The India is an agriculture-based country, infection by microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria, or other lower-class organisms is a major issue for obtaining a high-quality crop, and it will have an impact on both the quality and quantity of production. The ergot is one of the common diseases seen in cereal crop caused by fungus Claviceps purpurea, and Secale cornutum is a homoeopathic medicine prepared from Claviceps purpurea fungus infected rye plants. Homoeopathy is a science originated on the principle of "Similia Similibus Curenture" and by application of this principle; authors have conducted in vitro study with an aim to check the efficacy of the homoeopathic drug Secale cornutum against the fungal infection Claviceps purpurea. Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) mixed with distilled water and slightly heated the mixture through water bath to mix it well, then 13 PDA agar plate was prepared, out of which 4 duplicate plates were prepared for various potencies (Q, 30C, 200C, 1M) of Hom. Medicine Secale cornutum . Four agar plates and their four duplicates were treated with homoeopathic medicine Secale cornutum with potencies of Q, 30C, 200C, 1M. A serial dilution of active control fungicide crapton was prepared with 1ml of water of 10-1, 10-2, 10-3, 10-4, 10-5 and 10-6 out of which three agar plates were treated with serial dilution of active control of 10-1, 10-3, and 10-6. One plate was treated with alcohol and one plate for negative control. Optimum density (OD) of fungus culture was prepared and 50 mules of 1 OD was diffused with each agar plate. To observe the zone of inhibition three wells of 8mm diameter were inserted in each plate, and kept those at 25°C in incubator for 72 hrs. In this research, only the serial dilutions of active control crapton 10-1 and 10-3 showed zones of inhibition of 38mm and 26mm, respectively, but none of the potencies (Q, 30C, 200C, 1M) of homoeopathic medicine Secale cornutum, showed any zone of inhibition. Inhibition and /or control of the infection using of homoeopathic medicine was our prime objective so we have explored antifungal activity of various potency Q, 30C, 200C, and 1M of Secale cornutum. The government of India in its 72nd year of the republic had drafted the new bill entitled "New Drugs, Medical Devices and Cosmetics Bill 2022" which seeks to replace the existing "Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940". Earlier in this Act, Chapter V mentions the support of regulatory authorities for Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani drug. However, the new draft of the bill includes Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathic drugs and proposes to develop new innovative drugs by establishing their scientific research board. Owing to the new suggestions put forth in this new draft an opinion is addressed in this letter concerned with quality standards, drug-proving trials, safety standards, and efficacy standards for homeopathic drugs. Background: Communicable diseases are major health hazards in developing countries like India. Due to alteration in host, environment or agent factors, there are various manifestations as well as severity were seen in Dengue cases. So, it is imperative to know about management of this communicable disease in brief as well as preventive measures to maintain good health in Community. Integrated approach with alternative medicine opens a new path for management of Communicable diseases in effective way. Material And Methods: At the Manglam Clinic Rajkot, 30 year old patient with Post Dengue Fever weakness was treated with individualized homoeopathy between 30/09/2021 to 03/10/2021. The treatment involved prescription of individually selected homoeopathic single remedy. During Follow up visits, outcome was assessed with Blood Report and general wellbing feeling of patient. Result: over an observation, an increasingly beneficial result from individualized Homoeopathy was noted in post Dengue Fever Weakness as well as on laboratory reports. Conclusion: Homoeopathy is branch of medical science and known for its gentle healing. This gentle art of healing finds a good scope in integrated Management of Post Dengue Fever Weakness. To compare the difference between primary homoeopathic and conventional paediatric care in treating acute illnesses in children in their first 24 months of life. One hundred eight Indian singleton newborns delivered at 37 to 42 weeks gestation were randomised at birth (1:1) to receive either homoeopathic or conventional primary care for any acute illness over the study period. In the homoeopathic group, conventional medical treatment was added when medically indicated. Clinicians and parents were unblinded. Children in the homoeopathic group experienced significantly fewer sick days than those in the conventional group (RR: 0.37, 95% CI: 0.24-0.58; p < 0.001), with correspondingly fewer sickness episodes (RR: 0.53, 95% CI: 0.32-0.87; p = .013), as well as fewer respiratory illnesses over the 24-month period. They were taller (F (1, 97) = 8.92, p = .004, partial eta squared = 0.84) but not heavier than their conventionally treated counterparts. They required fewer antibiotics, and their treatment cost was lower., Conclusion: Homoeopathy, using conventional medicine as a safety backdrop, was more effective than conventional treatment in preventing sick days, sickness episodes, and respiratory illnesses in the first 24 months of life. It necessitated fewer antibiotics and its overall cost was lower. Introduction: Low back and neck pain are common musculoskeletal disorders with multiple treatment options. India's traditional medical systems, known as Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy) offer range of interventions and are widely used. In view of limited documentation of adverse events following Ayush interventions for lumbar and cervical spondylosis, we synthesized evidence and estimated proportion of studies reporting adverse events., Methods: We systematically searched all published documents from biomedical and multidisciplinary abstract and citation databases and Ayush-specific repositories from their inception to April 2021. We selected studies as per inclusion criteria and extracted information, adhering to PRISMA guidelines. We systematically reviewed the qualitative evidence form the selected studies., Results: Majority (94%) of the selected 113 studies were interventional studies and included 77 (68.1%) journal articles and 35 (31%) academic dissertations. Among the Ayush systems, considerable proportion was from Ayurveda (32.7%), followed by Siddha (24.8%), Yoga (22.1%), Unani (15.9%) and Homoeopathy (4.4%). Almost three-fourths of the studies were on lumbar spondylosis (65%; n = 74), followed by cervical spondylosis (31%; n = 35), and the remaining four included both. Thirteen percent of the 113 studies described adverse events [Yoga = 9.7%; Unani = 1.8% and Homoeopathy = 1.8%]. More adverse events were reported among the studies on lumbar (9.7%) than cervical spondylosis (2.7%). The nature of interventions were non-pharmacological (10.6%; n = 12), pharmacological (n = 2; 1.8%) or combined (n = 1; 0.9%)., Conclusions: Only one in eight studies reported any adverse event following Ayush interventions for cervical and lumbar spondylosis. Allergy, formally called type I (or immediate) hypersensitivity is one of four or more forms of hypersensitivity manifesting in various forms like, Atopic eczema, Allergic urticaria, Allergic rhinitis, Allergic asthma,, Food allergy, etc. The growing incidence of Food allergy needs attention since its burden is mainly on children and adolescents. Various factors has been attributed to the growing incidence of food allergy such as food habits, cooking habits, cultural differences, various developmental parameters and exchange of food products. The World Allergy Organization has estimated 220 to 550 million people suffering from food allergy with a large chunk of population from the developed countries. No concrete data is available on status of food allergy in India though some sporadic research has been published. In spite of diligent research worldwide, an effective mechanism to cure this condition has not been evolved till today. Background: The objective was to assess the usefulness of Homoeopathic genus epidemics (Arsenic alba 30C) for the prevention of Covid 19 during its pandemic outbreak in the state of Gujrat District Anand, City Anand, India. Materials and Methods: A non-randomized, clinical trial was conducted in Anand city for prevention of Covid 19 during the pandemic outbreak in June 2020 to December 2020. Arsenic alba 30C was randomly administered to 1133 participants. Healthy participants (absence of fever, runny nose, cough etc., but comorbidity like DM & HTN included) were eligible for the study (Arsenic alba 30 C n =1133). Monthly follow-up was done for 6 months. Infection rate in the study groups was analyzed and compared by use of cluster analysis. Results: The findings showed that only 4 persons out of 1133 persons of Arsenic alba 30 C group suffered from Covid 19. Cluster analysis showed significant prevention during Pandemic without any vaccine or other medications. [Incidence rate = 0.35%]. Conclusion: Arsenic alba 30C as genus epidemics is much better in decreasing the incidence of Covid 19 in cluster in Anand. The efficacy of genus epidemicus needs to be replicated in different areas. In today's world, civilisation is striving hard to restore order in the socio-economic and health sectors after the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Despite widespread immunisation efforts worldwide, cases are still being reported frequently. The complete eradication of COVID-19 from society remains a far-fetched task, and it may continue to be a lurking threat in the days to come. However, offering promise, the complementary and alternative medicinal system (CAM) has proven effective in managing COVID-19 in conjunction with the existing therapeutic approaches. In this review, the overall efficacy of CAMs against SARS CoV-2 has been compiled on a single platform based on information collected from various databases such as 'Google Scholar,' 'PubMed,' 'Science Direct,' 'Shodhganga,' and 'Research Gate,' as described in the methods. The databases of WHO and AYUSH, Government of India, have also been followed. This analytical review suggests that the CAM system (Unani, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, and Homoeopathy) has been extensively used with proven efficacy in the treatment of COVID-19. Clinical outcomes have also been correlated with its efficacy. The CAM system can be widely adopted for both therapeutic and preventive measures, boosting the body's immunity. Integrating CAM into the management of COVID-19 could offer an option not only to control the symptoms during the infection but also to prevent the resurgence of such a pandemic in the future. This article examines the medical life of a native physician who embraced homoeopathy despite being trained in the dominant pathy i.e. allopathy at the prestigious Calcutta Medical College in the 1860s. Mahendralal Sarkar, the physician in focus, was one of the first famous converts to homoeopathy. His seeking of an alternative option created space and legitimacy for homoeopathy. Through the journal Calcutta Journal of Medicine that Sarkar founded, he, with great ability, asserted and defended his right as a physician to decide in favour of homoeopathy. Sarkar gradually established himself as an accomplished homoeopath and was recognised as an important public figure of Calcutta. Indian patients’ preference for integrated homoeopathy services remains underresearched. Two earlier surveys revealed favorable attitude toward and satisfaction from integrated services. The objectives of this study were to examine knowledge, attitudes, and practice of homoeopathy and to evaluate preference toward its integration into secondary-level health care. A cross-sectional survey was conducted during May to October 2015 among 659 adult patients visiting randomly selected secondary-level conventional health care setups in Kolkata, Mumbai, Kottayam, and New Delhi (India) using a self-administered 24-item questionnaire in 4 local vernaculars (Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, and Hindi). Knowledge and practice scores were compromised; attitude scores toward integration and legal regulation were high. Respondents were uncertain regarding side effects of homoeopathy and concurrent use and interactions with conventional medicines. A total of 82.40% (95% confidence interval = 79.23, 85.19) of the participants were in favor of integrating homoeopathy services. Preference was significantly higher in Delhi and lower in Kottayam.
