracoccus, Sulfurovum, and Sulfurimonas), which have denitrification functions, the rhizosphere and bulk sediments of P. australis were enriched with more ammonia-oxidizing archaea and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria. This study explores the impact of life course socioeconomic status (SES) and childhood trauma on depressive symptoms in Chinese middle-aged and older adults, while also examining the role of chronic diseases and implications for social work practice. Using data from 9,942 participants, structural equation was established to investigate these relationships. Results reveals that low childhood SES positively affects depressive symptoms through low SES in mid-to-late life (std. β  = 0.168, p  < .001), and domestic child abuse negatively impacts depressive symptoms through low SES in mid-to-late life (std. β =-0.020, p  < .001). Additionally, experiencing peer bullying is directly associated with depressive symptoms (std. β  = 0.145, p  < .001). Exposure to domestic violence is directly related to depressive symptoms (std. β  = 0.078, p  < .001) and indirectly leads to more severe depressive symptoms through chronic disease (std. β  = 0.023, p  < .001). Social workers in healthcare settings can utilize these findings to better understand risk factors for depression and provide trauma-informed care and economic assistance across the life course. Additional training for social workers on the lasting impacts of childhood adversity is warranted. By intervening at both individual and policy levels, social work practitioners can help break cycles of poverty and poor health stemming from childhood.

The innovative teaching behaviors of college teacher are of positive significance for promoting the construction of educational informatization in China and realizing the high-quality development of higher education. Based on the theory of social cognition and theory of behavioral change, the paper explores the influential mechanism and its boundary conditions of college teachers' information literacy on their innovative teaching behaviors during the new era of educational informatization. Through the investigation of 280 college teachers, it is found that: (1) information literacy and its dimensions of information knowledge and information capability have a significant positive effect on innovative teaching behavior; (2) Creative self-efficacy plays a mediating role between information literacy (information knowledge and information capability) and innovative teaching behavior; (3) College innovation climate significantly moderates the positive relationship between information literacy (information awareness and information knowledge) and creative self-efficacy; (4) College innovation climate significantly moderates the mediating effect of creative self-efficacy between information literacy (information awareness and information knowledge) and innovative teaching behavior. Invasive Spartina alterniflora has become a global management challenge in coastal wetlands. China has decided to eradicate it completely, but the high costs and its provision of beneficial ecosystem functions (EF, in the form of blue carbon and coastal protection) have raised concerns about its removal. Here, using the Yangtze Estuary as a case study, we explore a reasonable pathway of S. alterniflora management that balanced control of invasive species and EF. We simulated the spatial patterns of two key EF - blue carbon storage and wave attenuation - and identified appropriate zones for eradicating S. alterniflora based on their trade-offs. We observed contrasting patterns along the land-sea gradient for S. alterniflora community, with a decrease in blue carbon storage and an increase in wave attenuation. Notably, pioneer S. alterniflora near the foreshore displayed a high cluster of blue carbon storage (63.61 ± 7.33 Mg C ha -1 ) and dissipated nearly 70% of wave energy by a width of 163 m. The trade-offs between the two EF indicated that the eradication project should be implemented along the seawall rather than the foreshore. Even in the scenario of prioritized shore defense with the largest eradication zone, S. alterniflora still stored 43.1% more carbon (10.67 Gg C) compared to complete eradication and dissipated over 70% of wave energy in extreme events. The high pressure in some gas wells, such as those in the Xushen gas field in Daqing, China, makes them susceptible to freezing and hydrate blockages. Downhole throttling technology is widely used to reduce costs during well construction, however, due to the limitations of temperature, pressure and depth structure, this technology is sometime applied independently in some gas wells in which freezing and blockages are a frequent problem that can seriously affect production capacity. Moreover, artificial alcohol injection of 'passive plugging' to prevent hydrate formation not only consumes significant amounts of methanol but its efficiency is also dependent on factors such as weather, personnel and equipment, so it is not a continuous solution. In order to solve the above problems, the mechanism of hydrate formation was analyzed in this study, from which a combined mechanical and chemical hydrate control process was developed. OLGA software was used to design the process parameters of the novel mechanical and chemical inhibition technology for hydrate prevention and control, and also to simulate and analyze the wellhead temperature, pressure and hydrate generation once the process was implemented. Based on the results of the parameters calculation, the downhole throttle and hydrate inhibitor automatic filling device are used to realize the functions of downhole throttle depressurization and hydrate inhibitor continuous filling, reduce the wellhead pressure and hydrate generation temperature, and ensure the continuous production of gas well. This novel combination process was subsequently tested in three wells in the Daqing gas oilfield. Measurements showed that the average daily gas increase from a single well was 0.5×104m3, methanol consumption was reduced from the original maximum daily amount of 1750 kg to just 60 kg, the manual maintenance workload was reduced by 80%, and the rate of the well openings was increased from 45% to 100%. Background: Various epidemiological studies have focused on the adverse health outcomes of meteorological factors. However, there has been little research on the impact of humidex on allergic conjunctivitis, especially in child and adolescent populations. We aimed to explore the impact of humidex, a comprehensive index of relative humidity and temperature, on child and adolescent allergic conjunctivitis admissions., Methods: Outpatient visit data for allergic conjunctivitis, meteorological factors and air pollutants in Shanghai for the 2017-2022 period were retrieved. For the purpose of analysing the nonlinear connection and lag impact between humidex and admissions for paediatric and adolescent allergic conjunctivitis, the distributed lag nonlinear model (DLNM) was fitted., Results: A total of 147 090 cases were included in our cohort. We found a significantly nonlinear effect on humidex and allergic conjunctivitis. In the single-day lag pattern, the relative risks (RR) of allergic conjunctivitis were significant at lag 0 (RR = 1.08, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.05-1.11) to lag 2 (RR = 1.01, 95% CI = 1.00-1.01), lag 5 (RR = 1.01, 95% CI = 1.00-1.01) to lag 9 (RR = 1.01, 95% CI = 1.00-1.01), and lag 14 (RR = 1.02, 95% CI: 1.01-1.03). In the cumulative-lag day pattern, the RR of allergic conjunctivitis were significant at lag 0-0 (RR = 1.08, 95% CI = 1.05-1.11) to lag 0-14 (RR = 1.21, 95% CI = 1.13-1.28). We found that boys, children aged 7-17 years, and children in the warm season were more vulnerable to humidex. In addition, the highest attributable fraction (AF) and attributable number (AN) of humidex are at lag 0-14 (AF = 0.17, AN = 25 026)., Conclusions: Humidex exposure markedly increased the risk of allergic conjunctivitis, especially in highly high humidex. Green credit policy (GCP) has dual attributes of being both an "environmental regulation" and a "financial instrument". Understanding its role in facilitating industrial green transformation is crucial. However, there is limited theoretical and empirical evidence on the impact of GCP on industrial green transformation. This research fills this gap by comprehensively investigating the impacts and mechanisms of GCP on industrial energy intensity (EI) in China, considering both incentive and constraint effects. Theoretically, the environmental and financial impacts of GCP are merged into a unified analytical framework based on a heterogeneous enterprise model. Empirically, diverse empirical methods, including difference-in-differences (DID), difference-in-differences-in-differences (DDD), and mediating effects models, are adopted to examine whether GCP can promote green innovation or accelerate financial constraints. Results show that (1) GCP significantly decreases EI, especially among high-polluting enterprises (HPEs). The impact of incentives is far greater than that of constraints. (2) Regarding the incentive effect, energy substitution and innovation offsets exert a primary influence on reducing EI. (3) The constraint effect is caused primarily by rising financing and pollution abatement costs. (4) Heterogeneity analysis shows that the inhibiting effect of GCP is more significant in non-state-owned enterprises, underdeveloped financial markets, and abundant energy endowments. Background: Coxsackievirus A10 (CA10) is one of the etiological agents associated with hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD)., Objectives: We aimed to perform a retrospective analysis of the molecular epidemiological characteristics and genetic features of HFMD associated with CA10 infections in Zhejiang Province from 2017 to 2022., Study Design: Epidemiologic features were summarized. Throat swab specimens were collected and tested. The VP1 regions were sequenced for genotyping. CA10 positive samples were isolated. Whole genomes of CA10 isolations were sequenced. Nucleotide and amino acid changes were characterized. Phylogenetic trees were constructed., Results: The number of HFMD cases fluctuated from 2017 to 2022. Children aged below 3 years accounted for the majority (66.29%) and boys were more frequently affected than girls. Cases peaked in June. The positivity rate of HEV was 62.69%. A total of 90 strains of CA10 were isolated and 53 genomes were obtained. All CA10 in this study could be assigned to two genogroups, C (C2) and F (F1 and F3)., Conclusion: The clinical manifestations of HFMD associated with HEV are complex and diverse. CA10 infection may be emerging as a new and major cause of HFMD because an upward trend was observed in the proportion of CA10 cases after the use of EV71 vaccines. Different genogroups of CA10 had different geographic distribution patterns. Background: Deoxynivalenol (DON), one of the most prevalent mycotoxins, has been found to cause fetal growth retardation in animals. However, limited evidence exists regarding its effects on pregnant women., Methods: Maternal urinary concentration of total DON (tDON) and free DON (fDON) in the second trimester was measured using liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry. Provisional daily intake (PDI) of DON was calculated based on tDON concentration. Linear and logistic regression models were used to evaluate the association between DON exposure levels and birth weight, birth length, and the risk of small for gestational age (SGA)., Results: Among 1538 subjects, the median concentrations of tDON and fDON were 12.1 ng/mL and 5.1 ng/mL, respectively. The PDI values revealed that the median DON intake was 0.7 µg/kg bw, and 35.9% of the total population exceeded the provisional maximum tolerable daily intake (PMTDI) of 1 µg/kg bw. Compared with the lowest tertile, birth weight decreased by 81.11 g (95% CI: -127.00, -35.23) for tDON (P-trend < 0.001) and 63.02 g (95% CI: -108.72, -17.32) for fDON (P-trend = 0.004) in the highest tertile. Each unit increase in Ln-tDON and Ln-fDON was also inversely associated with birth weight. Furthermore, compared to those who did not exceed PMTDI, pregnant women whose PDI exceeded PMTDI had lower birth weight (β = -79.79 g; 95% CI: -119.09, -40.49) and birth length (β = -0.21 cm; 95% CI: -0.34, -0.07), and a higher risk of SGA (OR = 1.48; 95% CI: 1.02, 2.15) in their offspring. Similar associations with birth weight, birth length, and SGA were found when comparing the highest tertile of PDI to the lowest tertile (all P-trend < 0.05)., Conclusions: Maternal DON exposure is related to decreased birth weight. Objective: To build a supervised machine learning-based classifier, which can accurately predict whether Tai Chi practitioners may experience knee pain after years of exercise., Design: A prospective approach was used. Data were collected using face-to-face through a self-designed questionnaire., Setting: Single centre in Shanghai, China., Participants: A total of 1750 Tai Chi practitioners with a course of Tai Chi exercise over 5 years were randomly selected., Measures: All participants were measured by a questionnaire survey including personal information, Tai Chi exercise pattern and Irrgang Knee Outcome Survey Activities of Daily Living Scale. The validity of the questionnaire was analysed by logical analysis and test, and the reliability of this questionnaire was mainly tested by a re-test method. Dataset 1 was established by whether the participant had knee pain, and dataset 2 by whether the participant's knee pain affected daily living function. Then both datasets were randomly assigned to a training and validating dataset and a test dataset in a ratio of 7:3. Six machine learning algorithms were selected and trained by our dataset. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was used to evaluate the performance of the trained models, which determined the best prediction model., Results: A total of 1703 practitioners completed the questionnaire and 47 were eliminated for lack of information. The total reliability of the scale is 0.94 and the KMO (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure of sampling adequacy) value of the scale validity was 0.949 (>0.7). The CatBoost algorithm-based machine-learning model achieved the best predictive performance in distinguishing practitioners with different degrees of knee pain after Tai Chi practice. 'Having knee pain before Tai Chi practice', 'knee joint warm-up' and 'duration of each exercise' are the top three factors associated with pain after Tai Chi exercise in the model. 'Having knee pain before Tai Chi practice', 'Having Instructor' and 'Duration of each exercise' were most relevant to whether pain interfered with daily life in the model., Conclusion: CatBoost-based machine learning classifier accurately predicts knee pain symptoms after practicing Tai Chi. Objective To identify the possibility of IgG Fc binding protein (FCGBP) acting as a prognostic marker of low-grade glioma (LGG) and its correlation with immune infiltration. Methods The expression of FCGBP was analyzed in pan-cancer using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Genotypic tissue expression (GTEX), and China Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA) database. Then, GSE15824 and GSE68848 datasets were selected for further verification. And gene expression Profile Interaction analysis (GEPIA) database and R language were used to analyze the relationship between FCGBP and survival prognosis. Metascape and GSEA were used for functional annotation and enrichment analysis. Finally, the expression of FCGBP gene in LGG immune microenvironment and its correlation with immune cells were analyzed by TIMER database. Results FCGBP was highly expressed in LGG tissues, indicating poor prognosis of LGG patients. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis and COX analysis showed that FCGBP was an independent risk factor for the prognosis of LGG. Moreover, Gene Ontology (GO) demonstrated that FCGBP was involved in cell metabolism, localization, positive, and negative regulation of biological processes, as well as biological adhesion, response to viral and microbial stimulation, and inflammation. GSEA pathway enrichment analysis showed that FCGBP was significantly correlated with Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) pathway, Toll-like receptor (TLR) pathway, chemokine pathway, and P53 pathway. In addition, FCGBP expression was positively correlated with the expression of most immune cells in the immune microenvironment of LGG. Conclusion The high expression of FCGBP in LGG is a risk factor for survival and prognosis, and it is positively correlated with the expression of immune cells.

Background: Unhealthy lifestyles are risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and tend to be clustered, with a trajectory that extends from adolescence to adulthood. This study investigated the association of diets, tobacco, alcohol, physical activity (PA), screen time (ST) and sleep duration (SD) in a total of six lifestyles, separately and as cumulative lifestyle scores, with sociodemographic characteristics among school-aged adolescents in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou., Methods: In the aggregate, 3,637 adolescents aged 11-23 years were included in the study. The questionnaire collected data on socio-demographic characteristics and lifestyles. Healthy and unhealthy lifestyles were identified and scored, depending on the individual score (0 and 1 for healthy and unhealthy lifestyles respectively), with a total score between 0 and 6. Based on the sum of the dichotomous scores, the number of unhealthy lifestyles was calculated and divided into three clusters (0-1, 2-3, 4-6). Chi-square test was used to analyze the group difference of lifestyles and demographic characteristics, and multivariate logistic regression was used to explore the associations between demographic characteristics and the clustering status of unhealthy lifestyles., Results: Among all participants, the prevalence of unhealthy lifestyles was: 86.4% for diet, 14.5% for alcohol, 6.0% for tobacco, 72.2% for PA, 42.3% for ST and 63.9% for SD. Students who were in university, female, lived in country (OR = 1.725, 95% CI: 1.241-2.398), had low number of close friends (1-2: OR = 2.110, 95% CI: 1.428-3.117; 3-5: OR = 1.601, 95% CI: 1.168-2.195), and had moderate family income (OR = 1.771, 95% CI: 1.208-2.596) were more likely to develop unhealthy lifestyles. In total, unhealthy lifestyles remain highly prevalent among Chinese adolescents., Conclusion: In the future, the establishment of an effective public health policy may improve the lifestyle profile of adolescents. Based on the lifestyle characteristics of different populations reported in our findings, lifestyle optimization can be more efficiently integrated into the daily lives of adolescents. Background: Accurate and timely access to large-scale crop damage information provides an essential reference for responding to agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation needs and ensuring food production security. The present study aimed to reveal the new characteristics of low-temperature cold damage to maize in the context of climate warming. Heilongjiang, one of the provinces with the highest latitude, the most significant climate change and the largest maize production in China, was taken as the study area. We combined meteorological stations and MODIS remote sensing data to spatially identify the occurrence and intensity of cold damage to maize based on the growing season temperature distance level index, as well as to assess the extent of cold damage., Results: The main findings are: (i) The frequency and intensity range of cold damage in the growing season (May to September) in Heilongjiang Province from 1991 to 2020 against climate warming showed a decreasing trend. The average temperature from 1991 to 2000 was 17.777 °C, with seven occurrences of maize cold damage years, of which 5 years comprised widespread cold damage and 2 years comprised regional cold damage. The average temperature from 2000 to 2010 was 18.137 °C, with cold damage three times, of which 2 years comprised regional cold damage and 1 year comprised widespread cold damage. The average temperature from 2010 to 2020 was 18.130 °C, with one maize cold damage year occurring, which comprised regional cold damage. The frequency of maize chilling injury decreased significantly from 1991 to 2020, from 0.23 in 1991-2000 to 0.1 in 2000-2010 and, finally, to 0.03 in 2010-2020. (ii) The good consistency between MODIS&#95;LST data and temperature data from meteorological stations suggests that MODIS&#95;LST data can be used to build a temperature remote sensing estimation model for spatially extensive cold damage monitoring and intensity discrimination. (iii) Taking 2009 as an example of a large-scale cold damage year, the spatial discrimination of maize cold damage intensity shows that the spatial distribution of chilling injury intensity has no obvious geographical features. The intensity of cold damage was mainly mild cold damage. According to administrative regions, the scope of chilling injury was the largest in Mudanjiang City, Heihe City, and Jixi City, accounting for 91.56%, 86.25%, and 84.91%, respectively. The areas with the most extensive range of severe chilling injuries were the Great Khingan Mountains region, Heihe City, Mudanjiang City, Yichun City, and Jixi City., Conclusion: In the context of climate warming, the frequency and intensity range of maize cold damage showed a decreasing trend from 1991 to 2020 in Heilongjiang Province. The results of cold damage identification based on MODIS&#95;LST data are accurate and can improve the spatial accuracy. Three Orientia tsutsugamushi genotypic groups belonging to two prototypes (Gilliam and Karp) were identified in scrub typhus patients from Guangxi, Southwest China. Fever, headache, pneumonia, fatigue, chill, and anorexia were the most common clinical signs. Frequent recombination was observed for their 47-kDa gene compared to 56-kDa and 16S genes. Furthermore, patients infected with the Gilliam prototype represent a much higher proportion of pneumonia (6/6, 100%) than those infected with the Karp prototype (4/8, 50%) (p-value = 0.040). Extracellular enzymes play central roles in the biogeochemical cycles in wetland ecosystems. Their activities are strongly impacted by hydrothermal conditions. Under the ongoing global change, many studies reported the individual effects of flooding and warming on extracellular enzyme activities, however, few researches investigated their interactive effects. Therefore, the current study aims to determine the responses of extracellular enzyme activities to warming in wetland soils under divergent flooding regimes. We investigated the temperature sensitivity of seven extracellular enzymes related to carbon (α-glucosidase, AG; β-glucosidase, BG; cellobiohydrolase, CBH; β-xylosidase, XYL), nitrogen (β-N-acetyl -glucosaminidase, NAG; leucine aminopeptidase, LAP), and phosphorus (Phosphatase, PHOS) cycling along the flooding duration gradient in a lakeshore wetland of Poyang Lake, China. The Q 10 value, calculated using a temperature gradient (10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 °C), was adopted to represent the temperature sensitivity. The average Q 10 values of AG, BG, CBH, XYL, NAG, LAP, and PHOS in the lakeshore wetland were 2.75 ± 0.76, 2.91 ± 0.69, 3.34 ± 0.75, 3.01 ± 0.69, 3.02 ± 1.11, 2.21 ± 0.39, and 3.33 ± 0.72, respectively. The Q 10 values of all the seven soil extracellular enzymes significantly and positively correlated with flooding duration. The Q 10 values of NAG, AG and BG were more sensitive to the changes in flooding duration than other enzymes. The Q 10 values of the carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus-related enzymes were mainly determined by flooding duration, pH, clay, and substrate quality. Flooding duration was the most dominant driver for the Q 10 of BG, XYL, NAG, LAP, and PHOS. In contrast, the Q 10 values of AG and CBH were primarily affected by pH and clay content, respectively. Objectives: As global efforts continue toward the target of eliminating viral hepatitis by 2030, the emergence of acute hepatitis of unspecified aetiology (HUA) remains a concern. This study assesses the overall trends and changes in spatiotemporal patterns in HUA in China from 2004 to 2021., Methods: We extracted the incidence and mortality rates of HUA from the Public Health Data Center, the official website of the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, and the National Notifiable Infectious Disease Surveillance System from 2004 to 2021. We used R software, ArcGIS, Moran's statistical analysis, and joinpoint regression to examine the spatiotemporal patterns and annual percentage change in incidence and mortality of the HUA across China., Results: From 2004 to 2021, a total of 707,559 cases of HUA have been diagnosed, including 636 deaths. The proportion of HUA in viral hepatitis gradually decreased from 7.55% in 2004 to 0.72% in 2021. The annual incidence of HUA decreased sharply from 6.6957 per 100,000 population in 2004 to 0.6302 per 100,000 population in 2021, with an average annual percentage change (APC) reduction of -13.1% ( p  < 0.001). The same result was seen in the mortality (APC, -22.14%, from 0.0089/100,000 in 2004 to 0.0002/100,000 in 2021, p  < 0.001). All Chinese provinces saw a decline in incidence and mortality. Longitudinal analysis identified the age distribution in the incidence and mortality of HUA did not change and was highest in persons aged 15-59 years, accounting for 70% of all reported cases. During the COVID-19 pandemic, no significant increase was seen in pediatric HUA cases in China., Conclusion: China is experiencing an unprecedented decline in HUA, with the lowest incidence and mortality for 18 years. Effective drugs with broad spectrum safety profile to all people are highly expected to combat COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2. Here we report that nelfinavir, an FDA approved drug for the treatment of HIV infection, is effective against SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. Preincubation of nelfinavir could inhibit the activity of the main protease of the SARS-CoV-2 (IC 50  = 8.26 μM), while its antiviral activity in Vero E6 cells against a clinical isolate of SARS-CoV-2 was determined to be 2.93 μM (EC 50 ). In comparison with vehicle-treated animals, rhesus macaque prophylactically treated with nelfinavir had significantly lower temperature and significantly reduced virus loads in the nasal and anal swabs of the animals. At necropsy, nelfinavir-treated animals had a significant reduction of the viral replication in the lungs by nearly three orders of magnitude. A prospective clinic study with 37 enrolled treatment-naive patients at Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, which were randomized (1:1) to nelfinavir and control groups, showed that the nelfinavir treatment could shorten the duration of viral shedding by 5.5 days (9.0 vs. 14.5 days, P = 0.055) and the duration of fever time by 3.8 days (2.8 vs. 6.6 days, P = 0.014) in mild/moderate COVID-19 patients. The antiviral efficiency and clinical benefits in rhesus macaque model and in COVID-19 patients, together with its well-established good safety profile in almost all ages and during pregnancy, indicated that nelfinavir is a highly promising medication with the potential of preventative effect for the treatment of COVID-19., (© 2023.
