The article presents the author's opinion on the performance of the offshore wind industry in Europe. The author opines that the industry will need to deliver more returns on capital, if it planed to meet the expectations of its funders, by cost reduction. He comments, though this would be challenge due to the comparatively nascent stage of the industry, there is an opportunity to increase efficiency upto 25%. He suggests alignment of vision throughout the sector, including the supply chain.
