Kemira is increasing its production of calcium sulfate pigments in Siilinjärvi by 25 000 tons to 175 000 tons. The investment is worth €4.9 million. Abstract

The article reports that Kemira is evaluating plans for its pigments and Chemidet businesses. The pigments business produces titanium dioxide at Pori, Finland, operates a technology center in Germany and owns TRI-K Industries, a cosmetics ingredient supplier. Those businesses are part of the Kemira Specialty division. The business reported sales of € 230 million last 2006, and focuses on the flexible packaging and cosmetics industries.
