Purpose: The heterogeneity of autism is well documented, but few studies have studied the heterogeneity of gesture production ability in autistic children. The present study aimed to identify subgroups of autistic children who displayed heterogeneous gesture production abilities and explore the underlying factors, including autism characteristics, intellectual ability, and language ability, that were associated with the heterogeneity. Methods: A total of 65 Chinese autistic children (mean age = 5;3) participated. Their autism characteristics and intellectual ability were assessed by standardized measurements. Language output and gesture production were captured from a parent-child interaction task. Results: We conducted a hierarchical cluster analysis and identified four distinct clusters. Cluster 1 and Cluster 2 both had low gesture production whereas Cluster 3 and Cluster 4 had high gesture production. Both Clusters 1 and 2 had relatively strong autism characteristics, in comparison to Clusters 3 and 4. Conclusions: Our findings revealed that children with stronger autism characteristics may gesture less often than those with weaker characteristics. However, the relationship between language ability and intellectual ability and gesture production was not clear. These findings shed light on the directions of intervention on gesture production for autistic children, especially those with stronger autism characteristics.

The present study aims to examine effective measures to enhance the effects of entrepreneurship education (EE) on university students' entrepreneurial intention (EI) through entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and grit. The survey used a convenient sample of 758 tourism and hotel management students in China. SPSS macro program PROCESS (Model 4) was used to test the mediating effect, and PROCESS (Model 7) was further used to verify the moderated mediation model. The results indicated that: (1) there was statistically significant and positive relationship among EE, ESE, grit, and EI among tourism and hotel management students; (2) EE significantly and positively predicted EI; (3) ESE played a partial mediating role in the link between EE and EI; (4) grit moderated the indirect effect of EE on students' EI via their ESE. EE is a significant predictor of EI of tourism and hotel management students. Particularly, to improve the influence of EE, entrepreneurial policy makers should design incentive policies that ensure that universities provide EE across various majors. Also, educators should create a supportive and effective education environment so as to improve students' ESE and grit.

Purpose: The study aimed to test the overall changes of health-related fitness (HRF) in minority Chinese college students and to examine HRF differences in gender, race, and year in college. Method: Participants (n = 1320) were minority college students with more than two-thirds females (ie 76.1%), and Hui, Tibetan, and Mongolia consisted of 13.8%, 13.8%, and 11.2%, respectively. Student HRF was tracked for four years. Data were analyzed using multilevel latent growth curve modeling. Results: Muscular strength and endurance were the weakest component in minority college students' HRF, while body mass index was within the category of "excellent". Males outperformed female on all components of HRF. Conclusions: It is suggested that interventions concerning minority females' HRF and muscular strength and endurance for both genders be constructed and tested.

China has shown increased engagement in International Higher Education (IHE), an interest motivated by a tremendous demand among both Chinese and international students. Conducted at a full-scale Sino-foreign joint-venture university (JVU) in China, this study seeks to explore the motivation of first-year international students for applying to and attending Sino-foreign JVU in China. A second related question investigates what they expect to experience prior to matriculation. Qualitative data collection and analyses suggest that international students at a Sino-foreign joint-venture university were motivated by a strong desire to distinguish themselves for integrative, international signaling, and instrumental purposes, and expect to change as a result of studying and living in an intercultural environment in China.

BACKGROUND Cardioneuroablation (CNA) has shown encouraging results in patients with vasovagal syncope (VVS). However, data on different subtypes was scarce. METHODS This observational study retrospectively enrolled 141 patients [mean age: 40 ± 18 years, 51 males (36.2%)] with the diagnosis of VVS. The characteristics among different types of VVS and the outcomes after CNA were analyzed. RESULTS After a mean follow-up of 4.3 ± 1.5 years, 41 patients (29.1%) experienced syncope/pre-syncope events after CNA. Syncope/pre-syncope recurrence significantly differed in each subtype (P = 0.04). The cardioinhibitory type of VVS had the lowest recurrence rate after the procedure (n = 6, 16.7%), followed by mixed (n = 26, 30.6%) and vasodepressive (n = 9, 45.0%). Additionally, a significant difference was observed in the analyses of the Kaplan-Meier survival curve (P = 0.02). Syncope/pre-syncope burden was significantly reduced after CNA in the vasodepressive type (P < 0.01). Vasodepressive types with recurrent syncope/pre-syncope after CNA have a lower baseline deceleration capacity (DC) level than those without (7.4 ± 1.0 ms vs. 9.0 ± 1.6 ms, P = 0.01). Patients with DC < 8.4 ms had an 8.1 (HR = 8.1, 95% CI: 2.2-30.0, P = 0.02) times risk of syncope/pre-syncope recurrence after CNA compared to patients with DC = 8.4 ms, and this association still existed after adjusting for age and sex (HR = 8.1, 95% CI: 2.2-30.1, P = 0.02). CONCLUSIONS Different subtypes exhibit different event-free rates. The vasodepressive type exhibited the lowest event-free rate, but those patients with DC = 8.4 ms might benefit from CNA. Landslides, widespread and highly dangerous geological disasters, pose significant risks to humankind and the ecological environment. Consequently, predicting landslides is vital for disaster prevention and mitigation strategies. At present, the predominant methods for predicting landslide susceptibility are evolving from conventional machine learning techniques to deep learning approaches. Prior studies have shown that in the context of landslide susceptibility, these models frequently underperform relative to tree-based machine learning algorithms. This shortcoming has restricted the application of deep learning in this domain. To overcome this challenge, this study presents the TabNet algorithm, which combines the interpretability and selective feature extraction of tree models with the representation learning and comprehensive training capabilities of neural network models. This paper explores the potential of employing the TabNet algorithm for landslide susceptibility analysis in China's WanZhou region and evaluates its performance against traditional machine learning techniques. The experimental data indicate that the TabNet algorithm achieves a recall score of 0.898 and an AUC of 0.915, demonstrating a generalization capability that is comparable to that of classical machine learning algorithms. Phragmites australis is a prevalent species in the Chongming Dongtan wetland and is capable of thriving in various tidal flat environments, including high salinity habitats. P. australis population displays inconsistent ecological performances, highlighting the need to uncover their survival strategies and mechanisms in tidal flats with diverse soil salinities. Upon comparing functional traits of P. australis at multiple tidal flats (low, middle, and high) and their responses to soil physicochemical properties, this study aimed to clarify the salt-tolerant strategy of P. australis and the corresponding mechanisms. These results showed that leaf characteristics, such as specific leaf area and leaf drymatter content, demonstrated more robust stability to soil salinity than shoot height and dry weight. Furthermore, as salt stress intensified, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and peroxisome (POD) in P. australis leaves at low tidal flat exhibited an increased upward trend compared to those at other tidal flats. The molecular mechanism of salt tolerance in Phragmites australis across various habitats was investigated using transcriptome sequencing. Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) combined with differentially expressed genes (DEGs) screened out 3 modules closely related to high salt tolerance and identified 105 core genes crucial for high salt tolerance. Further research was carried out on the few degraded populations at low tidal flat, and 25 core geneswere identified by combiningWGCNA and DEGs. A decrease in the activity of ferroptosis marker gonyautoxin-4 and an increase in the content of Fe3+ in the degenerated groupwere observed, indicating that ferroptosis might participate in degradation. Furthermore, correlation analysis indicated a possible regulatory network between salt tolerance and ferroptosis. Under the goal of "achieving carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060", how to select the type of fresh air system has become a key area of energy conservation. The method of outdoor design PM2.5 concentration is one of the important factors affecting the selection of fresh air filtration system. This paper first analyzed the PM2.5 concentration values of 31 cities in China from 2017 to 2020 based on mathematical induction, and next gave the recommended coefficient K under six urban economic regions methods in combination with the actual situation. Finally, the selection of air filters in five typical cities was taken as an example, the differences in recommended coefficient K and selection of outdoor design PM2.5 concentration under different recommended methods were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the recommended coefficient K under the six economic regions could meet the required K value needs of the region. The recommended coefficient K by the six economic regions methods based on per capita GDP is the best. Under that conditions, the recommended coefficient K of the five typical cities under strict and normal conditions differs from the average K values of the six methods by 0.06 and 0.04. This paper will provide a new method for the correct selection of outdoor design PM2.5 concentration in fresh air systems to achieve the dual carbon energy-saving goal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Microeukaryotes play crucial roles in the microbial loop of freshwater ecosystems, functioning both as primary producers and bacterivorous consumers. However, understanding the assembly of microeukaryotic communities and their functional composition in freshwater lake ecosystems across diverse environmental gradients remains limited. Here, we utilized amplicon sequencing of 18S rRNA gene and multivariate statistical analyses to examine the spatiotemporal and biogeographical patterns of microeukaryotes in water columns (at depths of 0.5, 5, and 10 m) within a subtropical lake in eastern China, covering a 40 km distance during spring and autumn of 2022. Our results revealed that complex and diverse microeukaryotic communities were dominated by Chlorophyta (mainly Chlorophyceae), Fungi, Alveolata, Stramenopiles, and Cryptophyta lineages. Species richness was higher in autumn than in spring, forming significant hump-shaped relationships with chlorophyll a concentration (Chl-a, an indicator of phytoplankton biomass). Microeukaryotic communities exhibited significant seasonality and distance-decay patterns. By contrast, the effect of vertical depth was negligible. Stochastic processes mainly influenced the assembly of microeukaryotic communities, explaining 63, 67, and 55% of community variation for spring, autumn, and both seasons combined, respectively. Trait-based functional analysis revealed the prevalence of heterotrophic and phototrophic microeukaryotic plankton with a tradeoff along N:P ratio, Chl-a, and dissolved oxygen (DO) gradients. Similarly, the mixotrophic proportions were significantly and positively correlated with Chl-a and DO concentrations. Overall, our findings may provide useful insights into the assembly patterns of microeukaryotes in lake ecosystem and how their functions respond to environmental changes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Rhinitis is one of the most prevalent chronic respiratory diseases worldwide. There is emerging evidence suggesting that the indoor microbiome may contribute the onset and exacerbation of rhinitis symptoms, but comprehensive studies on this topic remain scarce. Methods: In this study, we assessed the microbiome assemblage of settled air dust collected in Petri dishes in 86 dormitory rooms of Shanxi University, China using 16s rRNA sequencing. A self-administered questionnaire, including questions about rhinitis symptoms and personal information, was completed by 357 students residing in these dormitories. Logistic and linear regression model was applied to examine the associations between environmental characteristics, indoor microbiome, and rhinitis. Results: The most abundant genera in the dormitories were Ralstonia (15.6%), Pelomonas (11.3%), Anoxybacillus (9.3%) and Ochrobactrum (6.2%). Taxa richness in the class of Actinobacteria and Fusobacteriia was negatively/protectively associated with rhinitis (p<0.05). Six bacterial genera, including those from Actinobacteria (Actinomyces), Fusobacteriia (Fusobacterium), and Bacteroidetes (Prevotella and Capnocytophaga), were negatively/protectively associated with rhinitis. Conversely, seven genera, predominantly from Alphaproteobacteria and Betaproteobacteria (Sphingomonas, Caulobacter, uncharacterized Caulobacteraceae and Comamonadaceae), were positively associated with rhinitis. Living in higher floor level and higher indoor PM2.5 concentrations were associated with a higher abundance of taxa potentially protective against rhinitis and a lower abundance of taxa potentially increasing the risk of rhinitis (P<0.01). However, having curtain indoor and higher indoor CO2 concentrations were associated with a lower abundance of taxa potentially protective against rhinitis and a higher abundance of taxa potentially increasing the risk of rhinitis (P<0.01). Discussion: This study enhances our understanding of the complex interactions between environmental characteristics, indoor microbiomes, and rhinitis, shedding light on potential strategies to manipulate indoor microbiome for disease prevention and control. Objective: The aim of this study was to develop and validate a series of breast cancer-related lymphoedema risk prediction models using machine learning algorithms for early identification of high-risk individuals to reduce the incidence of postoperative breast cancer lymphoedema. Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted from January 2012 to July 2022 in a tertiary oncology hospital. Subsequent to the collection of clinical data, variables with predictive capacity for breast cancer-related lymphoedema (BCRL) were subjected to scrutiny utilizing the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) technique. The entire dataset underwent a randomized partition into training and test subsets, adhering to a 7:3 distribution. Nine classification models were developed, and the model performance was evaluated based on accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, recall, precision, F-score, and area under curve (AUC) of the ROC curve. Ultimately, the selection of the optimal model hinged upon the AUC value. Grid search and 10-fold cross- validation was used to determine the best parameter setting for each algorithm. Results: A total of 670 patients were investigated, of which 469 were in the modeling group and 201 in the validation group. A total of 174 had BCRL (25.97%). The LASSO regression model screened for the 13 features most valuable in predicting BCRL. The range of each metric in the test set for the nine models was, in order: accuracy (0.75-0.84), sensitivity (0.50-0.79), specificity (0.79-0.93), recall (0.50-0.79), precision (0.51-0.70), F score (0.56-0.69), and AUC value (0.71-0.87). Overall, LR achieved the best performance in terms of accuracy (0.81), precision (0.60), sensitivity (0.79), specificity (0.82), recall (0.79), F-score (0.68), and AUC value (0.87) for predicting BCRL. Conclusion: The study established that the constructed logistic regression (LR) model exhibits a more favorable amalgamation of accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, recall, and AUC value. This configuration adeptly discerns patients who are at an elevated risk of BCRL. BACKGROUND: Anastatus japonicus Ashmead, a biological control agent utilized in China to control fruit bugs and forest caterpillars, is efficiently raised on large Chinese oak silkworm (Antheraea pernyi) eggs. Here, we investigated the biological parameters of non‐diapaused and diapaused Anastatus japonicus after long‐term storage within eggs of the host, Antheraea pernyi, under laboratory conditions. RESULTS: Diapaused mature larvae of Anastatus japonicus were more cold‐tolerant than non‐diapaused mature larvae, as reflected by a lower supercoiling point, lower freezing point, and higher survival rate at cold temperatures. Diapause induction enhanced the lifespan, fecundity and oviposition period of Anastatus japonicus than non‐diapaused Anastatus japonicus when refrigerated for 6 months. However, after 12 months of refrigeration, the fecundity and oviposition period of Anastatus japonicus were significantly reduced with and without diapause. No difference in the progeny sex ratio of Anastatus japonicus was observed between diapause‐induction treatment and those of non‐diapaused. With the extension of refrigeration period from 6 months to 12 months, the lifespan, fecundity and oviposition period of Anastatus japonicus which were treated with diapause induction showed a sharp decrease. No significantly difference in the lifespan, fecundity and oviposition period of Anastatus japonicus was observed between diapause‐induction treatment and those of non‐diapaused when refrigerated for 12 months. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that the induction of diapause is an applicable technique to achieve mass production of Anastatus japonicus in long‐term storage using eggs of the factitious host Antheraea pernyi, without compromising the quality of the parasitoid. Currently, a standardized design and calculation specification for suction drum foundations has yet to exist in China. The engineering design currently depends mainly on the subjective understanding and engineering experience of the designers, which can be considered somewhat blind and subjective. In this paper, we utilize the offshore wind power project in Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, as our case study. Building upon domestic and international research results, relevant investigations, design specifications, and engineering applications in related fields, we conduct a systematic study on the design calculation and construction control technology of the suction drum foundation. The document presents the design calculation and inspection of the suction drum foundation. Building on this foundation, we propose a sinking feasibility analysis method and a parameter value method for the suction drum foundation calculation. We also examine the suction drum foundation construction process, examining its control parameters, technology, and standards. Finally, based on the measured data from six four-barrel guided frame platform suction drum foundations that were successfully installed, the proposed design and control method are evaluated, and their effectiveness is verified. The subtropical regions in China are prone to recurrent summer droughts induced by the Western Pacific Subtropical High-Pressure, which has induced the death of tens of millions of culms of Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis (Carriere) J. Houzeau), a widely distributed giant bamboo with high economic and ecological values. In the future, the intensity and frequency of the summer drought are projected to increase in these areas due to global climate change, which may lead to significant age-specific mortality of Moso bamboo. So far, it is still unclear about the age-specific response mechanisms of hydraulic traits and carbon balance of Moso bamboo when it is suffering to an ongoing summer drought. This study aimed to investigate the hydraulic and photosynthetic responses of newly sprouted (1 year old) and established (2-5 years old) culms of Moso bamboo to summer drought, which was manipulated by throughfall reduction in Lin'an of Zhejiang. The results showed that both newly sprouted and established culms had a gradually weakening hydraulic conductivity and photosynthesis during the whole drought process. In the early stage of the manipulated drought, the established culms had more loss of hydraulic conductivity than the newly sprouted culms. However, the newly sprouted culms had significant more loss of hydraulic conductivity and lower photosynthetic rates and stomatal conductance in the middle and late stages of the manipulated drought. The results suggest that the newly sprouted culms were more susceptible to summer drought than established culms due to the combined effects of hydraulic damage and photosynthetic restriction, explaining why the newly sprouted culms have higher mortality than elder culms when subjected to extreme drought. These findings provided insights into the mechanisms of Moso bamboo's age-specific drought-induced mortality, which will help for the anti-drought management of bamboo. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) is a growing threat. It is urgent to investigate the multidrug resistance and high virulence of CRPA to provide a basis for infection control and rational use of antibiotics. Methods: A retrospective study of 56 nonduplicated CRPA isolates was conducted. Results: CRPA mainly came from the intensive care unit (ICU) and was mostly isolated from sputum samples. The carbapenem resistance rates of P. aeruginosa were 21.37% (2016), 10.62, 5.88, 10 and 13.87% from 2016 to 2020, respectively. Carbapenem-resistant enzymes and aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme- encoding genes were detected in all isolates, and extended-spectrum β-lactamase and cephalosporin enzyme-encoding genes were present in 96.43 and 80.38% of isolates, respectively. The detection rate of OprM showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) between the ICU and other wards. Genes related to biofilms, membrane channel proteins, I integrons and efflux systems were detected in all isolates, with detection rates greater than 90%. CRPA was strongly virulent, and over 80% of isolates carried hypervirulence-associated genes (exoU, exoS, exoT, and exoY). The drug resistance rates of cefepime and piperacillin/tazobactam showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) between strains with exoU (+) and exoU (-) (p<0.05). Notably, out of the 7 individuals who died, 4 had extensively drug-resistant P. aeruginosa (57.14%). Discussion: The detection rates of various resistance and virulence genes were high, and the coexistence phenomenon was serious. In clinical practice, antibiotics should be used reasonably based on different drug resistance genes to ensure the rationality and safety of patient medication. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: To systematically assess the efficacy and safety of sacubitril/valsartan (SV) by comparison with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) for the treatment of heart failure caused by acute myocardial infarction (HF-AMI) based on current randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Methods: Several electronic databases were searched up to 27 May 2023. Primary endpoints were the efficacy including the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), N-terminal pro-B type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and 6-min walk test (6MWT) and secondary endpoints were the safety including the major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE) and adverse reaction (AE). Results: A total of 14 RCTs were included and all patients were from China. Among included 1,991 patients, 997 patients received SVs and 994 patients received ACEIs/ARBs. The pooled results demonstrated that patients in the SV group showed significantly better efficacy representing as increased LVEF [weighted mean difference (WMD): 4.43%, 95% confidence interval (CI): 2.84%-6.02%, p < 0.001] and 6MWT (WMD: 30.84 m, 95% CI: 25.65 m-36.03 m, p < 0.001) and decreased LVEDD (WMD: -3.24 mm, 95% CI: -4.96 mm ~ -1.52 mm, p < 0.001) and NT-proBNP (WMD: -188.12 pg/mL, 95% CI: -246.75 pg/mL ~ 129.49 pg/mL, p < 0.001), which was also verified by subgroup analysis based on the history of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Besides, the SV group showed significantly lower incidence rate of MACE [relative risk (RR): 0.60, 95% CI: 0.47-0.75, p < 0.001] and patients receiving SVs in the non-PCI group also showed lower incidence of AE (RR: 0.38, 95% CI: 0.20-0.71, p = 0.002). Conclusion: For the treatment of HF-AMI, SV is more effective and safer than ACEI/ARB based on current evidence, but more high-quality RCTs are still needed to verify above findings. Background: With the increasing development of medical imaging, the use of iodinated contrast media has become more widespread. Adverse reactions caused by iodinated contrast media have drawn much attention. Despite this, there is still a lack of unified standards for the safe infusion process of iodinated contrast media in clinical practice both domestically and internationally. Objectives: Establishing a risk management service system to better predict the risks associated with iodinated contrast media infusion, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions and minimize patient harm. Method: A prospective interventional study was carried out from April 2021 to December 2021 at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital in China. During this study, a service system was established to manage the risks associated with the infusion of iodinated contrast media. Personalized risk identification and assessment were performed by a pharmacist-led multidisciplinary team before iodinated contrast media infusion. Early warning, prevention, and adverse reaction management were performed according to different risk levels during and after infusion. Results: A multidisciplinary team led by pharmacists was established to evaluate the risks associated with infusion of iodinated contrast media. A total of 157 patients with risk factors related to the iodinated contrast media were screened out, which prevented 22 serious adverse events and enhanced the quality of medical care. All participants expressed high satisfaction with the service. Conclusion: Through practical exploration, the pharmacist-led multidisciplinary team can provide advance warning and effectively limit the risks of adverse reactions caused by iodinated contrast media to a preventable and controllable level. This approach serves as a valuable reference for developing strategies and schemes to reduce the incidence of such reactions. The Yellow River originates on the Tibetan Plateau and transports vast amounts of terrestrial sediment to the ocean. However, previous studies have not reached a consensus as to when and how the Yellow River first began to flow into the sea. Here we present Sr-Nd-Pb isotope data and a high-resolution clay mineral record of a 200-m-long sediment core recovered from the modern Yellow River delta. The changes in Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic compositions and clay minerals at 0.71 Ma suggest that a larger proportion of sediment was derived from the Yellow River after this time. We propose that the Yellow River has influenced the Bohai Sea since 1.9 Ma (or even earlier), which provides important evidence for an older Yellow River than 1.2 Ma. A significant increase in discharge of Yellow River sediments since 0.71 Ma is due to continuing subsidence of the eastern China coast, the large amplitude of Quaternary sea-level changes, and increased supply of eroded loess during the last 1.0 Ma. After this time, the contribution of local rivers surrounding the Bohai Sea became negligible due to dilution by the huge amounts of Yellow River sediments. Objectives: This study aimed to characterize the genomic epidemiology of human adenoviruses (HAdVs) in Hubei, China, using metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS). Methods: In total, 25 HAdV-positive samples collected from 21 pediatric patients were sequenced and subjected to mNGS using the NextSeq 550 and GenoLab M sequencing platforms. The metagenomic data were assembled de novo for molecular typing, phylogenetic and recombination analyzes. Results: We assembled 50 HAdV genomes, 88% (22/25) genomes from GenoLab M, and 84% (21/25) genomes from NextSeq 550 have perfect alignments to reference genomes with greater than 90%. The most fully assembled 25 genomes were categorized into 7 HAdV genotypes, the most abundant of which were HAdV-B3 (9/25) and HAdV-C2 (6/25). Phylogenetic analyzes revealed that the newly isolated HAdV-B3 strains diverged into separate clusters according to their genotypes. Vigilance is needed that HAdV-B3 isolates have begun to form new distinct clusters. High nucleotide identity was observed in the whole genome level within the same HAdV genotypes, while marked differences of three capsid genes across HAdV genotypes were noted. The high nucleotide diversity regions were concordant with the reported hypervariable regions. Further, three recombinant strains were identified: S64 and S71 originated from the parental strains HAdV-B14 and HAdV-B11, and S28 originated from HAdV-C1, HAdV-C5, and HAdV-CBJ113. GenoLab M and NextSeq 550 showed comparable performance with respect to data yield, duplication rate, human ratio, and assembly completeness. Conclusion: The sequencing quality and assembly accuracy showed that mNGS assembled genomes can be used for subsequently HAdV genotyping and genomic characterization. Informal environmental regulation, represented by public participation, has an increasingly significant role in environmental governance. This paper utilizes panel data of 285 cities in China from 2003 to 2017. It examines the difference-in-differences (DID) and instrumental variable method (IV) to investigate the causal effect of public participation represented by Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations(ENGOs) on regional carbon emissions. The empirical results show that public participation reduces regional carbon emissions, which still holds after a series of endogeneity and robustness tests. This paper proves an inverted U-shaped nonlinear relationship between the intensity of public participation and regional carbon emissions. Furthermore, this paper demonstrates that regional green technology innovation and strengthening formal environmental regulations are the primary mechanisms for public involvement in promoting regional carbon emission reduction. Finally, this paper discusses the heterogeneity governance effect among cities and finds that the governance effect of the sample is more pronounced in eastern cities, non-resource-based cities, large cities, and provincial capitals. Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the presence and factors related to insulin resistance (IR) in untreated very early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Patients and methods: Between June 2020 and July 2021, a total of 90 RA patients (29 males, 61 females; mean age: 49.3±10.2 years; range 24 to 68 years) and 90 age-, sex- and body mass index (BMI)-matched controls (35 males, 55 females; mean age: 48.3±5.1 years; range 38 to 62 years) were included. Homeostatic model assessment was applied to evaluate IR (HOMA-IR) and β-cell function (HOMA-β). Disease activity score 28 (DAS28) was used to estimate disease activity. Lipid profile, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), glucose, insulin, C-reactive protein (CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) were measured. Logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate the relationship between the IR and clinical features of RA patients. Results: The RA patients had higher HOMA-IR values (p<0.001) and adverse lipid profile. The IR was positively correlated with age (r=0.35, p<0.01), CRP (r=0.42, p<0.001), ESR (r=0.33, p<0.01), disease duration (r=0.28, p<0.01), and DAS28 (r=0.50, p<0.001). The DAS28, CRP and age, but not sex and menopausal status, were independently associated with IR. Conclusion: Insulin resistance was present in untreated very early RA patients. The DAS28, CRP, and age were independent predictors for the presence of IR. Background: Postpartum depression (PPD) is the most common mental illness affecting women during lactation, and good social capital is considered a protective factor. This study aimed to investigate PPD symptoms, and explore the relationships between social capital and PPD symptoms of lactating women in southwest minority areas in China. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 413 lactating women in Guangxi, China. Data were collected using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and the Chinese version of the Social Capital Assessment Questionnaire. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to explore the factors influencing PPD symptoms, and a structural equation model was used to examine how social participation and cognitive social capital mediated PPD symptoms. Results: The total prevalence of PPD symptoms (score > 12) was 16.46%, and that of mild depression symptoms (9–12 score) was 22.03%. Nine variables predicted PPD symptoms and explained 71.6% of the variance in the regression model: higher age, lack of medical security, fixed occupation, breastfeeding time, self-caregiver, maternity leave, social participation, social trust, and social reciprocity. Furthermore, cognitive social capital mediated the relationship between social participation and PPD symptoms, with a mediation effect rate was 44.00%. Conclusion: The findings of this study highlight that social capital, support from family members, maternity leave, and medical insurance play protective roles in the PPD symptoms of lactating women. It is necessary to improve social capital as a key strategy for interventions for PPD symptoms, and active social participation activities are critical to reducing PPD symptoms among lactating women in minority areas. [Objectives] The paper was to identify Alternaría alternata causing leaf spot disease on Huangdi banana in China. [Methods] Fungal isolates were isolated and identified by morphological features, molecular identification and pathogenicity test. [Results] There were light to dark brown, tiny oval spots on leaves. The causal agent isolated from affected leaves was identified as A. alternata based on the morphological properties, coupled with sequence analyses of the internal transcribed spacer (IIS) region, large subunit ribosomal DNA (LSU rD-NA) and the translation elongation factor 1-alpha (TEF-la) gene. Koch's postulates were fuEilled by successful re-isolation of pathogen from the artificial inoculated leaves. [ Conclusions] To our knowledge, this is the first report of leaf spot caused by A. alternata on Huangdi banana in China. The identification of A. alternata as the causal agent of the observed leaf spot disease on Huangdi banana is critical to the prevention and control of this disease in the future. Objective: Brain-computer interface (BCI) has great potential in geriatric applications. However, most BCI studies in the literature used data from young population, and dedicated studies investigating the feasibility of BCIs among senior population are scarce. The current study, we analyzed the age-related differences in the transient electroencephalogram (EEG) response used in visual BCIs, i.e., visual evoked potential (VEP)/motion onset VEP (mVEP), and steady state-response, SSVEP/SSMVEP, between the younger group (age ranges from 22 to 30) and senior group (age ranges from 60 to 75). Methods: The visual stimulations, including flicker, checkerboard, and action observation (AO), were designed with a periodic frequency. Videos of several hand movement, including grasping, dorsiflexion, the thumb opposition, and pinch were utilized to generate the AO stimuli. Eighteen senior and eighteen younger participants were enrolled in the experiments. Spectral-temporal characteristics of induced EEG were compared. Three EEG algorithms, canonical correlation analysis (CCA), task-related component analysis (TRCA), and extended CCA, were utilized to test the performance of the respective BCI systems. Results: In the transient response analysis, the motion checkerboard and AO stimuli were able to elicit prominent mVEP with a specific P1 peak and N2 valley, and the amplitudes of P1 elicited in the senior group were significantly higher than those in the younger group. In the steady-state analysis, SSVEP/SSMVEP could be clearly elicited in both groups. The CCA accuracies of SSVEPs/SSMVEPs in the senior group were slightly lower than those in the younger group in most cases. With extended CCA, the performance of both groups improved significantly. However, for AO targets, the improvement of the senior group (from 63.1 to 71.9%) was lower than that of the younger group (from 63.6 to 83.6%). Conclusion: Compared with younger subjects, the amplitudes of P1 elicited by motion onset is significantly higher in the senior group, which might be a potential advantage for seniors if mVEP-based BCIs is used. This study also shows for the first time that AO-based BCI is feasible for the senior population. However, new algorithms for senior subjects, especially in identifying AO targets, are needed. To eectively reduce the homework burden and o-campus training burden of students in the compulsory education stage in China, China adopts the double reduction policy to carry out corresponding governance in the field of education. This study aims to explore the public’s psychological cognition of the current education system under the implementation of the double reduction policy. The public’s opinion data on education concepts under the implementation of the double reduction policy are collected, then the SPSS software and Amos software to quantitatively analyze the public’s educational concept data are used, and a corresponding structural model equation to analyze the public’s opinion on the implementation of the double reduction policy is established. The psychological concepts of all aspects of education are observed, the public’s psychological views on education under the implementation of the double reduction policy are finally obtained, the ideological connotation of popularizing the double reduction policy for the general public is provided, and the balanced development of the domestic education system for the implementation of the double reduction policy is ensured. This study aimed to provide evidence of validity and reliability for the Perceived Mattering Questionnaire-Physical Education (PMQ-PE) developed by Richards et al. (2017) for the Chinese physical education (PE) teachers. The PMQ-PE consisted of two factors (i.e., PE matters and PE teacher matters) with four items in each, measuring four dimensions (attention, importance, dependence, and ego-extension). PMQ-PE in Chinese (PMQ-PEC) was validated among 1,278 elementary and secondary school PE teachers in China, of whom 59.0% were secondary PE teachers and 70.2% were males. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with the entire sample found a poor model fit. Then exploratory factor analysis (EFA) using half of the sample indicated there was only one factor in PMQ-PEC. CFA of the other half of the sample suggested a one-factor model with the elimination of three unfitted items showed a better fitness to the data. Cronbach's alpha value was also acceptable. The final version of PMQ-PEC included five items with one factor that demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability and was deemed acceptable among Chinese PE teachers after the above modifications were made. This study examines factors affecting users’ intention to recommend bike-sharing apps from the perspective of internal and external benefits perception. Since the end of 2016, bike sharing has suddenly taken off in China, and competition is fierce. Bike-sharing users’ intention to recommend bike apps is particularly important as it can help operators attract more potential users. However, little research to date has focused on bike-sharing users’ intention to recommend bike apps in the Chinese context. This study aims to fill this research gap using structural equation modelling. Data were collected from 209 bike-sharing app customers and the results show the following key findings: (1) the usefulness of the bike-sharing app is the most important factor contributing to users’ intention to recommend, followed by economic incentive and ease of use; (2) users’ trust that interacts with perceived ease of use has positive effect on users’ intention to recommend, while users’ trust that interacts with economic incentive has negative effect on users’ intention to recommend. [Objectives] The paper was to study molecular characterization, morphology and pathogenicity of Curvularia pseudobrachyspora, a new causal agent of leaf spot on banana. [Methods] Banana (Musa acuminate') leaves with streaks or long ellipse-shaped lesions were sampled in an orchard of Danzhou City, Hainan Province, China in 2021. Fungus isolates were isolated from the diseased tissues and further identified as C. pseudobrachyspora based on morphological characteristics of colony, conidiophore and spore, phylogenetic analyses of the ITS region, GAP DP and TET-la genes. [Results] In the pathogenicity test, the fungus re-isolated from inoculated leaves with necrotic lesions was identified morphologically and molecularly, fulfilling Koch's postulates. [Methods] Fungus isolates were isolated from the diseased tissues, and cultured to observe the morphological characteristics of colony and spore. Furthermore, phylogenetic analyses and pathogenicity test were also conducted to confirm the pathogen. [Results] The fungus isolated from the diseased tissues was identified as Neopestalotiopsis clavispora. [Conclusions] N. clavispora is a new pathogen causing leaf spot of banana. Laccase has huge potential application in all aspects of biotechnology due to the ability of laccase to oxidize a wide range of phenolic and nonphenolic compounds. The future success of such applications requires large amounts of laccase with low costs. White-rot fungi are important groups of laccase production. In this study, three white-rot fungi, Phlebia acerina Han 618, Trametes hirsuta Han 726, and Coriolopsis trogii Han 751, isolated from a native North China habitat, were identified by the method of molecular biology and preliminary screening of the ability of laccase-production by guaiacol selection medium. Then they were fermented on different lignocellulosic biomass. Three species showed consistency in preference of lignocellulosic biomass, and the presence of stalk of Sorghum bicolor was more suitable for secreting laccase. The capacity of laccase secretion from different species was significantly different. The capacity of secreting laccase of C. trogii Han 751 was superior to that of P. acerina Han 618 and T. hirsuta Han 726. The discovery of a new strain with superior capacity of secreting laccase and suitable lignocellulosic biomass were helpful for laying a foundation for the optimization of the fermentation conditions for the highest laccase production, the isolation and purification of laccase, and the industrial application of laccase. Objectives: To evaluate the incidence and risk factors of postoperative pneumonia (POP) in geriatric patients with a hip fracture after surgery, to design a predictive nomogram, and to validate the accuracy of the nomogram. Design: Retrospective study. Setting: A tertiary hospital affiliated to a medical university. Patients/Participants: We retrospectively studied 1285 surgical-treated geriatric patients with a hip fracture from April 2010 to April 2018. Intervention: Surgical treatment was performed on the patients of this study. The procedure methods were classified as: total hip arthroplasty, hemiarthroplasty, percutaneous fixation, intramedullary nail fixation, and plate/screw fixation. Main Outcome Measurement: The primary interest of end point of this study is the development of POP during the postoperative period. The postoperative period in this study was defined as the time from 24 hours after surgery to discharge. The diagnostic criteria for pneumonia were set according to the guidelines built by the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Thoracic Society (Guidelines for the Management of Adults with Hospital-Acquired, Ventilator-Associated, and Healthcare-Associated Pneumonia, 2005). Potential variables for developing POP were identified using logistic regression analyses initially and were further selected via the method of LASSO. Then the independent risk factors were identified by multivariable regression analyses. A predictive nomogram was built based on the multiple regression model, and the calibration abilities of the nomogram was measured by Harrel Cindex, calibration plot and Hosmer-Lemeshow test, respectively. Decision curve analysis was carried out to assess the net benefit due to threshold probability and an on-line questionnaire survey was conducted among the clinicians to assess the applicability of the nomogram coherently. Results: Of the 1285 patients, 70 (5.4%) developed POP. COPD, number of comorbidities, ASA classification >2, preoperative dependent functional status and cognitive impairment were identified as independent risk factors of POP. The nomogram built based on the results showed good accordance between the predicted probabilities and the observed frequency. The decision curve analysis confirmed the clinical utility of the nomogram when the threshold probabilities were between 5% and 65% due to the net benefit, while the results of on-line questionnaire among 200 clinicians showed that 91.5% of the participants had amental threshold of intervention between 5-50%. Conclusion: (1). COPD, number of comorbidities, ASA classification >2, preoperative dependent functional status and cognitive impairment are independent risk factors for POP. (2). The nomogrambuilt in this study has a good accordance between the predictive risk and the observational incidence. Consortship has been defined as a temporary association between an adult male and an estrous/receptive female. It has been considered as male mating strategies to improve male mating success and potential reproductive success. However, the female roles have been more or less neglected, and thus, less is known about female behavioral strategies during the consortship periods. In this study, during the two consecutive mating seasons, we collected behavioral data of free-ranging Tibetan macaques (Macaca thibetana) habituated in Mt. Huangshan, China, to investigate female behaviors when she was consorted by an adult male. The results showed that (a) females were more likely to approach and exhibit sexual solicitation to their consorting males during the consorted period, and females also exhibited less approach to their nonconsorting males; (b) females exhibited strong responses (either departed distantly or formed affiliative relationships with their consorting male partner) when their consorting males mated with rival females or showed sexual motivation toward rival females; (c) female preferences were positively correlated to the duration of consortships and the frequencies of ejaculation copulations, independent of the social ranks of their consorting male partners. Our results suggested that female strategies played much more important roles in forming and maintaining consortship than previously assumed. It provides new insight into understanding female adaptive strategies to male strategies by forming consortships in multimale-multifemale primate species when males could not identify female's fertile phase accurately. Purpose: While prior research provides interesting insights into the effect of social media use in enterprises, there is limited research on how use of different social media platforms affects employee job satisfaction and work efficiency. This study developed a research model to investigate how public and private social media platforms used for different motivations affect employee job satisfaction and work efficiency. Design/methodology/approach: Online surveys were conducted in China, generating 453 valid responses for analysis. Structural equation modeling is performed to test the research model and hypotheses. Findings: The results suggest that (1) public social media used for both work- and social-related motivations positively affects employee job satisfaction, while private social media only used for social-related motivations can contribute to employee job satisfaction. (2) Public and private social media used for work-related motivations can contribute to employee work efficiency, while social-related motivations for use of public and private social media and employee work efficiency are not significant. (3) In the process of social media usage influencing employee job satisfaction and work efficiency, employees of different genders show significant differences. Originality/value: First, this paper contributes to information systems social media research by examining the joint effects of different motivations for public and private social media usage on employee job satisfaction and work efficiency in organizations. With the increase of particulate pollution in the atmosphere, it becomes extremely significant to understand the overall distribution characteristics of particulates and their adsorption of toxic gases for the source analysis and precise controlling of atmospheric particulate matters. The fractal theory was adopted to analyze particle sizes distribution characteristics in Xi'an city, China. Results showed the fractal dimension of particulate matters distribution ranged from 4.32-4.83, with an average fractal dimension of 4.54. A higher fractal dimension predicts a higher concentration of fine particles. With speeding up urbanization in China, it is important to understand the vertical distribution characteristics of outdoor particulate matter concentrations of high-rise buildings. A high-rise building at different heights (1st, 7th, 11th, 17th, 23th, and 27th floors) in a university in Xi'an was tested and analyzed in this paper. Test time was 8:00, 12:00, 15:00, 15:00 and 22:00, respectively. The results showed that the concentration of each particulate matter changed the same trend roughly with the increase of vertical height at 8:00 and 22:00, as well as at 15:00 and 18:00. While the mass concentration of each particle showed a trend of first increased, then decreased and next then increased with the height increased when the time was 12:00. It caused by the inverse temperature. The particles between 0 and 1.0 μm accounted for more than 99.4% during the testing. There were mainly small particles in the atmosphere. PM1.0/PM10 and PM2.5/PM10 all showed a trend of first decreased and then increased at different vertical height. The highest points of PM2.5 /PM10 and PM1.0 /PM10 increased by 9.63% and 8.2% respectively from the lowest points, and the ratio was the highest at 15:00. At the same time, outdoor meteorological conditions would also affect the concentration distribution of particulate matters. Applied a non-radical non-oriented Slack Based Measure (SBM) model of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure the linkage efficiency between the two sectors from 2009 to 2016. The paper analyzes the current situation of manufacturing and logistics efficiency, presents a way to improve the linkage efficiency of manufacturing and logistics industry, and using Tobit regression to analyze the environmental factors that affect the linkage efficiency. The results show that: Totality, the two industries in the three northeast provinces show a steady development trend in the period from 2009 to 2016, but the development of the two industries in northeast China is still insufficient. Unexpected pollutant output is the main reason for the decline of manufacturing efficiency in the regions. The redundancy of input factors is the main reason that affects the efficiency decline of the logistics industry. The results of Tobit regression analysis show that the investment of science and technology and opening to the outside world have a positive influence on the efficiency of the two industries, and government consumption has a negative effect on the efficiency of the two industries. This is to correctly understand and grasp the status of two industry linkage development in three northeast provinces. And it provides a certain basis for the development policy of the two-industry linkage development. Implications: Due to the availability of data, reference to the relevant achievements of the research on the linkage between manufacturing industry and logistics industry. For populations with a high risk of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) in Guangdong province in southern China, mass screening is the first choice to prevent death from NPC. To improve the performance of NPC screening, we used a combination based on the IgA antibody against the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) capsid antigen (VCA-IgA) and the IgA antibody against Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1-IgA) to NPC screening by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). A multiplication model was applied to measure the level of the combination. We evaluated the NPC screening effect of the markers.A case-control study was performed to assess the NPC screening effect of the markers. A total of 10,894 serum specimens were collected, including 554 samples from NPC patients and 10,340 samples from healthy controls. In the training stage, 640 subjects were randomly selected, including 320 NPC cases and 320 healthy controls. In the verification stage, 10,254 subjects were used to verify the NPC screening effect of the combination. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was performed. In the verification stage, the combination achieved an sensitivity of 91.45%, a specificity of 93.45%, and an area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.978 (95% CI [0.968-0.987]). Compared with VCA-IgA and EBNA1-IgA individually, the combination had an improved screening performance. A probability (PROB) calculated by logistic regression model based on VCA-IgA and EBNA1-IgA was applied to NPC screening by ELISA in China. The AUC of the combination was a little bit larger than the PROB. There was a slight increase (3.13%) in the sensitivity of the combination compared to the sensitivity of the PROB, while the specificity was lower for the combination (92.50%) than for the PROB (95.94%). We successfully applied a combination of two ELISA tests based on VCA-IgA and EBNA1-IgA for NPC screening by using a multiplication model. Here, we report on an influenza virus surveillance of pigs from 2011 to 2018 in China, and identify a recently emerged genotype 4 (G4) reassortant Eurasian avian-like (EA) H1N1 virus, which bears 2009 pandemic (pdm/09) and triple-reassortant (TR)-derived internal genes and has been predominant in swine populations since 2016. Similar to pdm/09 virus, G4 viruses bind to human-type receptors, produce much higher progeny virus in human airway epithelial cells, and show efficient infectivity and aerosol transmission in ferrets. Moreover, low antigenic cross-reactivity of human influenza vaccine strains with G4 reassortant EA H1N1 virus indicates that preexisting population immunity does not provide protection against G4 viruses. Further serological surveillance among occupational exposure population showed that 10.4% (35/338) of swine workers were positive for G4 EA H1N1 virus, especially for participants 18 y to 35 y old, who had 20.5% (9/44) seropositive rates, indicating that the predominant G4 EA H1N1 virus has acquired increased human infectivity. Background: This study aimed to establish reference intervals for blood gas analyses of umbilical arterial blood from healthy neonates in the Hulunbuir area of China. Methods: APGAR scores of 8 - 10 (1-min intervals) were obtained for umbilical arterial blood collected from 2,845 healthy newborns during 2,016 - 2,018 based on 10 items - pH, PCO2, PO2, K+, Na+, Cl-, Ca2+, lactic acid (Lac), hemoglobin (Hb), base excess (BE) - using the electrode method. Means ± 1.96 SD were used to establish reference ranges. Results: Reference intervals obtained were pH 7.25 ± 0.13, PCO2 53.8 ± 20.6 mmHg, PO2 20.8 ± 10.3 mmHg, K+ 4.34 ± 1.32 mmol/L, Na+ 132.4 ± 4.30 mmol/L, Cl- 105.22 ± 5.51 mmol/L, Ca2+ 1.35 ± 0.13 mmol/L, Lac 3.36 ± 1.75 mmol/L, Hb 15.62 ± 3.06 g/dL, BE -4.62 ± 3.28 mmol/L. Conclusions: These results can help evaluate hypoxia associated with neonatal ischemia in the clinical setting and provide a basis for establishing references for umbilical arterial blood gas in other geographic regions. Based on the data for the economic traits of tobacco leaf in 25 counties of Shaanxi province in China from 2015 to 2019 obtained from Tobacco Science Research Institute of Shaanxi Province, a two-way fixed effect model was used to explore the influence of flue-cured tobacco economic characteristics on tobacco cultivation income. The empirical study showed that the large tobacco growers in Shaanxi Province lack the scientific and technological power matching with the scale of land management, the planting area and the unit yield; all these have significant negative effects on the tobacco cultivation income. The increase of tobacco planting income can be promoted by increasing the unit output value, total yield and purchase price of tobacco leaves. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the government in Shaanxi should encourage tobacco growers to choose the land management scale, suitable for them and is also in line with their own tobacco science and technology power. Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common malignancy seen in men and the second leading cause of cancerrelated death in males. The incidence and mortality associated with PCa has been rapidly increasing in China recently. Methods: Multiple diagnostic models of human PCa were developed based on Taylor database by combining the artificial neural networks (ANNs) to enhance the ability of PCa diagnosis. Genetic algorithm (GA) is used to select feature genes as numerical encoded parameters that reflect cancer, metastatic, or normal samples. Back propagation (BP) neural network and learning vector quantization (LVQ) neural network were used to build different Cancer/Normal, Primary/Metastatic, and Gleason Grade diagnostic models. Results: The performance of these modeling approaches was evaluated by predictive accuracy (ACC) and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). By observing the statistically significant parameters of the three training sets, our Cancer/ Normal, Primary/Metastatic, and Gleason Grade models' with ACC and AUC can be drawn (97.33%, 0.9832), (99.17%, 0.9952), and (90.48%, 0.8742), respectively. Conclusion: These results indicated that our diagnostic models of human PCa based on Taylor database combining the feature gene expression profiling data and artificial intelligence algorithms might act as a powerful tool for diagnosing PCa. Gleason Grade diagnostic models were used as novel prognostic diagnosis models for biochemical recurrence-free survival and overall survival, which might be helpful in the prognostic diagnosis of PCa in patients. Evaluation of the ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by green space is important for controlling haze. In this study, the ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by green space in China in 2001, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2018 are analyzed based on green space quality and sensitivity using a geographic information system (GIS) and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) imagery. The results showed that the benchmark ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by green space when considering only the area of green space showed a trend that increases first and then decreases in 2001-2018, with 9000458.55 million Kg, 9145110.75 million Kg and 7734526.75 million Kg in 2001, 2013 and 2018, respectively. However, the corrected functions based on green space quality were 7724215.34 million Kg, 8320301.79 million Kg and 6510132.55 million Kg in the corresponding years. This indicated large differences between ecosystem service functions of haze absorption based on the quality and area of green space; only considering the area of green space to evaluate ecosystem service functions will result in overestimation. In terms of the spatial distribution of the ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by green space, there were greater differences in the benchmark and corrected functions, and the spatial distributions of the maximum, intermediate and minimum ecosystem service functions were notably different. However, the benchmark and corrected functions all showed a consistent trend in the rank of their contribution rates and ecosystem service functions as well as consistent distribution trends: the spatial distribution of ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by green space was very different in the same year, but there was little difference among different years. The change coefficients for the ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by arable land and grass land remained stable, whereas the coefficient of sensitivity for forest cover was elastic. Patch density (PD) and the ecosystem service functions of SO2 absorption, NOx absorption, dust retention and total ecosystem services showed a significant negative correlation, with correlation coefficients of -0.407, -0.511, -.330 and -0.332, respectively. In contrast, the area-weighted mean shape index (SAPE_AM) and ecosystem service functions exhibited significant positive relationships with correlation coefficients of 0.650, 0.634, 0.568 and 0.570, respectively. The results provide an improved method for evaluating the ecosystem service functions of haze absorption by green space as well as a reference for the prevention and control of haze and the coordinated development of regional societies, the economy and the environment. In recent years, the application of membrane structures in industrial storage buildings has been widely praised due to its light weight, high transparency, self-cleaning, and other advantages. The textile membranes consist of polyester fiber substrate and polyvinyl chloride or polyvinylidene fluoride flame-retardant coatings. It occupies the main market of architectural membrane materials in China. However, the fabric membrane material has high heat transfer coefficient, poor thermal insulation, and high light transmittance performance, being affected significantly by solar radiation intensity. These thermal optical properties are lead to a poor indoor thermal environment of industrial storage buildings. This article aims to overcome the difficulties in analyzing the fabric membrane materials solar radiation heat transfer. The complexity of heat transfer is mainly caused by the hourly solar radiation and the curved roofing of fabric membrane structure industrial storage building. Therefore, a solar radiation heat transfer model was established using MATLAB program. In this article, the different directions hourly heat gained of an actual membrane structures storage building located at Wuhan in China was calculated. The calculation results of solar radiation heat gained between the grid generation method with MATLAB and the projection method were compared. Tree aging is a new research area and has attracted research interest in recent years. Trees show extraordinary longevity; Platycladus orientalis L. (Cupressaceae) has a lifespan of thousands of years. Ancient trees are precious historical heritage and scientific research materials. However, tree aging and tree senescence have different definitions and are poorly understood. Since leaves are the most sensitive organ of a tree, we studied the structural response of leaves to tree age. Experiments investigating the leaf morphological structure, anatomical structure and ultrastructure were conducted in healthy P. orientalis at three different ages (ancient trees >2,000 years, 200 years < middle-aged trees <500 years, young trees <50 years) at the world’s largest planted pure forest in the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, Shaanxi Province, China. Interestingly, tree age did not significantly impact leaf cellular structure. Ancient P. orientalis trees in forests older than 2,000 years still have very strong vitality, and their leaves still maintained a perfect anatomical structure and ultrastructure. Our observations provide new evidence for the unique pattern of tree aging, especially healthy aging. We isolated a New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase 5 (NDM-5)-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae sequence type (ST) 258 strain in southwest China during 2017. Platycladus orientalis L. (Cupressaceae) has a lifespan of thousands of years. Ancient trees have very high scientific, economic and cultural values. The senescence of ancient trees is a new research area but is poorly understood. Leaves are the primary and the most sensitive organ of a tree. To understand leaf structural response to tree senescence in ancient trees, experiments investigating the morphology, anatomy and ultrastructure were conducted with one-year leaves of ancient P. orientalis (ancient tree >2,000 years) at three different tree senescent levels (healthy, sub-healthy and senescent) at the world's largest planted pure forest in the Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor, Shaanxi Province, China. Observations showed that leaf structure significantly changed with the senescence of trees. The chloroplast, mitochondria, vacuole and cell wall of mesophyll cells were the most significant markers of cellular ultrastructure during tree senescence. Leaf ultrastructure clearly reflected the senescence degree of ancient trees, confirming the visual evaluation from above-ground parts of trees. Understanding the relationships between leaf structure and tree senescence can support decision makers in planning the protection of ancient trees more promptly and effectively by adopting the timely rejuvenation techniques before the whole tree irreversibly recesses.
