The article provides information on Sudoku puzzles including its history and its three types that are associated with science and chemistry. It was first published in the U.S. in 1979 by architect and puzzle constructor Howard Garns but got its Japanese name in 1984 which means single number. It became popular to the students of the Columbia College in Chicago who created three types of it and use light science and chemistry terms and taught in the nonmajor course, Chemistry of Art and Color. It is a puzzle of logic and reason that has six or nine terms that must only be use either in a row, column or box with the choice of using Arabic numerals or chemical and scientific symbols.
