Family environment, emotion regulation and biological sensitivity have been shown to be associated with adolescents' externalizing problem behaviours. However, findings regarding respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) reactivity are mixed and sometimes contradictory. This study aims to clarify the roles of RSA reactivity and anger regulation in the relationship between negative family expressiveness (NFE) and adolescents' externalizing behaviour by measuring RSA reactivity during the Parent–Adolescent Interaction Task (PAIT), designed to simulate a naturalistic negative family environment. In this study, 125 Chinese adolescents (M = 13.95 years, SD = 0.95; 48% male) completed questionnaires assessing negative family expressiveness, anger regulation and externalizing problems. Additionally, we collected electrocardiogram and respiration data during both the resting period and a 10‐min PAIT. Results showed that anger regulation mediated the relationship between NFE and externalizing problem behaviours. Moreover, adolescents' RSA reactivity moderated this mediation effect, even after controlling for baseline RSA. Greater RSA suppression potentially indicated greater susceptibility, with the relationship between NFE and anger regulation being more pronounced in adolescents with greater RSA suppression compared to those with lesser RSA suppression. These findings highlight the importance of considering physiological systems, especially within the context of adverse family environments, when studying the relationships with externalizing problems. Background: This study explored risk perception characteristics and influencing factors among informal caregivers of functionally dependent elderly individuals at home, aiming to improve caregivers' caregiving risk perception and coping abilities and ultimately enhance the quality of life for these individuals. Methods: We used purposive sampling to select 22 informal caregivers from a community in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, China, between March and September 2023 and conducted face-to-face semi-structured in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's seven-step analysis method. Results: We extracted two themes, caregiving risk perception characteristics and caregiving risk perception associated factors, and eight sub-themes, perceived risk possibility, perceived risk anticipation, perceived severity of consequences, past caregiving experiences, health literacy, psychological status, caregiving burden, and family social support. Conclusion: There were differences in how informal caregivers perceived the risks associated with caring for functionally dependent elderly individuals at home, which various factors could influence. It was essential to provide training that covered the knowledge and skills needed for caregiving, improve caregivers' awareness of safety risks, and establish a correct perception of caregiving risks. The government must construct and refine a comprehensive framework for caregiver respite services. Simultaneously, healthcare professionals should proactively undertake health education endeavors to augment the recognition of care safety risks among informal caregivers, thereby cultivating an accurate awareness of care risk perception. Background Endovascular therapy administered within 24 hours has been shown to improve outcomes for patients with acute ischemic stroke with large infarction, but the data on its cost-effectiveness are limited. Objective To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke with large infarction in China, the largest low- and middle-income country. Methods A short-term decision tree model and a long-term Markov model were used to analyze the cost-effectiveness of endovascular therapy for patients with acute ischemic stroke with large infarction. Outcomes, transition probability, and cost data were obtained from a recent clinical trial and published literature. The benefit of endovascular therapy was assessed by the cost per quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs) gained in the short and long term. Deterministic one-way and probabilistic sensitivity analyses were performed to assess the robustness of the results. Results Compared with medical management alone, endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke with large infarction was found to be cost-effective from the fourth year onward and during a lifetime. In the long term, endovascular therapy yielded a lifetime gain of 1.33 QALYs at an additional cost of ¥73 900 (US$ 11 400), resulting in an incremental cost of ¥55 500 (US$ 8530) per QALY gained. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis showed that endovascular therapy was cost-effective in 99.5% of the simulation runs at a willingness-to-pay threshold of ¥243 000 (3 x gross domestic product per capita of China in 2021) per QALY gained. Recently, rapid urbanization has contributed to an increasingly dominant trend of people congregating around river basins. As a result, significant changes in land use structure occur, leading to alterations in ecosystem structure and gradual degradation of ecological service functions. Using the DLB (Dianchi Lake Basin) in southwestern China as the research area, this essay analyzed its land use structure in 2020 and constructed an urban eco-resilience evaluation system based on the three dimensions of "resistibility, adaptability, and recuperability" derived from the eco-resilience theory. Meanwhile, the physical coupling model was used to calculate the coupling coordination degree of land use and eco-resilience in the area. Research shows: (1) the DLB is a complete and relatively independent ecosystem, with diverse land use types in the watershed, and the land use structure of the watershed is related to altitude and economic development; (2) the overall eco-resilience of the area has significant spatial differences in distribution. The eco-resilience of the lakeside built-up area is the lowest eco-resilience, and the regions with higher resilience are primarily those surrounding the lake or hills. (3) According to the coupling coordination degree model, the calculated coupling degree of land use and eco-resilience is 0.49, and the coordination degree is 0.38, indicating early stages of the coupling coordination progress. This paper developed a comprehensive evaluation model of land use and river basin eco-resilience, and studied the coupling relationship between the two. Background: The quality of transitional care is closely related to the health outcomes of patients, and understanding the status of transitional care for patients is crucial to improving the health outcomes of patients. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the quality of transitional care in elderly patients with chronic diseases and analyze its influencing factors, to provide a basis for improving transitional care services. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. We used the Chinese version of the Partners at Care Transitions Measure (PACT-M) to survey patients with chronic diseases aged 60 years and older who were about to be discharged from five tertiary hospitals in Henan and Shanxi provinces. We used the mean ± standard deviation to describe the quality of transitional care, t-test or one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis to explore the factors affecting the quality of transitional care for patients. Results: 182 elderly patients with chronic diseases aged ≥ 60 years completed the PACT-M survey. The scores of PACT-M1 and PACT-M2 were (30.69 ± 7.87) and (25.59 ± 7.14) points, respectively. The results of the t-test or one-way ANOVA showed that the patient's marital status, ethnicity, religion, educational level, preretirement occupation, residence, household income per month, and living situation had an impact on the quality of transitional care for elderly patients with chronic diseases (P < 0.05). The results of regression analyses showed that patients' preretirement occupation, social support, and health status were the main influences on the quality of transitional care for elderly patients with chronic diseases (P < 0.05), and they explained 63.1% of the total variance. Conclusions: The quality of transitional care for older patients with chronic illnesses during the transition from hospital to home needs further improvement. Factors affecting the quality of transitional care included patients' pre-retirement occupation, social support, and health status. We can improve the hospital-community-family tertiary linkage service to provide coordinated and continuous transitional care for patients based on their occupation, health status, and social support to enhance the quality of transitional care and the patient's health. This study examines the spatio-temporal characteristics of heavy precipitation forecasts in eastern China from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) using the time-domain version of the Method for Object-based Diagnostic Evaluation (MODE-TD). A total of 23 heavy rainfall cases occurring between 2018 and 2021 are selected for analysis. Using Typhoon "Rumbia" as a case study, the paper illustrates how the MODE-TD method assesses the overall simulation capability of models for the life history of precipitation systems. The results of multiple tests with different parameter configurations reveal that the model underestimates the number of objects' forecasted precipitation tracks, particularly at smaller radii. Additionally, the analysis based on centroid offset and area ratio tests for different classified precipitation objects indicates that the model performs better in predicting large-area, fast-moving, and longlifespan precipitation objects. Conversely, it tends to have less accurate predictions for small-area, slow-moving, and shortlifespan precipitation objects. In terms of temporal characteristics, the model overestimates the forecasted movement speed for precipitation objects with small-area, slow movement, or both long and short lifespans while underestimating it for precipitation with fast movement. Background: The incidence of acute ischemic stroke caused by large vessel occlusion is relatively infrequent in the young adult population. We sought to evaluate their clinical outcomes after endovascular treatment (EVT) and stroke etiology compared with older patients. Methods: We examined data from the ANGEL-ACT registry, a nationwide study in China focusing on EVT for acute ischemic stroke. We compared two age groups: <50 years old and ≥50 years old. Our analysis focused on outcome measures such as the 90-daymodified Rankin Scale (mRS) score, mortality, and symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH). We adjusted for confounding variables. Results: We included 1,691 patients, and 216 patients (13%) were <50 years old. Young patients had lower median National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores (14 vs. 17, P < 0.001) and fewer cardiovascular comorbidities than older patients. Underlying intracranial atherosclerosis disease (ICAD) was higher in young patients (39.4 vs. 28.7%, P = 0.001). Clinical outcome was less favorable in older compared to younger patients (mRS shift: 0.76 [95% confidence interval (CI), 0.58-0.99]); functional independence [mRS score 0-2] 61% vs. 39% (adjusted odds ratio (OR), 0.7 [95% CI, 0.51-0.97]). Mortality and sICH did not differ between groups. Onset to puncture time (OTP) was longer in young patients (357min vs. 294min, P = 0.001). Conclusion: An estimated 13% of patients who underwent endovascular thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke were <50 years old. Symptomatic underlying ICAD was more prevalent in the younger patient population. Despite a prehospital delay, younger patients exhibited more favorable outcomes than their older counterparts. Background: Controversy exists regarding the need of advanced imaging for patient selection in the extended window. Aims: To analyze the effect of initial imaging modalities on clinical outcomes of patients underwent MT in the extended window. Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of a prospective registry, the Endovascular Treatment Key Technique and Emergency Workflow Improvement of Acute Ischemic Stroke (ANGEL-ACT) registry which was conducted at 111 hospitals between November 2017 and March 2019 in China. Primary study cohort and Guideline like cohort were identified, in each cohort, two imaging modalities for patient selection in 6 to 24 h window were defined: (1) NCCT ± CTA, (2) MRI. Guideline-like cohort were further screened based on key features of the DAWN and DEFUSE 3 trials. The primary outcome was 90 day mRS. The safety outcomes were sICH, any ICH and 90-day mortality. Results: After adjusting for covariates, there were no significant differences in 90 day mRS or any safety outcomes between two imaging modalities groups in both cohorts. All outcome measures of mixed-effects logistic regression model were consistent with propensity score matching model. Conclusion: Our results indicate that patients presented with anterior large vessel occlusion in the extended time window can potentially benefit from MT even in the absence of MRI selection. The development of heavy oil reservoirs in China is of great significance to safeguard national energy security, but great challenges are faced due to the complex and heterogeneous reservoir properties. Inter-well connectivity analysis is critical to enhancing the development performance, as it is a good way to interpret fluid flow and provides a theoretical basis for injection-production optimization. Data-driven deep learning methods have been widely used in reservoir development and can be employed to develop surrogate models of injection and production and to infer inter-well connectivity. In this study, the model performance of a recurrent neural network (RNN) and its four variants were evaluated and compared in a temporal production prediction. The comparison results showed that bidirectional gated recurrent unit (Bi-GRU) is the optimal algorithm with the highest accuracy of 0.94. A surrogate model was established to simulate the inter-well connectivity of steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) in the research area by utilizing the Bi-GRU algorithm. A global sensitivity analysis method, Fourier amplitude sensitivity testing (FAST), was introduced and combined with the surrogate model to explain the influence of the input variables on the output variables by quantitatively calculating the sensitivity of each variable. Quantitative results for the inter-well connectivity of SAGD were derived from the sensitivity analysis of the proposed method, which was effectively applied to typical linear patterns and five-spot patterns. Inter-well connectivity varied from 0.1 to 0.58 in test applications, and mutual corroboration with previous geological knowledge can further determine the distribution of the interlayer in the reservoir. An ionospheric storm forecasting method was proposed using a deep learning algorithm, LSTM (long short‐term memory). We used the perturbation index to denote the level of an ionospheric storm, deduced from foF2 data, and helped to remove most of the local time and seasonal variations in the ionosphere. In constructing the model, a number of correlated factors were used as inputs, including the properties of coronal mass ejections, solar flare bursts, interplanetary conditions, and geomagnetic and ionospheric states, and the output was whether an ionospheric storm occurred locally in the next 24 hr. Data sets from 2007 to 2014 were used to train the model, and those from 2015 to 2016 were used for validation. The results showed that the model behaved well in most events. The mean precision rate, recall rate, accuracy, and F1 score of the model were 71.7%, 59.7%, 92.7%, and 65.0% in northern China and 78.9%, 56.3%, 96.3% and 65.0% in southern China, respectively. The LSTM forecasting model performed better than other models such as persistence, multiple‐layer perceptron and support vector machine models. Case studies also showed good performance during geomagnetic storms of different strengths. We believe that this model can be beneficial for functional ionospheric storm operation. Background Parenchymal hemorrhage (PH) is a troublesome complication after endovascular treatment (EVT). Objective To investigate the incidence, independent predictors, and clinical impact of PH after EVT in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (LVO). Methods Subjects were selected from the ANGEL-ACT Registry. PH was diagnosed according to the European Collaborative Acute Stroke Study classification. Logistic regression analyses were performed to determine the independent predictors of PH, as well as the association between PH and 90-day functional outcome assessed by modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score. Results Of the 1227 enrolled patients, 147 (12.0%) were diagnosed with PH within 12-36 hours after EVT. On multivariable analysis, low admission Alberta Stroke Program Early CT score (ASPECTS)(adjusted OR (aOR)=1.13, 95% CI 1.02 to 1.26, p=0.020), serum glucose >7 mmol/L (aOR=1.82, 95% CI 1.16 to 2.84, p=0.009), and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR; aOR=1.05, 95% CI 1.02 to 1.09, p=0.005) were associated with a high risk of PH, while underlying intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis (ICAS; aOR=0.42, 95% CI 0.22 to 0.81, p=0.009) and intracranial angioplasty/stenting (aOR=0.37, 95% CI 0.15 to 0.93, p=0.035) were associated with a low risk of PH. Furthermore, patients with PH were associated with a shift towards to worse functional outcome (mRS score 4 vs 3, adjusted common OR (acOR)=2.27, 95% CI 1.53 to 3.38, p<0.001). Conclusions In Chinese patients with AIS caused by anterior circulation LVO, the risk of PH was positively associated with low admission ASPECTS, serum glucose >7 mmol/L, and NLR, but negatively related to underlying ICAS and intracranial angioplasty/stenting. Simple Summary: PRRSV is one of the important pathogens that seriously affects the pig industry. Sichuan is a major pig breeding province in China and lacks long-term continuous surveillance of PRRSV infection in pigs. In this study, the prevalence of PRRSV in Sichuan was investigated based on a total of 539 samples of tissues, blood and aborted fetuses from 13 pig breeding areas in Sichuan. The genetic diversity of the virus currently circulating in Sichuan during 2012–2020 was studied by analyzing the genetic variation of Nsp2 and ORF5 genes. The detection results indicated that PRRSV was ubiquitous in the swine production in Sichuan, with 52.32% positive rate. Phylogenetic analysis of ORF5s showed that the PRRSV strains sequenced in this study belonged to PRRSV-1 and PRRSV-2 (lineage 1.5, 1.8, 3.5, 5.1 and 8.7). The data available in this study suggested that the genomes of prevalent PRRSV strains were complex and diverse. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is an important pathogen that poses a serious threat to the global pig industry. Sichuan Province is one of the largest pig breeding provinces in China. There is a lack of reports on the continuous surveillance and systematic analysis of prevalent strains of PRRSV in Sichuan Province in recent years. To fill this gap, a total of 539 samples were collected from 13 breeding regions in Sichuan during 2012–2020. The detection result showed that the positive rate of PRRSV was 52.32% (282/539). The ORF5s and Nsp2 were obtained and further analyzed, with Chinese reference strains downloaded from the GenBank. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the PRRSV strains sequenced in this study belonged to PRRSV-1 and PRRSV-2 (lineage 1, 3, 5 and 8). In total, 168 PRRSV-2 strains were selected for ORF5 analyses, and these strains were classified into sub-lineage 8.7 (HP-PRRSV), sub-lineage 5.1 (classical PRRSV), sub-lineage 1.8 (NADC30-like), sub-lineage 1.5 (NADC34-like) and sub-lineage 3.5 (QYYZ-like), accounting for 60.71% (102/168), 11.31% (19/168), 18.45% (31/168), 2.97% (5/168) and 6.55% (11/168) of the total analyzed strains, respectively. The Nsp2 of identified PRRSV strains exhibited a nucleotide identity of 44.5–100%, and an amino acid identity of 46.82–100%. The ORF5 of the identified PRRSV strains exhibited a nucleotide identity of 81.3–100%, and an amino acid identity of 78.5–100%. A sequence analysis of ORF5 revealed that the mutation sites of GP5 were mainly concentrated in HVR1 and HVR2 and the virulence sites. In summary, the HP-PRRSV, NADC30-like PRRSV, Classic-PRRSV, QYYZ-like PRRSV, NADC34-like PRRSV and PRRSV-1 strains exist simultaneously in pigs in Sichuan. NADC30-like PRRSV was gradually becoming the most prevalent genotype currently in Sichuan province. This study suggested that PRRSV strains in Sichuan were undergoing genomic divergence. As the observation accuracy of parameters in the ionosphere cannot be directly checked, the comparison with other observations is the main way to evaluate the data quality of satellite measurements. Through the comparative analysis between the in situ electron density (Ne) observed by the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) and Ne at about 500 km altitude detected by Qujing Incoherent Scatter Radar (ISR), it was found that the pattern of CSES Ne is consistent with that of ISR Ne, and the correlation coefficient between the two sets of data is above 0.88 for different groups according to the magnitude. The value of CSES Ne is lower than that of ISR Ne, and the median value of the ratio for the difference between the conjugate data is 84.04%. Based on the comparison in the daytime between CSES Ne and ionosonde observations in China, it was found that the trend of the two datasets is mostly similar, and the correlation coefficient in some locations can reach up to 0.7. The distribution of CSES Ne and correlation coefficients at different latitudes show that the relationship is relatively better around the peak of the equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA). Objective To report the characteristics of cardiac involvement in a group of patients with mitochondrial encephalomyopathy with lactic academia and stroke-like episodes (MELAS). Methods A total of 113 patients with MELAS who were admitted to Peking University First Hospital from January 2010 to December 2019 were included. The type and severity of heart disease were judged by electrocardiogram (ECG) and echocardiography. Cardiac dysfunction and systolic function were assessed by New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Results All 113 patients were from 112 families, and the main genotype was m. 3243 A>G (81.42%, 92/113). ECG was performed in 113 cases, among which 14 (12.38%) had abnormal cardiac conduction, including 10 (8.85%) with pre-excitation syndrome, 3 (2.65%) with complete or incomplete right bundle branch block, and one (0.88%) with I° atrioventricular block. Echocardiography was performed in 70 cases, among which 18 (25.71%) had myocardial lesions, including 13 (18.57%) with myocardial damage and 5 (7.14%) with pulmonary hypertension (PH). Only one case had NYHA II with decreased left ventricular systolic function. In 32 patients with cardiac disease, only one patient presented cardiac symptoms in the 7th year of the course of disease. Conclusions MELAS patients may have various manifestations of cardiac involvement, including cardiomyopathy, heart failure, arrhythmia, and so on. Japanese iris (Iris japonica) is a popular perennial ornamental that originated in China; it has a long display period and remains green outdoors throughout the year. winter dormancy characteristics contribute greatly to the evergreenness of herbaceous perennials. Thus, it is crucial to explore the mechanism of winter dormancy in this evergreen herbaceous perennial. Here, we used the hybrid RNA-seq strategy including single-molecule real-time (SMRT) and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies to generate large-scale Full-length transcripts to examine the shoot apical meristems of Japanese iris. A total of 10.57 Gb clean data for SMRT and over 142 Gb clean data for NGS were generated. Using hybrid error correction, 58,654 full-length transcripts were acquired and comprehensively analysed, and their expression levels were validated by real-time qPCR. This is the first full-length RNA-seq study in the Iris genus; our results provide a valuable resource and improve understanding of RNA processing in this genus, for which little genomic information is available as yet. Hemodialysis patients are vulnerable to infectious diseases and frequent receipt of antimicrobial agents. The aim of this study was to describe the prevalence and characteristics of infections and antimicrobials use among hemodialysis outpatients. We utilized the dialysis event surveillance protocol developed by the National Healthcare Safety Network to conduct a prospective multicenter study in Anhui, China. A total of 41 dialysis centers involving 7393 outpatients were included. Fistula was the most common type of vascular access (85.3%), followed by tunneled central line (12.7%), and non-tunneled central line (1.2%). There were 118 dialysis events with an overall pooled events rate of 1.60 per 100 patient-months. Intravenous antimicrobial start, positive blood culture, and pus, redness, or increased swelling at the vascular access site were detected at rates of 0.91, 0.23, and 0.46 per 100 patient-months, respectively. The prevalence of dialysis events was commonly higher in patients with a central line, and lower in patients with a fistula. Hemodialysis outpatients also had the noteworthy risks of nonaccess infections. Older age, female gender, and having a central line were associated with the increased risk of dialysis events. Findings recommend that regular monitoring and improvement strategies are warranted in management of infections among hemodialysis outpatients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: This study was conducted to develop a Chinese version of the Baby Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (BEBQ) and to evaluate its reliability and validity. Methods: The Chinese version of the BEBQ was developed by translation and back‐translation of the original BEBQ, followed by revision according to experts on the most appropriate item content. Mothers of 300 infants aged <12 months were recruited for survey participation from the paediatric outpatient departments of two large general hospitals in Xi'an, China. Fifty of the mothers were selected randomly for retesting after 2 weeks. Face‐to‐face surveys included explanation of the process, administration of the Chinese version of the BEBQ with regard to the exclusive breast‐feeding period, and demographic data collection. The reliability, validity and discrimination of the questionnaire were evaluated through correlation coefficient calculation, factor analysis, parallel analysis and other methods. Results: The Chinese version of the BEBQ consists of 15 items in four dimensions (food responsiveness, enjoyment of food, slowness in eating and satiety responsiveness). The cumulative variance contribution rate was 58.4%, the Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.93, the Guttman split‐half reliability coefficient was 0.87 and the test–retest reliability coefficient was 0.75. The satiety responsiveness and food responsiveness scores differed significantly according to gestational age at birth, infant sex and average monthly weight gain (all P < 0.05). The enjoyment of food score differed significantly according to average monthly weight gain (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The Chinese version of the BEBQ showed good reliability and validity and can be used to evaluate infants' appetite through the assessment of eating behaviour. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Unmanned pavement construction is of great significance in China, and one of the most important issues is how to follow the designed path near the boundary of the pavement construction area to avoid curbs or railings. In this paper, we raise a simple yet effective controller, named the proportional-integral-radius and improved particle swarm optimization (PIR-IPSO) controller, for fast non-overshooting path-following control of an unmanned articulated vehicle (UAV). Firstly, UAV kinematics model is introduced and segmented UAV steering dynamics model is built through field experiments; then, the raw data collected by differential global positioning system (DGPS) is used to build the measurement error distribution model that simulates positioning errors. Next, line of sight (LOS) guidance law is introduced and the LOS initial parameter is assigned based on human driving behavior. Besides, the initial control parameters tuned by the Ziegler-Nichols (ZN) method are used as the initial iterative parameters of the PSO controller. An improved PSO fitness function is also designed to achieve fast non-overshoot control performance. Experiments show that compared with the PSO, ZN and ZN-PSO controller, the PIR-PSO-based controller has significantly less settling time and almost no overshoot in various UAV initial states. Furthermore, compared with other controllers, the proposed PIR-IPSO-based controller achieves precise non-overshoot control, relatively less settling time and centimeter-level positioning error in various initial deviations. Bovine ephemeral fever (BEF), caused by the bovine ephemeral fever virus (BEFV), is associated with an acute febrile infection in cattle and widespread in tropical and subtropical areas, leading to great economic losses to cattle and milk industry. However, no efficacious BEF vaccine is currently available in China. Herein, we generated a recombinant rabies virus (RABV) expressing BEFV glycoprotein (LBNSE‐BG), utilizing a reverse genetics system based on the recombinant rabies virus strain LBNSE. It was found that mice immunized with LBNSE‐BG produced robust neutralizing antibodies against both BEFV and RABV, and developed complete protection from lethal RABV challenge. Further studies showed that LBNSE‐BG activated more dendritic cells (DCs), B cells and T cells in immunized mice than the parent virus LBNSE. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that the recombinant LBNSE‐BG described here has the potential to be developed as a cost‐effective and efficacious bivalent vaccine for cattle use in endemic areas of BEF and rabies. The distribution, mineralization, and transformation of soil organic phosphorus (P) exhibits strong regional characteristics because of variations in climate and pear varieties in Yanbian apple–pear orchard. Soil samples were collected in 11, 25, 40, and 63-year-old apple-pear orchards, at the depths of 0–20 cm, 20–40 cm, and 40–60 cm. Soil aggregates were sieved using the dry sieving method, and the concentrations of organic P were determined using the improved Bowman-Cole method. Differences in organic P in soil aggregates were analyzed in respect to planting year, soil layer, and season. According to the results, with an increase in planting years, labile, moderately labile, moderately stable, highly stable, and total extracted organic P in soil aggregates increased and then decreased. The concentrations were the lowest in the 11-year-old orchard and the highest in the 25-year-old orchard. With an increase in soil layer depth, all the forms of organic P concentrations in soil aggregates decreased linearly, and there were significant differences among different levels. In addition, with shifting seasons from spring, summer, to autumn, the labile organic P concentrations in soil aggregates decreased gradually, and the moderately labile, highly stable, and total extracted organic P concentrations first increased and then decreased, while the moderately stable ones first decreased and then increased. All the forms of organic P concentrations in soil aggregates were the highest in the <0.25 mm aggregate size fraction, followed by the 0.25–0.5 mm fraction. The concentrations of total extracted organic P decreased with an increase in aggregate size fraction. According to the results, organic P is accumulated relatively easily in smaller aggregates, and moderately labile organic P was the major form of organic P in the apple-pear orchard soil, followed by highly stable organic P. Modulation heating of the ionosphere using high-power high-frequency (HF) radio waves can generate an extremely low frequency (ELF) radiation source in the ionosphere, such as amplitude-modulation (AM) heating of the auroral electrojet or using two HF radio waves to illuminate the same region of the ionosphere to form beat-wave (BW) modulation. We first present observations of ELF waves received on the China seismo-electromagnetic satellite (CSES) and on the ground simultaneously, which were excited in the European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association (EISCAT) modulation heating experiment carried out alternately in the AM and BW modes. When the CSES passed over the EISCAT heater, ELF waves excited in the AM and BW modes were received successfully by an electric field detector on board. The comparison of the received results between the satellite and the ground demonstrates that although the intensity of the ELF signals excited in the BW mode is far lower than that in the AM mode on the ground, the ratio of ELF wave intensities between the satellite and the ground in the BW mode is significantly larger than that in the AM mode. According to the experimental results, the propagation characteristics are simulated using the full-wave method when the ELF radiation sources are located in the D and F regions in the ionosphere. Unmanned pavement construction is of great significance in China, and the primary issue to be solved is how to identify the boundaries of the Pavement Construction Area (PCA). In this paper, we present a simple yet effective method, named the Bidirectional Sliding Window (BSW) method, for PCA boundary recognition. We first collected the latitude and longitude coordinates of the four vertices of straight quadrilaterals using the Global Positioning System—Real Time Kinematic (GPS-RTK) measurement principle for precise single-point positioning, analyzed single-point positioning accuracy, and determined the measurement error distribution models. Next, we took points at equal intervals along one straight line segment and two curved line segments with curvature radii of 70 m to 300 m, for simulation experiments. BSW was adopted to recognize the Possible Irrelevant Points (PIP) and Relevant Points (RP), which were used to identify PCA boundaries. Experiments show that when the proposed BSW algorithm is used and the single-point positioning accuracy is at the centimeter level, PCA boundary recognition for straight polygons reaches single-point positioning accuracy, and that for curved polygons reaches decimeter-level accuracy. 12Cr1MoV is a commonly used heat-resistant steel for the steam pipelines of subcritical power boilers in China. Usually, the girth weld joints are the weakest areas of the entire steam pipelines. In this work, a leakage failure of girth weld joint in a 12Cr1MoV steam pipe with about 10 years' service was analyzed. The crack is along the intercritical heat affected zone (ICHAZ) in the hoop direction, and the fracture completely duplicating the geometry of the fusion line. The microstructure had degraded seriously by carbides spheroidization. In the region of ICHAZ and FGHAZ (type IV zone), creep cavities were observed along the grain boundaries. These phenomena indicate the weld joint had suffered type IV creep cracking. The formation and accumulation of the cavities in type IV zone of the weld joint before cracking is a unique phenomenon of creep. Therefore, the proper NDT method and signal extraction with strong ability on cavities recognition should be the key points for detecting the creep damage in early stage. • Based on MODIS, three indicators (NDVI, TVDI and LST) were studied; • The correlation between above three indicators (NDVI, TVDI, and LST) and the wildfires was analyzed; • A fire danger index assessment method was proposed to analyze the short-term wildfire danger. • Case study in Xiangxi, China, was carried to provide a valuable reference for the wildfires prevention. Wildfire is a significant threat that can result in severe injuries and economic damage. Conducting wildfire danger assessments in specific areas is necessary to mitigate the negative consequences associated to them. A useful tool to achieve them is satellite remote sensing technology, which provides global observations of the earth surface and enables wildfire danger assessment, hotspot detection, and flame monitoring. Based on this, a fire danger index assessment method for short-term wildfires based on the Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) was proposed. The fire danger composite index (FDCI) could be obtained by using the Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI), Land Surface Temperature (LST), Temperature Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI), and forest vegetation types (VT). A fire danger rating and a fire danger map of wildfires can be developed, which could identify high and low danger areas. Additionally, it can be found that NDVI in Xiangxi was at a relatively high level, reflecting good vegetation conditions during 2014–2018. The study also showed that NDVI, TVDI, LST, and VT were key parameters affecting wildfire danger. Low FDCI values indicated a low wildfire danger and vice versa. Furthermore, a case study in Xiangxi was conducted in September 2018. The application shows that there is consistency between the actual high danger areas and the calculated high danger areas by this method. Urban ecological risk is one of the important factors that may restrict the social and economic development. Therefore, it is of great significance to carry out a comprehensive assessment of ecological risks so that an ecological risk prevention and control plan can be scientifically formulated. In this paper, a comprehensive ecological risk assessment indicator system of Xiamen was established based on local ecological properties and socioeconomic status. This indicator system covers seven indicators including air pollution, soil pollution, water pollution, fresh water consumption, change in land use, occupation of key zones with ecological functions, and road network expansion. Based on this indicator system and in conjunction with the single factor assessment of ecological risks, this study constructed a model of comprehensive ecological risk assessment and forecasted the comprehensive ecological risk of Xiamen in 2020. The results showed that the comprehensive ecological risk level of Xiamen in 2020 is medium and the main stressors are the discharge of air and water pollutants. From the perspective of risk receptors, i.e. the ecosystem services, the risk posed to the ecosystem services associated to the maintenance of air quality and water purification is the highest. Therefore, this study proposed the recommendations on ecological risk prevention and regulation in Xiamen based on the comprehensive assessment of ecological risks, in the hope to provide scientific support for local ecological protection and sustainable development. This study aims to investigate the effect of Chinese diet pattern of fat content (30% or 36.06%), n-6/n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) ratio (5 : 1 or 9 : 1), and cholesterol content (0.04 or 0.057 g/kg total diet) on lipid profile using a rat model. Results showed that rats’ body weights (BWs) were controlled by the simultaneous intakes of cholesterol level of 0.04 g/kg total diet and n-6/n-3 ratio of 5 : 1. In addition, under high-fat diet, increased cholesterol feeding led to increased total cholesterol (TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and decreased triacylglycerols (TG) in rats’ plasma. However, high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) level and the ratios of HDL-C/LDL-C and HDL-C/TC in rats’ plasma increased in response to simultaneous intakes of low n-6/n-3 ratio (5 : 1) and cholesterol (0.04 g/kg total diet) even under high-fat diet. Moreover, as the n-6/n-3 PUFA ratio in the diet decreased, the proportion of n-3 PUFAs increased in plasma, liver, and muscle and resulted in the decrease of n-6/n-3 PUFA ratio. Public institutions play a prominent role in energy conservation efforts, not only by effectively promoting the application of new energy-saving technologies and products, but also by serving as an example to society. In this study, we established a system for evaluating energy management performance based on energy consumption of the People's Bank of China from 2011 to 2014. The decision-making unit was divided into four climatic regions, and the pure technical efficiencies of 336 branches of the People's Bank of China were obtained using data envelopment analysis, which somewhat overcomes the shortcomings of traditional methods for evaluating energy management performance. In addition, we used exploratory spatial analysis to reveal the spatial-temporal evolution, spatial patterns, and spatial agglomeration characteristics of energy consumption. The number of branches with optimal energy efficiency was the highest in the moderate climate region and lowest in cold regions. The performance of each branch was influenced by that of surrounding branches, and branches with high–high agglomeration mainly were located in the northwest and the northeast of China. Sustainable development in cities, as a new concept proposed after the construction of global industrial cities, makes up for the shortages and defects of industrial city development theory and provides new theories and methods for the sound development of cities. The work reported here, based on research into sustainable development in cities in China and abroad, puts forward a linear dimensionless coordinate system of urban sustainable development to evaluate 287 cities in the eastern, central, and western regions in China to research. We used the linear dimensionless analysis method to conduct a quantitative analysis of the main influencing factors of sustainable development in cities. According to the areas of the coordinate system of sustainable development in cities in which social, economic, and environmental benefits were located and urban ecological costs were measured, we found that sustainable development in cities was divided into cities of sustainable development, cities of moderately sustainable development, and cities of unsustainable development. According to the study, most cities in mainland China are developing sustainably and the level of sustainable development in cities is increasing. Almost all cities in the central region are developing sustainably, and most of the western and eastern cities are developing sustainably. A small number of cities are lagging in terms of sustainable development and a few eastern cities are developing unsustainably. Sustainable development in cities in the eastern region started early and the level of sustainable development there has been good. Sustainable development in cities in the western region started late and the state of sustainable development there has been poor. Fugitive volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from the petroleum-refining industry constitute a complex issue in China. This problem has a wide range of implications that require comprehensive measures, including a series of critical policing and legal injunctions in response to regional atmospheric pollution and the resulting safety hazards. In particular, process-based leak detection and repair (LDAR) surveys commonly used in developed countries should be vigorously promoted for fugitive VOC emission reduction. In this study, a campaign was conducted to measure the effectiveness of LDAR surveys by quantifying fugitive VOC emissions caused by equipment leaks in a local petroleum refinery in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region of China. The leakage points detected in the initial survey accounted for 0.63 % of all the components within the refinery, among which open-ended pipes and valve packing had the highest ratio. After the procedure, the leakage rate was reduced to 0.23 %, suggesting a satisfactory repair performance. The process-based fugitive emission characteristics of each refining unit, storage tank, and loading area were investigated, and the corresponding composite profiles were estimated using the correlation equation method and data from the LDAR survey. Results demonstrated that the total emission of the refinery was 12,595.83 kg/a, with dominant VOC species of alkanes being emitted in nearly all units. Finally, the secondary organic aerosol formation potential (SOAP) and ozone formation potential (OFP) were estimated. All the above results were process-oriented and demonstrated that establishing a local LDAR system that considers the differences in VOC emissions from various manufacturing facilities should be the key strategy for future VOC emission reduction from the entire petroleum refining industry in China. Porcine circovirus 4 (PCV4), a novel porcine circovirus identified in pigs, has recently been proved to be pathogenic to piglets. However, little is known about its cross-species transmission, and demonstration of PCV4 in dairy cows is lacking. To explore whether the PCV4 genome exists in dairy cows, 1170 fecal samples were collected from dairy farms in 7 cities in Henan Province of China during 2012–2021, and screened by qPCR for the presence of PCVs (PCV2-PCV4). The detection results showed that the positive rate of PCV4 in dairy cows was 2.22 % (26/1170), but all fecal samples were negative for PCV2 and PCV3. Three full-length and five partial genomes of PCV4 strains were acquired, of which two PCV4 strains (NY2012-DC and XC2013-DC) were achieved from 2012 and 2013, indicating that PCV4 has been circulating in dairy cows in Henan Province of China for at least 10 years. The three PCV4 strains sequenced in this study shared high identity (97.5–99.5 %) with reference strains at the genome level. In phylogenetic analysis, three genotypes (PCV4a, PCV4b and PCV4c) were temporarily confirmed by analyzing 44 strains, and one amino acid variation in Rep (V239L) and three amino acid variations in Cap (N27S, R28G and M212L) were considered as a conserved genotype specific molecular marker. Analyzed from three perspectives (cross-time, cross-species and transboundary), the high nucleotide homology of PCV4 strains indicated the PCV4 evolutionary rate might be slow. Purpose -- The purpose of this paper is to combine multidimensional welfare analysis and entropy metrics to derive not only the best relative weights but also substitution degree among different attributes to construct multidimensional indices of well-being with Chinese Household Income Project Survey 2002 data. Design/methodology/approach -- The authors follow Maasoumi's two-step measures of multivariate inequality to calculate the inequality for three social groups in China, urban residents, migrants, and rural residents. The two-step approach provides an aggregation formula which is numerically identified in this paper based on a metric entropy distance measure between the distribution of the aggregate well-being functions, on the one hand, and the distribution of the self-reported "happiness" indicator. The authors compare the differences in relative weights and substitution degree for the three groups, and link them to some institutional factors. Findings -- The authors find that incorporating substitution among attributes, and taking into consideration group heterogeneity are very important in multidimensional analysis of well-being. The chemical characteristics of Ordovician formation water and its relationship with hydrocarbons in the Halahatang depression (Tabei Uplift, Tarim Basin, NW China) were analyzed on the basis of the detailed formation water test data. The formation water in the Halahatang depression can be characterized as CaCl2 type with high total dissolved solids (TDS) generally. The TDS concentration has a weak negative relationship with the depth, and is above 200 g/L in the North Region (north of the pinch-out line), then gradually decreases to the south, but is still greater than 50 g/L. The ion-proportionality coefficients of formation water, including the sodium-chlorine coefficient, desulfurization coefficient and metamorphic coefficient, reflect that the present strata are well sealed and had once experienced strong water-rock interactions. Furthermore, the source and evolution of the formation water presents a closed relationship with the hydrocarbon accumulation. The meteoric source of the formation water indicates the denuding by the Ordovician formation and the damage from the previous oil and gas reservoirs. The reservoir quality was also improved due to the strong karstification during the denudation, which was beneficial for hydrocarbon accumulation. The distribution of the TDS concentration is controlled by the caprock (Sangtamu Formation) and the high salinity fluids from overlying strata and adjacent regions. A geological model was established, the high salinity fluids penetrated the Ordovician strata resulting in the TDS increases in the northern part. Whereas, the South Region (south of the pinch-out line) was less affected due to the shielding layer of the O3s. The favorable preservation conditions reflected by the high TDS and ion-proportionality coefficients correspond to the stable subsidence of strata since the Triassic era, the oil and gas reservoirs formed in the Himalayan can be preserved. Abstract: Earthquake prediction stimulates the searches for a correlation between seismic activity and ionospheric anomalies. Contrary to common focuses on strong earthquakes, we report the ionospheric disturbances, 2days before a moderate Ms=4.7 Chongqing earthquake (29.4°N, 105.5°E, depth=7.0km, occurred at 21:21LT, 10 September, 2010) with the data of ground-based ionosondes and IGS receivers. The data covering the period under the quiet geomagnetic conditions and a geomagnetic storm was analyzed with upper and lower bounds. It is found that there were significant enhancements of foF2 and total electron content (TEC) on the afternoon of 8 September, 2010, with a limited area close to the epicentre, which was different from the feature of ionospheric perturbations triggered by the geomagnetic storm on 15 September. Taking into account the heliogeomagnetical condition, we conclude that the observed ionospheric enhancements were very likely associated with the forthcoming moderate Chongqing earthquake, which implies that the relationship between the amplitudes of ionospheric disturbances and earthquakes is very complicated. Abstract: The seismo-ionospheric coupling is a hot topic of modern scientific research. One of the most reasonable mechanisms is the hypothesis of quasistatic electric field. With a preliminary analytical method, electric field in F2-region before Wenchuan earthquake was derived from the five lower latitude ground-based ionosondes: Lhasa (29.63°N, 91.17°E), Chongqing (29.50°N, 106.40°E), Kunming (25.00°N, 102.70°E), Guangzhou (23.15°N, 113.35°E) and Haikou (23.15°N, 110.35°E). The results show that there was an anomalous enhancement of electric field in F2-region close to the epicenter with maximal amplitude ∼2mV/m (about 10 times of the background) at 15:00LT on 9 May, which is in line with the amplitudes of anomalous electric field related to some previous earthquakes observed by satellites. • A SYBR Green I-based duplex qPCR assay was developed to detect PCV2 and PCV4 simultaneously. • Three PCV2 genotypes (PCV2a, PCV2b and PCV2d) existed in Henan province of China, and 6 PCV4 strains in this study belonged to PCV4a. • Eleven putative recombination events were found in newly emerging isolates of PCV2 in Henan province of China. • The functional regions of PCV4 strains were predicted by comparison with other circoviruses. Porcine circovirus 4 (PCV4) was identified as a novel porcine circovirus in China in 2019. To investigate the prevalence and genetic characteristics of PCV2 and PCV4, 133 clinical samples (103 tissue samples and 30 serum samples) were collected from 30 different pig farms in Henan province of China, and a SYBR Green I-based duplex quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction assay was established to detect PCV2 and PCV4 genomes simultaneously. The complete genome sequences of 20 PCV2 and 6 PCV4 strains from 19 and 6 clinical samples respectively were sequenced and analyzed. The results showed the detection limits of this assay were 80.2 copies/μL for PCV2 and 58.6 copies/μL for PCV4. The detection results of clinical samples revealed the PCV2 positive rate was 63.16% (84/133), the PCV4 positive rate was 33.33% (45/133), and the PCV2 and PCV4 co-infection positive rate was 21.05% (28/133). Among 20 PCV2 strains, 6 belonged to PCV2a, 6 belonged to PCV2b and 8 belonged to PCV2d. Co-infection with JZ1 (PCV2b) and JZ2 (PCV2d) strains was identified in one sample (JZ-1). Eleven putative recombination events were found through the recombination analysis, suggesting that the new PCV2 variant strains had circulated in Henan province, which contributes to our understanding of evolutionary characteristics of PCV2 in China. The possible genotypes of PCV4 strains were determined based on genomic sequences of 6 PCV4 strains in this study and 29 PCV4 reference strains available at GenBank. According to three different phylogenetic trees (ORF1, ORF2 and complete genome), all 35 PCV4 strains were clustered into two major genotypes (PCV4a and PCV4b), and 6 PCV4 strains in this study belonged to PCV4a. In particular, important breakthroughs have been achieved in terms of prospecting in the medium-sized Shuidegou gold deposit, located in the middle of the Mianlue belt. Here, we present the results of systematic tectonic and chronological analyses conducted on the Shuidegou gold deposit. The reconstructed zircon U–Pb chronologies of the ore-bearing altered rocks and of the ore-bearing vein demonstrated that the Shuidegou gold deposit formed at ~183 Ma and was further enriched at ~ 150 Ma. The macro- and micro-structures identified in deformed geologic bodies and quartz c-axis fabrics in the mining area suggest a division of the deformation sequence into four phases, corresponding to: (1) a Mid–Late Triassic collision and convergence of middle–deep deformation structures during the main orogenic period (D 1); (2) a Late Triassic–Early Jurassic collision and convergence during the late-stage thrust-nappe tectonic deformation (D 2); (3) a Mid–Late Mesozoic shallow strike-slip shear structure stage during intracontinental orogeny (D 3); (4) post-Cretaceous, shallow brittle thrust extrusion strike-slip structure (D 4). Based on the deformation and zircon U–Pb chronological features of the Shuidegou gold deposit, we believe that the main metallogenic age (~183 Ma) corresponds to the thrust-shear deformation stage (D2) and that it is genetically connected with magmatism. Notably, the late-stage further enrichment(~150 Ma) occurred in the sinistral strike-slip stage. Ore-bearing fluids may have been restricted by the far-field effect of the Pacific plate subduction along the eastern edge of East Asia. Based on the macro- and micro-deformation features, the chronological data relative to the key geologic bodies, and the regional geologic background, we subdivided the mineralizing process of the Shuidegou gold deposit is composed into three stages: (1) the formation of an ore-guiding channel, (2) the deposition and mineralization of ore-forming elements, and (3) a later further enrichment. The study of ore-controlling structure showed that the development of the Shuidegou gold deposit was mainly controlled by WNW- (E–W) and NNE-trending structures during the two metallogenic periods (~183 Ma and ~ 150 Ma, respectively). Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the causative agent of porcine circovirus-associated diseases (PCVAD), causing substantial economic losses to the swine industry worldwide. PCV3, as a recently discovered virus, is associated with porcine dermatitis, nephropathy syndrome, reproductive failure, congenital tremors, and other clinical symptoms. To further investigate the epidemic profile and genetic diversity of the two viruses, a total of 198 samples from swine at various growth stages suspected for PCVAD on 55 different pig farms between 2018 and 2020 were analyzed for presence of PCV2 and PCV3 by using a multiplex real-time PCR assay. Among the 198 samples, 113 (57.07%) and 72 (36.36%) were positive for PCV2 and PCV3 respectively, and 39 (19.7%) were positive for PCV2 and PCV3 co-infection. Subsequently, whole genome sequences of 34 PCV2 and 19 PCV3 strains were obtained from 30 and 19 clinical samples, respectively. Of these, 8 PCV2 strains belonged to PCV2a, 10 belonged to PCV2b and 16 belonged to PCV2d, indicating PCV2d was the predominant PCV2 genotype circulating in central China. Furthermore, co-infection of different PCV2 genotype strains was identified in three samples (JZ-4, KF-2 and JY-1), and a cross-recombination was found in the ORF2 region of the sequenced 13 PCV2d strains whose putative parental strains were LN6/1999 (MF278777) and MEX/41238/2014 (KT795287) strains. The phylogenetic analysis of PCV3 showed high nucleotide identity (>98%) among sequences obtained in this study and reference sequences. The introduction of herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) in low-latitude areas is of great significance to expand the landscape application of this world-famous ornamental. With the hazards of climate warming, warm winters occurs frequently, which makes many excellent northern herbaceous peony cultivars unable to meet their chilling requirements (CR) and leads to their poor growth and flowering in southern China. Exploring the endodormancy release mechanism of underground buds is crucial for improving low-CR cultivar screening and breeding. A systematic study was conducted on P. lactiflora 'Meiju', a screened cultivar with a typical low-CR trait introduced from northern China, at the morphological, physiological and molecular levels. The CR value of 'Meiju' was further verified as 677.5 CUs based on the UT model and morphological observation. As a kind of signal transducer, reactive oxygen species (ROS) released a signal to enter dormancy, which led to corresponding changes in carbohydrate and hormone metabolism in buds, thus promoting underground buds to acquire strong cold resistance and enter endodormancy. The expression of important genes related to ABA metabolism, such as NCED3, PP2C, CBF4 and ABF2, reached peaks at the critical stage of endodormancy release (9 January) and then decreased rapidly; the expression of the GA2ox8 gene related to GA synthesis increased significantly in the early stage of endodormancy release and decreased rapidly after the release of ecodormancy (23 January). Cytological observation showed that the period when the sugar and starch contents decreased and the ABA/GA ratio decreased was when 'Meiju' bud endodormancy was released. This study reveals the endodormancy regulation mechanism of 'Meiju' buds with the low-CR trait, which lays a theoretical foundation for breeding new herbaceous peony cultivars with the low-CR trait. Nanoscale pore structure characteristics and their main controlling factors are key elements affecting the gas storage capacity, permeability, and the accumulation mechanism of shale. A multidisciplinary analytical program was applied to quantify the pore structure of all sizes of Xiamaling shale from Zhangjiakou, Hebei. The result implies that Mercury injection porosimetry (MIP) and low-pressure N2 curves of the samples can be divided into three and four types, respectively, reflecting different connectivity performances. The maximum CO2 adsorbing capacity increases with increasing total organic carbon (TOC) content, pore volume (PV), and surface area (SA) of the micropores are distributed in a three-peak type. The full-scale pore structure distribution characteristics reveal the coexistence of multiple peaks with multiple dominant scales and bi-peak forms with mesopores and micropores. The porosity positively correlates with the TOC and quartz content, but negatively correlates with clay mineral content. Organic matter (OM) is the main contributor to micropore and mesopore development. Smectite and illite/smectite (I/S) assist the development of the PV and SA of pores with different size. Illite promotes the development of the nanoscale PV, but is detrimental to the development of the SA. Thermal maturity controls the evolution of pores with different size, and the evolution model for the TOC-normalized PVs of different diameter scales is established. Residual hydrocarbon is mainly accumulated in micropores sized 0.3 to 1.0 nm and mesopores sized 40 nm, 2 nm and less than 10 nm. Caregivers' feeding behavior plays a crucial role in the development of overweight and obesity in preschoolers. However, to date, there is no broadly accepted scale or questionnaire for assessing preschoolers' caregivers' feeding behavior in China. To develop a scale that can be used to assess preschoolers' caregivers' feeding behavior in China and to conduct a preliminary evaluation of the scale's reliability, validity, and discriminative ability. The scale was created through a literature review and qualitative interviews with the target population. Items were reviewed by 50 caregivers of preschoolers and 10 experienced pediatricians, and 95 items were selected to form a draft scale. The draft scale underwent three rounds of investigation, and the results from these evaluations were used to select items that formed the final scale. Three groups of caregivers (n=175, 400, and 912) were sampled and stratified from urban and suburban kindergartens in the cities of Jinan and Xi'an between March 2016 and October 2017 to participate in evaluations of the draft scale. From these caregiver groups, 146, 362, and 768 participants completed valid questionnaires, respectively, which were used in the scale's evaluation. The general demographic data of the participants and scores of each item in the scale were the primary outcome measures. Exploratory factor analysis and variability analysis were used to evaluate the draft scale, based on data from two rounds of investigation. The structure of the scale was explored through confirmatory factor analysis, and its reliability, construct validity, and discriminative ability were evaluated based on data from a third round of investigation. The Chinese Preschoolers' Caregivers' Feeding Behavior Scale (CPCFBS) consisted of 35 items and seven dimensions; the total cumulative variance contribution rate was 58.6%; the Cronbach's α coefficient was.91; the split-half reliability coefficient was 0.89; and the test–retest reliability coefficient was 0.85. The age and weight status of the children and the caregivers' age and education levels, as well as family incomes and child-caregiver relationships, were correlated with feeding behavior. The CPCFBS appeared to have good reliability and construct validity in specific Chinese populations. Community shared solar (CSS) program has great potentials in contributing to the complete decarbonization of the power sectors worldwide. Few research have focused on its potential diffusion from the user perspective. This paper fills the gap by conducting a survey-based unlabeled choice experiment in the Guangdong Province, China to investigate the determinants of potential users' willingness to participate in CSS programs. We analyzed the survey data using a random parameter logit model. Our results show that users are more likely to participate in CSS programs with lower upfront payment, trialability, shorter payback period, a public utility as provider and larger impact on climate change mitigation. However, they are likely to accept longer payback period in CSS programs with higher participation rate because of the potential benefit from interpersonal communication. Users' previous knowledge of CSS programs and income will also increase their willingness to participate in CSS programs with higher upfront payment. PCV2 is one of the most economically important viral agents in swine worldwide. Recently, PCV3 has been frequently reported, and the co-infection of PCV2 and PCV3 is common in China. In order to explore the distribution, epidemiology and genetic diversity of PCV2 and PCV3, a total of 1,760 clinical tissue samples were randomly collected from 18 different regions in Henan province of China from October 2018 to September 2019 and screened for the presence of PCV2 and PCV3 by a duplex real-time PCR assay. The results showed that the positive rates of PCV2 and PCV3 were 72.90% and 5.17% respectively, and the co-infection rate of the two viruses was 3.64%. PCV2 and PCV3 are prevalent all year round. The prevalence of PCV2 in diseased pigs was 83.98%, higher than that in slaughterhouse pigs, while the prevalence of PCV3 in diseased pigs was 2.16%, slightly lower than that in slaughterhouse pigs. Furthermore, the complete genomes of 14 PCV2 and 3 PCV3 strains were obtained, among which 1 belonged to PCV2a, 5 belonged to PCV2b and 8 belonged to PCV2d. A new variant strain (XX2) might escape the host immune system. The phylogenetic analysis of PCV3 showed high nucleotide identity (>98%) between sequences obtained in this study and reference sequences. Background: The objective of this study was to develop a scale to assess eating behaviors of school-aged children (6-12 years old) in China.Methods: To develop the scale, a literature review and qualitative interviews were conducted. The draft scale contained 115 items and went through three evaluations among three groups of caregivers (n = 140, 400, 700) selected from suburban and urban kindergartens in Xi'an, Hanzhong, and Yanan, China, from March 2017 to October 2018. The psychometric properties of the scale were assessed using exploratory, confirmatory factor analysis, and variability analysis.Results: The final scale consisted of 46 items across eight dimensions including food fussiness, satiety responsiveness, food responsiveness, bad eating habits, susceptible diet, restrained eating, enjoyment of food, and junk food addiction. The total cumulative variance contribution rate was 52.16%. The scale and dimensions' Cronbach's α coefficients, Guttman split-half reliability, and test- retest reliability were all above 0.65. The fitting indices for the confirmatory factor analysis were all close to 1. The scores for education of caregiver, family structure, and the body mass index of children were different among dimensions and groups, thus suggesting good discriminative utility.Conclusions: All of the results indicated that the scale has good reliability and construct validity for evaluating the eating behaviors of school-aged children in China. Abstract The spread-F echo of ionograms and scintillation of satellite signal propagation along the Earth-space path are two typical phenomena induced by ionospheric irregularities. In this study, we obtained spread-F data from HF (high frequency) digital ionosonde and scintillation index (S4) data from L-band and UHF receivers at low- and mid-latitudes in China during the 24th solar cycle. These four sites were located at Haikou (HK) (20°N, 110.34°E), Kunming (KM) (25.64°N, 103.72°E), Qingdao (QD) (36.24°N, 120.42°E), and Manzhouli (MZL) (49.56°N, 117.52°E). We used these data to investigate spread-F and scintillation occurrence percentages and variations with local time, season, latitude and solar activity. A comparative study of spread-F and scintillation occurrence rates has been made. The main conclusions are as follows: (a) FSF occurred mostly during post-midnight, while RSF and scintillation appeared mainly during pre-midnight at HK and KM; (b) FSF occurrence rates were larger at QD and MZL than expected; (c) the FSF occurrence percentages were anti-correlated with solar activity at HK and KM; meanwhile RSF and scintillation occurrence rates increased with the increase of solar activity at this two sites; (d) the highest FSF occurrence rates mostly appeared during the summer months, while RSF and scintillation occurred mostly in the equinoctial months at HK and KM; (e) the scintillation occurrence was usually associated with the appearance of RSF, probably due to a different physical mechanism comparing with FSF. Some of these results verified the conclusions of previous papers, whereas some show slight difference. Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin, northwest China, comprise the typical tight oil reservoirs, which have porosity less than 10% and permeability less than 1 mD. The western Jiyuan area (WJA), at the western margin of the Ordos Basin, has made significant progress in the tight oil exploration of the Yanchang Formation recently. Whereas the lack of recognition of tightening mechanism and process of reservoirs resulting in the misunderstanding of tight oil reservoirs prediction. This study focuses on the petrology, diagenetic processes, as well as forming mechanism and process of the Chang 8 (Ch-8) tight oil reservoirs located in the WJA. Four conclusions were reached. First, Ch-8 tight reservoirs, which are mainly composed of lithic arkose and feldspathic litharenite, experienced diagenesis, such as mechanical and chemical compaction, cementation, and dissolution. The reservoirs are at the late period of the mesogenetic A stage. Second, the tightness of the Ch-8 reservoirs is due to both sedimentary and diagenetic factors. The sedimentary environment where sand bodies are close to the provenance that has a rapidly increasing lacustrine level provides conditions for reservoir tightness. The initial porosity rapidly decreases due to compaction and cementation which produce porosity loss rates of 49.42% and 40.87%, respectively. By contrast, the effect of dissolution is limited, as it only increases porosity by 4.48%. Third, the tightening process of the Ch-8 reservoirs comprise four stages: compaction causes pores to reduce rapidly; followed by early cementation, which causes pores to reduce; dissolution, which causes pores to increase slightly; and late cementation, which causes tightness. Finally, it is likely that the Ch-8 reservoirs were already tight prior to hydrocarbon accumulation, thus demonstrating that they represent typical tight oil reservoirs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In addition to the organic-rich shale in the Chang 7 Member (Ch7 shale) of the Ordos Basin, the shale hosted in the Chang 9 Member (Ch9 shale) is another source rock and potential unconventional target. However, there is a general lack of consensus on the features and potential of the Ch9 shale. In order to determine the potential of the Ch9 shale, this study analyzes its paleoenvironment and sedimentary setting based on the integrated analysis of geochemistry and sedimentary facies. A comparison of geochemical features between the Ch9 shale and the organic-rich Ch7 shale is made to evaluate the factors controlling organic matter (OM) enrichment of the Ch9 shale. The results show that the Ch9 shale has good hydrocarbon potential, and terrestrial OM is important component of the OM in the Ch9 shale. The Ch9 shale was deposited in climatic transition period from cold and dry to warm and humid, when the water body was suboxic-anoxic and freshwater. The relatively cold and dry climate and suboxic-anoxic water condition in the Ch9 period could not provide the same excellent conditions for OM enrichment as that in the Ch7 period. The Ch9 shale is composed of sediments mixed with felsic rocks that originated from continental island arcs and active continental margins. The active tectonic setting resulted in event deposition (e.g. turbidity flows and hydrothermal fluid activity) during the deposition of Ch9 shale. The input of terrestrial OM carried by turbidity flows also promoted OM enrichment, however, the very high depositional rates caused by turbidity flows diluted the OM, which probably offset the effect of hydrothermal on OM enrichment. Our results are helpful to revealing the source potential of the Ch9 shale, providing a theoretical basis for the shale oil and gas exploration in the Ordos Basin. • The organic matter of the Ch9 shale was mainly sourced by terrigenous material. • The Ch9 shale was deposited in suboxic-anoxic and fresh water conditions. • Turbidites transported terrigenous organic matter, but also diluted it. • The enrichment conditions of the Ch9 shale is not as good as that of the Ch7 shale. • A new model for urban resilience considering adaptability, resistance and recovery was proposed. • Valid factual information during the Morakot was adopted to validate this model. • Critical parameters of the model such as damage intensity, experience coefficient etc. were studied. • Some optimal suggestions were provided to efficiently improve urban resilience. Due to the greater emphasis on cities' preparatory and recover ability for disaster, urban resilience is widely concerned, which is different from the traditional management mode of natural disaster and provides a new theoretical framework for urban security governance. In this paper, considering adaptability, resistance and recovery as the main characteristic factor of urban resilience, an urban resilience model was developed. This model could be used to simulate the resilience of a city under different disaster scenarios. Valid information was collected from Taiwan of China during the Morakot, and the urban resilience model was tested by the practical data, and then the resilience in Taiwan was analyzed by the constructed model. The results show that the model could reflect the resilience change of cities during disasters to some extent. Further, according to the disaster characteristics, five disaster scenarios were set to analyze various resilience characteristics. In addition, the critical parameters of the model were studied. We found that the greater intensity of disaster damage, the more serious damage of urban system function, and the earlier peak time of disaster damage intensity appears, the faster damage rate of urban system function will be. Furthermore, the larger coefficient of external disaster relief capability, the lower loss of urban system function and the better recovery capability. The higher coefficient of disaster experience, the richer the disaster response experience, the more perfect urban infrastructure of disaster response, and the smaller loss of urban system function. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) significantly impacts the global swine industry. Sichuan province, a key pig breeding center in China, has limited data on the molecular epidemiology of PRRS Virus (PRRSV). To address this, 1618 suspected PRRSV samples were collected from 2021 to 2023, with a prevalence rate of 39.74% (643/1618). Phylogenetic analysis showed PRRSV-2 as dominant (95.65%, 615/643), with PRRSV-1 at 4.35% (28/643). PRRSV-2 strains were further classified into NADC30-like (74.18%), NADC34-like (11.98%), C-PRRSV (5.44%), and HP-PRRSV (4.04%). The significant change in the proportions of different lineages indicates genomic divergence. NADC30-like strains exhibited significant amino acid mutations in ORF5, aiding immune evasion. Recombination analysis revealed complex patterns, primarily involving NADC30-like strains. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the primary causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide. The gut microbiome, particularly the bacteriome, has been demonstrated to contribute to the progression of COPD. However, the influence of gut virome on the pathogenesis of COPD is rarely studied. Recent advances in viral metagenomics have enabled the rapid discovery of its remarkable role in COPD. In this study, deep metagenomics sequencing of fecal virus-like particles and bacterial 16S rRNA sequencing was performed on 92 subjects from China to characterize alterations of the gut virome in COPD. Lower richness and diversity of the gut virome were observed in the COPD subjects compared with the healthy individuals. Sixty-four viral species, including Clostridium phage , Myoviridae sp., and Synechococcus phage , showed positive relationships with pulmonary ventilation functions and had markedly declined population in COPD subjects. Multiple viral functions, mainly involved in bacterial susceptibility and the interaction between bacteriophages and bacterial hosts, were significantly declined in COPD. In addition, COPD was characterized by weakened viral-bacterial interactions compared with those in the healthy cohort. The gut virome showed diagnostic performance with an area under the curve (AUC) of 88.7%, which indicates the potential diagnostic value of the gut virome for COPD. These results suggest that gut virome may play an important role in the development of COPD. The information can provide a reference for the future investigation of diagnosis, treatment, and in-depth mechanism research of COPD., Importance: Previous studies showed that the bacteriome plays an important role in the progression of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, little is known about the involvement of the gut virome in COPD. Our study explored the disease-specific virome signatures of patients with COPD. We found the diversity and compositions altered of the gut virome in COPD subjects compared with healthy individuals, especially those viral species positively correlated with pulmonary ventilation functions. Additionally, the declined bacterial susceptibility, the interaction between bacteriophages and bacterial hosts, and the weakened viral-bacterial interactions in COPD were observed. The findings also suggested the potential diagnostic value of the gut virome for COPD. The results highlight the significance of gut virome in COPD.
