Abstract

An application of the intake fraction methodology was carried out in the southwestern area of the city of Turin, Italy, one of Europe's more polluted areas. The results from the case study were compared to similar analysis published in the literature and the intake Fraction (iF) formulation was critically revised and evaluated. These findings imply that there is potential for improving the evaluation of exposure to transport-related air pollution based on the use of the iF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
