Background: Childhood and peer experiences can influence adolescents' perceptions of interpersonal relationships, which can, in turn, influence their emotional states and behavior patterns. Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is now a common problem behavior among adolescents. The present study examined the role of childhood trauma and peer victimization in adolescents' NSSI. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1783 adolescents (1464 girls and 318 boys) in the psychiatric outpatient clinics or wards of 14 psychiatric hospitals or general hospitals in nine provinces in China. Data were collected using the Multidimensional Peer Victimization Scale (MPVS), Short-form Childhood Trauma Questionnaire(CTQ-SF), and Functional Assessment of Self-Mutilation (FASM). Structural equation modeling (SEM) with latent variables was used to demonstrate the mediating role of peer victimization in the association between childhoodtrauma and NSSI. Results: The SEM analysis demonstrated that peer victimization plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between childhood trauma and NSSI. In addition, several covariates (such as age, gender, education level, and place of residence) effectively regulated the relationship between peer victimization and NSSI. Conclusion: In future studies of NSSI among Chinese adolescents, attention should be paid to the roles of childhood trauma and peer bullying; there is a temporal sequence between these two variables and, to some extent, childhood trauma can have an impact on bullying during adolescence which, in turn, influences NSSI behavior. A series of conventional dynamic uniaxial compressive (CDUC) tests and coupled static dynamic loading (CSDL) tests were performed using a split Hopkinson compression bar (SHPB) system to explore the variable dynamic mechanical behavior and fracture characteristics of medium siltstone at a microscopic scale in the laboratory. In the CDUC tests, the dynamic uniaxial strength of the medium sandstone is rate-dependent in the range of 17.5 to 96.8 s−1, while the dynamic elastic modulus is not dependent on the strain rate. Then, this paper proposes a generalized model to characterize the rate-dependent strength from 17.5 to 96.8 s−1. In the CSDL tests, with increasing initial prestatic stress, the dynamic elastic modulus and dynamic strength increase nonlinearly at first and then decrease. The results show that two classical morphological types (i.e., Type I and Type II) are observed in the dynamic stress–strain response from the CDUC and CSDL tests. By scanning electron microscopy (SEM), microscopic differences in the post-loading microcrack characteristics in the behavior of Type I and Type II are identified. In Class I behavior, intergranular fracture (IF) usually initiates at or near the grains, with most cracks deflected along the grain boundaries, resulting in a sharp angular edge, and then coalesces to the main fracture surface that splits the specimen along the direction of stress wave propagation. A strictly anaerobic sulfate-reducing strain, designated SG60T, was isolated from paddy soil collected in Fujian Province, China. Growth of strain SG60T was observed at 20–37 °C, pH 5.5–10.0 and 0–0.7% (w/v) NaCl. Strain SG60T showed the highest 16S rRNA sequence similarities to the type strains of Fundidesulfovibrio magnetotacticus FSS-1T (97.2%) and Fundidesulfovibrio putealis DSM 16056T (96.4%). Phylogenetic trees based on the16S rRNA sequence and genome-based phylogenomic tree constructed using 120 core genes showed that strain SG60T clustered with members of the genus Fundidesulfovibrio. The average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values between strain SG60T and the most closely related type strain F. magnetotacticus were 78.2% and 21.6%, respectively. Strain SG60T contained MK-7 as the main respiratory quinone and anteiso-C15:0, anteiso-C17:1ω9c, iso-C16:0 and iso-C16:1 H as the major fatty acids. Strain SG60T produced desulfoviridin and possessed genes (nifHDK) encoding functions involved in nitrogen fixation. The genomic DNA G + C content was 65.5%. Based on the observed physiological properties, chemotaxonomic characteristics and ANI and dDDH values, strain SG60T represents a novel species of the genus Fundidesulfovibrio, for which the name Fundidesulfovibrio soli sp. nov. is proposed. Five strictly anaerobic strains, designated RG2T, RG3, RG10T, RF4T, and RG29, were isolated from paddy soils in China. Strains RG2T, RF4T, RG10T, RG3, and RG29 grew at temperatures ranging 5–42°C and pH ranging 5.5–8.5. Strains RG2T, RF4T, RG3, and RG29 could tolerate NaCl up to 0–0.7% (w/v) while strain RG10T could tolerate NaCl up to 0–0.8% (w/v). The isolated strains showed the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities to the type strains of Geomonas terrae Red111T and Geomonas paludis Red736T. In phylogenetic (based on 16S rRNA gene sequence) and phylogenomic trees, strains clustered with the members of the genus Geomonas. Menaquinone-8 was the predominant quinone present in all strains. The major fatty acid profiles of all strains were C15:1 ω6 c , C16:0, iso-C15:0, and Summed Feature 3. The digital DNA–DNA hybridization (dDDH) and average nucleotide identity (ANI) values between the isolated strains and the closely related Geomonas species were lower than the cutoff value (ANI 95–96% and dDDH 70%) for prokaryotic species delineation. Based on physiological, biochemical, and chemotaxonomic properties, strains RG2T, RG10T, and RF4T could easily be differentiated with the members of the genus Geomonas. Additionally, all the isolated strains possessed nifHDK clusters and catalytic compartments of nitrogenase. Based on the above results, the isolated five strains represent three novel species of the genus Geomonas , for which the names Geomonas oryzisoli sp. nov., Geomonas subterranea sp. nov., and Geomonas nitrogeniifigens sp. nov. are proposed. In December 2019, COVID‐19 broke out in Wuhan, China, affecting the mental health and quality of life (QoL) of its inhabitants. This study aimed at investigating the factors associated with anxiety and QoL in the Wuhan populace during the COVID‐19 pandemic. An online questionnaire survey was carried out during July 6–10, 2020. The questionnaire collected information on demography, anxiety, QoL, and social‐environmental support. The main statistical methods included descriptive statistics, independent‐samples t‐test, one‐way analysis of variance, and multivariate regression analysis. In total, 226 participants were recruited. The findings showed that females, elderly, middle‐income, poor health status, shortage of medical supplies, and insufficient basic commodities were associated with anxiety significantly. Multiple regression analysis indicated that social‐environmental support was significantly related to anxiety. Higher social‐environmental support was significantly associated with a higher QoL. Our findings showed that the social‐environmental support may reduce anxiety and improve the QoL for those living in an area heavily affected by the pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Mining of the coal seam adjacent to the extracted coal panel is widely practiced in China to improve coal resource recovery rates, but the energy change associated with longwall mining may present a new risk to ground stability and gateroad failure. To understand the energy change effectively, a meticulously validated numerical model, built using FLAC3D software, incorporating a double‐yield model for the gob materials and a strain‐softening model for the coal/rock masses, was developed to investigate the energy redistribution in coal seams and barrier pillars during the process of mining the coal seam adjacent to the extracted coal panel. The model results showed that the closer the region was to the LW 5301 gob, the higher the location and magnitude of the peak strain energy density. Consequently, the risk of rockburst in coal seams was greater than that in barrier pillars. Along the coal seam strike, with increasing advancing distance from the setup room, the magnitude of the peak strain energy density gradually increased to 1.88‐2.78 times the premining energy level. In addition, along the coal seam dip, the maximum distance from the peak strain energy density to the edge of the coal seam was approximately 16‐28 m, which is greater than that in the barrier pillar. The proposed numerical simulation procedure and calibrated method could be a viable alternative approach to evaluate longwall mining‐induced energy changes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Gaojialiang Coal Mine in Inner Mongolia in China was used as an example to investigate the process of chain pillar and gateroad failure in the lower coal seam under the effect of an irregular residual coal pillar in the upper close‐distance coal seam. The results indicated that after the longwall face in the lower coal seam retreated through the area under the large irregular residual coal pillar in the upper coal seam, the bearing area of the residual coal pillar decreased and the roof pressure continuously concentrated in the elastic core area of the residual coal pillar. Isolated triangular slab rock was formed above the triangular residual coal pillar, and the weight of the overlying strata was transferred downward through the triangular slab rock. When the chain pillar under the residual coal pillar was destroyed due to loading that exceeded its carrying capacity, the upper triangular slab rock rotated and sank, which resulted in the intensification of the concentrated stress in the solid rib of the gateroad in the lower coal seam. Based on the analysis, it is suggested that in the design of a longwall system, a gateroad under an isolated residual coal pillar in the upper coal seam should be avoided when mining in close‐distance coal seams. Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN) are life-threatening disease. However, there are only few epidemiologic studies of SJS/TEN from China. To analyze the clinical characteristics, causality, and outcome of treatment for SJS/TEN in China, we reviewed case reports of patients with SJS/TEN from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang database from 2006 to 2016 and patients with SJS/TEN who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University during the same period. There were 166 patients enrolled, including 70 SJS, 2 SJS/TEN overlap, and 94 TEN. The most common offending drugs were antibiotics (29.5%) and anticonvulsants (24.1%). Carbamazepine, allopurinol, and penicillins were the most common single offending drugs (17.5%, 9.6%, and 7.2%). Chinese patent medicines accounted for 5.4%. There were 76 (45.8%) patients receiving systemic steroid and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) in combination therapy, especially for TEN (80.3%), and others were treated with systemic steroids alone. Mortality rate of combination treatment comparing with steroid alone in TEN patients had no statistical significance. In conclusion, carbamazepine and allopurinol were the leading causative drugs for SJS/TEN in China. Combination of IVIG and steroids is a common treatment for TEN, but its efficacy in improving mortality needs further investigation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Coffee consumption in China has increased rapidly in recent years. This study offers one of the few existing attempts to understand Chinese consumers' coffee consumption behavior with a special focus on the viability of fair trade coffee in the Chinese market. A modified payment card approach was adopted to elicit consumer willingness to pay (WTP). Survey results suggest a positive attitude toward coffee and WTP for fair trade coffee. This study also explores the potential impact of starting point bias, which has been relatively well documented in the dichotomous choice literature, but less thoroughly in a payment card context. La consommation de café en Chine s'est accrue rapidement au cours des dernières années. La présente étude figure parmi les quelques tentatives déployées pour comprendre le comportement de consommation de café des consommateurs chinois et se penche sur la viabilité du cafééquitable sur le marché chinois. Nous avons utilisé une méthode modifiée de la carte de paiement pour déterminer le consentement à payer des consommateurs. Les résultats de notre étude montrent une attitude positive envers le café et un consentement à payer pour obtenir du cafééquitable. L'étude se penche également sur l'impact probable du biais de position initiale, qui est assez bien documenté dans la littérature sur le choix dichotomique, mais qui l'est moins dans le contexte de la carte de paiement. To better control strata behavior, it is necessary to understand the mining-induced hard main roof movement and fracture in longwall mining. In situ investigations were carried out on the 78,121 working face at the Jiangjiawan Coal Mine, Datong Coalfield, China. The longwall-mining-induced hard main roof movement and fracture were investigated by using digital panoramic imaging and a single-position extensometer. Then, geometric computational models were developed to estimate some parameters to describe the hard main roof fracture. Field observations indicate that after the mining of the 78,121 working face, the hard main roof was broken not only near the coalface regions but also near the side of the longwall panel. In accordance with in situ surveys and geometric computational models, the lateral fracture span, strike fracture span and final rotation angle of the broken main roof of the 78,121 working face were 15.56 m~23.97 m, 16 m~24 m, and 4.02°, respectively. In addition, field measurements found that the periodic roof weighting interval is equal to the strike fracture span and the lateral fracture span. Ligularia dalaolingensis, a new species from Hubei and Hunan, China, is described and illustrated. It belongs to L. sect. Ligularia ser. Speciosae on the basis of its palmate leaf venation, racemose synflorescence and pappus which is slightly shorter than the tube of the tubular corolla. In the series, its closest relatives are assumed to be L. fischeri and L. stenocephala. From L. fischeri, L. dalaolingensis is readily distinguished by smaller basal leaves, shorter synflorescence, narrower involucres and fewer phyllaries and florets; from L. stenocephala, L. dalaolingensis differs by smaller basal leaves, shorter synflorescence as well as broader bracts. A diagnostic key to Chinese species of L. ser. Speciosae with broadly ovate, ovate or ovate‐lanceolate bracts is provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The prevalence of burnout among live streamers remains largely unknown. This study aims to investigate the prevalence and factors associated with burnout among Chinese live streamers., Methods: A cross-sectional study recruited 343 full-time live streamers from 3 companies in Changsha city. Socio-demographic and occupational characteristics were collected using self-designed items. Job stress was assessed using the Job Content Questionnaire (JCQ-22), while supervisor and coworker support were evaluated using the last 8 items of the JCQ-22. Burnout was assessed using the 17-item Chinese version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS)., Results: Our findings revealed that 30.6% of live streamers experienced burnout. Lower levels of education (OR = 2.65 and 3.37, p = 0,005 and 0.003), higher monthly income (OR = 10.56 and 11.25, both p = 0.003), being an entertainment-oriented streamer (OR = 2.13, p = 0.028), continuous walking during live streams (OR = 2.81, p = 0.006), significant drop in follower count (OR = 2.65, P = 0.006), live streaming during the daytime (OR = 3.75, p = 0.001), and higher support from supervisors and coworkers (OR = 3.66, p = 0.001) were positively associated with burnout. A nitrogen-fixing strain designated SG130 T was isolated from paddy soil in Fujian Province, China. Strain SG130 T was Gram-staining-negative, rod-shaped, and strictly anaerobic. Strain SG130 T showed the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities with the type strains Dendrosporobacter quercicolus DSM 1736 T (91.7%), Anaeroarcus burkinensis DSM 6283 T (91.0%) and Anaerospora hongkongensis HKU 15 T (90.9%). Furthermore, the phylogenetic and phylogenomic analysis also suggested strain SG130 T clustered with members of the family Sporomusaceae and was distinguished from other genera within this family. Growth of strain SG130 T was observed at 25-45 °C (optimum 30 °C), pH 6.0-9.5 (optimum 7.0) and 0-1% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 0.1%). The quinones were Q-8 and Q-9. The polar lipids were phosphatidylserine (PS), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), glycolipid (GL), phospholipid (PL) and an unidentified lipid (UL). The major fatty acids (> 10%) were iso-C 13:0 3OH (26.6%), iso-C 17:1 (15.6%) and iso-C 15:1 F (11.4%). The genomic DNA G + C content was 50.7%. The average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values between strain SG130 T and the most closely related type strain D. quercicolus DSM 1736 T (ANI 68.0% and dDDH 20.3%) were both below the cut-off level for species delineation. The average amino acid identity (AAI) between strain SG130 T and the most closely related type strain D. quercicolus DSM 1736 T was 63.2%, which was below the cut-off value for bacterial genus delineation (65%). Strain SG130 T possessed core genes (nifHDK) involved in nitrogen fixation, and nitrogenase activity (106.38 μmol C 2 H 4 g -1 protein h -1 ) was examined using the acetylene reduction assay. Based on the above results, strain SG130 T is confirmed to represent a novel genus of the family Sporomusaceae, for which the name Azotosporobacter soli gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. Objective: To study the relationship between oral disease and depressive symptoms in middle-aged and older adult populations in China., Methods: The data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) done between 2013 and 2015 were analyzed. A total of 3828 middle-aged and older adults showing no depressive symptoms in an assessment with the 10-item Centre for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D-10) were selected as the subjects of observation, and oral disease was taken as the dependent variable. Changes in depressive symptoms in the population were tracked in 2015, and the Cox proportional hazards model was used to estimate the relationship between oral diseases and depressive symptoms., Results: The detection rate of depressive symptoms was 29.3% in middle-aged and older adults with oral diseases, and that of middle-aged and older adults without oral diseases was 20.4%, the difference being statistically significant ( P <0.001). After controlling for confounding factors, Cox proportional hazards model analysis found an association between oral diseases and depressive symptoms (hazard ratio [ HR ]=0.683, 95% confidence interval [ CI ]: 0.583-0.800). It was more likely for middle-aged and older women ( HR =0.708, 95% CI : 0.573-0.874) with oral diseases to develop depressive symptoms than men ( HR =0.644, 95% CI : 0.506-0.819) did ( P <0.05)., Conclusion: Oral diseases in the middle-aged and older adult populations tended to lead to depressive symptoms, and women showed higher rate than men did. Two aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, rod-shaped, endospore-forming, thermophilic bacterial strains, designated FJAT-54423 T and FJAT-54424, were isolated from hyperthermophilic compost sampled in Shanxi Province, PR China. Growth was observed at 30-60 °C (optimum, 50 °C) and pH 6.0-9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0), with up to 2.0 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 0 % NaCl). The 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity between FJAT-54423 T and FJAT-54424 was 99.9%, and the maximum similarity to a valid taxon was observed with Brevibacillus borstelensis (98.3%). Further, in phylogenetic and phylogenomic trees, strains FJAT-54423 T and FJAT-54424 branched with members of the genus Brevibacillus . The menaquinone was MK-7, and the major fatty acids were iso-C 15 : 0 and anteiso-C 15 : 0 . The main polar lipids included phosphatidylmethylethanolamine, phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylglycerol. The cell-wall peptidoglycan was found to contain meso -diaminopimelic acid. The DNA G+C content of strains FJAT-54423 T and FJAT-54424 were 54.3 and 54.4 mol%, respectively. The average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values of strain FJAT-54423 T and its most closely related reference strain B. borstelensis DSM 6347 T were 77.7 and 21.5 %, respectively, which were lower than the recommended species delineation thresholds of ANI (95%) and dDDH (70%). Based on the observed physiological properties, chemotaxonomic characteristics and ANI and dDDH values, FJAT-54423 T and FJAT-54424 belong to a novel species of the genus Brevibacillus , for which the name Brevibacillus composti sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is FJAT-54423 T (=GDMCC 1.2054 T =KCTC 43273 T ).

Occupational exposure to silica dust is related to pulmonary inflammation and silicosis. Lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) could aggravate apoptosis in alveolar macrophages (AMs) of human silicosis through autophagy, yet how the reduction of autophagy attenuated LPS-induced lung injury and the related mechanisms need to be investigated. In the study, we aim to understand the role of 3-methyladenine (3-MA), an inhibitor of autophagy, in LPS-mediated inflammatory responses and fibrosis. We collected AMs from observers/silicosis patients. The results showed that LPS induced NF-κB-related pulmonary inflammation in observers and silicosis patients, as confirmed by an increase in the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and p65, which could be inhibited by 3-MA treatment. In mice models, at the early stage (7d) of silicosis, but not the late (28d) stage, blocking autophagy reversed the increased levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and p65 caused by LPS. Mechanism study revealed that LPS triggered the expression of LC3 II, p62, and cleaved caspase-3 at the early stage exposed to silica, which could be restored by 3-MA, while there was no difference in the expression of LAMP1 either at the early or late stage of silicosis in different groups. Similarly, 3-MA treatment did not prevent fibrosis characterized by destroyed alveoli, collagen deposition, and increased expression of α-SMA and Col-1 induced by LPS at the late stage of silicosis. The results suggested that 3-MA has a role in the protection of lung injury at the early stage of silicosis and provided an experimental basis for preventive strategies of pulmonary inflammation and silicosis.

Two Gram-stain-negative, motile, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped strains, FJAT-53720 T and FJAT-53726, were isolated from rhizosphere sediment of plant Cyperus malaccensis . Phylogenetic analysis based on their 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains FJAT-53720 T and FJAT-53726 were affiliated to the genus Shewanella (forming an independent cluster) with the highest sequence similarity to the type strain of Shewanella algae . Optimum growth of both strains was observed at 30 °C and pH 7. The respiratory quinones were Q-7, Q-8 and MK-7. The polar lipid profile included phosphatidylmethyl ethanolamine, phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphatidylglycerol, one unidentified aminophospholipid and four unknown phospholipids. The major fatty acids of strains FJAT-53720 T and FJAT-53726 were iso-C 15:0, C 17 : 1 ω 8 c and summed feature 3. The genomic DNA G+C content of strain FJAT-53720 T was 55.6 mol%. The average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values between FJAT-53720 T and FJAT-53726 were 97.4 and 77.9 %, confirming that they were similar species and hence FJAT-53720 T was selected for further analysis. The ANI and dDDH values between FJAT-53720 T and other members of the genus Shewanella were below the cut-off level (95-96 %; 70 %) for species delineation. Based on the above results, FJAT-53720 T represents a novel species of the genus Shewanella , for which the name Shewanella cyperi sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is FJAT-53720 T (=KCTC 82444 T =GDMCC 1.2207 T ).

Phytoplankton and bacteria are crucial components of aquatic food webs, playing critical roles in the structure and function of freshwater ecosystems. However, there are few studies on how the algal and bacterial communities interact and respond to changing environmental conditions in the water reservoirs. Thus, the ecological interaction relationship between the temporal succession of the phytoplankton community and the bacterial community was investigated using 16S rDNA high-throughput sequencing and a co-occurrence network in the Lijiahe Reservoir. The results showed that Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta were also dominant taxa in the phytoplankton community. In August, Cyanobacteria replaced Bacillariophyta as the second-most dominant taxa, with an average relative abundance of 30.13%. DNA sequencing showed that Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Bacteroidetes dominated throughout the year. Proteobacteria reached a maximum relative abundance of 71.68% in July. Acidobacteria and Deinococcus-Thermus, which were rare taxa, reached maximum relative abundances of 10.20% and 5.56%, respectively. The co-occurrence network showed that the association between algae and bacteria was mainly positive, indicating that the interaction between them may be dominated by mutualism. As a keystone taxa, Methylotenera was significantly and positively related to Chlorella . Scenedesmus was also a keystone taxa and was significantly and negatively correlated with various bacteria, such as Methylobacter , Solitalea , and Rhodoferax . An RDA analysis showed that the succession of algal and bacterial communities was significantly regulated by water temperature, pH, and conductivity, and the environmental factors explained 93.1% and 90% of the variation in the algal community and bacterial community, respectively. The results will provide a scientific basis for exploring the micro-ecological driving mechanism of the interaction between algae and bacteria in deep drinking water reservoir ecosystems.

Solid phase extraction (SPE) and high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) were used to detect and analyze the distribution of 10 antibiotics including sulfonamides, fluoroquinolones, and macrolides in the Harbin section of Songhua River basin and Ashe River, a tributary of Songhua River. The correlation between the antibiotic concentration and water quality indexes was analyzed and the ecological risks were evaluated. The results showed that only six antibiotics were detected in the entry section of Harbin city on the Songhua River and the concentration was relatively low. However, nine antibiotics were detected in the exit section and only sulfamethazine (SM1) was not detected. The concentrations of macrolide antibiotics increased most significantly, followed by those of sulfonamides and fluoroquinolones. The inflow of three tributaries in Harbin city was the direct cause of the increase in antibiotic concentration in the Songhua River. Only sulfapyridine (SMPD) was not detected in the upper section of Ashe River. Ten antibiotics were detected in the section where the Ashe River enters the Songhua River. The other nine antibiotics were the highest except norfloxacin (NOR). Wastewater discharged from four sewage treatment plants along Ashe River is an important factor affecting the concentration of antibiotics in the Ashe River. Correlation analysis shows that three kinds of antibiotics in the Songhua River have certain positive correlations with ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, and total organic carbon. There is a significant positive correlation between the three kinds of antibiotics and ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus in the Ashe River system, indicating that the water quality indexes of the Harbin section of Songhua River and Ashe River are closely related to their antibiotic concentrations. The results of ecological risk assessment showed that macrolide antibiotics in the Harbin section of Songhua and Ashe Rivers had certain ecological risks.

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is widely used in industrial products, medical and health care products, and personal care products. In the treatment process of sewage, PDMS can be hardly biodegraded but enter the environment mainly through the discharge of excess sludge, and only a small amount of PDMS adsorbed on the suspended solids or sludge particle surface is discharged into water body and sediment with treated sewage. There is no enough evidence to verify that PDMS can vertically migrate in sediment. The degradation of PDMS in sediment is very slow, but PDMS can be degraded in different types of soils. PDMS has less risk to aquatic ecosystem, and no apparent acute toxicity to benthos. In soil environment, PDMS and its degradation products have no significant effects on the soil microorganisms, soil animals, and crops. Though a few studies indicated that PDMS and its degradation products have relatively low ecological toxicity in various environments, it is still very important to clarify the potential threat of PDMS to the environment because of the increasingly large number of PDMS being produced and used.
