The objective was determine the consumption and quality of one year old Trypsacum laxum forage, by offering it to goats in three treatments (7,5 %, 10 % and 12,5 % of body weight) without any chopping process. Goats showed highest consumption (2200 kg/day) (p<0,01), when fodder content was 7.5 % body weight, but the nutritional composition did not present any differences (p>0,05); between treatments crude protein levels (8.45 to 8.87 %) were acceptable for such an old forage material.
