Objectives: The purpose of this network meta-analysis (NMA) is to compare the effect of several psychosocial therapies on CRF critically.Methods: We applied systematic strategies based on eight databases, namely the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, China Biology Medicine (CBM), Wan Fang database, VIP, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database to preliminary literature retrieval to identify relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Studies, including adult patients (≥18 years) diagnosed with cancer, were eligible regardless of cancer stage and current treatment. We carried out an expression analysis for comparing the efficacy of various psychosocial therapies using Bayesian NMA. A battery of analyses and assessments, such as conventional meta-analysis and risk of bias, were performed concurrently.Results: We identified 41 RCTs including six different psychosocial interventions (4422 participants), namely cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy (MBSR), psychoeducational therapy (PE), stress management therapy (SMT), meditation therapy (MT) and comprehensive therapy (CT). Our NMA results showed that three psychosocial intervention therapies were effective for CRF in cancer patients. The most effective psychosocial intervention was MBSR (SMD = -1.23, CrI: -1.88, -0.59, SUCRA = 83.33%), followed by PE (SMD = -0.86, CrI: -1.53, -0.18, SUCRA = 58.51%) and CBT (SMD = -0.84, CrI: -1.31, -0.37, SUCRA = 57.67%).Conclusions: Our study showed that MBSR was most likely to be the best psychosocial intervention to relieve CRF in cancer patients. Background: Therapeutic monitoring of lithium (Li) is important because of its narrow therapeutic range and therapeutic index. Here, the authors present the evaluation of an accurate method for the determination of lithium in serum. Method: Serum samples were diluted with 0.3% ultrapure nitric acid and were spiked with an internal standard germanium (Ge). The Li/Ge ratio was detected in He mode; we utilized standard addition method to quantify lithium in human serum. The new inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) assay was characterized for linearity, specificity, imprecision, trueness, accuracy, and comparison. Results: The correlation coefficients (r) of linearity were all > 0.9999. The specificity proved to be good. The total coefficients of variation (CV) were 1.11% and 0.49% for the two serum samples. The mean bias from target values of standard reference materials (SRM 956d) was −0.71% for Level I, −017% for Level II, and 2.20 for Level III. External Quality Assessment Scheme for Reference Laboratories in Laboratory Medicine (RELA) gave satisfied results for the new method. Comparison with the ion-selective electrode routine method got reasonable results. Conclusion: This high accuracy method is an attractive alternative for lithium measurement and can be used as a candidate reference method to improve quality of serum lithium in China. This essay traces the development of China–India studies from the mid-nineteenth century to the present in order to take stock of the field, which has witnessed a surge in publication over the past two decades. The assessment presented here weaves the main shifts in China–India political relations with the emergence of various strands of China–India scholarship, since the two aspects often intersect. The major lacuna in the field, this essay argues, is a framework needed to analyze the complex connections and the pertinent comparisons between China and India. It contends that research on China–India topics should ideally attempt to combine comparative and connective frameworks with analyses that transcend geographic, temporal, and disciplinary boundaries to address this lacuna. Abstract Global solar radiation is a core component of scientific research and engineering application across a broad spectrum. However, its measurement is limited by a small number of stations due to the technical and financial restricts. Estimating solar radiation with the meteorological variables using empirical models is of benefit to obtain solar radiation data at global scale. Yet, there are various options of available empirical models to select the most suitable one. This study conducted a most comprehensive collection and review of empirical models employing the commonly measured meteorological variables and geographic factors. A total of 294 different types of empirical models were collected and classified into 37 groups according to input attributes. Such collection built an empirical model library providing an overall overview of the developed empirical models in literatures. Furthermore, the collected models were calibrated and evaluated at three meteorological stations in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area in China. This study suggests that these model-comparing processes can assist the governments, scientists and engineers in tailoring the most fitted model for specific applications and in particular areas. The new generation of Chinese rural-to-urban migrants, who were born after the 1980s, has played an increasingly significant role in the development of China. This paper explores the correlations between interpersonal trust and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of Chinese rural-to-urban migrants by comparing two generations. A survey (N = 769) was conducted on rural-to-urban migrants in Wuhan in 2012. Significant differences between the two generations emerged in terms of education, working hours, and other factors. First-generation migrants reported a higher level of trust in family, relatives, and neighbors compared with new-generation migrants. The new generation had better physical health and worse mental health. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model were employed. Results indicated that the new generation obtained more path coefficients that passed the significance tests; that is, interpersonal trust obtained more significant correlations with the new generation. The coefficient between workmate trust and vitality among new-generation migrants was the largest (5.293, P < 0.001), whereas the coefficient between family trust and vitality among first-generation migrants was the smallest (1.639, P < 0.05). The correlations between the six domains of interpersonal trust and HRQOL were balanced. The different backgrounds in upbringing, occupational and living conditions, changed values, and psychological characteristics were associated with these. This study highlighted the need to address the psychological concerns, treatment, and intervention of the new generation of Chinese rural-to-urban migrants. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
