This article discusses the local law in the region of Córdoba in New Andalusia in Argentina between 1573 and 1583. It examines the influence of Spanish law on the newly colonized province. The author analyzes the judicial activity and the development of legislation related to the indigenous population in the region. He also studies several pieces of legislation, including laws regarding Catholic missions, land distribution, and water regulation. An analysis of the local authorities and institutions in Córdoba is provided and their importance to law and legislation is also explored.
