Objective The aim of this study is to identify whether low lupus disease activity status (LLDAS) and clinical remission (CR) of belimumab plus standard of care (SoC) therapy are achievable goals in childhood-onset SLE (cSLE). Methods This multicentre, one arm pre-post intervention study was conducted at 15 centres in China. The primary end point was to describe the proportion of patients who achieved LLDAS and CR after 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment with belimumab plus SoC therapy. A multiple regression model was used to impute missing data. A Poisson regression model was used to calculate the effect of belimumab treatment on the reduced risk of serious diseases and the incidence of new damage. Result A total of 193 (92.2% female) with active cSLE from 15 centres were included. At 3, 6 and 12 months, the proportion of LLDAS (CR) was 12.4% (1.0%), 25.6% (4.5%) and 70.3% (29.7%), respectively. The mean SELENA-SLEDAI score decreased from 11.0 at baseline to 3.7, 2.9 and 1.7 at 3, 6 and 12 months. At baseline, all patients received steroids at a mean (s. d.) prednisone equivalent dose of 31.0 (18.2) mg/day, which decreased to 19.4 (10.8) mg/day at month 3, 12.6 (7.2) mg/day at month 6 and 6.7 (5.3) mg/day at month 12. The symptoms and immunological indicators were also significantly improved. Conclusion This is the first and largest sample size prospective clinical intervention study of cSLE patients treated with belimumab in China. Based on the well logging requirements of horizontal stripper wells, the flow characteristics of the oil-water two-phase flow in the invisible horizontal tri-electrode capacitive sensor (HTCS) measurement pipeline are studied. First, an experimental device and a numerical validation model of a horizontal 20 mm glass pipeline are established to study the flow characteristics of the oil-water two-phase flow. Then, the flow characteristics of the horizontal oil-water two-phase flow in the measurement pipeline under different horizontal inclination angles are studied and the flow patterns and inclination angles suitable for the new tri-electrode capacitive sensor are discussed. Finally, using the horizontal oil-water two-phase flow loop platform of the largest oil and gas testing center in China, the dynamic response of the new capacitive sensor is studied under different inclination angles, flow rates, and water-cut conditions, and the dynamic response law is analyzed based on the simulation results. Helium, a rare gas widely applied in high-tech fields, is a significant strategic resource in China. The foreign-trade dependence ratio of helium in China is 95%. The work reviewed the applications and market analysis of helium and reservoir modeling and distribution of helium in Changqing Gas Field as well as the helium extraction techniques from natural gases. According to the analysis of the component test and the dynamic monitoring of exploited gas wells and gas-gathering stations, the average helium content in Changqing Gas Field was 0.028%. Helium was rich in the northwest of Changqing Gas Field, but poor in the central and eastern regions. The helium volume contents in Qingyang Gas Field, Huanglong Gas Field, and the central, western, and southern regions of Sulige Gas Field have reached the industrial development standard. PetroChina performed the economic-feasibility evaluation and production-factor matching research on helium development and selected Changqing Gas Field as the demonstration for development. A large helium plant was established in Changqing Gas Field using the cryogenic method with/without membrane separation for helium extraction. Then, a helium development scheme was formulated and implemented to build the industry chain of helium in China. Changqing Gas Field is rich in helium resources. Developing helium has entered a strategic period with the technological advancement in extracting helium from natural gases and the increased prosperity of the international helium market. Shale gas exploration requires studies on the enrichment mechanism of sedimentary organic matter. The Lower Cambrian shale is taken as a study object to analyze the effect of organic matter on gas content using TOC content and porosity analyses, isothermal adsorption experiments, and FIB-HIM scanning electron microscopy observations. Then, we selected typical wells to determine the presence of excessive silica in the siliceous minerals by quantitative calculations. Besides, we analyzed the genesis of excessive siliceous minerals using elements including Al, Fe, and Mn, thus speculating the controlling factors of the redox environment and biological productivity. Results show that total organic carbon content controls the content of free and adsorbed gas, while shale gas mainly exists in organic pores and is developed in large numbers and with high roundness, showing the characteristics of "small pores inside big pores." In the Lower Yangtze region during the Early Cambrian, the excessive siliceous minerals were of hydrothermal origin, and there were frequent hydrothermal activities due to its closeness to plate boundaries. These activities can intensify the reducibility of the waterbody's bottom and improve the biological productivity on its surface, resulting in the enrichment of this matter. Most excessive silicon in this region is biogenic, while only a small part is of hydrothermal and biogenic mixed origin. The enclosed waterbody of the Upper Yangtze region was far from plate boundaries and close to the semiclosed "gulf," resulting in its delamination. The waterbody's surface was abundant with oxygen, thus increasing the biological productivity, while the high reducibility at the waterbody's bottom was conducive to preserving sedimentary organic matter. Shield tunneling prior to the shafts excavation is an efficient and economical method in the construction of the heat-supplying shield tunnel. Combining the first large cross-section heat-supplying shield tunnel project in China, the characteristics of the construction method are analyzed, and the control measures of segment joints deformation are put forward. Based on the site conditions, the numerical analysis model including interface element is established, and the control effect of the measures is analyzed and evaluated. Through on-site monitoring, the change law of longitudinal stress and joints deformation in different construction stages are measured. Based on the numerical analysis model, the effects of tunnel depth, stratum and grouting reinforcement area on joints deformation are analyzed. The results show that: the deformation of segment joints can be divided into two stages in the project of shield tunneling prior to the shafts excavation: shaft excavation and segments removal, and the segments removal is the main factor. According to the results of numerical calculation and on-site monitoring, the control measures of longitudinal tension lining and retightening bolt, priority to pouring concrete in the bottom of tunnel and secondary grouting behind lining can control the loss of longitudinal stress, and reduce the joints deformation. The maximum deformation of segment joints is 3.51 mm, which meets the waterproofing requirements of shield tunnels. In the project of shield tunneling prior to the shafts excavation, the deformation control of the top segment joints should be strengthened in the shallow tunnel, while for the deep tunnel, which should be strengthened of the bottom segment joints. When the tunnel passes through the stratum with larger resilience modulus, the deformation of the bottom joints will be larger. Grouting reinforcement of surrounding soil can reduce the loss of longitudinal stress and the joints deformation effectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Purpose: LGI1 antibody encephalitis is a synaptic autoimmune disorder that was first reported in 2010. To date, LGI1 antibody encephalitis is a widely-recognized disease in neurology and psychiatry. In order to aid clinical recognition of the condition, we analyze the clinical characteristics of 13 Chinese LGI1 antibody encephalitis patients., Methods: We analyzed clinical features of patients admitted to the West China Hospital who had been diagnosed with LGI1 antibody encephalitis from 2015 to 2017., Results: The median age of the 13 patients was 40.5years. There were 8 female patients, and 1 patient younger than 20years. The initial symptoms in 6 patients (46%) were psychiatric in nature. After treatment, 10 patients (77%) recovered gradually, and 11 patients (85%) showed improvement of psychiatric symptoms., Conclusions: LGI1 antibody encephalitis should be suspected in patients who developed a rapid change in behavior or psychosis, seizures, or cognition. Background: This study aimed to evaluate autoantibodies against the native ribosomal P complex (anti-Rib-P(C)) and recombinant ribosomal P proteins (anti-Rib-P0, anti-Rib-P1, anti-Rib-P2) for their prevalence, diagnostic relevance and clinical associations in a Chinese cohort with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)., Methods: Anti-Rib-P, anti-dsDNA and anti-Smith antigen (Sm) antibodies were analyzed in sera from 198 patients with SLE, 33 with rheumatoid arthritis, 61 with Sjögren's syndrome and 70 healthy individuals by means of ELISA., Results: Antibody prevalences were 29.8% (anti-Rib-P(C)), 33.3% (anti-Rib-P0), 42.9% (anti-Rib-P1) and 34.3% (anti-Rib-P2), at a specificity of 99%. Among SLE patients lacking anti-dsDNA and anti-Sm, 27.8% showed positive for at least one of the investigated anti-Rib-P types. The serological hit rate provided by anti-dsDNA/anti-Sm detection (72.7%) was increased upon parallel testing for anti-Rib-P(C) (77.3%) or anti-Rib-P0/P1/P2 (80.3%). Anti-Rib-P positivity was associated with disease activity, neuropsychiatric events, lupus nephritis, skin rash, lymphocytopenia, increased erythrocyte sedimentation rates, decreased complement C3/C4 and elevated IgA/IgG levels., Conclusion: Based on these results, antibodies against ribosomal P proteins are important complementary parameters to anti-dsDNA and anti-Sm, and should be considered for inclusion in the classification criteria for SLE.
