Background: HPV (human papillomavirus) is an important cause of cervical cancer. Cervical-vaginal infection with pathogens, such as herpes simplex virus (HSV), bacterial vaginosis Trichomonas vaginalis and vaginal candidiasis could be a cofactor. This study aimed to assess the relationship between vaginal infection with HPV genotype and cytology test results and analyze the relationship between vaginal and HPV infections and cervical cancer. Methods: We performed a district-based study to elucidate the relationship among the vaginal and HPV infections and cervical cancer. We collected the cervical exfoliation data of 23,724 women admitted to the Shanghai Zhoupu Hospital and received ThinPrep cytology test (TCT) and HPV detection between 2014 and 2019. Results: Total vaginal infection rate was 5.3%, and the HPV-positive group had a slightly higher vaginal infection rate than the HPV-negative group (P < 0.01). The incidence rate of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or cervical cancer with vaginal infection was higher than without vaginal infection (P < 0.001). Conclusion: HPV/vaginal infection-positive women tended to have abnormal results of TCT. Women with vaginal infection were more likely to develop HPV infection. Background: Eating disorders (ED) have increasingly become a global topic of concern for public health. A better understanding of ED incidence is a basic requirement for improving its management. However, the temporal trend of ED incidence in China is still unknown. Methods: The incidence rates of ED from 1990 to 2017 were collected from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017 database according to the following: subtype, i.e. anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN); sex; and age group. The average annual percent changes and relative risks were calculated using joinpoint regression and the age–period–cohort model, respectively. Results: From 1990 to 2017, age-standardized incidence rates of ED continued to increase in males and females, and this variation trend was observed in AN and BN. Joinpoint regression analysis showed that the incidence rates increased in all age groups. Adolescents had the highest risk of developing ED, followed by young adults. Age effects were the most influential risk factor for ED incidence. Period effects showed that the risk of developing ED continuously increased with increasing time periods in BN, but not in ED and AN. Concerning the cohort effects, people born after the 1990s presented a higher risk of ED, though they presented a lower risk of BN as compared to the whole cohort. Conclusions: ED incidence rates continue to increase in China, particularly among adolescents and young adults. Spread of the carbapenemase-encoding and mobilized colistin resistance (mcr) genes among Enterobacteriales poses a great threat to global public health, especially when the both genes are transferred by a single plasmid. Here, we identified a bla NDM– 1- and mcr-9 -co-encoding plasmid harbored by a clinical isolate of Klebsiella pneumoniae (KPN710429). KPN710429 was recovered from a blood sample from an inpatient in a tertiary hospital in China, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing showed that it was multidrug-resistant and only susceptible to aztreonam, colistin, and tigecycline. KPN710429 belongs to sequence type (ST) 1308 and capsular serotype KL144. The string test of KPN710429 was negative, and this strain didn't exhibit a hypervirulent phenotype according to serum-killing and Galleria mellonella lethality assessments. Whole-genome sequencing revealed the KPN710429 genome comprises a single chromosome and three plasmids. All virulence associated genes were harbored by chromosome. Most of its antimicrobial resistance genes, including bla NDM– 1 and mcr-9 were carried by plasmid pK701429_2, belonging to the incompatibility (Inc) HI2/HI2A group and ST1. Comparative genomics assays indicates that pK710429_2 could be a hybrid plasmid, formed by a Tn 6696 -like bla NDM– 1 region inserting into a mcr-9 -positive-IncHI2/HI2A plasmid. pK710429_2 contained the conjugative transfer gene regions, Tra1 and Tra2, with some structural variations, and conjugation assays revealed that pK710429_2 was transferable. Although pK710429_2 lacked the qseB - qseC regulatory genes, mcr-9 expression was upregulated after pretreatment with colistin for 6 h, leading to colistin resistance in KPN710429. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a bla NDM– 1- and mcr-9 -co-encoding transferable plasmid harbored by a bloodstream-infection-causing K. pneumoniae strain in China. Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is currently the main cause of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions in female patients. By analyzing 6-year patient data from Shanghai Zhoupu Hospital in China, we retrospectively analyzed the epidemiological characteristics of women to determine the relationship between HPV genotype and cytological test results. Methods: From 2014 to 2019, 23,724 cases of cervical shedding were collected from Zhoupu Hospital in Shanghai, China. By comparing the results of HPV and ThinPrep cytology test (TCT), the HPV infection rate of patients was retrospectively analyzed. HPV genotyping using commercial kits can detect 21 HPV subtypes (15 high-risk and 6 low-risk). According to the definition of the Bethesda system, seven types of cervical cytology results were involved. Results: 3816 among 23,724 women, nearly 16.08%, were infected with HPV. The top three highest HPV prevalence rates were high-risk type infection, including HPV52 (3.19%), 58 (2.47%) and 16 (2.34%). The number of single-type HPV infections (3480 (91.20%)) was much larger than the number of multi-type ones (336 (8.8%)). Single-type infections were mainly in women aged 50–60 (16.63%) and women under 30 (15.37%), while multi-type infections were more common in women over 60 (2.67%). By analyzing the long-term trends, between 2014 and 2019, HPV52, 58, and 16 subtypes changed significantly, and the HPV positive rate also changed significantly during this period. Among 4502 TCT positive women, 15 (4.04%), 125 (2.64%),159 (1.54%), 4202 (17.71%) and 1 (0.004%) had atypical glandular cells (AGC), high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL), low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL), atypical squamous cells (ASC)and cervical adenocarcinoma, respectively. The HPV infection rates were 66.08%, 63.99%, 115.20%, 119.50%, and 31.72% for NILM, AGCs, HSILs LSILs and ASCs, respectively. Conclusions: HPV and TCT screening were very important steps in the secondary prevention of cervical cancer. Through the tracking and analysis of HPV and TCT results in this study, it can provide valuable information for Shanghai's HPV screening and prevention strategies, and provide references for clinical decision-making in the treatment of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. aimed to establish a tool for rapid identification of KL49 Acinetobacter baumannii. Methods: Based on the capsular polysaccharide (CPS) synthesis genes database, we investigated the distribution of K locus type 49 (KL49) genes in other KL types and established a rapid identification method for KL49. We collected 61 clinical carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CRAB) strains, identified KL49 by gtr100 detection, and used whole genome sequencing (WGS) for verification. A mouse pneumonia model was used to confirm the hypervirulence phenotype. We tested the presence of gtr100 gene in 165 CRAB strains from three provinces in China and evaluated the correlation of gtr100 carrying CRAB infection with mortality. Results: The gtr100 gene is the CPS synthesis gene found only in KL49. We screened out nine WGS-validated KL49 strains from 61 CRAB clinical strains using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect the gtr100 gene. The survival rates of KL49 strains were significantly lower than nonKL49 strains in a mouse pneumonia model. The survival rates of LAC-4 gtr100 knockout strain decreased significantly. Analysis of phylogenetics showed the worldwide spread of KL49 A. baumannii. Infection of gtr100 carrying CRAB is an independent risk for mortality (OR, 10.76; 95%CI: 3.08– 37.55; p< 0.001). Conclusion: The hypervirulence phenotype of KL49 CRAB and the association with mortality highlight the urgent need for implementing control measures. • A DRL based approach is applied to adaptive control of STATCOM-ADC parameters. • An ANN-based estimator is proposed for system identification. • The proposed novel control agent is adaptive and robust. • An online application strategy is proposed to avoid frequent parameter adjustment. Due to the fluctuation characteristics of the wind turbine (WT) production, the design of the control system needs to ensure the stability of the power system at different wind speeds. In this context, a WT-oriented adaptive robust control agent for a static synchronous compensator having additional damper controller (STATCOM-ADC) is proposed in this paper. An artificial neural network based estimator for system identification which can identify the equivalent transfer function of the whole system in real time is used in this paper. Then a Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) algorithm is adopted to train the agent on learning the adaptive robust control strategy for STATCOM-ADC. Compared with other control strategies, the proposed method has modelled self-learning abilities, and the parameter settings provided by the agent for one operation state of the system are still applicable to other states. Simulation results on the actual wind farm located in China Ningxia province show that the proposed method can enhance the stability of the system under different fault conditions and wind speeds. Purpose: To investigate how vault and other biometric variations affect postoperative refractive error of implantable collamer lenses (ICLs) by integrating artificial intelligence and modified vergence formula., Setting: Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai, China., Design: Artificial intelligence and big data-based prediction model., Methods: 2845 eyes that underwent uneventful spherical ICL or toric ICL implantation and with manifest refraction results 1 month postoperatively were included. 1 eye of each patient was randomly included. Random forest was used to calculate the postoperative sphere, cylinder, and spherical equivalent by inputting variable ocular parameters. The influence of predicted vault and modified Holladay formula on predicting postoperative refractive error was analyzed. Subgroup analysis of ideal vault (0.25 to 0.75 mm) and extreme vault (<0.25 mm or >0.75 mm) was performed., Results: In the test set of both ICLs, all the random forest-based models significantly improved the accuracy of predicting postoperative sphere compared with the Online Calculation & Ordering System calculator ( P < .001). For ideal vault, the combination of modified Holladay formula in spherical ICL exhibited highest accuracy ( R = 0.606). For extreme vault, the combination of predicted vault in spherical ICL enhanced R values ( R = 0.864). The combination of predicted vault and modified Holladay formula was most optimal for toric ICL in all ranges of vault (ideal vault: R = 0.516, extreme vault: R = 0.334)., Conclusions: The random forest-based calculator, considering vault and variable ocular parameters, illustrated superiority over the existing calculator on the study datasets. Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety between baricitinib (BARI) and tofacitinib (TOFA) for the treatment of the rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients receiving methotrexate (MTX) in clinical practice., Methods: This retrospective study recruited 179 RA patients treated with BARI (2-4 mg/d) or TOFA (10 mg/d) at The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from September 2019 to January 2022. The rate of low disease activity (LDA) was used as the primary end point. Secondary end points included the Disease Activity Scale-28 (DAS-28)-C-reactive protein (CRP); the rate of DAS28-CRP remission; visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, swollen joint, and tender joint counts; and adverse events at the 6-month follow-up. Several factors affecting LDA achievement were also analyzed., Results: Seventy-four patients were treated with BARI and 105 were treated with TOFA, including 83.24% females, with a median (IQR) age of 56.0 (53.0-56.0) years old and disease duration of 12.0 (6.0-12.0) months. There was no difference of the rate of LDA between the BARI and TOFA treatment groups. All disease indices in the two groups were significantly improved, including a significantly lower VAS in the BARI group (P < 0.05), reflecting the drug efficacy after 1 and 6 months of treatment. The incidence of adverse reactions was similar in these two groups., Conclusion: The treatment efficacy and safety of BARI and TOFA in the RA patients were similar, but BARI was more effective in pain relief than TOFA. An older baseline age was more likely to achieve LDA in the BARI group, while a low baseline erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) was more likely to achieve LDA in the TOFA group., (© 2023. Objectives: This study aims to explore quarantined individuals' emotional well-being over time and how personal response and life activity predict emotional well-being and its change., Design/methods: Daily data were collected from 134 participants with 71 having 14 consecutive days' data. Hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) and General Linear Model (GLM) were used to examine the primary tests., Results: Overall, positive and negative emotions declined significantly during the surveyed period. Meanwhile, differences were observed in the level of positive, depressed, and negative emotions and/or patterns of change among different population categories. The personal response of worrying about work and life was positively related to depressed and negative emotions at baseline, but was negatively related to the development of both depressed and negative emotions over time. Among life activities, family stressor was a significant predictor for both depressed and negative emotions while social support predicted positive emotions. Moreover, health & hygiene activity was positively related to positive emotions at baseline., Conclusions: The results provide scientific evidence for public health policymakers on quarantine policies and inform the general public about quarantine life. They highlight the importance of addressing the needs of vulnerable groups (parents with young children, divorcees, clinicians) during the pandemic, and demonstrate the benefits of promoting healthcare and hygiene activity, having a sense of worry and access to social support.

Objective: To comprehensively examine the potential impacts of prenatal experience of the Chinese Great Famine on chronic disease risks in the middle age., Methods: This study included 92 284 participants aged 39-51 years from China Kadoorie Biobank born around the famine period and without major chronic diseases at baseline. We categorised participants into non-famine births (born between 1 October 1956 and 30 September 1958, and 1 October 1962 and 30 September 1964) and famine births (born between 1 October 1959 and 30 September 1961). The outcomes were incident cardiovascular disease, cancer and respiratory system disease. Cox regression was used to estimate adjusted HR and 95% CI for famine exposure. Subgroup analyses were performed according to baseline characteristics., Results: During a median 10.1 years of follow-up, we identified 4626 incident ischaemic heart disease (IHD) cases, 7332 cerebrovascular disease cases, 3111 cancer cases and 16 081 respiratory system disease cases. In the whole population, prenatal famine exposure was not statistically associated with the risks of developing any chronic diseases in adulthood. However, for urban participants, compared with non-famine births, famine births had a higher risk of cerebrovascular disease (HR 1.18; 95% CI 1.09 to 1.28); such association was not shown for rural participants (p for interaction <0.001). Also, we observed the associations of prenatal famine exposure with IHD (HR 1.15; 95% CI 1.05 to 1.26) and cerebrovascular disease (HR 1.13; 95% CI 1.05 to 1.21) in participants with lower physical activity level, but not in those with higher ones (all p for interaction=0.003)., Conclusion: Our findings indicate that prenatal exposure to the Chinese famine might be associated with an increased cardiovascular risk and such risk may be modified by adult lifestyle., Competing Interests: Competing interests: None declared., (© Author(s) (or their employer(s)) 2020. Background: Carbapenem-resistant hypervirulent (hypermucoviscous) Klebsiella pneumoniae (CR-HMKP) poses a significant public health challenge. We investigated its epidemiology and molecular characteristics in a tertiary care hospital in eastern China., Methods: CR-HMKP were identified among 106 non-duplicated carbapenem-resistant K. pneumoniae isolates (from June 2013 to September 2017) using the string test. The pulsotype (PT) and sequence type (ST) of CR-HMKP isolates were determined using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis and multilocus sequence typing. Resistance determinants, capsular serotypes, and virulence genes were detected by PCR and sequencing. Representative isolates from each PT were selected, and their virulence phenotypes were established using the serum killing and Galleria mellonella lethality assays., Results: Of the 106 isolates, 13 (12.3%) were CR-HMKP. Seven were positive for bla NDM-1 and shared the same genotype (PT5/ST1764); the others were positive for bla KPC-2 , belonged to ST11, and were divided into four different PTs. The serotype of all bla NDM-1 -positive isolates was K64, while that of bla KPC-2 -positive isolates were K47 (N=4) and K64 (N=2). The NDM-1-producing HMKP isolates were positive for aerobactin , exhibited high serum resistance, and elicited significantly increased larval mortality compared with the other isolates. All patients had received invasive treatment prior to infection by NDM-1-producing HMKP. The infections occurred between July and August 2016 and were hospital-acquired., Conclusions: NDM-1-producing HMKP ST1764 isolates were identified; this is the first report worldwide on an outbreak of nosocomial infection caused by these isolates. Biopsy has been used to diagnose thoracic diseases for more than a century. Percutaneous needle biopsy plays a crucial role in the diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning for tumors in the lungs, thoracic wall, hilum, and mediastinum. With the continuous improvement in imaging techniques, the range of clinical applications for percutaneous needle biopsy is also expanding. It has become important to improve Chinese professionals' and technicians' understanding of percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy (PTNB) in order to standardize operating procedures and to strengthen perioperative management. However, there is currently no Chinese expert consensus that provides systematic standardization and guidance for PTNB in clinical practice. The Committee of Chinese Society of Interventional Oncology (CSIO) of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA) initiated a Chinese multidisciplinary expert consensus on PTNB. Introduction: Although genetic variants of the A disintegrin and metalloproteinase 10 (ADAM10) gene have been shown to be associated with susceptibility to several inflammatory-related diseases, to date little is known about the clinical relationship in the development of sepsis., Methods: Two genetic variants in the promoter of ADAM10 were selected to analyze the potential association with the risk of sepsis. A total of 440 sepsis patients and 450 matched healthy individuals in two independent Chinese Han population were enrolled. Pyrosequencing and polymerase chain reaction-length polymorphism was used to determine the genotypes of the rs514049 and rs653765. A real-time qPCR method was used to detect the mRNA level of ADAM10. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the expression levels of substrates CX3CL1, interleukin (IL)-6R, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-6. Luciferase assay was used to analyze the activities of the promoter haplotypes of ADAM10., Results: No statistically significant differences between sepsis cases and controls in the genotype or allele frequencies were observed, suggesting that ADAM10 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) may not be risk factors for the occurrence of sepsis. A significant difference in the genotype and allele frequencies of the rs653765 SNP between patients with sepsis subtype and severe sepsis (P = 0.0014) or severe sepsis/sepsis shock (P = 0.0037) were observed. Moreover, the rs653765 CC genotype in severe sepsis showed a higher ADAM10 level compared to healthy groups, and the rs653765 CC polymorphism had a strong impact on the production of the ADAM10 substrates CX3CL1, IL-6R and TNF-α. Furthermore, the functional assay showed that ADAM10 C-A haplotype carriers exhibited significantly higher reporter activity compared with the T-A carriers and T-C carriers in human acute monocytic leukemia cell line., Conclusions: Our data initially indicated the ADAM10 rs653765 polymorphism was associated with the development of severe sepsis; the risk CC genotype could functionally affect the expression level of ADAM10 mRNA and was accompanied by the up-regulation of its substrates. Thus, ADAM10 might be clinically important and play a critical role in the pathogenesis of the development of sepsis, with potentially important therapeutic implications.

Objective: To evaluate factors in penile squamous cell carcinoma predictive of pelvic lymph node metastasis and survival., Materials and Methods: Data were collected and analyzed retrospectively in 146 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of penis who underwent bilateral inguinal lymph node dissection in our center between January 1998 and April 2011. Variables recorded included serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen, primary tumor p53 immunoreactivity, histological grade, pathological tumor stage, lymphatic or vascular invasion, absent/unilateral or bilateral inguinal lymph node involvement, number of metastatic inguinal lymph nodes, presence of extracapsular growth and lymph node density., Results: Seventy patients had inguinal lymph node metastasis (LNM). Of these, 33 (47.1%) had pelvic LNM. Primary tumor strong p53 expression, lymphatic or vascular invasion, involvement of more than two inguinal lymph nodes and 30% or greater lymph node density were significant predictors of pelvic LNM. Primary tumor strong p53 expression (odds ratio [OR] 5.997, 95% confidence intervals [CI] 1.615-22.275), presence of extracapsular growth (OR 2.209, 95% CI 1.166-4.184), involvement of more than two inguinal lymph nodes (OR 2.494, 95% CI 1.086-5.728) and pelvic lymph node involvement (OR 18.206, 95% CI 6.807-48.696) were independent prognostic factors for overall survival., Conclusions: Primary tumor expression of p53, lymphatic or vascular invasion, number of metastatic inguinal lymph nodes and lymph node density were all predictors of pathologic pelvic lymph node involvement. Patients with pelvic LNM had an adverse prognosis, with a 3-year overall survival rate of approximately 12.1%. Pelvic lymph node dissection should be considered in these cases.

Autosomal dominant cerebellar ataxias (ADCAs) comprise a group of genetically heterogeneous neurodegenerative disorders among which spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) represents the most common form of SCAs worldwide. The fragments of SCA3/MJD gene,which is the member of family GXPL1,were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The PCR products of SCA3/MJD gene were detected with capillary electrophoresis (CE) and sequencing to evaluate the size of CAG repeats, feature in the transmission and the mutation in the family with SCA3 in Guangxi province. The results showed that the exon 10 of the SCA3/MJD gene contains 64-71 CAG repeats in all of the affected individuals and three asymptomatic carriers of the family. The number of the CAG repeats during transmission in the normal individuals carrying CGG allele remains consistent, suggesting that CGG allele could have no effect on intergenerational stability of CAG repeats in normal individuals. In addition, two novel point mutations were identified: IVS9-113 T > C in the intronic region and a missense mutation 220 G > A (Glu > Gly) in the encoding region. These two novel point mutations have not been reported and the effect of the mutations on the phenotype of SCA3 is not clear.

Objective: To establish an intervention model of school health promotion, and apply it in developing "schistosomiasis-free schools"., Methods: At the pilot stage, all students of Henghu primary school and Banshan primary school in Xinjian County of Jiangxi Province were selected as experiment group and control group, respectively. A baseline survey covered knowledge and attitude on schistosomiasis control, water contact behaviors and Schistosoma japonicum infection rate. Two health promotion intervention models, i.e. "information communication + training of protection skill + reward & punishment" (model A, 1993-1999) and "information communication + behavior participation + encouragement" (model B, 2000-2007), were implemented in Henghu school. The effect of two models was compared by infection rate. At the application stage, all students of 8 schools in Xinjian County, Nanchang County, and Jinxian County were chosen for evaluation of the effectiveness of Model B with same methods and index., Results: Before intervention there was no significant statistical difference on the passed rate of anti-schistosomiasis knowledge, correct rate of anti-schistosomiasis attitude, frequency of infested water exposure and the infection rate between Henghu and Banshan schools (P > 0.05). In Henghu school, the intervention showed significant effect on the scores of knowledge and attitude after one year (P < 0.01), raised from 9.0% and 55.1% before intervention to 94.4% and 98.9% after intervention, respectively. The frequency of infested water exposure and the infection rate significantly decreased from 14.6% and 13.5% before intervention to 1.9% and 2.3%, respectively (P < 0.01). In 2-7 years after intervention, there were only one or two schistosomiasis cases each year. At the application stage, no schistosomiasis cases were found among Model B target population in two successive years after intervention., Conclusion: The practice of Model B can be extended to other schools in endemic area to develop "schistosomiasis-free schools".

Background: A three-generation Chinese family with Hailey-Hailey disease (HHD) was identified and characterized. The proband developed HHD with severe recurrent blisters and crusted erosions involving the body folds. Skin biopsy studies showed epidermal hyperkeratosis and defects in cell-to-cell adhesion. Three other members in the family were also affected with HHD and had the same clinical manifestations. The purpose of this study was to identify the pathogenic gene or mutation in the family., Methods: All exons and exon-intron boundaries of ATP2C1 were polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplified and sequenced with DNA samples from the proband. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis for the intron 23-exon 24 boundary of ATP2C1 was performed in all family members and in 100 normal control subjects., Results: A novel 2-bp deletion (c.2251delGT) was detected in exon 24 of the ATP2C1 gene. The mutation was present in the three other affected family members and in two asymptomatic young carriers, but not in the other normal family members or the 100 normal controls. The mutation resulted in a frameshift change and led to the formation of a premature termination codon (PTC) four amino acid residues downstream from the sixth transmembrane domain., Conclusions: Our results indicate that the novel c.2251delGT (p.V751fs) mutation in the ATP2C1 gene is responsible for HHD in this Chinese family. This study expands the spectrum of ATP2C1 mutations associated with HHD.

Chinese rice wine has a history of more than 5000 years, only in China, hich is called "Nation Wine", and Shao Xing Chinese rice wine is a representative of it. The fluorescence spectra of 3 kinds of Shao Xing Chinese rice wine with different storage age induced by suitable UV-light were obtained in the present paper through experiment. The authors compared and analyzed them comprehensively by using three dimensional contour and two dimensional fluorescence technique, and found that their best induced light was all in the vicinity of 370 nm. The peak wavelength of 3 year storage age wine was 504 nm, while 488 nm and 505 nm were for 5 and 8 year storage age wine respectively. The emitted fluorescence existed in 400 to 680 nm, which had wide peak. More over, the emitting mechanism of Shao Xing Chinese rice wine was discussed. The authors also have explained the similarity and difference of fluorescence spectra among the 3 kinds of wine. The reason for wide fluorescence peak was also analyzed. This investigation contributes to the study of the characteristic, year detection and food safety of Chinese rice wine.

An 24-month prospective epidemiological investigation on the results of China-mode Hepatitis A attenuated live vaccine against hepatitis A by random group sampling was carried out. The incidence of case group was 15.91/10(5) (5/31421), the incidence of control group was 95.92/10(5) (30/ 31277) which showed a significant difference. In case group 2081 persons who missed vaccination, there was one person developed hepatitis A, making the incidence 48.05/10(5). In control group 760 persons were vaccinated by mistake and there was no case developed in this sub-population. There were 644 cases of hepatitis A in the external control group, the incidence was 90.14/10(5). Data showed that there was no significant difference among external control group, control group and persons from case group who missed vaccination. Comparing the data from case group and from the above 3 groups, the protective rates were 82.35%, 83.41% and 66.89%. respectively. When conparing the data from persons who had been mistakenly vaccinated in control group, there was no significant difference being noticed.
