Examines changes in ultraviolet attenuation and macrozooplankton community structure in a set of lakes along a deglaciation chronosequence in Glacier Bay, Alaska. Patterns of distribution and abundance of the zooplankton; Differences in species composition among lakes; Linkage between development of terrestrial plant communities, lake hydrology changes and the early succession of communities after deglaciation.
