The Triassic (232–233 Ma) Ildeus mafic-ultrabasic massif is a fragment of a large mineralized magmatogenic system formed within the Stanovoy Mobile Belt at the Mesozoic stage of its evolution. Ultrabasic rocks are represented by cumulative plagioclase- and amphibole-bearing dunites, peridotites, websterites, and pyroxenites; basic rocks are gabbro-anorthosites, norites, and two-pyroxene gabbro. Most intrusive rocks of the Ildeus magmatogenic system experienced ultramafic (serpentine, chlorite, talc, and carbonates) and acidic (quartz, biotite, potassium feldspar, and secondary micas) metasomatism. Geochemical characteristics (calc-alkaline differentiation trend, negative anomalies of highly-charged incoherent elements) indicate the subduction nature of the primary magma in the Ildeus system. The ultrabasic rocks are intruded by intermediate-acidic intrusions with geochemical characteristics of adakite. Magmatic-stage silver mineralization is represented by microinclusions of cuprous silver, alloys of silver, copper, gold and zinc, acanthite and silver halides in association with pentlandite, chalcopyrite, bornite, and pyrrhotite. These rocks are characterized by microinclusions of native platinum, gold, tungsten, bismuth, lead, PGE alloys, W–Co–Ti, Sb–Pb, Cu–Zn–Sn, minerals of Ag–Cu–Sb–Se–S and Zn–Ni–Co–Fe–S systems, barite, chlorapatite and Bi–Sn–Pb chlorides. At the metasomatic stage, native silver, Au–Ag alloys, silver and copper chlorides, acanthite, silver and lead tellurides coexist with, pyrite, sphalerite, galena, native nickel and gold, Cu–Zn alloys, sulfides of the Pb–As–Cu–Fe–S and bismuth chloride. At the magmatic stage, silver minerals crystallized under reducing conditions in the presence of high-temperature aqueous fluids enriched in sulfide sulfur, halogens, and volatile siderophile (W, Pt) and chalcophile (Ag, Bi, Sn, Sb, and Pb) metals that entered the primary melt from serpentinites, metamorphosed gabbroids, and metal-bearing pelagic sediments of the subducting oceanic plate. Metasomatic parageneses of silver minerals were formed under oxidized near-surface conditions with the participation of low-temperature water–salt solutions with elevated concentrations of sulfate sulfur, arsenic, and tellurium. A two-stage model is proposed for the formation of silver mineralization in the island-arc magmatic systems, where the high-temperature magmatic stage of the formation in deep crustal parts is replaced by low-temperature hydrothermal ore formation processes in near-surface conditions. Simple Summary: The leaf-mining moth Chrysaster ostensackenella (Fitch, 1859) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) is the North American species that damages the leaves of Robinia spp. (Fabaceae). Recently, it was detected on the introduced North American black locust Robinia pseudoacacia (Fabaceae) in East Asia (China, South Korea, Japan) and Europe (Italy). In July 2022, Ch. ostensackenella was for the first time found on the territory of Russia, in Primorsky Krai. We studied the bionomics of this invasive moth and highlighted the characteristics of leaf damage by which the presence of Ch. ostensackenella can be detected early. Furthermore, we DNA barcoded three moth specimens from Primorsky Krai and analyzed them against DNA barcodes of Ch. ostensackenella from invaded countries in Europe (Italy) and East Asia (South Korea and Japan) and the native range (North America). Overall, our findings suggest that Ch. ostensackenella distributed to East Asia from the USA directly, not through Europe, whereas to the Russian Far East, this invasive moth spread from early invaded East Asian countries, in particularly Japan. Here, we report the first detection of the North American leaf-mining moth Chrysaster ostensackenella (Fitch, 1859) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) on North American black locust Robinia pseudoacacia (Fabaceae) in Primorsky Krai (the Russian Far East) in July 2022. Overall, six moths were reared from the leaf mines and identified based on adult morphology (forewing pattern and male genitalia) and three of them were DNA barcoding. Description of the leaf mines that allowed us to distinguish the damage of Ch. ostensackenella from other gracillariids associated with R. pseudoacacia is provided. The phylogeographic analysis comparing the DNA barcodes from Russia with those from other invaded countries in Europe (Italy) and East Asia (South Korea and Japan) and from the native range (North America) was performed. Intraspecific genetic diversity reached 3.29%. Altogether, 10 haplotypes were revealed among 21 studied specimens in the Holarctic. The detection of one haplotype common for Japan and the USA (North Carolina) suggests that the invasion to East Asia could have happened from the USA directly, rather than through Europe. A shared haplotype defined for Japan and the Russian Far East points at a possible moth species' spread to Primorsky Krai from earlier invaded Hokkaido. Further distribution of Ch. ostensackenella in East Asia and Europe is expected, bearing in mind the wide planting of R. pseudoacacia in these continents. Furthermore, an accidental introduction of the moth to the Southern Hemisphere, where black locust was introduced, is not ruled out. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The lime leaf miner Phyllonorycter issikii (Kumata) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) is an east Asian pest, which has recently distributed across the Palaearctic. Here, we provide the novel data on the diversity of its parasitoids in the Russian Far East (native region) and western Siberia (invaded region). Overall, 19 parasitoids from the Eulophidae (17 species) and Braconidae (2 species) reared from the Ph. issikii larvae and pupae were identified based on morphology and/or DNA barcoding. Among them, 12 species were detected in the Primorskiy Territory (Russian Far East) and 10 species in the Novosibirsk Province (Western Siberia), with only 3 shared species, namely Chrysocharis laomedon (Walker), Elachertus inunctus Nees and Sympiesis gordius (Walker). Pleurotroppopsis japonica (Kamijo) is a novel record for Russia, whereas the other eight eulophids are novel for the Novosibisk Province and two for the Primorskiy Territory. The eulophid Mischotetrastichus nadezhdae (Kostjukov) was recorded as a parasitoid of Ph. issikii for the first time. Four new species were described from the Primorskiy Territory: Achrysocharoides nagasawi sp. nov., A. carinatus sp. nov., Cirrospilus ussuriensis sp. nov., Pholetesor nataliae sp. nov. For all parasitoids, the distribution and hosts are listed; the majority of the species are illustrated. The lime leaf-miner, Phyllonorycter issikii is an invasive micromoth with an unusually higher number of haplotypes in the invaded area (Europe, Western Siberia) compared to its putative native region (East Asia). The origin of the genetic diversity in the neocolonized region remains unclear. We surveyed over 15 thousand herbarium specimens of lime trees (Tilia spp.) collected across the Palearctic over a period of 252 years (1764–2016) looking for preserved larvae within the archival leaf mines. We found 203 herbarium specimens with leaf mines of Ph. issikii collected in East Asia, one of them dating back to 1830, i.e. 133 years before the description of the species. In contrast, only 22 herbarium specimens collected in the West Palearctic in the last three decades (1987–2015) carried leaf mines. DNA barcoding of archival specimens revealed 32 haplotypes out of which 23 were novel (not known from modern populations) and found exclusively in East Asia. Six haplotypes are shared between both native and invaded areas and only two were responsible for the recent invasion of the Western Palearctic. The origin and expansion of millennial-scale climate changes in the Earth's climate system, widely presented in different paleo records, remain important issues in the scientific community. In this study, we present a highly resolved record of the East Asian monsoon (EAM) over 123 to 30 ka, obtained from a new archive of millennial/centennial climate variability in the mid-latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere. We used sediments from the semi-enclosed Sea of Japan, which is a region with unique land, ocean, and atmospherice interactions. We obtained color lightness (CL) records of a sediment core recovered from the northwestern part of the Sea of Japan with a high temporal resolution comparable to that of the Chinese EAM records using the original photocolorimeter. The chronology of the studied core was established by correlating the Heinrich events with the measured CL, magnetic susceptibility, and chlorin content with color L* and magnetic susceptibility records of the well-dated Sea of Japan core MD01–2407 and subsequently by correlating the abrupt drops in CL with well-dated Greenland and Chinese interstadials within the established Heinrich events. To infer a new record of EAM evolution, we used the CL record of the studied core over 30–123 ka, when the sea level dropped below the present sea level <90 m, the deep-water ventilation did not change profoundly relative to the present and sediment geochemistry was mainly controlled by millennial-timescale climate changes, such as the Dansgaard–Oeschger (DO) cycles. By comparing the DO cycles inferred from different natural archives, such as δ18O records of Greenland ice core and Chinese caves and CL record of the Sea of Japan sediments, we discussed similarities and some peculiarities of the DO cycles evolution and its millennial scale variabilities recorded in the high, middle, and low latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere over 30–123 ka. • High resolution record of sediment color from the Japan Sea (JS) over last 120 ka. • Correlation of Dansgaard-Oeschger cycles between JS, Greenland and Asia monsoon. • DO cycles 17–5 recorded in three archives show oscillation typical for Greenland. • DO cycle 23 and 25 show different changes between records of three archives. • Such differences were likely ruled by special Pacific responses to N Atlantic changes.
