Commercial and manufacturing activities of the what is nowadays thought of as the biggest food group NESTLÉ in the economic history of Czechoslovakia is still an unheeded theme. The construction of the firstly commercial and subsequently manufacturing representation in 1930s clearly shows the usage of the strategic position of the joined state of the Czechs and Slovaks. Due to the foundation of a factory whether in Moravian Krumlov or subsequently in Hlinsko in Bohemia, which were furbished with special machines and technologies for milk treating, the goods from the group NESTLÉ made with the local ingredients gradually came to the home market. These products such as condensed milk, milk powder, but especially baby food in powder, were not previously made in huge numbers in Czechoslovakia. NESTLÉ cannot be get rid of the first place in the sense that it was the first foreign company in Czechoslovakia in the food industry which focused on the production of baby food which was used for babies allergic to breast milk.
