Abstract

The article explores various issues relating to the Stratford locality in London, England, as of March 2013. Particular focus is given to branding and regeneration efforts that took place in the area prior to the 2012 Olympic Games. Additional topics discussed include the design of the Westfield Stratford City shopping center in Stratford, the gentrification that has taken place in the neighborhood, and the political discourse related to the regeneration of Stratford.
