The need to harmonize medical education has been emphasized over the past two decades due to the increased mobility of medical doctors as well as other healthcare professionals. Poor health outcomes are more likely to be associated with socio-economic disparity rather than variations in medical practices, although the causes and consequences of such variations are not well studied. The article explores on the effect of refugee crisis in Europe to increase disparity in the health of women. It highlights the biological events of diseases with association of morbidity/mortality to genetic predisposition to disease, treatment response and unequal access to healthcare services. Hindrances in health services access such as poverty, communication barriers, and cultural beliefs and preferences, are also cited.
