Abstract

The article discusses a study to determine the association between GAS6 rs8191974 polymorphism and patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction (AMI). A definition of the AMI is presented. The authors conclude that rs8191974 polymorphism was not found associated with carotid atherosclerosis, but rather MERTK and TYRO3 receptor gene polymorphism.
