Since there are many advantages of servant leadership, such as altruistic calling, emotional healing, wisdom, persuasive mapping, and organizational stewardship, employers and human resources are particularly concerned about these soft skills when recruiting graduates. This study explores the impact of undergraduates' servant leadership on their self-perception of employability. We utilized previously validated scale questionnaires (the Servant Leadership Scale and the Undergraduates Perceived Employability Scale) to predict the perceived employability of undergraduates. We used multiple linear regression analysis to examine the five subscales of undergraduate servant leadership. Our extensive research has uncovered substantial evidence supporting all five hypotheses presented in the paper. Five variables, derived from the five dimensions of servant leadership, were used to measure undergraduates' perceived employability as the dependent variable. Our findings confirm that the altruistic calling, emotional healing, wisdom, persuasive mapping, and organizational stewardship dimensions of servant leadership have positive correlations with undergraduates' perceived employability. Our findings suggest that undergraduates may be more employable if they exhibit the characteristics of servant leadership. Undergraduates should therefore be encouraged to enhance their soft skills in relation to servant leadership, and universities should consider offering courses on the topic. Employers and HR professionals may want to provide training to new employees on servant leadership to align better with the company culture. This study is the first to predict how undergraduate students' servant leadership qualities affect their perceived employability. The findings indicate that undergraduates who exhibit servant leadership traits are more likely to have a positive perception of their employability.

In order to Improvement the Neutrosophic sets as effective tools to deal with uncertain and inconsistent information. The research takes methodology of combined single-valued neutrosophic rough set and multi-scale decision systems. This paper proposes the optimal scale selection and reduction algorithms based on multi-scale single-valued neutrosophic dominance rough set model. User requirements were analyzed using KJ method to construct a hierarchical model. According to the statistics of representative studies from China and theWest, we found that, on the one hand, classical theory has been expanded and supplemented in fashion culture communication and marketing. The topics are more micro-diverse, and the research methods are inspired by other disciplines; on the other hand, Chinese practice and Chinese cultural perspective need to fill the gap. The fashion content in the new fashion, however, needs to broaden its boundaries, and in addition to integrating with cultural theory and sociology, it needs to be integrated with fashion products, including product design, visual communication, image design and so on. Aesthetic communication needs to be taken into account as an important connotation, with visual communication and the communication of images as important research elements. Features and relevant services of online social media have been attracting users during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous studies have shown that college students tend to use social media more frequently than other groups. However, in being affected by social media overload, the social media use behaviors of many college students have been out of their control in terms of their capabilities or cognition. Based on the stressor-strain-outcome (SSO) model and the theory of compensatory internet use (TCIU), we developed a research model to study the causes of social media overload and its impact on college students' academic performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 441 valid responses from college students through questionnaires in China are collected via purposive sampling and used in the data analysis. This study conducts PLS-SEM to analyze collected data, finding that boredom proneness is associated with overload (stress), which has a bearing on social media overload (strain) and the reduction in final performance (outcome). Through illustrating the psychological and behavioral conditions that hinder the academic performance of students, this study provides deeper insights into students' uncontrollable use of social media. Moreover, with respect to the identified antecedents, this study aims to find solutions to mitigate the impact of social media overload resulting from boredom proneness on the academic performance of college students. This article studies the model of the impact of real negative news on stock prices and provides evidence using China's A-share listed companies as an example. It first defines the negative news of the network. Then, it constructs the negative news to the stock price influence model, from the perspective of the theory of behavioral finance, the relationship between stock market and investor sentiment is systematically analyzed, and the theoretical support for the research of this paper is provided according to the definition of network negative news concept using the event study, abnormal returns test, regression analysis of the sample selected out of the study, observation of negative news before and after the abnormal returns, and excess returns changes. Studies have shown that negative news before 1 day and after 4 days makes stock price volatility larger, resulting in excess returns. The network negative news on the listed company's stock price fluctuations can cause a certain degree of impact; in the short term, the fluctuation of the stock price of listed companies is more active. This article finds that when online media disclose negative information on listed companies from one day before to four days later, stock prices will fluctuate greatly, generate excess returns, and continue to make stock fluctuations more active in the short term. In addition, when studying the influencing factors of the stock price fluctuations of listed companies, we found that stock price fluctuations are affected by the company's performance. The better the company's performance is, the smaller the stock price fluctuations will be when it is affected by negative news. Esophageal cancer is the eighth most prevalent malignancy in the world and China has a high incidence of esophageal cancer. Previous studies have identified that LINC00488 is an oncogene; however, its role in esophageal cancer remains unclear. The present study detected the expression and biological functions of LINC00488 in the progression of esophageal cancer. LINC00488 levels in 45 esophageal cancer and matched paracancerous tissues were detected. The association between LINC00488 level, clinical indexes and overall survival rate of patients with esophageal cancer was analyzed. Using Cell Counting Kit-8, Transwell and wound healing assays, the influence of LINC00488 on the biological functions of OE19 and OE33 cells were assessed. The target gene of LINC00488, microRNA-485-5p (miRNA-485-5p), was predicted using bioinformatics databases. In addition, the role of miRNA-485-5p in the progression of esophageal cancer was evaluated using rescue experiments. LINC00488 was upregulated in esophageal cancer tissues and cell lines. A high level of LINC00488 was associated with lymphatic and distant metastasis and poor prognosis in patients with esophageal cancer. Silencing LINC00488 attenuated the viability, migration and wound healing of OE19 and OE33 cells. miRNA-485-5p was downregulated in esophageal cancer and low expression levels predicted a poor prognosis in these patients. In addition, miRNA-485-5p level was negatively correlated with that of LINC00488. Rescue experiments showed that knockdown of miRNA-485-5p reversed the attenuated proliferation and migration of esophageal cancer cells with LINC00488-knockdown. We report a novel hemoglobin (Hb) variant found in a Chinese individual from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. The proband was a 6-month-old boy who came from Dahua county, Hechi City. Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) showed an abnormal peak (51.2%) in zone 13. However, capillary isoelectric focusing electrophoresis (CIFE) presented an unknown peak in zone Bart's (51.4%). High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) displayed an unknown peak (42.1%) at retention time 2.44 min., eluting before Hb A0. Direct DNA sequencing of the β-globin gene revealed heterozygosity for a missense mutation at codon 59 (AAG>ATG), causing a lysine to methionine substitution [β59(E3)Lys→Met; HBB: c.179A>T]. There is increasing evidence of estrogenic activities of source waters and drinking waters in China based on estrogen receptors (ERs) testing. However, relating such activities to retinoid X receptors (RXRs) in both drinking and source waters are lacking. To rectify this situation, we assessed 23 source water samples from six major river systems in China. We also collected samples at various stages of water processing from three drinking water treatment plants (DWTPs) using a two-hybrid RXR yeast assay with and without metabolism. No RXR agonistic activity was observed, but significant antagonistic activity was detected in all sample extracts. The RXR antagonistic activities of source water sample extracts ranged from 15.2% to 57.8% without metabolism and 11.5% to 68.3% with metabolism, respectively. In the drinking water treatment processes, RXR antagonistic activities without metabolism and with metabolism of up to 31.4% and 37.5% were removed, respectively. Nevertheless, the remaining RXR antagonists in treated drinking water from these source waters could still be harmful to human health. To the best of our knowledge, the occurrence of in vitro RXR disruption activities in source and drinking water has not been previously reported in China. • A wide and large root system in upper soil determines root lodging resistance. • LR maize allocates more photosynthates to roots and basal stems. • Stem structure maintains better with increased plant density in LR maize. • Root-shoot interaction provides a clue about improving lodging resistance in maize. The differences in root and stem structure between lodging resistant (LR) and susceptible (LS) genotypes have yet to be fully understood in maize (Zea mays L.). To clarify these differences, lodging rates and yield of LS genotype XunDan20 (XD20) and LR genotype FuMin985 (FM985) across five locations in China from 2014 to 2018 were investigated. Simultaneously, field experiments including genotypes XD20 and FM985 and two plant densities of 75,000 (D75000) and 105,000 plant ha−1 (D105000) were specifically performed at two locations in North China Plain in 2018. Stem and root lodging rates of XD20 were significantly higher than that of FM985 mainly because FM985 had a larger root system and a stronger basal stem. Compared to XD20, FM985 had significantly larger values in root crown width, root angle, length (+37.1 %), volume (+25.5 %), and length density (+29.9 %) in 0−10 cm soil. Although FM985 had longer and thinner basal stem internodes, the larger sclerenchyma and more compact distribution of epidermal cells in the rind resulted in greater rind penetration strength in FM985 than in XD20. Results from 13C and 15N isotope labelling revealed that the high stem strength and root anchorage strength of FM985 were related to the large assimilate allocations to roots and basal internodes. With increased plant density, XD20 had larger reductions in stem morphological parameters, leading to a smaller stem lodging resistance; FM985 showed larger reductions in root traits but still had a high root lodging resistance at high plant density due to the large root system. LR maize allocates more photosynthetic assimilates to roots and stems and maintains a higher capacity of nutrient absorption, reflecting a function of root–shoot interactions during formation and maintenance of lodging resistance. Understand the noise exposure level and influencing factors of small and micro-scale enterprises in Beijing, and support the formulation of noise prevention and control policies. Noise hazards in small- and micro-scale enterprises were monitored from May to December 2021 using a combination of questionnaire survey and on-site noise monitoring. The survey included questions on the basic characteristics of the enterprise, the situation of noise protection facilities, and protective equipment. We calculated the equivalent to the sound level of 8 h per day ( L EX, 8h ) or the equivalent of the sound level of 40 h per week ( L EX,w ) and the exceeding rate. Unconditional logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors. We recruited 194 enterprises in our study, including 145 small- and 49 micro-scale enterprises. Overall, 9.9% of the noise points exceeded the Chinese national standard, which was 85 dB(A). The detected noise of micro-enterprises significantly ( P  < .001) exceeded that of small enterprises. This is the first study to examine noise hazards of small and micro-scale enterprises in Beijing in recent years. Our results showed noise hazard prevention in Beijing is grim. It is suggested that the government should strengthen supervision, allocate responsibility to the employer, and guide them to establish and improve the management system for controlling noise hazards, to effectively reduce its impact on the health of workers.

Purpose: Aerobic vaginitis (AV) has drawn increasing attention because of its threat to women's reproductive health and pregnancy. However, little is known about the overall structure of vaginal bacterial communities in women with AV., Methods: The diversity of vaginal microbiota was evaluated by amplicon sequencing targeting the 16S rRNA V4 region. Routine laboratory tests, including cultivation, were used., Results: Firmicutes (mainly Lactobacillus crispatus and L. iners) were dominant in healthy women (n = 160), while Actinobacteria and Bacteroidetes were strongly associated with AV (n = 80). The onset of AV was marked by a striking decline in L. crispatus and an increase in multiple aerobes, including Streptococcus agalactiae, S. anginosus, etc. The overall drug resistance level of gram-positive bacteria against erythromycin and clindamycin was high, and the overall drug resistance level of gram-negative bacteria against ampicillin was high., Conclusions: Multiple aerobes and facultative anaerobes were involved in vaginal dysbiosis, which was associated with decreasing L. crispatus levels. The purpose of this study was to investigate the risk factors and pregnancy outcomes for aerobic vaginitis (AV) in late pregnancy. A total of 624 pregnant women who were treated in the perinatal unit at Tianjin Medical University General Hospital and 365 nonpregnant women who were evaluated at a health management center from January 2015 to June 2016 were recruited for this case-control study. A questionnaire covering personal hygiene habits and sociodemographic factors was administered to pregnant women to analyze risk factors for AV. Bacterial vaginosis, AV, vulvovaginal candidiasis, and Trichomonas vaginitis were scored according to standardized definitions. Pregnancy outcomes were followed up and recorded. The chi-square test and univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used for statistical evaluation. The prevalence of vaginal infection in pregnant and nonpregnant women were 27.9% and 15.3%, respectively (P < 0.05). AV was identified more frequently in pregnant women than in nonpregnant women (4.2% vs. 1.4%; P < 0.05). A history of vaginal infection within 1 year (odds ratio [OR] = 3.219, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.103-9.346) and external hemorrhoids (OR = 11.233, 95% CI 4.647-27.155) were independent risk factors for AV during pregnancy. A higher incidence of premature rupture of membranes (PROM) was significantly associated with AV (P < 0.05). AV is common in late pregnancy. Clinicians should pay more attention to vaginal microbiota evaluations during pregnancy.

Background: Globally, nurses becoming more aware of getting better prepared for disaster relief, but in China, disaster nursing knowledge, courses and research are still limited., Introduction: China has long been prone to disasters, but disaster nursing education and training is in its infancy., Aim: This study explored the skills, knowledge and attitudes required by registered nurses from across China who worked in the aftermath of three large earthquakes to try to determine future disaster nursing education requirements., Method: The Questionnaire of Nurses' Disaster Nursing Skills at Earthquake Sites, assessing nursing skills, knowledge and attitudes, was distributed to 139 registered nurses in 38 hospitals in 13 provinces across China who had worked in one or more earthquake disaster zones. Descriptive statistics were used for quantitative data, and content analysis for qualitative data., Results: Eighty-nine questionnaires were returned, a response rate of 68.3%. No respondent had ever received specific disaster nursing training prior to their post-earthquake nursing. Skills most often used by respondents were haemostasis bandaging, fixation, manual handling, observation and monitoring, debridement and dressing, and mass casualty transportation. Respondents identified that the most important groups of skills required were cardiopulmonary resuscitation; haemostasis, bandaging, fixation, and manual handling; and emergency management. They emphasized the need for psychological care of victims as well as that of fellow health workers., Conclusion: No respondent had ever received disaster nursing training prior to engagement at the earthquake disaster sites. All believed that there were important gaps in their knowledge and skills, and supported disaster nursing courses in the future., Implications for Nursing and Health Policy: China urgently needs to develop disaster nursing courses, with the support of nurse leaders, educationalists and government, to implement training using an all hazards approach in accordance with international best practice and trainees' background clinical experience and knowledge., (© 2015 International Council of Nurses.)

Background: Mammographic density (MD) has not been systematically investigated among Chinese women. Breast cancer screening programmes provided detailed information on MD in a large number of asymptomatic women., Methods: In the Multi-modality Independent Screening Trial (MIST), we estimated the association between MD and its influential factors using logistic regression, adjusting for age, body mass index (BMI) and study area. Differences between Chinese and other ethnic groups with respect to MD were also explored with adjustment for age and BMI., Results: A total of 28 388 women aged 45 to 65 years, who had been screened by mammography, were enrolled in the study. Of these, 49.2% were categorized as having dense breasts (BI-RADS density 3 and 4) and 50.8% as fatty breasts (BI-RADS density 1 and 2). Postmenopausal status [odds ratio (OR) = 0.66; 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.62-0.70] and higher number of live births (OR = 0.56; 95% CI: 0.46-0.68) were inversely associated with MD, whereas prior benign breast disease (OR = 1.48; 95% CI: 1.40-1.56) and later age at first birth (OR = 1.17; 95% CI: 1.08-1.27) were positively associated with MD. In comparison with the data from the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium, we found that women in MIST were more likely to have fatty breasts than Americans (from the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium) in the older age group (≥50 years) but more likely to have dense breasts in the younger age group (<50 years)., Conclusions: This study suggests that several risk factors for breast cancer were associated with breast density in Chinese women. Objective: To investigate the current status of smoking and passive smoking among Chinese females to provide evidence for related strategy development., Methods: Data from 32 720 women aged 45-65 years old who participated in the 2008 to 2010 Chinese Multi-center Women Breast Cancer Screening Project, were used to analyze the prevalence rates of smoking/heavy smoking, daily smoking, smoking cessation, successful smoking cessation, passive smoking, etc., Results: A total of 913 females, accounted for 2.8% of all the women in the study, had reported the history of smoking. There were significant differences seen regarding the prevalence rates of smoking in different regions (Beijing, 2.8%; Tianjin, 5.9%; Nanchang, 1.7%; Feicheng, 0.9%; Shenyang, 1.8%). The prevalence rates of current smoking, daily smoking, and heavy smoking were 1.8%, 1.0% and 0.2%, respectively. The prevalence rates of smoking and current smoking increased with age but not the prevalence rates of daily smoking and heavy smoking. Among the smokers, the median initiation age of smoking, the median daily cigarette per day, and median year of smoking were 30 years old, 10 cigarette, and 16 years, respectively. And the prevalence rates of smoking cessation and successful smoking cessation were 19.1% and 8.2%. The prevalence rate of passive smoking was 45.7% (12 730/27 874). After combing the number of smokers and the number of passive smokers, the total exposure rate to tobacco was 41.8% (13 670/32 720)., Conclusion: There was a relatively low level of smoking among Chinese females, so as the rate of smoking cessation. However, passive smoking presented a relatively high level among Chinese females.

Objective: To evaluate the association between induced abortion (IA) and breast cancer risk among Chinese females., Methods: We searched three English databases (PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Wiley) and three Chinese databases (CNKI, WanFang, and VIP) for studies up to December 2012, supplemented by manual searches. Two reviewers independently conducted the literature searching, study selection, and data extraction and quality assessment of included studies. Random effects models were used to estimate the summary odds ratios (ORs) and the 95 % confidence intervals (CIs)., Results: A total of 36 articles (two cohort studies and 34 case-control studies) covering 14 provinces in China were included in this review. Compared to people without any history of IA, an increased risk of breast cancer was observed among females who had at least one IA (OR = 1.44, 95 % CI 1.29-1.59, I (2) = 82.6 %, p < 0.001, n = 34). No significant publication bias was found among the included studies (Egger test, p = 0.176). The risk increased to 1.76 (95 % CI 1.39-2.22) and 1.89 (95 % CI 1.40-2.55) for people who had at least two IAs and at least three IAs, respectively. Subgroup analyses showed similar results to the primary results. Meta-regression analysis of the included studies found that the association between IA and breast cancer risk attenuated with increasing percent of IA in the control group (β = -0.022, p < 0.001)., Conclusion: IA is significantly associated with an increased risk of breast cancer among Chinese females, and the risk of breast cancer increases as the number of IA increases. If IA were to be confirmed as a risk factor for breast cancer, high rates of IA in China may contribute to increasing breast cancer rates.
