This study is a doctrinaire material in European law of human rights matter and succesional law domain, the last one being a part of civil law. Its purpose is to review if there is an influence of Article no.8 from European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, which is regulating right to respect for private and family life, upon Romanian inheritance law and what it consists in. The utilized materials are bibliographical sources, which include European Convention on Human Rights and national legislation, legal literature and European Court of Human Rights case-law. The used methods belong to law science research methods and they are logical method and comparative method. The Convention was done at Rome, on 4th of November 1950 and amended and supplemented by sixteen Protocols. Our approach is interdisciplinary, in two domains: both in European law of human rights matter and national succesional law field. The results of this study are identification and review of impact of Article no.8 from European Convention on Human Rights upon Romanian succesional law. Conclusions present the importance of agency of Article no.8 from Convention upon this inheritance law. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
