Abstract

The article presents a study on the significance of Lidar and Radar active remote-sensing measurements to constrain the predictions regarding forest ecosystems and biosphere models. It mentions that the study was conducted to the La Selva Biological Station in Costa Rica considered as one of the most studied tropical forests. The study shows that the distributions of aboveground biomass (AGB) and canopy heights (H) were determined to be normal using Radar and Lidar measurements.
