Abstract

The article describes the case of a 54-acre parcel of unincorporated land surrounded by the City of Glendale, Arizona on which the U.S. Department of the Interior plans to build a Las Vegas style casino. The plans have evoked vigorous opposition by legislative and executive branch leaders and an Indian tribe. Plaintiffs have asked the U.S. Court to set aside the plan under statutes dealing with Indian lands and gaming, as well as the U.S. Constitution.
