POLITICAL campaigns , *PRESIDENTS of the United States - Abstract
The article focuses on the political campaign of U.S. President Harry S. Truman to the Midwest farmers in Dexter, Iowa. Accordingly, during the campaign of Truman in the place, the prognosticators were counting him out, because the majorities of the Republican had run up in 1946 in the Midwest. Consequently, it was then when the farm prices were falling and the President and his advisers were worried that the prosperity they had been counting on to win votes in the farm areas was to fall flat.
