The internet development of the in the USA led to the necessity of adopting some regulations meant to facilitate its usage in good faith. Among its most important legislative acts there is the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA). Taking into account the fact that circumstances that determined the creation of this bill may be similar to those from other countries, could be ACPA be a proper model for the field of the domain names in Romania? Although the American system is incompatible to the European one and, thus, inapplicable in itself, the content of its ideas are most valuable and worth being preserved by our specialists.
