The article considers the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which was originally established in 1951 as an 18-month program to help aid Palestinian refugees. The program has faced significant reductions in funding as the U.S. under President Donald Trump has greatly reduced American foreign aid & European funding has been tied to greater transparency of the agency.
