Background: This research article examines the efficiency with which the Indian family planning programme provides care to Muslim women who opt to undergo tubectomies from public health facilities in terms of access to benefits/compensation as well as quality of services. The research subsequently intends to suggest suitable policies of affirmative action if required. Methods: The research uses data from the women's file from the latest round of the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5, 2019–21). Adjusted odds ratios are used to examine the likelihood of Muslim women (i) receiving compensations offered for undergoing tubectomies in public health facilities by the government, (ii) receiving comprehensive information prior to their tubectomies and (iii) reporting a good quality of care during their procedures, in comparison with non-Muslim women. Results: The findings from the research indicate that Muslim women in India have lower odds of receiving state sponsored compensations in comparison with non-Muslim women in India (AOR = 0.67; CI: 0.60—0.76). Consequently, a lesser proportion of Muslim women reported receiving compensations in comparison with non-Muslim women. The difference in the receipt of compensations was 18 percentage points between both cohorts. Critically, despite their challenges in obtaining compensations, the findings from this research also indicate how Muslim women in India have higher odds of receiving comprehensive family planning information prior to their operation in comparison with non-Muslim women (AOR = 1.15; CI: 1.02—1.29). Discussion: Given the existing dearth of evidence in family planning literature on the issue, this research article calls for greater attention and investments in understanding the reproductive health vulnerabilities of Indian Muslims, especially in the context of increasing social hostilities towards the community in India. In this regard, to promote the equitable delivery of family planning services, the findings from this research highlight the urgent need for institutional reforms that facilitate an easier access to public benefits among Indian Muslims. BACKGROUND: Mercury (Hg) is a toxic heavy metal with multiple uses in various medical devices. Hg is used in dentistry as a restorative material. Such use creates significant exposure to dental practitioners. Hence, it is important to assess the risk created by Hg use in healthcare. OBJECTIVE: To quantify airborne Hg vapour exposure and Hg levels in dental healthcare workers, and determine the association of various symptoms and diseases to Hg exposure. METHODS: Air monitoring of Hg vapours were conducted in dental clinics and amalgam rooms. Urine samples were collected from occupationally exposed dental healthcare workers and urine Hg levels were measured. A cross-sectional health survey was conducted in 23 healthcare units of Delhi to determine an association between Hg exposure and various health effects. RESULTS: Hg vapour concentration ranged from 0.96μg/m3 to 15μg/m3, the highest concentration was recorded in the amalgam room (15μg/m3). Urine Hg levels in healthcare workers (0.51±0.17μg/L) were higher than the control (0.29±0.05μg/L). A cross-sectional health survey revealed a significant prevalence of confusion, forgetfulness, muscle spasm, and tremors by the respondents. CONCLUSION: Hg concentration in dental clinics may hover above the prescribed safe levels posing a definitive health risk to healthcare workers. Urinary Hg measurements did not reveal an excess of body burden except in one case. Since Hg bio accumulates, it is probable as these workers grow older, they may end up with a higher body burden of Hg that may lead to a variety of adverse health outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Scarcity and quality of irrigation water restrict sustainability of wheat production in arid and semi-arid regions. Deficit saline irrigation up to 65% of full water requirement can reduce the salt load along with water saving. Plant bioregulators (PBRs) are phytohormones that regulate physiological and biochemical reactions in plants and respond to variety of abiotic stresses. But the field scale quantification of mitigating effect of PBRs application at representative sites having multiple stresses (deficit water and salinity) is rare. Present study was carried out for two successive years from 2016–17 to 2017–18 at ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Institute (ICAR-CSSRI) research farm, Nain, Panipat, Haryana, India, to assess the effectiveness of two PBRs, i.e., salicylic acid (SA) and thiourea (TU). In a triple replicated, split–split design experiment, two PBRs applied as seed priming and foliar sprays at booting and milking (critical stages) stages in alleviation of adverse effects of deficit (60, 80 and 100% of crop evapo-transpiration) and saline (ECiw; 2, 4, 8, 12 dS m−1) irrigation on wheat variety KRL 210. The grain yield reduction under 8 and 12 dS m−1 were 7.68 and 32.93%, respectively. Higher irrigation amount using highest salinity water (100% ETc + 12 dS m−1) caused maximum reduction in grain yield. Application of SA and TU increased grain yield by 12.90 and 17.36%, respectively. Water and salinity (≥ 8 dS m−1) adversely affected the spikes and grains number (m−2), relative water content (RWC), proline, membrane injury (MI), Fv/Fm, chlorophyll content (Chl) and Na/K ratio. Positive response of PBRs increased with increasing intensity of both the stresses. At mild salinity (4 dS m−1), SA performed better than TU, but at severe salinity (12 dS m−1), TU performed better than SA. Despite several efforts to bring about a clear phenomenon of virtual teams, there is still some confusion as to how virtual teams should be defined. It is probably because the characteristics of virtual teams and relationships among them have not been consistent. To address this gap, the present study explores the nature of virtual teams by analysing the perceptions of 23 professional students' pursuing full time two year Masters Programme in Business Administration, adopting the content analysis method. On the basis of multi-stage coding scheme and mutual consensus, five dimensions emerged. Results of the study, revealed that descriptors were more focused on structural, physical and technological dimensions as compared to task and social dimensions. Finally, the emerging categories were classified and arranged by using "Network View," feature embedded in Atlas.ti7 to analyse their conceptual relationship. The study may provide inputs towards building a consistent and larger understanding of how virtual teams can be defined. Based on the findings of the study, further research implications are discussed.

Introduction: Head and neck malignancies are responsible for 30% of all cancers in India with a dramatic increase in numbers due to widespread tobacco consumption. This study aims to assess the epidemiological and histopathological spectrum of these tumors. Materials and Methods: A large retrospective review of 5469 biopsy-proven patients presenting between 2018 and 2022 with head and neck cancers was done. Tumors were analysed for distribution according to sites of presentations, gender, age and histopathological profiles. Results: With a male-to-female ratio of 4.2:1, men constituted 80.80% of the study population. Mean age of presentation in women was 53.5 years, whereas men presented at an earlier age of 47.2 years. Oral cavity was the commonest site involved (59.7% cases) followed by the oropharynx (23.8% cases). Buccal mucosa was the commonest subsite involved with 1112 cases followed by tongue lesions with 1088 cases. Larynx was responsible for 17.04% of cases. All subsites were more commonly affected in men with the highest Male: Female ratio of 8.29:1 seen in larynx. The lowest ratio of 1.02:1 was seen in lesions of the face and scalp. Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) was the most common histopathological diagnosis encountered in 88.97% of cases followed by basal cell carcinoma which was seen in 2.10% lesions. Conclusion: Oral cavity lesions constitute the bulk of head and neck cancer presentations in India. The disease is more prevalent in men overall and men present at a younger age in comparison to women. SCC is the most prominent histopathology encountered in our study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The demand for vegetables in India is substantial, driven by widespread vegetarian dietary preferences. However, the supply often falls short due to the inability to grow all types of vegetables throughout the year. This emphasizes the significance of off-season vegetable cultivation, offering a solution for year-round production, controlling price fluctuations during off-seasons, and ensuring accessibility for people across different economic classes. Off-season cultivation plays a pivotal role in addressing nutritional deficiencies and providing economic returns to farmers, especially during periods of market surplus and falling prices. Consequently, there has been a notable increase in off-season cultivation practices, where crops are grown outside the regular cropping calendar to counter supply shortages and capitalize on high market prices. Various methods are employed for cultivating off-season vegetables, including leveraging a country's agro-climatic diversity, using different varieties, cultivating in diara lands/riverbeds, and employing protected cultivation. However, this review specifically focuses on diara/riverbed and protected cultivation of vegetables for their off-season production. While these practices have shown promise, ensuring consistent technical support, training, and a reliable supply of inputs like seeds and fertilizers, along with market information, is crucial for sustaining the adoption of agricultural technologies. Long-term success depends on accessible extension services, and the combined impact of various technologies contributes to improved off-season agricultural practices. This underscores the importance of farmer-centric policies in guiding enduring technology adoption. The interest and importance of studying the reproductive strategies of Palaeozoic plants are growing. Fossil seeds play an essential role in this line of study, as they are widely described from different sedimentary formations throughout the Permian period. The Indian Permian Seed Database (IPSD) software will be an information system for ensuring the storage, safety, accessibility and recovery of the details of Indian Permian seed records in a selective manner. The current database includes 28 genera and 44 species of compressed seeds described from Lower Gondwana (Permian), with all the details for researchers. The software provides options for addition, deletion, modification and search facility. The search also includes different options (single or combination). It is a quick and organised way to look for seeds, especially on a data grid for information about seeds that have already been published in the same or different sediments. IPSD is a tool for the computer-based identification of seeds and distinguishing different genera or species within the same category. It is user-friendly and provides updated knowledge of seeds from the Lower Gondwana basins of India. It provides morphotaxonomical characters, distribution and photo documentation of seeds. The software increases accuracy through computerassisted identification of seeds. The impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues unabated. Still, it seems that apart from contact and respiratory transmission, the design and development pattern of an area does echoes to be a contributing factor in virus spreadability. The present study considers land use and transportation system parameters under TOD mode of 16 BRT station provinces in Bhopal, India, and COVID-19 cases data were collected from April 2020 to August 2020. Further, the Pearson correlation and mediational analysis were employed to determine the relationship between TODness and COVID-19 spread cases. The bootstrapping method was used to evaluate the mediation effect and describe why and under what conditions they are related. The study shows that TODness and COVID-19 spread cases are positively correlated. The results show a considerable correlation at (p < 0.05) is 0.405 of the dispersed along with TODness of an area in the analysed 16 BRT station areas. In particular, dispersed demonstrated a high-level correlation of 0.681 with TOD areas, whereas a moderate correlation of 0.322 with non-TOD areas was mediated by diversity and the number of available transit service indicators. Diversity and availability of high-quality transit services effectively spread the virus, whereas population density and public transport mediation effects are insignificant. This study investigates the groundwater quality in the Kadiri Basin, Ananthapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Groundwater samples from 77 locations were collected and tested for the concentration of various physicochemical parameters. The collected data were assimilated in the form of a groundwater quality index to estimate groundwater quality (drinking and irrigation) using an information entropy-based weight determination approach (EWQI). The water quality maps obtained from the study area suggest a definite trend in groundwater contamination of the study area. Furthermore, the influence of different physicochemical parameters on groundwater quality was determined using machine learning techniques. Learning and prediction accuracies of four different techniques, namely artificial neural network (ANN), deep learning (DL), random forest (RF), and gradient boosting machine (GBM), were investigated. The performance of the ANN model (MEA = 11.23, RSME = 21.22, MAPE = 7.48, and R2 = 0.91) was found to be highly effective for the present dataset. The ANN model was then used to understand the relative influence of physicochemical parameters on groundwater quality. It was observed that the deterioration in groundwater quality in the study area was primarily due to the excess concentration of turbidity and iron values. The relatively higher concentration of sulfate and nitrate had caused a significant impact on the groundwater quality. Introduction: Depigmented skin lesions are commonly encountered in day-to-day practice and can cause significant social stigma. They are challenging to diagnose clinically and histopathologically. Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis (IGH), a pigmentary condition commonly affecting older individuals, can lead to cosmetic deformity and have a significant psychological impact. Dermoscopic evaluation offers a quick and easy way to resolve diagnostic confusion and prevent unnecessary biopsies. Aim: To study the clinical and dermoscopic features of IGH. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted in the Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprosy at Chirayu Medical College and Hospital, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (MP), India from July 2021 to June 2022. A total of 180 patients with IGH lesions underwent a detailed clinical history, dermatological and systemic examinations, followed by dermoscopic examination. The collected data were statistically analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0, and the results were tabulated in terms of distribution, frequency, and mean±Standard Deviation (±SD). Results: Among the 180 patients, the most affected age group was 51-60 years. A total of 108 (60%) were females and 72 (40%) were males. The most common site of involvement was the distal part of the lower extremity in 152 (84.4%) cases, followed by the distal part of the upper extremity in 115 (63.8%) cases. A total of 46 (25.5%) patients had a history of excessive sun exposure. Additionally, 21 (11.6%) patients had other associated features of photoaging, such as xerosis, solar lentigo, seborrhoeic keratosis, freckles, and actinic keratosis. The most common dermoscopic pattern observed was amoeboid in 103 (57.2%) patients, followed by feathery in 41 (22.7%), petaloid in 23 (12.7%), nebuloid in 13 (7.2%), and a combination of patterns in six percent of patients. Conclusion: The IGH was more common in females and older age groups, with the distal parts of the lower extremity being the most frequently involved site. Excessive sun exposure was a common risk factor for IGH, and several patients may have associated signs of photoaging. The most common dermoscopic pattern observed was amoeboid. Therefore, clinical dermoscopic examination can be helpful in identifying IGH and differentiating it from other depigmented lesions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ethical workplace climate has been extensively researched in the for‐profit context but neglected in nonprofits. Perhaps because nonprofits promote shared values, engage with people, and implement development interventions creating public good, they are considered implicitly ethical. This assumption has been questioned in recent studies. We attempted to develop a psychometrically valid scale measuring ethical workplace climate following a sequential research design to fill this gap. We interviewed 74 employees from 30 nonprofit organizations using the critical incident technique to generate statements on ethical workplace climate. The statements generated were categorized with expert judges' help, followed by a survey of 507 nonprofit employees across India. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and subsequent confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) resulted in a 43‐item scale, further reduced to 26 items using stepwise regression. Results of subsequent application of EFA and CFA confirmed a four‐factor solution: self‐interest, collegiality, internal legitimacy, and stewardship. A follow‐up study of 243 members of nonprofit organizations confirmed the hypothesized relationships that ethical work climate has a significant effect on affective commitment and job engagement. Human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) clade C is the most prevalent form of HIV-1 comprising nearly 46% of global infections and is the dominant subtype in India. Despite its predominance, the impact of HIV-1 clade C infection on cognitive function has been understudied in comparison with other subtypes, notably clade B, which is primarily found in Europe and North America. Few studies have assessed cognitive impairment in antiretroviral therapy (ART) naïve men and women with HIV-1 clade C infection. In this study conducted in Northern India, differences in neuropsychological functioning were compared between 109 participants (70 men, 39 women) with untreated HIV-1 clade C infection and 110 demographically matched healthy controls (74 men, 36 women). A comprehensive neuropsychological battery was used to examine depression, self-assessment of functioning, and cognitive performance in six domains of functioning. Group differences were assessed by HIV-1 status and sex, controlling for age and education. Results indicated that cognitive deficits were substantially greater among male participants with HIV-1 clade C compared to male controls in all domains of cognitive functioning; in contrast, women with HIV-1 clade C had only minor deficits compared to healthy female participants. In addition, a larger proportion of men with HIV-1 clade C exhibited high levels of depression than women with HIV-1 clade C. These findings suggest that untreated HIV-1 clade C infection in men can have debilitating effects on neuropsychological function and depression, and stress the importance of facilitating rapid access to treatment to reduce the impact of HIV-1 infection. The present research work attempts to understand the organo-petrological facets of the lignite hosted in the Tertiary successions in Rajasthan. The maceral diversity was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively which recorded huminite as the dominant microscopic constituent followed by inertinite and liptinite. The rank parameter of coal evaluated through vitrinite reflectance measurement random (VRo) shows the values vary between 0.19 to 0.27% suggesting lignite in rank. The petrographic investigation point towards the primary phase of degradation of organic matter corroborated through the dominance of huminite suggesting frequent flooding and the presence of funginite, demonstrating intense fungal activity in the mire. The paleodepositional model records elevated values of gelification Index (GI) ranging from 1.63 to 3.88 with well-preserved cell structures pointing towards an early phase of coalification. Malnutrition in low- and middle-income countries causes cognitive decline and other health problems. Harmonized Diagnostic Assessment of Dementia for Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI DAD) is an extensive study on late-life cognition and dementia. This study examines the link between nutrition and cognitive abilities in older adults using data from the LASI DAD. We conducted descriptive statistics on nutritional parameters (body-mass index, waist-hip ratio, and Mini-Nutritional Assessment), cognitive functions, and socio-demographic variables in 2,892 adults aged ≥60 years. Cognitive domains assessed included delayed recall, orientation, language, executive function, abstract reasoning, and attention. Cognitive impairment was defined as impaired performance in two or more domains. Mean age was 69.3 ± 7.1 years, 52.9% were female, and 57.5% were illiterate. Low body-mass index (adjusted OR: 1.88, p <.001), at risk of malnutrition (adjusted OR: 1.89, p <.001) and malnourished (adjusted OR: 2.86, p <.001) on Mini-Nutritional Assessment were associated with the presence of cognitive impairment. Better cognitive performance was associated with increased body mass index (adjusted OR: 0.74, p -.03), hemoglobin (adjusted OR: 0.91, p -.006), and serum albumin (adjusted OR: 0.38, p <.001). Non-communicable Diseases such as anaemia, hypertension and diabetes and their treatment may upsurge the risk of childbirth-related complications for both women and their babies. The present study is an attempt to assess the level and determinants of Anaemia, Hypertension and Diabetes among pregnant women using the fourth round of National Family Health Survey-4 (2015-16) data. Bivariate and logistic regression techniques have been used for data analysis. Study findings suggest that the prevalence of anaemia among pregnant women was found to be 25.9%, whereas the corresponding figure for hypertension and diabetes were 4.4% and 2.4%, respectively. Further, substantial socio-economic differentials have been observed in the prevalence of Anaemia, Hypertension and Diabetes among pregnant women. Results of regression analysis suggest that anaemia and hypertension were significantly higher among women in their third trimester [(OR = 2.10; p < 0.001) and (OR = 1.63; p < 0.001)], respectively, compared to women in the first trimester. Similarly, pregnant women in the age group 35-49 were at an elevated risk of hypertension (OR = 2.78; p < 0.001)) and diabetes (OR = 2.50; p < 0.001)) compared to women aged 15-24. Further, the risk of anaemia was found to be significantly lower among pregnant women from the richest quintile (OR = 0.71; p < 0.001) and women with higher educational level (OR = 0.72; p < 0.001) when compared to women from the poorest wealth quintile and women with no formal education respectively. Similarly, pregnant women from the richest quintile (OR = 1.68; p < 0.001) and women from other religion (OR = 1.75; p < 0.001) are significantly more likely to develop diabetes compared to women from the poorest quintile and women from the Hindu religion, respectively. In conclusion, early screening for predicting the risk of gestational anaemia, gestational diabetes, and gestational hypertension is critical in minimizing maternal and reproductive outcomes. The existing guidelines for Screening and Management of Gestational Diabetes, Gestational Hypertension need to be contextualized and modified according to a local need for effective treatment. A sound corporate governance (CG) system in the mining sector ought to promote resource utilization while adhering to the principles of accountability and responsibility. In this case, it is curious that so little attention has been paid to understand the CG structures and practices of the mining industry. Therefore, this paper aims to unearth the CG practices of Indian mining through a uniform and structured CG Index. The paper develops a CG index to measure the CG performance across a range of CG structures. The data for this study was extracted from 2012–2013 to 2020–2021 for 11 mining companies in India. The sample companies constitute 78.23% of the total market cap of NSE 500 metal and mining companies. T-test was conducted to test the differences between the CG characteristics of the sample companies on various levels. This study highlights the CG practices within the mining industry of India. The findings of this study can come handy to assess the CG performance of mining companies in not just emerging economies but for the developed ones too. In India, agriculture serves as the backbone of the economy, and is a primary source of employment. Despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the agriculture and allied sectors in India exhibited resilience, registered a growth of 3.4% during 2020–2121, even as the overall economic growth declined by 7.2% during the same period. The improvement of the agriculture sector holds paramount importance in sustaining the increasing population and safeguarding food security. Consequently, researchers worldwide have been concentrating on digitally transforming agriculture by leveraging advanced technologies to establish smart, sustainable, and lucrative farming systems. The advancement in remote sensing (RS) and machine learning (ML) has proven beneficial for farmers and policymakers in minimizing crop losses and optimizing resource utilization through valuable crop insights. In this paper, we present a comprehensive review of studies dedicated to the application of RS and ML in addressing agriculture-related challenges in India. We conducted a systematic literature review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines and evaluated research articles published from 2015 to 2022. The objective of this study is to shed light on the application of both RS and ML technique across key agricultural domains, encompassing "crop management", "soil management", and "water management, ultimately leading to their improvement. This study primarily focuses on assessing the current status of using intelligent geospatial data analytics in Indian agriculture. Majority of the studies were carried out in the crop management category, where the deployment of various RS sensors led yielded substantial improvements in agricultural monitoring. The integration of remote sensing technology and machine learning techniques can enable an intelligent approach to agricultural monitoring, thereby providing valuable recommendations and insights for effective agricultural management. Irrational use of chemical fertilizers creates harmful effects on soil health and thus, led to a drop in crop productivity in the Indo-Gangetic Plains region (IGPR) of India. Organic nutrient sources such as Panchagavya and PGPR can be used to replace some proportion of chemical fertilizers to sustain productivity and soil health in the IGPR belt. This study was undertaken to determine the effect of integrated use of chemical fertilizers, organic manures and bio-fertilizers such as Panchagavya and PGPR on the productivity and economic feasibility of different maize cultivars. Results indicated that the J-1006 cultivar showed significantly higher fodder yield, nutrient use efficiencies and profitability than P-3396 and African Tall during both years. Though, nutrient content and accumulation were statistically at par with J-1006 and P-3396, but superior over African Tall. Among nutrient management, the maize fertilized with 75% RDF + PGPR +Panchagavya spray showed significantly higher fodder yield, nutrient content, accumulation, nutrient use efficiencies and net returns compared to control and 100% RDF. Overall, the growing of maize cv. J-1006 with the application of 75% RDF + PGPR + Panchagavya spray can be recommended to enhance fodder productivity, nutrient accumulation and profitability in the IGPR belt of India. Background: The clinical profile of hospitalized moderate-category COVID-19 patients has been understudied globally and in India. Aim: The present study was conducted to study the clinical profile and assess the proportions of patients who progressed to severe disease and its predictors among moderate COVID-19 patients. Materials and Methods: In this single-center observational study, 100 moderate-category COVID-19 patients as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) criteria of age ≥18 years of either sex, excluding pregnant females from February to November 2021, were studied by analyzing their clinical profiles and assessing Quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (qSOFA), National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS-2), and chest computed-tomography severity score (CTSS) to predict progression to severe disease. Severe disease was defined as per MoHFW criteria. Results: Out of 100 moderate-category COVID-19 patients, progression to severe disease was seen in 11 patients (11%), among which eight patients had expired, three patients were discharged, and the rest of the 89 patients (89%) who did not progress to severe disease were discharged. A higher age (62.2± 19.5 vs 54.8 ± 14.6 years), along with multivariate analysis revealing male sex (1.25 times), chronic kidney disease (2.86 times), leukocytosis (6.10 times), thrombocytopenia (1.04 times), anemia (9.3 times), a higher qSOFA score (3.6 times), and a higher NEWS-2 score on admission (1.56 times) had higher odds of progression to severe disease. A significant correlation (P < .05) of qSOFA score with serum LDH, ferritin, and hs-CRP levels; CT severity score with the serum ferritin, IL-6, and LDH levels; and NEWS-2 with serum LDH, hs-CRP, and ferritin levels were found. Moreover, the NEWS-2 score was found slightly better than qSOFA on receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, with an area under the curve of 85.8% and 83.2%, respectively, predicting progression to severe disease. Conclusion: Our study revealed male gender, chronic kidney disease, leukocytosis, anemia, thrombocytopenia, a higher qSOFA and NEWS-2 score on admission, and further, NEWS-2 score better than qSOFA on ROC curve analysis, with an area under the curve of 85.8% and 83.2%, respectively, in predicting severe disease among hospitalized moderate COVID-19 patients. Background: Precise prognostication is the key to optimum and effective treatment planning for early-stage hormone receptor (HR) positive, HER2/neu negative breast cancer patients. Differences in the breast cancer incidence and tumor anatomical features at diagnosis, pharmacogenomics data between Western and Indian women along with the vast diversity in the economic status and differences in insurance policies of these regions; suggest recommendations put forward for Western women might not be applicable to Indian/Asian women. Opinions from oncologists through a voting survey on various prognostic factors/tools to be considered for planning adjuvant therapy are consolidated in this report for the benefit of oncologists of the sub-continent, SAARC and Asia's LMIC (low and middle-income countries). Methods: A three-phase DELPHI survey was conducted to collect opinions on prognostic factors considered for planning adjuvant therapy in early-stage HR+/HER2/neu negative breast cancer patients. A panel of 25 oncologists with expertise in breast cancer participated in the survey conducted in 2021. The experts provided opinions as 'agree' or disagree' or 'not sure' in phases-1 and 2 which were conducted virtually; in the final phase-3, all the panel experts met in person and concluded the survey. Results: Opinions on 41 statements related to prognostic factors/tools and their implications in planning adjuvant endocrine/chemotherapy were collected. All the statements were supported by the latest data from the clinical trials (prospective/retrospective). The statements with opinions of consensus less than 66% were disseminated in phase-2, and later in phase-3 with supporting literature. In phase-3, all the opinions from panelists were consolidated and guidelines were framed. Conclusions: This consensus guideline will assist oncologists of India, SAARC and LMIC countries in informed clinical decision-making on adjuvant treatment in early HR+/HER2/neu negative breast cancer patients. Approximately 6 million neonatal deaths occur globally, with approximately 99 percent of them occurring in developing countries. This study is an attempt to examine the prevalence and influence of non-biological factors on perinatal mortality in India. National Family Health Survey (2015-2016) data and bivariate and multivariate techniques have been used to fulfill the aforesaid objectives. Findings suggest that approximately 47 perinatal deaths occurred per 1,000 pregnancies lasting seven or more months during the last five years preceding the survey in Uttar Pradesh. Parental education, wealth status, variables related to pregnancy and delivery, mother's demographic factors, mother's height, and child characteristics have shown significant impact on perinatal mortality. For a policy point of view, more emphasis is needed on quality of care of National Health Mission (NHM) strategy at times of greater risk—that is, birth and the first few days of life—which could be the way forward for reducing high perinatal deaths. Mpox (previously known as Monkeypox) has recently re‐emerged, primarily through human‐to‐human transmission in non‐endemic countries including India. Virus isolation is still considered as the gold standard for diagnosis of viral infections. Here, the qPCR positive skin lesion sample from a patient was inoculated in Vero E6 cell monolayer. Characteristic cytopathic effect exhibiting typical cell rounding and detachment was observed at passage‐02. The virus isolation was confirmed by qPCR. The replication kinetics of the isolate was determined that revealed maximum viral titre of log 6.3 PFU/mL at 72 h postinfection. Further, whole genome analysis through next generation sequencing revealed that the Mpox virus (MPXV) isolate is characterized by several unique SNPs and INDELs. Phylogenetically, it belonged to A.2 lineage of clade IIb, forming a close group with all other Indian MPXV along with few from USA, UK, Portugal, Thailand and Nigeria. Background Maternal health care financing is key to the smooth functioning of health systems in a country. In India, maternal health care still persists as a major public health issue. Adequate health insurance could transform the utilization of maternal health care services. Therefore, we aim to examine the health insurance policies that cover maternal health and their performance in India. Methods The unit-level data of social consumption on health by the National Sample Survey Organizations, conducted in India (2017–18), are used. Bivariate analysis, logistic regression and propensity scoring matching are applied. Results About 14.1% women are covered by health insurance support at the national level. Uninsured women are less likely to receive full antenatal care (ANC) services and institutional delivery. Socio-economic characteristics play a significant role in utilizing maternal health care benefits through health insurance support. Conclusions Our study concludes that the health insurance coverage is the most significant contributor to the better utilization of full ANC and institutional delivery at the national level and hindrances in accessing them. There is a need for proactive and inclusive policy development by the Government of India to incentivize public financing through health insurance, which can shrink the challenges of public health burden and reduce the health risk. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explicate the relationship between knowledge-based dynamic capacities (KBDC) and innovation-based performance (INPF) in information technology (IT) firms in India by examining the mediating impact of absorptive capacity (ABCP). The paper aims to determine whether and how the ABCP of the firms is recognized as the essential facilitator of INPF. Design/methodology/approach: A survey of 511 respondents from Indian IT employees at the upper and middle management levels was undertaken. In this study, the partial least squares (PLS) technique explored the causal links between constructs with the use of the software application SMART-PLS 3.0. Findings: The outcomes of this study proved the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the ABCP and INPF of information technology firms. Furthermore, ABCP's influence as a mediator between KBDC and INPF is significant. Therefore, findings imply that ABCP mediates the relationship between KBDC and INPF, however, only to some extent. Research limitations/implications: With the dynamism of the global market, the research has made significant gains in illustrating the criticality of ABCP for strengthening its KBDC in a much-needed Indian context. Therefore, following the recommendations and findings of this study, practitioners should concentrate on strengthening both ABCP and KBDCs to improve their INPF. To do this, managers must proactively organize their resources, procedures, and structure to promote knowledge absorption and dissemination, fostering innovation. Background: While attempting hardware removal, intraoperative challenges and hardware removal strategy vary in each case. Only a few nail removal techniques are reported in the literature. Surgeon’s understanding and resolution of these rather challenging situations improve with experience and exposure. Patients having healed tibia fracture with in-situ intramedullary nail were subjected to intramedullary nail removal. Aims and Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the performance of novel bone-conserving C-arm-free technique of intramedullary nail removal and describe trends such as surgical timing, complications, hardware removal ratio, intraoperative fluoroscopy requirement, comorbidities, and time since the first surgery in patients undergoing the surgical procedure. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective therapeutic observational study conducted from July 2017 to December 2021. Patients having healed tibia fracture with in-situ intramedullary nail were subjected to hardware removal using a novel bone-conserving radiation-free technique. Results: Among 108 patients, 49.72 (%) were men and 50.28 (%) were women. Patient demographics: age-45 years (mean); range-18–75 years. The overall surgical timing was 117.5±2.1 min (mean/S.D). Hypertension was the most common comorbidity overall with the incidence of 32.40% (35/108 patients); maximum 50% in the age group of 46–60 years (12/24 patients). Nail retrieval was possible in all cases with a 100% hardware removal ratio. The most common complication encountered was DVT/Thrombii (7.40%, 8/108 patients), followed by surgical site infection (5.55%, 6/108 patients) and fractures (2.77, 3/108 patients), with maximum complications in the age group of 61–75 years (63.63%, 7/11 patients). Patients presented 3.8±1.1 years (mean/SD) after the first surgery for nail removal. Inspired by the successful genetic algorithm (GA) applications, this study proposes a new approach to improve the convergence rate by incorporating a unique feature, namely 'sub-tour division'. The new method consists of multiple zones of TSPs (i.e., active and inactive), which are used to sort and group the critical region for finding the solutions. To illustrate the performance of the new approach, the traveling distance between various cities in India is considered as a problem. Material and Method:This was a blood centrebased, cross-sectional, sero-prevalence study conducted on blood donorsduring the 3rd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic (Jan-April 2022) under the department of IHTM at Government Medical College, Kota (Rajasthan) India; after getting the permission from the Departmental Research Committee and Institutional Ethical Committee. Samples were tested for the SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody by using CE-markedErbaLisa COVID-19 IgG Antibody Detection ELISAkits based on the principle of indirect ELISA using recombinant spike subunit antigen, developed by Erba Mannheim and Calbiotech. Optical density was measured by calorimetric reaction at a reading wavelength of 450nm to detect the reaction between SARS-COVID-19 IgG Antibodies and Antigens. The statistical analysis was done using IBM SPSS software version 22.0.P-value<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results:In the present study,1320blood donors were enrolled andscreened. Out of them, 97.6% (1288/1320) were found sero-reactive and remaining 2.4% (32/1320) were nonreactive for SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody. Most of them were male donors 1280(97.0%) and female donors were very less 40(3.0%). No statistically significant correlation could be established between age, sex and blood group of the blood donors and seroreactivity(P=1.000; 0.624 and 0.938 respectively). In India, 700 million tons of agricultural waste generated annually is burned by farmers in the fields, which decreases biological activity in soil. The issue of handling the enormous amounts of crop residues that emerge from increased crop output might be resolved by composting. However, different crop residues improve soil physico-chemical and biological properties in different ways. Crop residue incorporation and fertilization (NPK) impact crop productivity due to changes in soil microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous, and the soil enzymatic activity. A field experiment was conducted for two years (2020–2021 and 2021–2022), which comprises five partially composted crop residues treatments viz., control, clusterbean straw, groundnut shell, pearlmillet husk, and sesame stover (added at rate of 5 t ha−1), and four fertilization (NPK) treatments viz., control, 75% RDF, 100% RDF, and 125% RDF. The microbial biomass carbon (MBC), microbial biomass nitrogen (MBN), microbial biomass phosphorus (MBP), enzymatic activities in soil and wheat yield were studied under a semi-arid environment (India). Data showed that the continuous application of crop residues and fertilizer significantly affected MBC, MBN, MBP, and soil enzymatic activity after two years of experimentation in a semi-arid region environment. The highest levels of microbial biomass (viz, MBC, MBN, MBP) and enzyme activities were noticed in the sesame stover and 125% recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) treatments. Therefore, this study highlights the need for restoring crop residue for effective soil management. Background: Pleural effusion has varied aetiological factors. It constitutes one of the major causes of morbidity in India as well in other parts of world. Because of the various aetiologies that can cause pleural effusion, it often present a diagnostic problem, even after extensive investigations. Objective: In this study, we aimed to identify the common aetiologies causing pleural effusion and their clinical profile in a tertiary care hospital. Materials and Methods: A hospital based cross-sectional study is conducted over a period of one year in Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, Sumerpur. 40 patients of pleural effusion above 10 yrs of age were studied. Results: Among all cases (n -40) the exudative type was far more common than transudative one (90% vs. 10%).Tuberculosis was the primary aetiology in more than half of the total cases (57.5%) whereas infection was the next most prevalent cause accounting for 8 cases (20%). These two were followed by malignancy (7.5%), congestive cardiac failure (2%). One case of cirrhosis of liver and one had hypoproteinemia diagnosed. Inappropriate agricultural practices consume more input energy and emit higher greenhouse gases (GHGs) which cause global warming and climate change, thereby threatening environmental sustainability. To identify energy and carbon-efficient varieties and nutrient management practices, the present study was undertaken during the kharif season of 2018 and 2019 in a split-plot design with three varieties of fodder maize (African Tall, J-1006 and P-3396) and four nutrient management practices such as N0: Absolute control, N1: 100% recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF), N2: 75% RDF + plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) + Panchagavya spray and N3: 50% RDF + 25% farmyard manure (FYM) + PGPR + Panchagavya spray). Results indicated that variety J-1006 and applying 75% RDF + PGPR + Panchagavya spray produced significantly higher dry fodder yield. Among the varieties, J-1006 recorded the highest total energy output (224,123 MJ ha−1), net energy (211,280 MJ ha−1), energy use efficiency (17.64), energy productivity (0.98 kg MJ−1), energy profitability (16.64), and lowest specific energy (1.03 MJ ha−1). Regarding nutrient management, 75% RDF + PGPR + Panchagavya spray fetched the highest total energy output (229,470 MJ ha−1) and net energy (215,482 MJ ha−1). However, energy use efficiency, energy productivity, and energy profitability were significantly higher with integrated nutrient management (N2 and N3) over 100% RDF. Concerning the carbon estimation, J-1006 resulted in a significantly higher carbon output (5479 kg CE ha−1), net carbon gain (5029 kg CE ha−1), carbon efficiency (12.46), carbon sustainability index (11.46), and significantly lower carbon footprint per unit yield (CFy) (131.3 kg CO2-e Mg−1). For nutrient management, the application of 75% RDF + PGPR + Panchagavya spray showed significantly higher carbon output (5609 kg CE ha−1) and net carbon gain (5112 kg CE ha−1). However, significantly higher carbon efficiency, carbon sustainability index, and lower CFy were reported with integrated nutrient management over 100% RDF. Overall, selecting the J-1006 variety and applying 75% RDF + PGPR + Panchagavya spray for fodder maize cultivation could be the most productive in terms of dry fodder production, energy, and carbon efficiency approach. The objective of this paper is to develop a universal diffusion model of drying kinetics that can be applied to a variety of shrinkable products such as fruits and vegetables. The main objective is to examine the physical changes that occur during convective air‐drying process of Thompson seedless type cylindrical grapes. These include changes in the physical properties of the product, such as the moisture content, the temperature of the product, and the size of the product. The authors develop a two‐dimensional transient diffusion model and MATLAB that takes into account convection, radiation, and evaporation phenomena under a variety of operating conditions for simulating grape drying and shrinkage. The differential equations are solved for moisture transfer within a cylinder using the finite difference method. A lab‐scale experimental test setup has also been developed and tests are performed. The results obtained from the mathematical model are compared with experimental results and found to be in agreement with a maximum error of 14%. The model is also validated with the results reported in the literature. Meteorological data are used to determine the time‐dependent radiation flux density (I(t)) on a particular day. For each of the investigated conditions, the effective moisture diffusivity (Deff) is determined using Fick's diffusion equation. Volume reduction of a product due to drying process was assumed to be equivalent to moisture removal. A coefficient of effective diffusivity was calculated using drying data collected at constant cabin air temperatures between 50 and 70°C. The maximum radius and length of the grape were reduced by 40.33% and 42.40%, respectively, when the size of the grape was considered to be 6.5 mm radius and 25 mm length. The results of the present mathematical model may be useful for accurately predicting the temperature, moisture content, and size change of the product. Practical Application: Drying food to preserve it is an energy‐intensive process. Solar drying is one of the oldest methods used to preserve agricultural produce. Solar thermal energy has tremendous potential for commercial and industrial drying applications with air temperatures as high as 80°C. Solar drying is prevalent in India because farmers have easy access to solar drying systems. Through the installation of such a system, agricultural products can be dried in agricultural regions. This work provides farmers with added value for their particular products. Solar dryers system ensure significant fossil fuel energy savings. Solar dryers must meet rigorous requirements for dependability and continuous operation. This research contributes to the design, optimization, and control of food drying processes. For each drying time, the extent of moisture distribution, product temperature, and product size are determined. For dryers operating under a variety of operating conditions, this aids in system performance forecasting. Smartphones are one of the most affordable and familiar devices available to people that are used for many scientific applications. Thus, implementing a dedicated mobile app for earthquake early warning (EEW) systems is one of the best options to save money and time to achieve dissemination of earthquake warnings to the public at large. This paper describes the development of a Warning Dissemination System comprising field sirens and mobile apps and presents details of developing a smartphone app for Android and iOS operating systems. The app is designed for the EEW system currently operational in the Northwest Himalayan State of Uttarakhand in India. The app named "Uttarakhand Bhookamp Alert" is freely available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store and has already been downloaded more than 10,000 times. This app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) service for sending earthquake early warnings to the users. The user's basic information and FCM token are saved at the warning server in a database during the user registration process. The information will be shared with the disaster response authorities after a damaging earthquake to rescue affected users requiring help. This app also provides online earthquake safety recommendations and guidance, including how to prepare yourself, find a safe hiding place, and do's and don'ts during an earthquake. Background: Rhino-orbital–cerebral mucor mycosis (ROCM) is a relatively rare opportunistic infection caused by the Mucorales species. While ROCM suggests involvement of the paranasal sinuses, orbit and brain ROM (rhino-orbital-Mucormycosis) stands for the fungal invasion in sinuses and orbit sans cerebral involvement. In India with the outbreak of the second COVID wave and the delta variant of the virus, there has been a steep increase in this opportunistic fulminant fungal infection, named COVID-associated Mucor mycosis (CAM). The most critical question in orbital management is when to go ahead with an exenteration. Our study aims to design a pertinent minimal invasive surgical protocol for surgeons to manage such cases based on our surgical experience and mitigate the need for exenteration and save the eyes wherever possible. Methods: The study is a retrospective analysis of patients of ROM with and without brain involvement, who underwent minimal surgical management between March 2021 to March 2022 along with their follow-up. Results: There were 184 eyes of 148 patients diagnosed with CAM. The mean age was 51.7 years with a male predominance of 103 (70%). All patients developed ROM following the COVID-19 infection and the duration between diagnosis of COVID-19 and ROM was 36 ± 23 days. 18 cases (12%) were bilateral. 76 eyes (41%) had no vision at the presentation. Imaging revealed paranasal sinus involvement (100%), orbital apex involvement (61%), cavernous sinus involvement (53%), and central nervous system (CNS) involvement (47%). All the patients (100%) were treated with systemic Liposomal amphotericin-B and sinus debridement. Endoscopic debridement of the orbital disease was performed in 45 (30.4%) cases, 15(8.1%) eyes underwent exenteration and were later rehabilitated with a customized ocular prosthesis, 103 (56%) eyes underwent transcutaneous retrobulbar amphotericin-B. At a mean follow-up of 13.1 months; the complete resolution was seen in 25 (17%) cases, the residual stable lesion was seen in 77(52%) of the cases and new lesions were developed in 13(9%) of the cases. This study is an attempt to examine the socio-economic and demographic differentials in children ever born and desire for additional child in rural Uttar Pradesh using the empirical data set. Two stage stratified random sampling procedure was applied to select the respondents from ten villages of rural Raebareli district. Total 460 women having with at least one child below ten years of age were interviewed during September 2016 to February 2017. Children ever born (CEB) and desire for another child were the main outcome variables of the study. One-way ANOVA and chi-square test were used in the bi-variate analysis. Poisson regression and logistic regression were used in multivariate analysis. The mean children ever born in the study area was 2.7 children per women and 64.7 per cent of fecund women who had two children and not currently pregnant had no desire for another child. Women's education, economic status of the household, autonomy index and higher caste group were significantly negatively associated with the children ever born in the study area. The desire for another child was significantly higher among those who had only daughters (OR = 1.99; p < 0.01). In conclusion, more emphasis needs to be placed on messages conveyed through the mass media, addressing the benefits of small family size and family planning, and programs that focus on reduction in newborn mortality could also be considered, which would also help to reduce fertility. Goal: The present study aimed to demonstrate the applicability of the fuzzy goal programming to frame the decision support system for the decision-makers to deal with the real-life problem of the agriculture sector namely the apple cultivation planning problem and to obtain an optimum solution. Design / Methodology / Approach: The proposed method occurred within the apple-producing sector in the Kashmir valley of India and included the collection of data through interviews and surveys with various farmers. Also, the results were drawn with the help of LINGO 18.0. Results: The current finding implies that all of the desired objectives have been met, as well as an optimal solution. The proposed model offers a significant approach for designing plans to determine various agricultural activities in a fuzzy decision environment. Finally, the current study conducts a case study in the apple cultivation sector to obtain various competing objectives. Sensitivity analysis was also performed on its preferential weight parameters. Limitations of the investigation: It should be noted that the parameters related to production cost, transportation cost, and cost of material may change over the years. The selling price may also vary according to the quality of apples and over the years. Because of natural factors, the annual production of apples may also vary. Practical implication: The current study shows that using fuzzy goal programming techniques in an apple production process has a huge potential to increase farmers' income. It can be concluded that the current study can help decision-makers to deal with real-life planning issues in the agricultural sector. Future research can also take advantage of other initiation strategies. INTRODUCTION: To accurately estimate the fetus age and follow up on the growth of different fetal organs, it is vital to know the accurate date of birth. It also helps to prevent prenatal and postnatal complications for the newborn. It is common for antenatal mothers to be unaware of last menstrual period (LMP). In such situations, it would be difficult to calculate the delivery date. According to various studies, up to 30% of women were not sure of their LMP. The treating obstetricians would have to be very careful when the exact LMP is unknown in order to prevent post maturity and prematurity deliveries. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The present study is prospective comparative study of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Guntur Medical College and Hospital, Andhra Pradesh, India. After 24 weeks of gestational age are included who are at age between 20-35 yrs which is of 200 sample size in the year 2020-21. Clinical assessment of gestational age was done by palpating the fundal height of the patient. Following this using ultrasound, meam fetal kidney length (FKL) along with other fetal parameters were calculated. RESULT: In the present study, BPD ranged from 28-40 wks, whereas the mean BPD was 35.25+2.67 HC ranged between 27-40 and the mean BPD was 35.35+2.88 MKL ranged between 27-41 and the mean MKL was 35.93+3.49. Upon the composite of multiple parameters GA ranged between 27.8-39.6 and the mean was 3.5.36+2.7. CONCLUSION: The FKL is very much useful in assessing the gestational age. From our study we state that there is a significant correlation between fatal kidney length and the gestational age. Hence fetal kidney is appropriate in estimation of gestational age. This paper examines the effect of maternal healthcare utilization on early neonatal, neonatal and post-neonatal mortality in India using the recent round of National Family Health Survey (NFHS-4) data. At the national level, for the last live birth of women during the five year preceding the survey, the early neonatal mortality rate was about 16, neonatal mortality rate was 19 and post-neonatal mortality was 7 per thousand live births. Also, only one-fifth of women who had a birth in the past five years received full antenatal care (ANC), 83 percent women received safe delivery and 65 percent women received post-natal care. Findings of the study indicate that full ANC and postnatal care were significantly associated with early neonatal and neonatal mortality. However, no significant association between safe delivery and newborn mortality were found after adjusting the socio-economic and demographic characteristics. Therefore, for a policy point of view, there is a dire need to strengthen supply dependent factors regarding public awareness, accessibility, and affordability of maternal and child healthcare services. It is also necessary to focus on increasing utilization along with continuum of care of maternal and child healthcare services to sustain the reduction in mortality during infancy. Symptoms of leaf roll, swollen nodes, flat branch and witches' broom were observed in five cultivars of sweet cherry from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir province, India, during 2019–2021. Phytoplasmas association were confirmed by amplifying 16S rRNA, secA, rp, tuf and secY genes with phytoplasma-specific primers in all symptomatic sweet cherry cultivars in nested PCR assays. Pairwise sequence comparison, phylogeny and virtual RFLP (16S rRNA gene) analyses confirmed the presence of 'Candidatus Phytoplasma asteris' and 'Ca. P. trifolii' strains in the sweet cherry samples. The incidence of flat branch and witches' broom symptoms associated with 'Ca. P. trifolii' varied from 5.8 to 25% in cultivars Bigarreau Nepoleon (Double), Bigarreau Noir Grossa and CITH-Cherry-9. However, incidence of leaf rolling, swollen nodes and bud proliferation associated with 'Ca. P. asteris' was recorded 7.5% in cultivar Stella and 10% in Sunburst, respectively, in the surveyed area. The multigene characterization of sweet cherry phytoplasma strains confirmed the validity of these molecular markers for identification of phytoplasmas enclosed in 16SrI and 16SrVI groups. Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of thrombolysis using Tenecteplase (TNK) versus alteplase in acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) patients within 4.5-hour window period. Methods: This retrospective study involved the collection of data from consecutive AIS patients who underwent thrombolysis in the Department of Neurology at a tertiary care university hospital, between May 2018 to January 2021. Data including clinical history, neurological assessment using modified Rankin score (mRS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), brain neuroimaging, treatment, and outcome details were collected. The primary efficacy outcome was the proportion of patients with good functional recovery (mRS of 0–2) at 90 days of follow-up. Results: Total of 42 patients with AIS underwent thrombolysis, of which 19 received alteplase and 23 got TNK. The median (range) onset to door time [120 (20-210) versus 120 (30-210) minutes; P = 0.823] and median (range) onset to needle time [150 (60-255) versus 160 (50-240) minutes; P = 0.779] were comparable in both alteplase and TNK groups, respectively. The primary outcome of good functional recovery (mRS ≤2) at 3 months was observed in more than half the patients in each group and was comparable (P = 0.701). Post-thrombolysis complications including cerebral haemorrhage (symptomatic or asymptomatic) were comparable between the two groups (31.6% vs 30.4%; P = 0.936), except a significantly higher proportion of patients on TNK required mechanical ventilation (10.5% v/s 43.5%; P = 0.019). Conclusions: This study showed a comparable efficacy and safety profile of alteplase and TNK in thrombolysis of AIS throughout the 4.5 hours window period. Mine waste dump material has no economic value to the industry. Therefore, the mine waste is dumped, forming slopes. Mine waste dump slopes obtain 30% to 50% of the mining area. To reduce the land occupancy of these slopes, they are created with high altitudes. Hence, they are susceptible to failure. Slope stability analysis is a major aspect of geotechnical engineering. Slope stability analyses are mostly done with assumptions on the geometry. This is avoided in this paper with the usage of UAVs. The 3D model is created from UAV imagery of a coal mine in Raniganj coalfield, India. The model is fine-tuned with the DGPS survey. Geotechnical data were collected and tested in the laboratory for various numerical analyses. An active mine waste dump slope is analyzed for slope failure. Earthquakes and rainfall cannot be controlled, and their effects on the stability of the mine waste dump slope were examined. The study extracted various factor of safety (FOS) analyses on static, seismic, and rainfall conditions. The seismic condition simulates a condition of the slope to be failed with low (0.948) FOS. However, rainfall condition predicts the slope to be more stable. The deformation pattern and magnitude of the slope failure are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The mobility turn offers a rich terrain for research to investigate the exercise of politics and power in movement through attention to associated meanings and practices. Despite this, the ontologies that can anchor this research within a historical imagination remains largely uncharted. Happily for us, coming from the opposite direction history, and especially the field of transport history, has grappled with mobilizing history in the face of the mobility turn. Several scholars have offered "usable past" as a mode of mobilizing mobility cultures of the past to inform policy actors about future choices. But is the ontology of a usable past appropriate for countries enmeshed within pre/post/colonial histories of displacement in their society and culture? Employing a case of automobilization in the city of Bengaluru in India, this paper sketches an exposition of the "displaced past" in sedimented residues that continues to live and contest the enterprise of automobility. India has the largest dairy industry in the world and accounts for a significant share of the global emission of livestock methane ( CH 4 ), a potent greenhouse gas (GHG). While previous works have examined the large-scale livestock CH 4 emissions in India, bottom-up studies are essential to account for the diverse farm conditions and practices across the subcontinent. We developed a Methane Calculator for Indian livestock sector using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Tier 2 methodology for estimating methane emissions from enteric fermentation and manure management. Using this calculator, we undertook a study of emissions from four dairy farms in the tropical coastal district of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in June 2019. Livestock population and milk production data were collected from the four farms, to compute a mean CH 4 emission of 0.7183 kg CO 2 equivalents/kg of fat and protein corrected milk (kg CO 2 e/kg FPCM), with a notable farm-to-farm variability (63.3%). Having implemented the latest available guidelines outlined by the IPCC, our results are a valuable new addition to the existing body of knowledge in the measurement of dairy farm GHG emissions. We present this as a pilot study, demonstrating a simple method to perform bottom-up investigations of dairy GHG emissions and further formulate policy interventions and mitigation strategies at the farm level. Background and Aim: Thiopurines are widely used to maintain remission in both ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD). Reported effectiveness and tolerability rates have been variable across studies. There are only sparse data in Asian population regarding the long‐term efficacy and safety of thiopurines. Methods: Records of 5351 patients followed up at inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) clinic, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi from 2004 to 2020 were evaluated retrospectively. Safety was evaluated in terms of long‐term adverse events and development of malignancy. Results: Of 5351 patients with IBD, 1093 who received thiopurine for > 3 months (UC = 788 [proctitis—1.9%, left‐sided colitis—44.9%, & pancolitis—53.1%] & CD = 305 [inflammatory—42.6%, stricturing—46.9%, & fistulizing—10.5%]) were included (60.8%—male patients). Follow up and treatment duration on thiopurine were 7 (4–12) years and 39.4 ± 40.3 months, respectively, with 254 (23.2%) patients receiving thiopurines for more than 5 and 68 (6.2%) receiving for more than 10 years. Three hundred and fifty‐nine (UC: 249 [31.6%]; CD: 110 [36.1%]; P = 0.1) patients developed adverse events; commonest was myelosuppression (23.4%) followed by gastrointestinal intolerance (3%), flu‐like illness (1.7%), and arthralgia/myalgia (1.4%). Myelosuppression was the commonest cause of thiopurine withdrawal. No patient (including 254 patients on thiopurine for ≥ 5 years) developed lymphoma or non‐melanoma skin cancer. The cumulative probability of staying free from adverse events in overall IBD cohort at 1, 2, and 5 years was 78.6%, 71.9%, and 68.4%, respectively, and this was comparable between UC and CD (P = 0.09). Conclusion: Long‐term follow up of patients with IBD from northern India on thiopurine monotherapy demonstrated minimal risk of development of lymphoma as well as non‐melanoma skin cancer.
