The article discusses the highlights of the Betelgeuse workshop held at the Paris Observatory in France from November 26-29, 2012. A comprehensive description of the various regions constituting Betelgeuse was one of the goals of the workshop, the authors say. The total number of oral contributions and posters presented at the event was 29. The workshop also featured a guided tour by astronomists James Lequeux and Fran¸ois Sèvre.
