With the energy structure transition and the development of the green power market, the role of electricity retailers in multi-market green power trading has become more and more important. Particularly in China, where aggressive green energy policies and rapid market transformations provide a distinct context for such studies, the challenges are pronounced. Under demand-side response, electricity retailers face the uncertainty of users' electricity consumption and incentives, which complicates decision-making processes. The purpose of this paper is to explore the optimization decision-making problem of multi-market green power trading for electricity retailers under demand-side response, with a special focus on the Chinese market due to its leadership in implementing substantial green energy initiatives and its potential to set precedents for global practices. We first construct a two-party benefit optimization model, which comprehensively considers the profit objectives for electricity retailers and utility maximization for users. Then, the model is solved by the Lagrange multiplier method and distributed subgradient algorithm to obtain the optimal solution. Finally, the effectiveness of the incentive optimization strategy under the multi-market to promote green power consumption and improve the profit of electricity retailers is verified by arithmetic simulation. The results of this study show that the incentive optimization strategy under multi-market, particularly within the Chinese context, is expected to provide a reference for electricity retailers to develop more flexible and effective trading strategies in the green power market and to contribute to the process of promoting green power consumption globally. [Display omitted] • Two stages of Cretaceous basalt erupted in the Jiurui district of the Yangtze Block. • The older basalts are Island arc basalt-like, forming from melts derived from an enriched lithospheric mantle. • The younger basalts are Oceanic island basalt-like, forming from melts derived from a depleted asthenospheric mantle. • The Cretaceous lithospheric mantle underneath the Yangtze Block was similar to EM I. The Cretaceous volcanic-sedimentary succession in the Jiurui district of the Yangtze Block contains basalts that are interlayered with fine clastic rocks, conglomerate and breccia strata. Here, we present data of whole-rock 40Ar–39Ar dating, major and trace elements, Sr–Nd–Pb isotopes, zircon U–Pb dating and Hf isotopes, and plagioclase trace element analyses to constrain the petrogenesis and tectonic background of these basaltic rocks,. Two episodic eruptions (ca. 126 Ma and ca. 91 Ma) are recognized, and the early basalts display evident enriched source characteristics such as high incompatible and low compatible elements, negative Nb, Ta, and Ti, slightly positive Pb anomaly, negative ε Nd (t) and ε Hf (t) values, higher (87Sr/86Sr) i , and high incompatible elements in plagioclase, indicating an island arc basalt-like nature. The younger basalts show low incompatible and high compatible elements, negative Rb, Pb, Nb, and Ta, positive Sr anomaly, positive ε Nd (t) values, lower (87Sr/86Sr) i , and low incompatible elements in the plagioclase, indicating an oceanic island basalt-like characteristic. The early ca. 126 Ma basalts were probably derived from a deeper and older enriched lithospheric mantle consisting of rutile-bearing garnet pyroxenite or eclogite, whereas the younger ca. 91 Ma basalts were derived from a shallower and younger depleted asthenospheric mantle constituting peridotite, with limited amounts of enriched lithospheric mantle component. The retreat and rollback of the paleo-Pacific slab and related lithospheric thinning and mantle composition transition processes probably occurred at ca. 126 Ma and ca. 91 Ma in this inland region of the Yangtze Block in northwestern Jiangxi province. Purpose. Bone metastasis in breast cancer remains globally concerned. Accurate survival estimation would be beneficial for clinical decision-making, especially for the patients with potential indications of surgery. Based on a retrospective cohort from China, the study aimed to construct a prognostic prediction nomogram for breast cancer patients with bone metastasis. Methods. Breast cancer patients with bone metastasis diagnosed between 2009 and 2017 in our department were retrospectively selected. The total cohort was divided into construction and validation cohorts (ratio 7 : 3). A nomogram was constructed to predict the probability of survival, and the performance of model was validated. Results. A total of 343 patients were enrolled with 243 and 100 patients in construction and validation cohorts, respectively. The median overall survival for the total cohort was 63.2 (95% CI: 52.4–74.0) months. Elevated ALP (HR = 1.71, 95% CI: 1.16–2.51; P = 0.006), no surgery for breast cancer (HR = 2.19, 95% CI: 1.30–3.70; P = 0.003), synchronous bone metastasis (HR = 1.98, 95% CI: 1.22–3.22; P = 0.006), and liver metastasis (HR = 1.68, 95% CI: 1.20–2.37; P = 0.003) were independent prognostic factors for worse survival. The independent predictors and other five factors (including age at diagnosis, ER status, PR status, Her-2 status, and the performance of bisphosphonate) were incorporated to construct the nomogram. The C-index was 0.714 (95% CI: 0.636–0.792) and 0.705 (95% CI: 0.705) in the construction cohort and validation cohort, respectively. All the calibration curves were close to the 45-degree line, which indicated satisfactory calibration. Conclusion. A retrospective study aiming at prognostic estimation of breast cancer patients with bone metastasis was designed. Four independent prognostic factors were identified and a prognostic nomogram was constructed with satisfactory discrimination and calibration. Swine erysipelas is a common infectious disease that affects the pig‐breeding industry. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the risk factors and their role in the prevalence of swine erysipelas so that one may be able to better prevent and control the swine erysipelas outbreaks in Northeast China. Using spatial clusters, the study area was divided into two parts: South Central Mainland China (hot spots) and Northeast Mainland China (potential outbreak areas). We investigated a total of 31 environmental factors and used the lasso regression and k‐fold cross‐validation methods to determine the main factors involved. Seven risk factors were determined to have a major impact on swine erysipelas. Multiple logistic regression was used to examine the contribution of these seven risk factors to the outbreak from 2008 to 2018, in the two research regions. In South Central Mainland China, where swine erysipelas was most prevalent, the extreme maximum temperature [OR = 1.143 (95%CI: 1.032–1.342)], total precipitation [OR = 2.298 (95%CI: 1.410–5.112)] and precipitation ≥0.1 mm [OR = 2.396 (95%CI: 1.329–5.941)] exhibited positive effects. The maximum wind speed [OR = 0.550 (95%CI: 0.303–0.775)] and concentration of O3‐8H‐90 per [OR = 0.876 (95%CI: 0.747–0.980)] exhibited negative effects. Summer was the main season for the erysipelas epidemic in South Central Mainland China. In Northeast China, only the total precipitation [OR = 1.048 (95%CI: 0.900–0.989)] was positively correlated with the prevalence of swine erysipelas, whereas the other factors were not significant. There was no obvious seasonal feature for the epidemic. Through the comparison and analysis of risk factors between the two research regions, more attention should be given to the impacts of high temperature and precipitation on the swine erysipelas epidemic in Northeast China. Cancer is a major public health issue in China, and effective anticancer drugs remain a huge unmet need. Generic drugs have long been the main products of pharmaceutical companies in China. In this decade, research on and development of innovative drugs has greatly advanced thanks to policy reforms and economic growth. Five innovative anticancer drugs - anlotinib, pyrotinib, fruquintinib, sintilimab, and toripalimab - that were developed by Chinese domestic pharmaceutical companies were approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China in 2018. Several novel anticancer drugs such as avitinib, flumatinib, zanubrutinib, and ensartinib may also receive approval for marketing in China in the near future. There are unprecedented opportunities for development of innovative drugs in China. Asian Americans became targets of increasingly hostile behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic. What motivated this? Fears of contagion arising from a behavioral immune system may have motivated hostility toward Asian Americans, especially among those Americans vulnerable to COVID-19. Additionally, stigmatizing rhetoric from right-wing figures may have legitimated anti-Asian behavior among those Americans who held stronger anti-Asian sentiments to begin with or who were more receptive to right-wing rhetoric. We explore these possibilities using a behavioral game with a representative sample of Americans at two points: in May and October 2020. Participants were partnered with a U.S.- or Chinese-born American in a give-or-take dictator game. The average American discriminated against Chinese-born Americans in May but not October 2020, when China was no longer a COVID-19 hotspot. But among Republicans, who may have held stronger anti-Asian sentiments to begin with and who were likely more receptive to right-wing rhetoric, discrimination—that is, differential treatment—was both stronger in May compared to non-Republicans and persisted into October 2020. Abstract: Large-scale Cu–Au mineralization is associated with the Late Mesozoic granitoids in the Jiurui district of the Middle–Lower Yangtze Mineralization Belt in Eastern China. To constrain the petrogenesis of these granitoids and coeval mafic rocks, a detailed geochemical and Sr–Nd–Pb–Hf isotopic study was performed. The Jiurui granitoids are made up primarily of granodiorite porphyry and quartz diorite porphyry. These granitoids are characterized by SiO2 and K2O contents of 58.8wt.% to 68.6wt.% and 1.9wt.% to 5.7wt.%, respectively. These granitoids show relatively high MgO contents (1.0wt.% to 3.1wt.%, average 2.1wt.%) and high Mg# values (39 to 70, average 54). The Jiurui granitoids are enriched in light rare earth elements (LREE), large ion lithophile elements (LILE), and compatible trace elements (Cr, Ni and V) but are relatively depleted in Nb, Ta, Y and Yb. These rocks show a negligible negative Eu anomaly (Eu/Eu⁎ =0.76–1.13, average 0.91) and nearly no negative Sr anomaly. The whole-rock initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios range from 0.7060 to 0.7092, and the εNd(t) values vary from −5.4 to −2.0. The granitoids show radiogenic Pb isotopic ratios with values of 206Pb/204Pb (17.93–18.21), 207Pb/204Pb (15.55–15.58), and 208Pb/204Pb (38.16–38.56) for the plagioclases. The zircon Hf isotopic compositions show εHf(t) values from −11.8 to 2.4. The coeval mafic rocks consist of lamprophyre, diabase and fine-grained mafic dyke. These rocks are characterized by SiO2 contents ranging from 47.6wt.% to 54.8wt.%, with a negative Eu anomaly and a positive to negative Sr anomaly. The whole-rock initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios range from 0.7059 to 0.7071, and the εNd(t) values vary from −3.8 to −1.4. By comparing the geochemical and isotopic compositions of the Jiurui granitoids and the coeval mafic rocks, we conclude that the granitoids are similar to adakites that were likely related to the delamination processes, and the coeval mafic rocks may have originated directly from enriched lithospheric mantle. The thickened lower continental crust and underlying enriched lithospheric mantle may have been simultaneously delaminated into the asthenospheric mantle. This process led to the partial melting of the thickened lower crust and the enriched lithospheric mantle, and the melts experienced an interaction with the asthenospheric mantle during ascension. Mafic melts could be generated from the enriched lithospheric mantle, which was heated by the upwelling asthenospheric mantle. The geochemical and isotopic compositions of mafic rocks were most likely controlled by the AFC process. A geochemical and isotopic comparison of the granitoids in the Jiurui district with those of two other districts (e.g., Angui and Tongling) in the same mineralization belt indicates that a significant crust–mantle interaction played a crucial role in their petrogeneses and metallogeneses. From the southwest to northeast in this metallogenic belt, the proportion of mantle component that was involved in the granitic magma shows a decreasing trend from the Jiurui to the Angui and Tongling districts. Conclusions: The long-term quality of life of adolescents with chronic rhinosinusitis improved significantly after functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), and endoscopic sinus surgery showed certain benefits for adolescent patients. The selection of appropriate patients may further improve the surgical outcomes and quality of life. Objective: To analyze the long-term quality of life in adolescents (12-18 years) with chronic rhinosinusitis after endoscopic sinus surgery, and to evaluate the value of endoscopic sinus surgery in adolescent patients. Methods: From 2003 to 2008, 729 adolescents with chronic sinusitis underwent endoscopic sinus surgery in our department; 270 of these patients were included in the study. Their quality of life was assessed before and within 3-8 years after the surgery using the SNOT-20 scale and was compared with that of healthy individuals of the same age. Results: The SNOT-20-based assessment showed that the overall quality of life differed significantly before and after surgery ( p = 0.000) and that some symptoms (dizziness, sense of facial oppression, sleep difficulty, embarrassment, and fatigue) had no significant differences before and after surgery ( p > 0.05). Preoperative and postoperative symptoms (dizziness, sense of facial oppression, sleep difficulty, embarrassment, and fatigue) showed no significant differences between the healthy population and treated patients ( p > 0.05). Abstract: Cyanobacterial blooms, forming massive scum and various cyanotoxins, increasingly spread in a wide range of freshwater ecosystems. One heavy Microcystis bloom occurred in the entire Qinhuai River basin in 2010 summer for the first time. To determine the Microcystis populations and their spatial distributions along Qinhuai River, a molecular approach was applied by sequencing the DNA library based on the internal transcribed spacer sequences of 16-23S rRNA (ITS). The parsimony network (TCS) analysis showed that 9 groups were formed based on the main 24 genotypes, and each group was dominated by one highly represented root sequence. Marked changes in the composition and proportion of the Microcystis ITS genotype were detected from the upper to the lower reaches. The seed sources forming the bloom were probably located at 4 different locations. Furthermore, it was found that pH was the primary factor affecting the spatial distribution of the main genotype group among samples. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Using data from China's population-based 2000 census, this ecological study examined the association between gender equity and women's contraceptive use in 30 provinces. Five province-level indicators of gender equity were used: sex ratio at birth, health, employment, education, and political participation. With the exception of sex ratio, all indices were comprised of several components. The indicators and components were grouped into tertiles. Generalized linear models were used to examine the associations between these indicators and contraceptive use. Provinces in the middle tertile of political participation had higher prevalence of contraceptive use than those in the lowest tertile (β = 0.27, 95% CI: 0.02–0.52, p < 0.034). Compared to regions in the lowest tertile, regions in the highest tertile of the proportion of females in provincial-level parties and government (β = 0.25, 95% CI: 0.04–0.46, p < 0.020) and middle tertile of female employment in all the economic activities except agriculture, industry and construction (β = 0.25, 95% CI: 0.04–0.46, p < 0.021) had a higher prevalence of contraceptive use. Regions in the middle tertile of female illiteracy (β = −0.25, 95% CI: −0.42–0.07, p < 0.006) had a lower prevalence of use of contraceptives than those in the lowest tertile. Genetic polymorphism is a difference in DNA sequence among individuals, groups, or populations that give rise to different forms. Differences in DNA sequences that occur naturally in a population. Single nucleotide substitutions, insertions and deletions of nucleotides and repetitive sequences (microsatellites) are all examples of polymorphism. The position at which such a sequence difference is found is a polymorphic site. A single nucleotide substitution is called a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). SNPs can occur in coding parts of the gene. If they result in genetic code change, amino-acid polymorphism would occur. The heterodimeric IFN-γ receptor ( IFNGR) complex was made up of two receptor subunits including IFNGR-1 and IFNGR-2. There exist five dbSNP alleles in IFNGR1 exon region and six dbSNP alleles in IFNGR2. Some researchers had found that the greatest risk of the development of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) be detected in the individuals who had the Met14/Val14 genotype or the combination of IFNGR1 Met14/Val14 genotype and IFNGR2 Gln64/Gln64 genotype in Japanese patients. So we aimed to assess the association between two polymorphisms within the IFNGR gene (A88G and A839G) and SLE in Chinese patients. This study included 154 patients with SLE and 159 unrelated healthy controls. We examined the IFNGR genotype by the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)-single-strand conformation polymorphism method, RT-PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism method and DNA sequencing. Genotype frequencies between SLE patients and controls were compared and relationship between genotype frequencies and clinical manifestations of SLE were evaluated. We found that IFNGR2 Arg64/Arg64 genotype decrease the risk of SLE (OR = 2.326, 95% CI 1.181–4.581, Fisher P = 0.015), and the same as IFNGR2 Arg64/Arg64 genotype and IFNGR1 Val14/Val14 genotype combination (OR = 2.420, 95% CI 1.206–4.854, Fisher P = 0.013). The allelic frequency of Val14/Met14 is significantly higher in the patients with oral ulcer or thrombocytopenia when compared with patient without these clinical feature (OR = 4.630, 95% CI 1.370–15.640, Fisher P = 0.021; or OR = 6.368, 95% CI 2.009–20.191, Fisher P = 0.003). On the contrary, the allelic frequency of Val14/Val14 is lower in the patients with oral ulcer or thrombocytopenia than those without these clinical feature (OR = 0.216, 95% CI 0.064–0.730, Fisher P = 0.021; or OR = 0.157, 95% CI 0.050–0.498, Fisher P = 0.003). And after data analysis, we also find that the allelic frequency of Gln64/Gln64 is lower in the patients with arthritis when compared with patient without arthritis (OR = 0.369, 95% CI 0.166–0.818, Fisher P = 0.017). We can conclude that the IFNGR polymorphisms (Val14Met and Gln64Arg) are protective in SLE in Chinese patients. The freshwater crayfish Procambarus clarkii is native to North America and Mexico, and it was introduced to China in 1929. The production and consumption of P. clarkii in China are the highest worldwide, reaching 208.96 million tons in 2020. The white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) is a major pathogen that affects shrimp, crayfish, crabs and lobsters, and it has caused widespread loss to the P. clarkii industry. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG), a small‐molecule compound, has a multitude of biological functions and the ability to bind to the 37 kDa/67 kDa laminin receptor (LamR). EGCG has potential antiviral effects against WSSV. In this study, we evaluated the potential anti‐WSSV applications of EGCG in P. clarkii. We demonstrated that various concentrations (10 μg/g·bw, 20 μg/g·bw and 40 μg/g·bw) of EGCG can suppress WSSV infection in P. clarkii. Histopathological examination revealed no characteristic pathological changes due to EGCG administration in P. clarkii tissues. Furthermore, pharmacokinetics studies of EGCG in P. clarkii revealed its rapid absorption (Tmax = 2 h), and the peak concentrations of EGCG were 73.78 µg/g in the liver and 24.87 µg/g in the muscle. In this work, the spatial and temporal sensitivities of the significant wave height (SWH) to ten key parameters in the SWAN model under typhoon conditions are assessed through comprehensive observations at four buoy stations along the eastern coast of China. Experiments were conducted using wind forcing based on Typhoon Chan-hom, which made landfall at Zhujiajian island in 2015. Assessments included wind input and whitecapping, bottom friction, depth-induced wave breaking, and nonlinear quadruplet wave interactions parameterizations. The results show that in shallow water whose depth is less than the threshold depth, depth-induced wave breaking dominates the SWH, and the SWH is most sensitive to the parameter gamma (the ratio of maximum individual wave height to depth) of depth-induced wave breaking. However, beyond a certain threshold depth, the sensitivity of the SWH to depth-induced wave breaking begins to reduce. This threshold depth depends on sea states and ranges from 5 m to 30 m. In deep water, where the water depth is more than the threshold depth, SWH is primarily influenced by wind input and whitecapping. In general, the sensitivity is greater in coastal areas than in the open ocean. With regard to sea state, the higher the sea state, the deeper the threshold depth. The four different numerical procedures of four-wave interactions (so-called quadruplets) mainly affect the distribution of wave energy, not the SWH. In addition, the SWH is most sensitive to the drag coefficient, and bigger wave implies greater sensitivity. Study Question: Can any new genetic factors responsible for early embryonic arrest in infertile patients be identified, together with the mechanism of pathogenic variants?Summary Answer: We identified three homozygous variants in the F-box protein 43 gene (FBXO43) in infertile patients and studies on the effects of the variants in HEK293T cells and mouse oocytes provided evidence for a causal relation between FBXO43 and female infertility.What Is Known Already: FBXO43, an inhibitor of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome, mediates Metaphase II arrest as a component of the cytostatic factor in oocytes. Both male and female Fbxo43 knockout mice are viable but sterile. FBXO43, therefore, appears to be an essential component of the mammalian cell-cycle machinery that regulates both male and female meiosis. Until now, only one article has reported a homozygous FBXO43 variant associated with teratozoospermia, but the causal relationship was not established with functional evidence.Study Design, Size, Duration: Whole-exome sequencing (WES) and homozygosity mapping were performed in 24 probands from consanguineous families who suffered from early embryonic arrest, and two different homozygous variants in FBXO43 were identified in two independent families. WES data from a further 950 infertile women with early embryonic arrest were screened for homozygous and compound heterozygous variants in FBXO43, and a third individual with an additional homozygous variant in FBXO43 was identified. The infertile patients presenting with early embryonic arrest were recruited from August 2016 to May 2020.Participants/materials, Setting, Methods: The women diagnosed with primary infertility were recruited from the reproduction centers of local hospitals. Genomic DNA samples from the affected individuals, their family members, and healthy controls were extracted from peripheral blood. The FBXO43 variants were identified using WES, homozygosity mapping, in silico analysis, and variant screening. All of the variants were confirmed by Sanger sequencing, and the effects of the variants were investigated in human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293T cells by western blotting and in mouse oocytes by complementary RNA injection.Main Results and the Role Of Chance: We identified three homozygous variants in FBXO43 (NM_001029860.4)-namely, c.1490_1497dup (p.(Glu500Serfs*2)), c.1747C>T (p.(Gln583*)), and c.154delG (p.(Asp52Thrfs*30))-in three independent families. All of the homozygous variants reduced the protein level of FBXO43 and reduced the level of its downstream target Cyclin B1 in HEK293T cells. The gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar, is among the most destructive quarantine pests of forests. Here, we reconstructed the genetic structure and determined the population differentiation of gypsy moths across its distribution range at different times. This information could be used to both improve the prevention and detection of gypsy moths in the field. Using 31 newly designed species-specific primers targeting fragments of 216–1102 bp, we identified 103 full-length cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene sequences from eight fresh samples and 95 L. dispar specimens collected between 1955 and 1996, mainly in China. Combining 103 full-length COI gene sequences with 146 COI gene sequences from Genbank or DNA barcode libraries, we analyzed the genetic differentiation, gene flow and haplotypes between gypsy moth populations in order to reflect the genetic structure and population dynamics of gypsy moths. We discovered 25 previously unknown haplotypes from old gypsy moth specimens. We found that the genetic diversity among gypsy moth populations (collected in the same region at different time points) was relatively high. Furthermore, the genetic structure of Chinese geographical populations (Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Beijing) in different years was distinct. Our results suggested that some gypsy moths in China showed the genetic affinity with European gypsy moths (a sub-species of gypsy moths found mainly in Europe). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Apodemus peninsulae, a dominant rodent species in temperature forests of northeastern China, is a model animal to explore the ecological functions of reciprocal coevolution of animals and plants. From August to October 2016, 24 infra-red cameras were installed to study the feeding behavior and activity patterns of A. peninsulae in its natural environment. By analyzing 5618 video records, we found that feeding behavior, followed by motor and sentinel behaviors, was their main activity. In the behavior spectra, motor behavior (creep, walk, and skip), feeding behavior (forage, feeding, transport, hoarding, and clean), and sentinel behavior (alert, flee, banishment, and coexistence) accounted for 57.96%, 40.36%, and 1.68% of their behavior, respectively. The peak of feeding behavior occurred between 18:00 and 23:00, and feeding behavior frequency, duration, and activity rhythms differ among August to October. Furthermore, activity was the greatest after sunset and before sunrise, indicating a nocturnal lifestyle; however, from August to October, the start time of the activity was earlier, and the end time was later than usual. On average, mice spent 21.6 ± 11.6 times/night feeding, with a duration of 63.58 ± 98.36 s; while they spent less time in foraging, 39.05 ± 51.63 s. We found a significant difference in feeding and foraging frequency, with mice spending on average 10.84 ± 9.85 times/night and 9.23 ± 11.17 times/night, respectively. Our results show that feeding and foraging behavior is also influenced by light intensity, suggesting a preference for crepuscular periods of the day. Infra-red cameras are very useful in detecting activity patterns of animals that are not easily observable; these cameras are able to capture a large amount of valuable information for research into ecological functions. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1783 adolescents (1464 girls and 318 boys) in the psychiatric outpatient clinics or wards of 14 psychiatric hospitals or general hospitals in nine provinces in China. Data were collected using the Multidimensional Peer Victimization Scale (MPVS), Short-form Childhood Trauma Questionnaire(CTQ-SF), and Functional Assessment of Self-Mutilation (FASM). Structural equation modeling (SEM) with latent variables was used to demonstrate the mediating role of peer victimization in the association between childhoodtrauma and NSSI. Results: The SEM analysis demonstrated that peer victimization plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between childhood trauma and NSSI. In addition, several covariates (such as age, gender, education level, and place of residence) effectively regulated the relationship between peer victimization and NSSI. The Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River metallogenic belt (MLYMB) is one of the most important Fe‐Cu polymetallic belts in China. However, the mechanism and deep geodynamical process for the formation of this belt are still controversial. Here, we obtain the crustal and the uppermost mantle structures using ambient noise data from a dense seismic profile. A low velocity zone is revealed beneath the Moho of MLYMB, interpreted as the source of the deep mineralization materials. In addition, a low velocity layer (LVL) and a high velocity layer (HVL) are observed in the crust of the southern segment of the profile. The LVL is interpreted as a tectonic detachment layer between the upper and the lower crust, and the HVL is interpreted as the aggregation zone for mineralizing melts or crystallized magma chambers. Based on the observed velocity features, we propose a three‐stage model for the formation of ore deposits in MLYMB. Our model suggests that an upwelling of asthenosphere triggered by the delamination of a previously thickened lithosphere leads to the partial melting of upper mantle rocks, which eventually ponders under the Moho. The magma then infiltrates through the ductile lower crust and reaches a depth of ∼7–13 km, forming a minerals‐enriched magma chamber. Minerals‐rich hot fluids originating from the magma chamber continue to move upward along the pre‐existent faults and the minerals finally precipitate in dense veinlets when reaching shallow depths, forming the ore deposits in and around the MLYMB. Background: Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor. The current study was conducted to describe the general condition of patients with primary osteosarcoma in a single cancer center in Tianjin, China and to investigate the associated factors in osteosarcoma patients with lung metastasis. Methods: From February 2009 to October 2020, patients from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, China were retrospectively analyzed. The Kaplan–Meier method was used to evaluate the overall survival of osteosarcoma patients. The Cox proportional hazard regression analysis was performed to analyze the prognostic factors of all osteosarcoma patients and those patients with lung metastasis, respectively. Furthermore, risk factors for developing lung metastasis were identified in synchronous lung metastasis (SLM) and metachronous lung metastasis (MLM) patients. Results: A total of 203 patients were involved and 150 patients were successfully followed up for survival status. The 5-year survival rate of osteosarcoma was 70.0% and the survival months for patients with SLM and MLM were 33.3 ± 12.6 and 45.8 ± 7.4 months, respectively. The presence of lung metastasis was one of the independent prognostic factors for prognosis of osteosarcoma. In patients with lung metastasis, twenty-one (10.3%) showed lung metastasis at the diagnosis of osteosarcoma and 67 (33%) were diagnosed with lung metastases during the later course. T3 stage (OR = 11.415, 95%CI 1.362–95.677, P = 0.025) and bone metastasis (OR = 6.437, 95%CI 1.69–24.51, P = 0.006) were risk factors of SLM occurrence. Bone metastasis (OR = 1.842, 95%CI 1.053–3.224, P = 0.032), good necrosis (≥ 90%, OR = 0.032, 95%CI 0.050–0.412, P < 0.001), elevated Ki-67 (OR = 2.958, 95%CI 1.098–7.969, P = 0.032) and elevated LDH (OR = 1.791, 95%CI 1.020–3.146, P = 0.043) were proved to be independent risk factors for developing MLM. Background: As the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders fifth version (DSM-5) was published, the Kiddie-Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia-Present and Lifetime version (K-SADS-PL) was modified to adapt the new version (K-SADS-PL DSM-5). We translated it to Chinese (K-SADS-PL-C DSM-5) and described its reliability and validity.Methods: A total of 154 groups of 6 to 18-year-old children and their guardians were included. Trained interviewers interviewed subjects using the K-SADS-PL-C DSM-5. Interrater reliability was assessed by audio recording. Parent-reported scales, like child behavior checklist (CBCL), the Chinese version of Swan-son Nolan and Pelham, version IV scale-parent form (SNAP-IV), social responsiveness scale (SRS-1), and children-reported scales like depression self-rating scale for children (DSRSC) and the screen for child anxiety related emotional disorders (SCARED) were used to examine the validity of depressive disorder, ADHD, ASD, and ODD.Results: The K-SADS-PL-C DSM-5 had fair to excellent interrater (0.537-1.000) and test-retest (0.468-0.885) reliability of affective disorder and neurodevelopment disorder. The convergent validity of affective disorder and neurodevelopment disorder was good, and their divergent validity was acceptable.Limitations: i) Clinical questionnaires were insensitive in classifying disorders and had limitations in derived diagnoses. ii) Samples only came from clinical environment, iii) covered limited disease species, and iv) were small.Conclusion: The K-SADS-PL-C DSM-5 can support reliable and valid diagnoses for children with affect, neurodevelopmental, and behavioral disorders in China. The unreasonable use of antibiotics and the transmission of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) induced by antibiotics have led to a large number of ARGs entered the water environment, which seriously threatened human health and environmental safety. The estuarine aquatic environment connects with inland rivers and sea and is frequently influenced by human activities. This study aims to reveal the occurrences and abundances of ARGs and bacterial community composition by high-throughput quantitative PCR including 296 primers and high-throughput sequencing in the tide rising and ebbing of surface water in the Yongjiang Estuary, China. The results showed that there were a large number of ARGs and mobile genetic elements (MGEs) detected in the rising tide and ebb tide water bodies. The numbers of detected ARGs in each sample at rising and ebb tide ranged from 16 to 77 and 61 to 88, respectively, and the absolute abundance ranges were 1.69 × 104–1.69 × 109 copies/L and 3.18 × 103–2.57 × 109 copies/L, respectively. Obvious tidal distribution characteristics of ARGs were showed. Most of ARGs conferred resistance to multidrug, aminoglycosides and sulfanilamides. Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria and Bacteroidetes were the dominantly bacterial phylum in the Yongjiang Estuary. Network analysis results indicated that multi-genera were identified as possible ARGs hosts, and they carried more than two types of ARGs genes. Partial least squares path modeling further revealed that MGEs and bacterial community composition were the most important driving factors. The results of the study can provide the corresponding scientific basis for the diffusion and control of ARGs in estuaries. • Tides had influences on the abundance of ARGs. • The abundance of multidrug resistance genes was the highest. • ARGs might have more than one potential hosts. • MGEs and bacterial community composition were the key factors affecting the spread of ARGs. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused considerable morbidity and mortality worldwide since December 2019. This retrospective study determined the characteristics and prognostic factors of COVID-19 patients, focusing on inpatients who died or were discharged between 30 December 2019 and 29 February 2020 at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. Patients' medical histories, comorbidities, symptoms, signs, laboratory findings, computed tomography (CT) findings, and clinical management were recorded. All 293 patients were divided into the nonsurviving (n = 116) and surviving (n = 177) groups. The median age was older in the nonsurviving group than in the surviving group; most patients were older than 65 years in the nonsurviving group. The incidence rates of lymphopenia, neutrophilia, and leukocytosis were significantly higher in the nonsurviving group than in the surviving group. More patients in the nonsurviving group had increased levels of nonspecific infection markers, abnormal liver and kidney function, cardiac injury, and blood coagulation abnormalities on admission. Immune and inflammatory responses were more severely disturbed in the nonsurviving group than in the surviving group. The incidence rates of complications during hospitalization were higher in the nonsurviving group than in the surviving group. Cox regression results also showed that older age, symptoms of dyspnea, comorbidities, and complications were all predictors of death. Objective: To evaluate the clinical significance of permanent 125I prostate brachytherapy in patients with castration‐resistant prostate cancer. Methods: A retrospective study of 45 patients with castration‐resistant prostate cancer from the Clinical Medical College, Yangzhou University, Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China was carried out. Patients were divided into two groups according to different treatments: 21 patients received endocrine therapy alone (control group), and 24 patients underwent brachytherapy combined with endocrine therapy (treatment group). Prostate‐specific antigen progression‐free survival, cancer‐specific survival, overall survival and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results: The median prostate‐specific antigen progression‐free survival and cancer‐specific survival of the treatment group were 29 months (interquartile range 25–37 months) and 37 months (interquartile range 30–50 months), respectively. These were significantly longer than those of the control group (both P < 0.05). Prostate‐specific antigen (before androgen deprivation therapy and before brachytherapy), prostate volume, Gleason score, clinical stage and brachytherapy were associated with prostate‐specific antigen progression‐free survival and cancer‐specific survival on univariate analysis. For the quality of life after treatment, urinary symptoms/problems at 1 month after brachytherapy compared with the control group had a statistically significant difference and clinically relevant deterioration, but after 6 months there were no statistically significant differences and clinically relevant deterioration. Compared with the control group, the physical functioning, social functioning, global health and general physical discomfort of the treatment group were significantly improved. Conclusions: Brachytherapy with 125I seed implantation can effectively prolong survival of patients with castration‐resistant prostate cancer and, to a certain extent, improve patients' quality of life. Paired measurements of 14C/12C and 230Th ages from two Hulu Cave stalagmites complete a precise record of atmospheric 14C covering the full range of the 14C dating method (~54,000 years). Over the last glacial period, atmospheric 14C/12C ranges from values similar to modern values to values 1.70 times higher (42,000 to 39,000 years ago). The latter correspond to 14C ages 5200 years less than calibrated ages and correlate with the Laschamp geomagnetic excursion followed by Heinrich Stadial 4. Millennial-scale variations are largely attributable to Earth’s magnetic field changes and in part to climate-related changes in the oceanic carbon cycle. Low-polluted waters treated by traditional constructed wetlands were usually difficult especially because of restricted available land use. A hybrid constructed wetlands (CWs) could be applied to remediate low-polluted rivers, which can realize steps complementary to each other that exploit the specific advantages of the individual systems and achieve higher treatment effects. The hybrid CWs covering a total area of 99647m2, was developed to treat the polluted Bagong River, one of tributary to the Yellow River, have been in operation since the end of 2020. This paper introduced the specific construction method of the hybrid CWs, and the water quality of the river could be improved 1–2 grades after flowing through the CWs (according to the Chinese standard GB3838-2002). The treatment capacity was designed to be 65,000 m3·d−1, and the obtained results showed a satisfactory pollutant removal capacity of the hybrid system, with mean removal rates of 57.00%, 20.00%, 48.00%, and 29.00% for ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), and chemical oxygen demand (COD), respectively. Meanwhile, >12 species of aquatic birds were attracted to inhabited in the hybrid CWs. The results of correlation analysis concluded that temperature and plant growth were the dominant factors affecting the removal of pollutants in the hybrid CWs system, and the porous concrete as substrate also has obvious phosphorus removal effect. The results showed that the system had relatively stable impact resistance and good ecological benefits under different influent loads, and can better improve water quality and biodiversity. Thus, the hybrid CWs would be a promising and feasible treatment method for low-polluted waters, as adapted to the local context. To restrict the South China metallogenic cognition the main problems include the types and metal associations of the deposits, factors controlling the distribution of the different types of metallogenic belts, and targets for new deposits. To find possible and feasible solutions to solve these problems. It is necessary to consider the metallogenic factors from the concept of mineral systems. This study first converted the satellite gravity into Bouguer gravity under spherical coordinates. Then the reduction-to-the pole (RTP) magnetic anomalies were obtained using a moving window with different geomagnetic parameters. The vertical lithospheric interfaces and main faults were inverted and interpreted according to these gravity and magnetic data. Based on the results obtained, we have discussed the possible sources and pathways of the five metallogenic belts in South China. Meanwhile, it identified the 3D spatial distribution of intrusions qualitatively by inverted susceptibility and density model, and predicted the potential sites for Cu, Fe, Au, W, and Sn deposits. The Cathaysia Block is located in South China, along the western margin of the Pacific plate, and well known for its widespread granitoids and rich poly-metallic mineralization. Despite the numerous studies conducted in this region, some key questions are still in debate, which revolve around the detailed crustal architecture, the boundary between the western and eastern part of Cathaysia Block, and the geodynamic evolution and metallogenic settings in the Cathaysia Block. In this study, we have conducted a dense broad-band seismic observation in the Cathaysia Block, and obtained the fine crustal structure of it by using P-wave receiver functions and analyzing other geophysical and geological studies comprehensively. Our study has following findings: (1) the crust of the Cathaysia Block is ~31.5 km thick, thinner than that of the global continent, and is interpreted to have been thinned since the Late Mesozoic; (2) the Vp/Vs ratio of the Cathaysia Block is lower than that of the global continent, which implies there is no extensive underplating beneath the Cathaysia Block, or that the magma may be confined at bottom of the crust and formed a velocity gradient belt around Moho; (3) Zhenghe-Dapu fault is marked as the structural boundary between the western and eastern Cathaysia Block; (4) the western and eastern Cathaysia Block have different intra-crustal structures, petrochronology features and mineralization settings; (5) the subduction of the paleo-Pacific plate and the following roll-back could be responsible for the geodynamic evolution of the crustal deformation, as well as the widespread magmatism and mineralization. • Fine crustal structure of Cathaysia is obtained by new seismic survey. • Zhenghe-Dapu fault is the boundary between the east and west Cathaysia. • No extensive magmatic underplating beneath the Cathaysia Block. • Two-stage paleo-Pacific subduction led to the crustal structure of Cathaysia. We used statistical approach by coupling redundancy analysis with linear regression analysis, which is useful to understand potential sources of antibiotics in the tide rising and ebbing of surface water in the Yongjiang Estuary, China. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between 29 antibiotics at five sites over four seasons and 13 environmental parameters during the tide rising and ebbing durations. The results found that dissolved organic carbon (DOC), salinity, temperature and chlorophyll a (Chla) were the main factors to impact antibiotics. The concentrations of macrolides were increasing with DOC, suggesting DOC may influence the adsorption capacity of antibiotics. The concentrations of tetracyclines had significant correlation with temperature and Chla during the tide rising period. This study demonstrated a method of exploring the relationship between the concentrations of antibiotics and environmental parameters, which is beneficial to future antibiotics research in estuaries. • Statistical approach applied in the field of antibiotics. • Redundancy analysis with linear regression analysis is used. • Explore responses of estuarial antibiotics to environmental drivers.
