The library and information services of the twenty first century are rapidly changing education learning patterns because of the rapid development of electronic publishing libraries. However, the literature reveals the considerable unpredictability in experience, challenges, and awareness about E-resources among college students during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic scenario. In the aftermath of the pandemic, everyone has been forced to learn and teach E-resources in educational institutions worldwide. Along with their academic demands, college students are confronted by a lack of knowledge of handling e-learning resources and low network connectivity in remote regions. In this aspect, this study commenced to describe the experience, challenges, and awareness about e-learning resources. A descriptive and diagnostic research design was adopted and primary data was collected from college students through Google Forms with participant consent. The basic information about respondents, experience, challenges, and awareness of E-resources are tools of the study. The statistical analysis is to be carried out based on the study's objective. This analysis was used to identify influential factors and to explore the relationships between e-learning experience, and resource awareness. Objectives: To develop a tool to assess pre-writing skills of 2-5 y old children in India., Methods: The tool development process followed the recommendations by Fitzpatrick et al. and the Consensus based Standards for the selection of health Measurement Instruments (COSMIN), and included 4 phases. In Phase I, an initial 35-item draft tool was developed by an expert panel for the tool-development. In Phase II, the 35-item draft tool was prevalidated through peer and expert reviews, pilot-study to assess the tool-comprehensibility, and assessment of test-retest and inter-rater reliability. In Phase III, the 35-item draft tool was administered on the 575 typically developing children aged 2-5 y, recruited from rural, urban, slum, and coastal areas through stratified random sampling. In Phase IV, the normative age-range for development of each item was generated by calculating the age-percentiles (10 th , 25 th , 50 th , 75 th , 90 th ). Factor analysis and item reduction was done for items in 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5 y age-groups. The final tool was converted to graphic format with 10 th -90 th age-percentile bars., Results: The final tool had 26 items with a three-factor structure. Cronbach's alpha was within acceptable limits for all three age-groups (0.723, 0.778, and 0.823 in 2-3 y, 3-4 y, and 4-5 y respectively). Kappa coefficients of the items ranged from 0.6-1 in interrater reliability and 0.64-1 test-retest reliability analysis reflecting substantial agreement between ratings., Conclusions: A 26-item screening tool "Prewriting skills Assessment Tool" (PAT) to assess writing readiness of 2-5 y old children was developed. Background: A quality of life (QoL) assessment tool needs to be translated and validated in the language of the participants to whom it is administered. Therefore, the oral health impact profile-14 (OHIP-14) scale, developed originally in English, has been translated into different languages like Hindi, Gujrati, etc. The Marathi version of OHIP-14 will be useful to assess in regions where the Marathi language is prominently spoken. Thus, the present study was carried out to translate and validate the Marathi version of the OHIP-14 instrument to measure the oral health-related quality of life. Aims & Objectives: To translate and validate the English Version of the OHIP-14 instrument in the Marathi Language. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study in which 128 participants were selected through a convenient sampling method. The English version of the OHIP-14 was translated using the forward-backward translation technique, and participants were given English and the Marathi versions of the OHIP-14 questionnaire. The filled questionnaires were subjected to statistical analysis. Result: The difference in mean scores was not statistically significant(p=0.828). Pearson's correlation coefficient test was 0.999, suggesting that the translated Marathi version is highly correlated with the original English version. Conclusion: The Marathi version of OHIP-14 is a valid, and reliable instrument for assessing QoL among the population who speak Marathi. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Preparing healthcare students for community care has been emphasised due to the global ageing population. An instrument to measure students' community care competency is lacking. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the psychometric properties of a new scale known as Community Care Competency Scale (CCCS) for measuring nursing students' community care competency. CCCS consists of 21 items derived from literature review and community care standards. Content validity was established through a panel of seven experts in the areas of knowledge with a content validity index of 0.96. A cross‐sectional study was undertaken in a university in Singapore by using an anonymous self‐administered questionnaire to nursing students, and obtained a response rate of 87% (n = 283). Psychometric properties were explored using convergent and known‐group validity testing, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and Cronbach's alpha test. The results showed good convergent and known‐group validity. EFA and CFA showed a coherent construct of the 21 items of CCCS in a one‐factor model. The Cronbach's alpha of 0.94 indicated excellent internal consistency. The CCCS is a valid, reliable and easy‐to‐administer instrument that measures community care competency. This instrument will contribute to the empirical body of knowledge on evaluating the effectiveness of community care educational programmes for nursing students to prepare future healthcare professionals. Background: The oral health impact profile-14 (OHIP-14) scale developed originally in English has been translated from time to time in different languages revealing to be valid and reliable instruments.Aim: The present study was carried out with an aim to translate and validate Hindi Version of OHIP-14 instrument among geriatrics to measure the oral health-related quality of life.Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study, which employed 400 individuals aged 60 years and above who were residents of Durg, Chhattisgarh India. Participants were selected through convenient sampling method. The English version of the OHIP-14 was translated into Hindi, pretested and subsequently administered to the participants by a trained interviewer. Each patient signed informed consent and responded to the Hindi version of the questionnaire.Result: Cronbach's alpha of the translated scale was 0.89-0.90 when words were deleted individually. Comparison of English and translated Hindi version of OHIP-14 by unpaired t-test showed no significant difference (P = 0.562). Pearson correlation coefficient test showed very strong positive correlation (0.892). Furthermore, a very strong positive correlation was observed between the recorded OHIP-14 scores and Decayed Missing Filled Teeth (DMFT) scores of examined geriatric individuals (Pearson correlation coefficient = 0.952 and P = 0.001).Conclusion: The Hindi translation of the OHIP-14 is a valid and reliable instrument to measure the oral health-related quality of life in older adults of India. The aim of this study is to develop an attitude scale about Kisan Call Centres (KCC) for dairy farming community. The purpose of scale construction is to design a questionnaire that provides a quantitative measurement of a theoretical variable. The method of Likert's summated rating was used to develop the attitude scale. A sum of 60 statements was selected by reviewing the literatures and given to the farmers of non-sample area in Tamil Nadu for their opinion on KCC. Those statements were then formulated using Likert Summated Rating Scale method and based upon 't' value obtained for each statement, 34 statements were retained on the final scale. The reliability and validity of the scale indicates its precision and consistency of the results. This scale can be used to measure farmers' attitude beyond the study area with suitable modifications in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
