Purpose: Based on the perspectives of social capital, image motivation and motivation affordances, this paper explores the direct and moderation effects of different kinds of motivations (i.e. relationship-based motivation, community-based motivation and individual-based motivation) on users' continuous knowledge contributions in social question and answer (Q&A) communities. Design/methodology/approach: The authors collect the panel data of 10,193 users from a popular social Q&A community in China. Then, a negative binomial regression model is adopted to analyze the collected data. Findings: The paper demonstrates that social learning, peer recognition and knowledge seeking positively affect users' continuous contribution behaviors. However, the results also show that social exposure has the opposite effect. In addition, self-presentation is found to moderate the influence of social factors on users' continuous use behaviors, while the moderation effect of motivation affordances has no significance. Originality/value: First, this study develops a comprehensive motivation framework that helps gain deeper insights into the underlying mechanism of knowledge contribution in social Q&A communities. Second, this study conducts panel data analysis to capture the impacts of motivations over time, rather than intentions at a fixed time point. AbstractLive streaming has been increasingly popular worldwide, with gift-giving emerging as a pivotal revenue stream for many streamers. While prior research has delved into the influence of streamers’ emotions and viewer-streamer interaction on viewers’ gift-giving behaviors, we suggest that peer viewers also play an essential role. In line with the principles of social influence and herding theory, the behaviors of peer viewers and the size of the viewing group are integral factors shaping individual behaviors. Hence, in the context of lives streaming, we focus on examining the impact of peer viewers’ gift-giving behaviors and the audience size on the gift-giving behaviors of individual viewers, respectively. Additionally, we examine the moderating role of viewers’ identities. We collected data from a popular live streaming platform in China and employed a panel regression model based on a sample of 651,678 viewers. This study contributes to the gift-giving literature by revealing the influence of peer viewers on focal viewers’ likelihood of gifting, gifting frequency and gifting value, and the moderating effect of viewers’ identities. Overall, these results have significant implications for both the theoretical understanding of social influence and herding in online setting, as well as the practical implications for future live streaming management. BACKGROUND: Soil quality assessment is a critical strategy for determining optimum fertilization in intensive pomelo production. In this study, we evaluated the soil quality status and mapped the spatial distribution of 347 soil samples collected from pomelo orchards in Pinghe County, southern China. We analyzed nine chemical parameters and an altitude indicator. RESULTS: The mean soil quality index (SQI) was 0.355 in the total data set (TDS) and 0.292 in the minimum data set (MDS). Available Ca (Avail‐Ca), pH value, organic matter and altitude were selected as indicators of soil quality in the MDS. The SQI in mature orchards (>10 years) was higher than that in young orchards (<10 years), while no differences between soil types and altitude gradients were identified. We detected a significant positive correlation between the SQI based on TDS (SQITDS) and the SQI based on MDS (SQIMDS), and the spatial distribution of soil properties and SQITDS showed a uniform pattern, except for Avail‐N, Avail‐B and SQIMDS. Overall, unfavorable soil quality indicators, including rich in Avail‐P, deficient in Avail‐Ca, ‐Mg and ‐B, soil acidification and high altitude, were considered to be limiting factors for pomelo production. CONCLUSION: The soil chemical quality in pomelo orchards is generally low, indicating that integrated management by controlling acidification, reducing planting altitude, regulating fertilization and monitoring soil properties is required for sustainable pomelo production. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry. Purpose: The reviews submitted by users are the foundation of user-generated content (UGC) platforms. However, the rapid growth of users brings the problems of information overload and spotty content, which makes it necessary for UGC platforms to screen out reviews that are really helpful to users. The authors put forward in this paper the factors influencing review helpfulness voting from the perspective of review characteristics and reviewer characteristics. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses 8,953 reviews from 20 movies listed on Douban.com with variables focusing on review characteristics and reviewer characteristics that affect review helpfulness. To verify the six hypotheses proposed in the study, Stata 14 was used to perform tobit regression. Findings: Findings show that review helpfulness is significantly influenced by the length, valence, timeliness and deviation rating of the reviews. The results also underlie that a review submitted by a reviewer who has more followers and experience is more affected by review characteristics. Originality/value: Previous literature has discussed the factors that affect the helpfulness of reviews; however, the authors have established a new model that explores more comprehensive review characteristics and the moderating effect reviewer characteristics have on helpfulness. In this empirical research, the authors selected a UGC community in China as the research object. The UGC community may encourage users to write more helpful reviews by highlighting the characteristics of users. Users in return can use this to establish his/her image in the community. Background: Listeria monocytogenes consists of four lineages that occupy a wide variety of ecological niches. Sequence type (ST) 87 (serotype 1/2b), belonging to lineage I, is one of the most common STs isolated from food products, food associated environments and sporadic listeriosis in China. Here, we performed a comparative genomic analysis of the L. monocytogenes ST87 clone by sequencing 71 strains representing a diverse range of sources, different geographical locations and isolation years. Results: The core genome and pan genome of ST87 contained 2667 genes and 3687 genes respectively. Phylogenetic analysis based on core genome SNPs divided the 71 strains into 10 clades. The clinical strains were distributed among multiple clades. Four clades contained strains from multiple geographic regions and showed high genetic diversity. The major gene content variation of ST87 genomes was due to putative prophages, with eleven hotspots of the genome that harbor prophages. All strains carry an intact CRISRP/Cas system. Two major CRISPR spacer profiles were found which were not clustered phylogenetically. A large plasmid of about 90 Kb, which carried heavy metal resistance genes, was found in 32.4% (23/71) of the strains. All ST87 strains harbored the Listeria pathogenicity island (LIPI)-4 and a unique 10-open read frame (ORF) genomic island containing a novel restriction-modification system. Conclusion: Whole genome sequence analysis of L. monocytogenes ST87 enabled a clearer understanding of the population structure and the evolutionary history of ST87 L. monocytogenes in China. The novel genetic elements identified may contribute to its virulence and adaptation to different environmental niches. Listeria monocytogenes is a foodborne pathogen frequently isolated from raw pork meat. This study was designed to investigate the prevalence and molecular characteristics of L. monocytogenes in raw pork from open markets in China. The survey was conducted monthly over a 12-month period in Zigong, China. L. monocytogenes was isolated from 262 of 1641 samples collected (16.0%) including minced meat samples (131/608, 21.5%), pork pieces samples (111/857, 13.0%) and environmental swabs (20/176, 11.4%). The isolation rates in spring and winter were significantly higher than those in summer and autumn ( X 2 = 68.85, P < 0.05). All isolates were subjected to serotyping, multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) and AscI pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). The 262 isolates were subtyped into five serotypes: 1/2b (43.1%), 1/2c (35.5%), 1/2a (19.1%), 4b (1.1%), 3a (1.1%); 20 sequence types (STs) with four most frequent STs, being ST9 (35.9%), ST87 (19.8%), ST3 (16.0%) and ST8 (14.1%); and 39 pulsotypes (PTs) with PT4 (26.3%), PT30 (14.5%) and PT11 (12.6%) being most frequent. Two primary pulsotypes from pork pieces were previously isolated from clinical listeriosis cases in the local hospitals. The six markets from different districts differed in the level of contamination and strain types. Persistent contamination of L. monocytogenes was found in the markets especially in meat mincers, which were found to be one likely source of continuous cross contamination. These findings will help develop strategies to reduce L. monocytogenes contamination in open markets for better public health control and prevention of foodborne L. monocytogenes infections. With the rapid development of the Internet, the online shopping market expands constantly. Inspired by fierce competition and complex and diverse consumer demand, personalized recommendation has become an effective marketing tool for e-commerce enterprises. However, the existing recommendation methods based on online consumer behavior or preferences are characterized by poor accuracy and low efficiency. The paper mainly conducts three studies, the study1 proves that seven online lifestyles, which are "Comfortable, Entertainment, Luxury, Tradition & Conservation, Rational, Fashion Sense, and Social Activities", affect Chinese consumers' purchase. However, the different online lifestyles have different effects on purchase, thus the response rates of recommending. The study2 proposes a new personalized recommendation method "online lifestyle tagging (OLT)" based on online lifestyle and user behavior tags to identify online lifestyles. In the study3, the efficiency of OLT is tested and verified using data collected from enterprises, it suggests that OLT has a significantly higher response rate than traditional behavior-based methods. This study demonstrates that OLT improves the accuracy and efficiency of personalized recommendation, and thus contributes to the theory of personalized recommendation and marketing methods based on lifestyle. Abstract: According to the climatic characteristics in Tianjin where lies in the cold climate regions of China, the passage describes a technique called adjustable external blinds which is to enhance the architectural thermal comfort degree. This technique based on a series of experiments of architectures with different orientations in local climatic condition and numerical analysis of thermal environment with finite element method afterwards. This paper shows that alumina shutter has great advantages which can isolate indoor heat greatly in summer of Tianjin, and some optimization measures has also been adopted in order to improve indoor thermal comfort. Escherichia albertii is a recently recognized species in the genus Escherichia that causes diarrhoea. The population structure, genetic diversity and genomic features have not been fully examined. Here, 169 E. albertii isolates from different sources and regions in China were sequenced and combined with 312 publicly available genomes (from additional 14 countries) for genomic analyses. The E. albertii population was divided into two clades and eight lineages, with lineage 3 (L3), L5 and L8 more common in China. Clinical isolates were observed in all clades/lineages. Virulence genes were found to be distributed differently among lineages: subtypes of the intimin encoding gene eae and the cytolethal distending toxin gene cdtB were lineage associated, and the second type three secretion system (ETT2) island was truncated in L3 and L6. Seven new eae subtypes and one new cdtB subtype ( cdtB -VI) were identified. Alarmingly, 85.9 % of the Chinese E. albertii isolates were predicted to be multidrug-resistant (MDR) with 35.9 % harbouring genes capable of conferring resistance to 10 to 14 different drug classes. The majority of the MDR isolates were of poultry source from China and belonged to four sequence types (STs) [ST4638, ST4479, ST4633 and ST4488]. Thirty-four plasmids with some carrying MDR and virulence genes, and 130 prophages were identified from 17 complete E. albertii genomes. The 130 intact prophages were clustered into five groups, with group five prophages harbouring more virulence genes. We further identified three E. albertii specific genes as markers for the identification of this species. Our findings provided fundamental insights into the population structure, virulence variation and drug resistance of E. albertii .

Background: Cases of refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia have been increasing recently; however, whether viral coinfection or macrolide-resistant M. infection contribute to the development of refractory M. pneumoniae pneumonia remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the impacts of viral coinfection and macrolide-resistant M. pneumoniae infection on M. pneumoniae pneumonia in hospitalized children and build a model to predict a severe disease course., Methods: Nasopharyngeal swabs or sputum specimens were collected from patients with community-acquired pneumonia meeting our protocol who were admitted to Shanghai Children's Medical Center from December 1, 2016, to May 31, 2019. The specimens were tested with the FilmArray Respiratory Panel, a multiplex polymerase chain reaction assay that detects 16 viruses, Bordetella pertussis, M. pneumoniae, and Chlamydophila pneumoniae. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were used to identify the risk factors for adenovirus coinfection and macrolide-resistant mycoplasma infection., Results: Among the 107 M. pneumoniae pneumonia patients, the coinfection rate was 56.07%, and 60 (60/107, 56.07%) patients were infected by drug-resistant M. pneumoniae. Adenovirus was the most prevalent coinfecting organism, accounting for 22.43% (24/107). The classification tree confirmed that viral coinfection was more common in patients younger than 3 years old. Adenovirus coinfection and drug-resistant M. pneumoniae infection occurred more commonly in patients with refractory M. pneumoniae pneumonia (P = 0.019; P = 0.001). A prediction model including wheezing, lung consolidation and extrapulmonary complications was used to predict adenovirus coinfection. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the prediction model was 0.795 (95% CI 0.679-0.893, P < 0.001). A prolonged fever duration after the application of macrolides for 48 h was found more commonly in patients infected by drug-resistant M. pneumoniae (P = 0.002). A fever duration longer than 7 days was an independent risk factor for drug-resistant Mycoplasma infection (OR = 3.500, 95% CI = 1.310-9.353, P = 0.012)., Conclusions: The occurrence of refractory M. pneumoniae pneumonia is associated with adenovirus coinfection and infection by drug-resistant M. pneumoniae. A prediction model combining wheezing, extrapulmonary complications and lung consolidation can be used to predict adenovirus coinfection in children with M. pneumoniae pneumonia. A prolonged fever duration indicates drug-resistant M. pneumoniae infection, and a reasonable change in antibiotics is necessary.

Background: Neonatal listeriosis is a rare but severe disease manifesting as septicemia and central nervous system (CNS) infections with a high fatality rate of around 20 to 30%. Whole genome sequencing (WGS) is a promising technique for pathogen identification and infection source tracing with its high resolution., Case Presentation: A case of neonatal sepsis with listeriosis was reported with positive blood culture for Listeria monocytogenes. The case was investigated to confirm the vertical transmission of the infection and identify the potential food source of the maternal L. monocytogenes infection using WGS. L. monocytogenes was isolated from the neonate's blood sample the day after caesarean delivery and from the mother's genital and pudenda swab samples 5 days and 13 days after caesarean delivery. WGS showed that the isolate from the neonate was identical to the genome type of the isolates from the mother, with only one of the 4 isolates from the mother differing by one single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). By WGS, one L. monocytogenes isolate from a ready-to-eat (RTE) meat sample in the patients' community market shared the same sequence type but was ruled out as the cause of infection, with 57 SNP differences to the strain causing the maternal-neonatal infection. The food isolate also carried a novel plasmid pLM1686 that harbored heavy metal resistance genes. After caesarean section, the mother was treated with a third generation cephalosporin which L. monocytogenes is naturally resistant to, which may explain why genital and pudenda swabs were still culture-positive for L. monocytogenes 13 days after delivery., Conclusions: Genital swab culture for L. monocytogenes had been informative in the diagnosis of maternal listeriosis in this case. The high resolution of WGS confirmed the maternal-neonatal transmission of L. monocytogenes infection and ruled out the L. monocytogenes contaminated RTE meat from the local market as the direct source of the mother's infection.

A sample pretreatment method for the determination of 18 chlorophenols (CPs) in aqueous samples by derivatization liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) was investigated using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Derivatization reagent was spiked into the extraction solvent to combine derivatization and extraction into one step. High sensitivity of 18 CPs derivatives could be achieved after optimization of several parameters such as extraction solvent, percentage of derivatization reagent, extraction time, pH, and ionic strength. The results from the optimal method showed that calibration ranging from 0.5 to 500microgL(-1) could be achieved with the RSDs between 1.75% and 9.39%, and the limits of detection (LOD) are ranging from 0.01 to 0.12microgL(-1) for the CPs. Moreover, the proposed LPME method was compared with solid-phase microextraction (SPME) coupled with on-fiber derivatization technique. The results suggested that using both methods are quite agreeable. Furthermore, the recoveries of LPME evaluated by spiked environmental samples ranged from 87.9% (3,5-DCP) to 114.7% (2,3,5,6-TeCP), and environmental water samples collected from the Pearl River were analyzed with the optimized LPME method, the concentrations of 18 CPs ranged from 0.0237microgL(-1) (3,5-DCP) to 0.3623microgL(-1) (2,3,6-TCP).
