The industrial sector is China's major element of energy consumption and carbon emissions, and carbon emissions reduction in industrial parks has become an important foothold in carbon reduction work. Predicting the future evolution trend of carbon emissions in industrial parks under different policy orientations is of great significance for China to achieve the carbon emissions peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Based on the current status of electricity consumption and carbon emissions in industrial parks, this paper takes a light industrial park as the research object, analyzes the source of carbon emissions in this park, combines the characteristics of resource endowment and industrial structure, and considers the factors influencing society, load curve, energy supply and carbon sink, thus constructing a system dynamics model of carbon emission evolution for this park. Different influencing factors are selected to set multiple target scenarios, and the GDP, carbon emissions, carbon emissions reduction and near‐zero carbon evaluation coefficient of light industrial parks are used as characterization indicators for simulation analysis. The analysis results revealed that the comprehensive scenario set by increasing the maximum installed capacity of renewable energy units and raising the proportions of environmental and science and technology inputs while adjusting the industrial growth rate of the park performed best. Simple Summary: Apostichopus japonicus is a temperate marine invertebrate and an economically important aquatic echinoderm species in China. As a benthic organism, sea cucumbers feed on small benthic particulate matter and are easily affected by pollutants. Therefore, for conservation purposes, it is important to elucidate the effects of specific pollutants on these animals. Bisphenol A (BPA) has been identified as an endocrine disruptor that functions as an estrogen analog and typically causes reproductive toxicity by interfering with the endocrine system. We identified the G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1 in A. japonicus and found that both BPA and estradiol could activate the estrogen-receptor-mediated mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway. Using biological approaches, we have confirmed the estrogen-analog bioactivity of BPA on sea cucumbers by direct interaction with the estrogen receptor. We also determined that BPA affects the reproduction of sea cucumbers by metabolic disruption in ovary tissue. Bisphenol A (BPA, 4,4′-isopropylidenediphenol) has been identified as an endocrine disruptor. It is ubiquitously detectable in oceans and affects a variety of marine animals. It functions as an estrogen analog and typically causes reproductive toxicity by interfering with the endocrine system. To comparatively analyze the reproductive effects of estradiol (E2) and BPA on sea cucumbers, we identified a G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER1) in A. japonicus and investigated its effects on reproduction. The results showed that BPA and E2 exposure activated A. japonicus AjGPER1, thereby mediating the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways. High-level expression of AjGPER1 in the ovarian tissue was confirmed by qPCR. Furthermore, metabolic changes were induced by 100 nM (22.83 μg/L) BPA exposure in the ovarian tissue, leading to a notable increase in the activities of trehalase and phosphofructokinase. Overall, our findings suggest that AjGPER1 is directly activated by BPA and affects sea cucumber reproduction by disrupting ovarian tissue metabolism, suggesting that marine pollutants pose a threat to the conservation of sea cucumber resources. Background: Existing evidence on the relationship between maternal tea consumption and pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) is inconclusive. This study aimed to evaluate the association between maternal tea consumption and the risk of PIH.Methods: This study analysed the data of women without chronic hypertension who participated in a retrospective birth cohort study conducted from 2010 to 2012 at the Gansu Provincial Maternity and Child Care Hospital in Lanzhou, China. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the association between tea consumption and the risk of PIH and its clinical subtypes by different tea exposure time windows.Results: Among the 10,452 women included in this study, tea consumption during pregnancy was significantly associated with an increased risk of PIH (odds ratio [OR] = 1.44, 95 % confidence interval [CI]: 1.01, 2.05), gestational hypertension (OR = 1.86, 95 % CI: 1.07, 3.21), and early-onset preeclampsia (OR = 2.93, 95 % CI: 1.21, 7.09). This was especially the case with black tea (OR = 3.57, 95 % CI: 1.67, 7.62).Conclusions: Tea consumption during pregnancy might be associated with an increased risk of PIH, gestational hypertension, and early-onset preeclampsia. Purpose: China is not only a main source area of Asian dust but also a significantly affected area of dust deposition in the world. However, the influence range of Asian dust deposition and its influence on soil provenance remains unclear, particularly in subtropical regions. This study identified the substantial effect of Asian dust on soils and quantified its contribution to subtropical soils of China. Materials and methods: Three soil profiles derived from basalt in subtropical area (Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China) were selected and sampled. The pH, bulk density, and cation exchange capacity (CEC) of soils were determined. The Neodymium (Nd) and Thorium (Th) concentrations and Nd isotope of soils were determined. We used the Nd elemental and isotopic geochemistry to assess the deposition of Asian dust in soil profiles (up to 1 m depth). Results and discussion: The upper soil layers have negative ε Nd (0) values, which were close to those of Asian dust ε Nd 0 = - 3.30) , indicating the input of Asian dust to soils. Further, the high dust-derived Nd proportion in the soils (f dust Nd = 43 %) also suggested a great contribution of Asian dust on soils. A comparison of Nd in the soils from subtropics (Zhejiang province, Southeast China) and tropics (Hainan province, China's southernmost point) indicated that both regions were influenced by Asian dust but at different degrees. Conclusions: Asian dust has been identified as a vital source of Nd in subtropical soils of China. The high mass fraction of dust-derived Nd in the soil profiles indicated the important role of dust input in soil genesis. The sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is an economically important marine species in China, and understanding the mechanisms underlying its gonad development is crucial for successful reproduction and breeding. In this study, we performed transcriptome comparisons and analyses of A. japonicus gonadal and non-gonadal tissues to identify genes and molecular pathways associated with gonadal development. We also supplemented the annotation of the A. japonicus genome. Collectively, results revealed a total of 941 ovary-specific genes and 2499 testis-specific genes through different expression analysis and WGCNA analysis. The most enriched pathways in ovary and testis were "DNA replication" and "purine metabolism", respectively. Additionally, we identified key candidate gene modules that control gonad development and germ cell maturation, with CDT1 and DYNC2LI1 serving as hub genes. Our findings provide important insights into the gonadal development system of A. japonicus and offer valuable references for further research on reproductive biology in this marine invertebrate species. Abstract: To determine optimal gestational weight gain (GWG) for the Chinese population.Live singleton deliveries at the largest maternal & childcare hospital in northwest China from 2010 to 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine the lowest aggregated risk of interested perinatal outcomes based on Chinese adult body mass index (BMI) categories.Eight thousand eight hundred seventy enrolled parturients were divided into 4 groups according to their prepregnancy BMI: underweight (21.31%, BMI < 18.5 kg/m2), normal weight (67.81%, 18.5 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 24 kg/m2), overweight (8.99%, 24 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 28 kg/m2 and obese (1.89%, BMI ≥ 28 kg/m2). The optimal GWG values for the above 4 groups were 16.7 kg (GWG range, 12.0-21.5), 14.5 kg (9.5-19.5), 11.5 kg (7.0-16.5), and 8.0 kg (5.0-13.0). The rates of inadequate, optimal and excessive GWG in present study were 6.14% (545), 62.34% (5529), and 31.52% (2796) respectively, which were significantly different from those of the 2009 Institute of Medicine recommendation (χ2 = 1416.05, Pinteraction < 0.0001).Wider optimal GWG ranges than those recommended by Institute of Medicine were found in our study, and our proposed criteria seems to be practical to the Chinese population., Competing Interests: The authors have no conflicts of interests to disclose., (Copyright © 2021 the Author(s).
