Abstract

The article focuses on the French and German economic relation. According to the author partnership between the two nation weakened when French President Francois Hollande failed to renegotiate the European Union (EU) budgetary pact that was backed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Also discussed is France's unemployment rate of 11% as against to Germany's 6%, it shows that their economies are no longer in sync.
