This article reports on the request by U.S. President George W. Bush to Congress to help hurricane-battered Florida dean up and rebuild. In the Sept 14 request, $2 billion would go to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, $457 million to the Small Business Administration and $150 million to the Housing and Urban Development Department. The Corps of Engineers would get $118 million to restore navigation channels or coastal areas and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration would receive $126 million to repair Kennedy Space Center facilities and equipment.
