NATURALISM in literature , *CHRISTIANITY in literature - Abstract
The author presents a criticism of J. -K. Huysmans's novel "Les Foules de Lourdes." According to the author, Huysmans's novel represents a literature of the miraculous, turning naturalism against itself to prove the existence of a supernatural agency. The author examines Huysmans's work as art, his travels to Lourdes, France, ideas of disease and health, and spiritual naturalism. Themes relating to God and Christ are also discussed.
