Abstract

The article discusses the dual challenge of the free market and social justice in the context of Christian faith in the U.S. and Europe. It cites the social movements that criticized the free market and constitutional democracy during the Enlightenment in the two continents. It looks at the Christian ethics and public engagement along with social justice that regulate capital and labor in the tide of globalization.
